Wandering through the Mall of the Emirates I happened to come across this bakery. The cakes looked great and I wanted to taste the carrot cake. The price was also tempting, 21 dirhams for a piece of cake (extremely cheap for desserts in Dubai). The cake was very tasty, soft and moist and I ate it all.

It is the best bakery ever I went with my brother and I tried the chocolate cake it was delicious it was so delicious I bought 2 cakes

Came to the mall looking for cake, and saw Hummingbird as soon as we walked in, and thought we'd give it a try.

It was a good decision, Rutchi was very attentive in serving us cake and tea. The cakes were delicious and the tea 'sparkling'.

Would defo come again.

Worst Experience ever. Chasing for the order since morning but every time the answer was your order is on the way! Its been 3 hours since I got the update but still the order was delivered.

The Red velvet cake for its hype is nothing. I had hige expectations. The red velvet sponge was very dry and the spongevwas too hard and was slightoy frozen. The Creamcheese frosting was too sweet with enormous amount of Sugar. Too heavy & Sweet Icing with a dry sponge. I should say its nothing for the hype.

I am a big fan of chocolate cakes.i was extremely disappointed when i ordered this.the bread was so dry and not the usual moist and soft.the texture was terrible.i was so excited to try this but now i am very disappointed.take not it came from a cake shop! We ordered last night and I must say that the level of the Customer Service is beyond expected. You can easily order on the website via ChatFood and they will update you regarding your order from time to time. The cake itself is delicious and not too sweet (we ordered Red Velvet) Delivery guy Amit Thapa is very polite. Kudos to your team Hummingbird, ChatFood and Amit Thapa. Expect that we will order more.

If you are looking for a place with cakes which are rich in flavour hummingbird won’t disappoint you, Consistant quality and flavor delivered over several years.

I have had rainbow cake, cupcake and a carrot cake slice. And i must say it was by far one of the worst cakes i had. Over priced, small, tasteless cakes. I was so shocked the carrot cake had literally no taste expect the frosting which was very sweet. Super disappointing

The service level has dropped, not the same as when you had Philippine staff.

So. I’m a baker.if I’m craving cakes and I wanna treat myself, Hummingbird is my go to! I don’t usually waste money on cakes as I make them the way I like myself.the only place that make cakes that I like is HB bakery! I had the red velvet and the rainbow cake was very nice but it was still a bit chilly when I had it so it wasn’t as moist and soft which I thought was a bit disappointing but I should have just waited until I get home to have it instead of having it at the cafe!
The ordering and WhatsApp service r awesome! Customer service and assurance is above 5 star!
I wish they did Fazaa discount or the entertainer or smthg.

Honestly one of the worst cakes I have had.we ordered a red velvet cake for my birthday and the cream was tooo sweet you could literally bite/feel the sugar. And the price was so expensive. I WOULD not recommend.

I was there yesterday to get a cake with my friends and one of the Philippino female staff was Very rude, bad attitude and was unprofessional and ill manned

First time to try their variety of cupcakes. Sponge is dry on texture. The icing/frosting is a bit overwhelming (too sweet). The ambiance and variety along with the set up is amazing just sadden that the taste doesn’t justify the overall theme. Hope you can improve onto this point.

The worst bakery ever the cube cake was dry and seems to be stored from yesterday and for the drink was like no tast.

Today we managed to be in Mall of the Emirates and we passed by our lovely shop Hummingbird.the Redvelvet cake is still one of the tastiest cakes and Oohhh.now they are using Lavazzaa coffee. Simply amazing.

There is always a good reason to come back here. Wide selection of cakes for special events or gifts for your loved ones or a quick treat for yourself, hummingbird is the best. Amazing staffs, especially Mercy who will advise you the best for the occasion.

Mabel got me a carrot cake from here and it was delicious and mouthwatering. I enjoyed every bite. If you haven’t visited the Hummingbird Bakery, I suggest you do. Thank you May for the cake. When next i am in Dubai, I will be on site.

Red velvet cake from Hummingbird bakery is one of the cakes i like from this shop. The also have the carrot cake which tast good as well. Goes well with coffee for an afternoon snack.

If you havent been there, good enough dont even think of the same. You been saved from a bad coffee and horrible cake slice. The coffee is way too average snd not even heated properly. The worst part is the vanilla cup cakes which was topped with pure sugar loaded cream (typical icing sugar which you can never eat). Both my kids, a die hard fans of cup cakes rejected on the first bite and we were suprised as they forced us to go there after seeing (visually pleasing cup cakes). Strangely enough they have the audacity to charge 21 bucks/piece for that quality. The second biggest disappointment was carrot cake that was pathetic to the core and I can guarantee that it was the worst carrot cake we had in Dubai in the last 4 years. Me and my wife both are a big fan of carrotcakes btw. The third (last for now) waa the staff. I sat, I ordered and before they handed the bill right with the coffee. I made the payment while sipping our coffee and while I'm stepping out with, the other staff is running after me that I didnt pay.seriously.never felt so humiliated.with so many onlookers staring at me. NEVER EVER GETTING INTO THIS CAFE

Good pastries. The sponge is Amazing. The frostings are a little too sweet for my taste though.

I tried the Cappuccino & pistachio loaf Bread. The coffee is fine but the loaf slice was dry & the taste was not that sweet. The seating area is comfortable. The menu needs improvement

Having colourful only in menu but have only wht they have so we are forced to eat wht they send.

I wish to give five star but unfortunately the lady waitress I have to wait so long and she confused my order even there were sitting aorund 5 people. Coffee was okay as I asked to make it extra hot then it was fine

Located in the Mall of Emirates. Option for cupcakes, cakes and baked goods. My son loves the rainbow chocolate cake!

The cake itself is good but I cannot say the same for the operations.

We initially ordered the Rainbow Piñata cake. It was so visually pleasing we have not seen another bakery make this. We have seen the advertisement on Instagram / TikTok. Kudos for the marketing genius!

However, we were immediately notified that it was not available. We were fine with that at first. Then we ordered something similar without the ‘piñata’ feature but with rainbow layers and chocolate frosting. However, again, it was not available so we ordered another product for a lower price point.

Upon receiving the order, we were still charged with the price of our first order when it should have been less. I believe there was a miscommunication from the operations to the driver’s end. The customer service extended their apologies to us. It was understandable because these things happen. BUT we are not happy with the compensation. We were asked to choose products from one of their menu to compensate the excess amount. How can you find products that are worth the excess amount? Their prices are a bit high but it is understandable because of what the brand and the products impose.

The amount was little but given the economy these days, you will realize your own money’s worth EVERY PENNY OF IT lol. It is our right to maximize the money BECAUSE IT IS OUR MONEY lol. It was just sad that there’s not enough compensation for the unsatisfactory service from the beginning till the end. We just wanted to celebrate our cousin’s birthday lol but even after receiving the order we are still riddled with problems. I think the first part of our experience was an omen to what had happened. Until now, we are still awaiting for the refund.

This is not meant to purposely give a bad review. We just had a not so pleasant experience but we still want the business to improve and to thrive because at the end of the day, we are also just trying to help and support each other during these harsh times.

First time in humming bird bakery and I like the ambience and the staff are approachable especially juliet

Chocolate cakes was nice.chocolate drink have a little weird taste, price normal, cashier women wasn't much friendly serving, have better options in the mall

This is an absolute pleasure for all those with a sweet tooth! The deserts and the cakes are super amazing! The service was gr8t. Joy was helpful and was around when you needed her not like some waiters and waitresses in other restaurants who act like they’re super busy! Keep up the good work Joy

Been to this place first time last week. And we liked the interior, ambiance and our seats were comfortable. But the variety of choices were very poor. They don’t have most popular cakes which are in high demands. Such as cheesecake or chocolate lava cake.so we ordered carrot cake and chocolate cake with cappuccino and hot chocolate. Drinks was good but cakes did not have taste at all we felt just sugar only. Overall location is good, staff is also welcoming

Ordered thier Rainbow cake.worst cake i ever had in my life. Nothing but batter and sugar.no flavor no nothing. I love cakes and i am sure never to step in this shop ever again. Seriously.u guys must try cakes from @mrbaker and other cake shops in uae.to know what cakes actually take like.

It's my first time visited your store. The place is so fancy and staffs are very friendly and beautiful. Since I'm a chocolate lover, i tried the mile high cake and I really like it when you pair it with americano.

A friend of mine asked me to pick up a cake from this place on our way to a party.
I walked into the cafe at the Mall of the Emirates and man oh man! Was I in for a surprise! So many kinds of cupcakes, cake slices, decorated cakes.
So I was confused as on which cake to get so decided to get the 8" Chocolate Cake which is a safe bet any day!
8 inches cake is good enough for 10-12 people.
The cake was super moist and tasted super yumm.
I liked seeing many of their decorated cakes on display and it looked really good- the quote for them seemed a bit high compared to other cake shops but I'm sure it will taste nice.
Will definitely go there again to get cake in future.

This was my first try, I tried one of the best seller; Red Velvet Cake
staff was friendly; packaging was fine; taste wise, I think it’s too sweet that I lost the taste of red velvet. But it was soft cake and balanced filling
Overall ok and not bad, but there’s better red velvet cakes.

Not like before staff should not using phone in duty you ask to pay and the lady bussy with his mobile no intention for costumer.

It’s an okay bakery, the only problem is everything is over sugared. You miss the flavor of the baked goods due to the amount of sugar in them.

I like the place.dispute other negative reviews, I like the place very much and I use to work on my emails from there when I'm close to MOE, I like their Earl Grey tea and the brownies, as a fan of espresso I like it but can't say a lot about other hot drinkers.
Staff is friendly and they do their best, but the place in not big enough for groups and the power source locations are not enough.

A place that I have to go daily when in Dubai lovely Carrot, Cinnamon, chocolate, lemon cake actually each and every cake is better than the other

Best tasting cakes in Dubai. For birthdays we always decorate them ourselves as we’ve heard the in-house service isn’t quite so good as the cakes themselves.

Staff are always very friendly, the variety of teas is excellent and the cakes are delicious. Lemon drizzle cake is my preferred option. The cups are small but they have no problems with topping you up with hot water.

I’m not really sure why so many people have 5-stars. The place looks super fancy on the outside but it’s pretty basic cake and nothing wow. Have had much better at smaller less known places than here. I would give the red velvet cake a 4 though, but the chocolate cake was definitely a 2, hence the rating average. If really craving a good cake, go elsewhere.

Hummingbird bakery has been my favorite since my London days and frequent visitor to their South Kenginston cafe. Love their Red velvet with cappuccino. Saw new cake in form of Rainbow cake. Best selections of cupcakes and great taste. It has ample place to sit and view of busy crowd.
