Avoid banking with HSBC UAE as much as you can.
One of the worst banks I have ever dealt with in my life.
Their systems are not secure and when fraud and theft occurs on your credit cards they do not support and push the responsibility on others (apple pay) by simply stating that this is their responsibility not ours.
My credit card was hacked and the fraudsters used it for 50,800 AED. HSBC have declined to refund and are denying that it is their fault, this was done over Apple Pay by the so nothing like the usual phone scams. This has been 7 months now and they still refuse. I have opened a 2nd police report and will be going to court.
Of course anyone with HSBC account in UAE would tell you that also their support service is very bad and their application and website are outdated . Avoid them if you can. I will be closing my accounts soon hopefully once I try and settle some pending issues with them.

ZERO SERVICE.remittances are delayed, employees don't care.phonebanking is 10 minutes long.phone PIN cannot be transferred. What else you can add? Totally unfit.

WORST BANK I'VE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.
They deserve 0 stars. I've never come across such bad planning, horrific IT, incompetent employees and frustrating correspondence. I am not sure if their goal was to hire the cheapest staff ever but you get what you pay for.

Nothing is clear, many emails back and forth, the simplest things any bank can manage, they are able to mess it up.

I have no idea, but this company needs to fire its complete board, C-suite and then restructure, but HSBC here will never ever change I think.

Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the services this bank provides. I’ve requested for card closure 3 weeks ago and until now it has not been actioned, where as I requested the same with 3 other banks and they have done it within 7 working days. I’ve been calling twice a day for a week now and they all give me the r same answer, we will escalate and request to work on this on priority basis. Nothing happens from here! The worst experience ever!

This bank is putting me through a lot! A scam happened with me in which transactions occurred which I was not aware of. I did not even receive an OTP even though they were large transactions. When I called them they did not do anything to help me nor have they responded to me through emails. Can anyone advise me on what to do? Nobody is safe as they can easily approve a big transaction without OTP. I have told them to investigate this issue but they are not helping me at all. This is not a good bank and I would never recommend it to anyone.

Very bad experience, more than 30 minutes waiting in every call to get the answer in our calls. Although I have a premier account that I expected to be treated fast, and also there were many fraud actions against my credit card, which cost me more than 10000 AED?
I don't recommend using the credit card of HSBC at all under whatsoever benefits.
There is nothing less than one star to upload my review.

I have a very bad experience with the bank i have credit card with them and am paying regularly but i had financial issues recently, i explained to them my situation and i provided all requested documents but with no result, i can say there is no care of their customers. There are only more and more charges!

Really Sorry, but this kind of services can't be expected from this kind of renowned & established bank. I was chasing the bank everyday but still there was delayed revert with no assistance as well as no resolution.

HSBC UAE has been a severe disappointment in recent times. With my expectation of high-standard service from such a globally recognized bank, the experiences I have encountered are quite frustrating and do not align with the bank's reputed stature.

Firstly, I've experienced a multitude of card errors and unwarranted blocks. I understand the need for security measures to prevent fraudulent activity, but there have been numerous instances where my card has been blocked for no clear or reasonable cause. This results in great inconvenience, especially during times of urgency.

Not only does the card frequently face issues, but the payment system seems equally flawed. On multiple occasions, my transactions were unnecessarily delayed, affecting my financial planning and management. Moreover, the processes to resolve such problems are convoluted and time-consuming, rather than being straightforward and user-friendly.

But perhaps the most discouraging aspect of HSBC UAE's service is their customer service. Instead of being helpful and understanding, I've found their representatives to be inadequately trained, often lacking correct information, and slow to respond. It's perplexing to be kept waiting for prolonged periods only to receive unsatisfactory solutions to issues that shouldn't have existed in the first place.

Moreover, there is a distinct lack of transparency and communication in their interactions with customers. I've had difficulty receiving clear explanations for the issues at hand, which creates an environment of confusion and uncertainty. As a customer, being kept in the dark regarding my own financial issues is not acceptable.

It's disheartening to see HSBC UAE fall short in so many key areas. For a bank that holds such a significant presence worldwide, the level of service delivered here has been below par. I sincerely hope HSBC UAE addresses these problems swiftly to improve its customer experience. In its current state, I find it challenging to recommend their services.

Remember, banking should be a reliable facilitator of your life, not an additional source of stress. Consider this review before making your decision.

If you are looking to transfer money internationally it may look like its the best bank since its international and global but you are wrong.
I made an international transfer of AED 10k to my own bank account in India middle of march and the amount has still not reached. I have spoken to them at least three times and the customer service are like robots that give the same answer, no call back, no clarification and when I requested to cancel the transaction they said I would be charged x $'s to cancel the transaction.
Its difficult for me to believe how are they even running this bank here.
Stay away from HSBC.if there was a way to give them negative 5 out 5 I would.

Avoid this bank, Just like you put stone in your head and cry like a baby.the system is more like a scamming. I send money with my sister last Dec 11 send to it to my sister account in Qatar. Until now they cannot confirm where is my money today is Jan26. This bank is not reliable like if you want to use banking for emergency purposes or for business purposes.

I wouldn't recommend HSBC bank to anyone and as they say 'Think transfer think HSBC', NEVER think HSBC. Transfer from any other bank would be better. I did a International transfer to USA for 10,079.68$ USD. Due to some HSBC mistake my funds was stuck and never reached Beneficiary. Beneficiary recommend me to recall, i did a recall. Beneficiary bank gave back 10,079.68 $ USD extact amount. HSBC ate my money. 'Transfer rate difference' it gave me back less amount. They didn't charge me for the recall as i told them its their fault but how come when doing a recall and especially when its HSBC's mistake, how come think think to earn a profit on the rate difference? !? ! Its a recall, not a transfer! They should give exact money back as Beneficiary bank WellsFargo did, WellsFargo could also say rate difference and give a less amount than 10,079.68 $ but it was a recall they gave back exact amount. Shame that HSBC thinks to earn money on recalls aswell.

Very poor level of service from HSBC, nothing like the team in the UK

Management need to be urgently changed before the local reputation gets worse.

I have been a customer for 25 years but sadly changing banks as this one is no longer the same standard as before

كله كذب الي بحكي انه ممتاز,

I had made international transactions and for some reason i called to the bank and requested them to cancell that transactions not to send same time they stopped it and it’s already been a month they didn’t refund my deducted amount into my account and top of that they even don’t reply of Email

The worst bank, worst customer service, worst policies, even if you have all your salary account and credit cards with them, they treat you like s**t! Avoid HSBC at any cost and save yourself from headaches and all the unreasonable troubles they give you

No other bank could be more worse than HSBC.
From opening of an account to activation to usage every step has been a painful experience.
The app has zero functionality, doesn’t work at all with cryptos, transfer of payment takes too much of time, bank support is useless, cash deposit/withdrawal machines are close to none

This is the worst bank to handle your money. This bank will hide behind compliance to squeeze each n every fils from accounts weather as a direct service or intermediary services for example if they are acting as intermediary bank they will freeze your transfer and keep asking the initiating bank about the same information each time they handle your transfer resulting in keeping your money parked in their internal accounts likely accumulating interest for weeks and sometimes months.

DO NOT DEAL WITH Regional BANKS THAT USE HSBC AS INTERMEDIARY BANK.

May be worst bank in UAE for anything.
They do not provide any detail (except your account number) when you approach them through phone banking (after entering PIN and all) or through internet banking they ask to visit branch for tiniest tasks. When you visit branch they keep promise you to serve in 15 minutes but most of the times it will not take less than one hrs (they usually have only 2 counters open out of 8-10) once you number comes you will ask them get a letter or anything they will you that they have taken your request and ask you to come after 3 days (don't dare to ask for acknowledgement for your request) and they will not deliver to your address sighting security reasons (same address they will deliver checkbooks and even your credit card).
So do not approach HSBC for anything and avoid opening doors to hell (there are so many other nice banks like emirates NBD, Noor, Mashrek etc).

As a customer, my feedback is this is a bank you cannot trust in anything they say or write. If they tell you 1 you may find it 100. The best decision you do to yourself is to avoid them.

Institutions with high volume of transactions like banks may face high customer challenges and low ratings. The issue with HSBC is more fundemental as it is related to the core ethical values of their business practices.

Today I decided to close all my accounts at this Bank. For the past 15 years I used to be the loyal PREMIER acccount holder taking the HSBC wherever I may have roamed within the Middle East.

Unfortunately, the level of their professionalism, customer care just rocked the buttom. People are too arrogant to apologize for a mistake and insult they had caused to their clients.

Well done HSBC, I had been ignoring all the hints of your deformed customer centricity and deterioration, all my colleagues and business co-workers checked out many years before I did today. I know understand why HSBC is leaving this region, not because they don’t have customers but because they lack the manners of serving customers regardless regular, advance or premier.
