I have never seen a bank with worse service in my entire life I came in with a problem regarding the atm machine detaining my money that was deposited and the response I get is why are you frustrated such poor level of customer service I have never experienced anywhere in Dubai I hope the management of this bank will employ more qualified people to deal with customers

Worst bank ever, not helping you, charging you for paperwork and not fulfilling their obligations. Waiting for paperwork for more than 15 days, and when you call them they dont do anything only thing that you hear is “sorry”. Feels like they are forsing you to stay in the hsbc. So unprofessional and bad banking.

Absolutely pathetic experience. The CSRs were busy ranting about their lives while the customers were waiting to get their work done. I went there to get my bank statement and it was given to me pretty quickly in a sealed envelope. The statement was missing the bank’s stamp on many pages and was not covering the time duration that I wanted it for. Could have been more attentive while dealing with customers

If u use balance transfer on HSBC credit card, their statements are not clear. Even if u pay the total amount mentioned on the first face sheet of the statement, still hsbc will impose you finance charge.the comedy is that HSBC states that the total amount to pay to avoid any finance charge/interest.still thay impose finance charge.

Second tragedy/comedy is that after canceling the card i got statement with payable balance.i cleared whole total amount (pre-condition for closure) informed by the HSBC agent before cancelling my card.

One of the worst HSBC Branch just not because of limited resources available at this branch but also with customer service. I visited the branch to open a new account and met this gentleman who was in a cabin (after 45 mins wait time) while other female colleagues of him were in open area. After discussing the challenge I was experiencing with online account opening, he promised that he will get the needful done and will reach me within 4 working days to submit documents so that account can be opened. On asking for a reference he promised that he will update via email which he verified from my previous profile, and told that in next visit I won’t have to wait and can come with an appointment directly to him. But nobody contacted me neither via email nor via call. This is a sign of poor customer service and having such employees definitely make negative impact to an organisation.

Long story short do not believe this branch for anything verbally committed and ensure you have a reference for follow up. One of the worst customer service center at HSBC Bank.

The worst branch ever. Tried to get the bank statement printed but the printout was not clear at all. And they asked us to go to the dubai mall branch if we need clear printout because they have a problem with the printer for 6 months. It’s not been fixed. What a silly and shameful thing to say to your customers. I actually considered my self to cancel all my accounts in HSBC

Disaster! Dozens of ppl waiting, only 2 of 3 counters open, you’ll need to wait 2+ hours to get attended. HSBC management - you need to be ashamed running this operation! Your customers are waiting hours to get the service just because of your greediness - you don’t want to spend money for rental and staff wage, I bet you’d put your service counter in corridor of moe would allow. Shame on you!

Long delays even when it’s empty. Most people wait and leave. Even though I waited mostly alone for 35 mins, the assistant was adamant to run through all the ticket numbers for the people that left. Lo and behold someone who came in after, picked up a ticket number left behind and was all of a sudden ahead in the queue. Shambles. Hint, look around for discarded ticket numbers to skip ahead in the queue.

Useless brunch that I have ever seen. I had been there 2-3 times with some local transfer issues. When I ask from them that to check my transaction history they said that they cannot check I have to call customer service. So if they cannot solve the problem what they are doing there I don't know.

By far the worst customer service ever! Went in for the same issue like 4 different days always finding the same person who is not willing to help, is more on his phone than customer service and he ended up kicking me out and raising his voice at me when I expressed my disappointment in the bank. I think they get paid for every new customer for he kept telling me to call the agent who signed me up.if you want to open an account please don't even consider this bank!

Never really had a problem with this branch. Staff were very attentive and helpful to my general queries (Side note: Do not come here for full fledged services because it is a limited branch. The services provided are plastered outside). The only proper downside is the lack of full functionality with the ATM machines, where sometimes depositing or withdrawing won't be available.

Atms sitting next service advisors who dont want to be bothered by them. A nice maybe unintended customer service disaster recipe.
"Me: The machine is not taking 100's.
Service Advisor: But no one has complained since morning! (that's a new one)
Me: What do i do?
Advisor: Try the other machine.
Me: I have tried it already.
Adviso: Break the note into smaller denominations and try.
Me: Do you have change?
Me at the same time thinking (but this machine refuses to take 20's and even 10's once upon a time)
Advis: No (i Thank God for that)
Me: Do you have a 100?
Advi: don't have. (why did i even ask)
Moral of the story: Gentlemen that happens when you don't put teller services.
HSBC: ya! We dont have teller services.duh!
But the staff is still hsbc? The atms are hsbc?
so?
so you should take some responsibility. Maybe even conjure some better excuses? E.g Advisor: Sir my hands are tied. (goes on and shows you his tied hands)

By far the worst custmer service. They have blocked my card and account numerous times due to the fact that some lazy dyslexic teller wasn't able to update my visa details correctly. After going there numerous times to confirm that they had all the details, 3 months later they confirmed that the passport copy wasn't updated correctly. The highlight though was when they couldn't even tell me why my cards were blocked. Absolutely useless. I have an overseas account with hsbc and the customer service there has been amazing, world's apart from the UAE standard. The customer service here leaves much to be desired. Im closing my accounts because it's just not worth the hassle.

Even-though there were number of negative comments, they resolved my banking issue and deal done. They well explained the discrepancy and dealt it in a fair manner. Wondering how the cases went wrong those whoever reviewed (majority) here. Seems the services improved much & very convenient location too!

Yesterday, before I go there, checked the reviews for this place and mostly was bad. ️
So my expectations was a bit lower, I thought they will not solve my issue but I was wrong infact.they helped me alot with the issue. So. I'm happy by their service that they provided me & special thanks to that man who assist me so well.

3 receptions in the office the lady on the phone call from past 30 minutes the dude on counter 2 said he can’t help in the situation and third person walked out for whatever reason like is there a time concept or respect for others time. And the same situation with the help line they are ridiculous.

Moved to HSBC from Emirates NBD and had nothing but problems.
Was promised the world and received a nothing of the sort.
Unhappy with all HSBC processes and only had one positive experience in numerous communications.
They sign you up, then drop you and deliver very little.

I know there aren't many good reviews about the customer service, so I just want to say that there is hope - I went to HSBC MoE because my card was stuck and I couldn't withdraw money. They fixed it and I was relieved. It's a really tiny office but I didn't wait for long and they actually solved my issue.

Branch availability and open times are non existent.

This is actually the first time I've actually taken the time to review a company in my life based on how putrid my experience has been with them.

They launder money in South America, and Eastern Europe, freeze Hong Kong accounts furthermore theu are in financial turmoil and "restructuring" for a reason.

They conduct corporate gangsterism under the guise of banking and abuse the laws in their jurisdictions.

One of the worst customer services.
Big delay on my account downgrading process, charges me extra fees without valid reason.

Waited 1h30mins to get service on another occasion.
No seating spaces for customers to even wait.
Just disappointments after disappointments!

Chasing them to deposit my cheque, wrong information given by customer care that they have cheque deposit machine in ibn-e-batuta, went to mall of emirates and their machine was not working. Totally dissatisfied with their services.

Only downside is there is no cash service at counter to withdraw money more than ur ATM limit!

I noticed the bank has cash withdrawal dispute form but no cash deposit dispute form. This tells you the bank is running two centuries behind when ATMs did not have deposit option. Most of their ATM machines do not work most of the time. It is interesting also to see the extremely low customer satisfaction.

No withdrawal in any of their mall branches. Jumeirah is an option if you want withdrawal or teller services. But you need either own vehicle or taxi to reach there or else they have branch in bur dubai

I can’t believe people who give 1 star to this bank, have you tried other banks in dubai?
My experience is always great in hsbc, no waiting time, serving with a smile and they are very fast. Some atm machines are not working for deposit (like marina mall) but they have got another one on different floor. It is 5 star bank compared to other banks in dubai.

Cheque deposit machine is not working. Customer service executive directed me to visit TECOM. After reaching TECOM, found out the machine at TECOM is also not working. After wasting my time and petrol, with frustration, called up the customer care to find out if any cheque deposit machine nearby is in working condition. Customer care guy had no clue and kept me on HOLD for more than 10 minutes until I hung up. Called up customer care again to get the contact number of the nearest branches so that I can call them directly and check if their machine is working. However the customer care guy could neither connect me to any branch nor provide the contact details. Kudos HSBC! Impressive banking service indeed!
