I liked this place it had a relaxed happy vibe. The Black Cod is so soft and sweet the best I've ever had in Dubai. I liked all the food and the fountain show every 30 minutes with music pumping keeps everyone entertained.
So yesterday was our anniversary, and my husband made a reservation at a restaurant. He specifically mentioned that it was a special occasion because our first pregnancy and it's our anniversary. They agreed to give us a good place with the best view. However, when we called for directions the reservation she didn't even know we are exactly located and which entrance we need to take, and they mentioned a valley as i cant walk for far, but when we arrived, there was no valley and we had to walk a lot, which was difficult for me. The place they gave us was very disappointing, and when we asked to speak to the owner, the receptionist was rude and refused to call him. We asked for the manager, Cyril, who was even ruder to my husband. She told him, "You are getting on my nerves. " We ended up leaving the restaurant, we missed our special day, and I had to request a wheelchair because the parking was far from the cafe. The service was so poor that I can't recommend it to anyone
Very overpriced for what is offered. Veg options were pitiful. Dim sum steamed with meat options, spoke to the supervisor at length about how poor the options are for vegetarian hopefully they address this. Wouldn't serve us a drink at 2 minutes to the hour of the package starting but last orders are 30 mins before the end so you leave early.
Didn’t have many dishes available (even edamame that the waiter offered us) Waiter was obviously annoyed when we weren’t ready to order when he came over. Didn’t have enough change to give us once we paid the bill.
You'll probably come here for the view and that is great. With a pretty good view on the fountain show. They have good menu with on paper some great dishes, but not all dishes work and the portions are small. So you need to order multiple dishes and you will end up paying a lot and leave just a little less hungry.
We came last minute without a booking a lovely lady called Lavender sat us at a great table and we were served by Ken who was great with recommendations and knew alot about what to eat and drink which helped a lot and it was all spot on! Drinks and food were amazing and the view was perfect too. It was our anniversary and they made it so special for us I will definitely be back when I return to Dubai. Thank you! X
Nice ambience. Accommodating and warm welcoming staffs starting from host to servers. Sylvester our waiter did an excellent job. Good suggestion for food & drinks, very attentive & make sure that everything was ok. Definitely will come back.
We had an amazing night. Food and drinks were great. Customer service was the best. They have a lovely terrace overlooking Burj Khalifa and the fountain show. I really recommend this place. Everything was outstanding. We will definitely be back
Food didn't come on time, the main came without any sides, and the side came after people had eaten and finished. The F&B service team was rubbish, didn't get their act together. They were more interested in saving pennies by not bringing drinks or food quickly.
Not the place to go for a good time any more! Over priced for the service and food! Not at all value for money! No sense of hospitality!
Nice atmosphere, try their couple special offer for 290 AED for unlimited sushi with a bottle of wine. The food is good but limited options available. The presentation and variety could be enhanced!
Really good service and lovely flavour of the food in every dish. Went with friends nice view outside. As a tourist nice spot to go to if you enjoy oriental cuisine.
Awesome Saturday Brunch experience; We went on lunch date as it was my husbands bday and It was perfect decision to go there. Super delicious food with great variety, extremely courteous staff especially kyaw who made us feel super comfortable and friendly. Definitely this would be my go to place and I will recommend it to all friends and family.
Thank you karma staff for making our day even more special!
By far one of the best quality food brunches in Dubai. Superb and therefore is our third time taking friends. Everytime it is a pleasure as the food is simply too good. And it's great value for money if you have Entertainer, even if you don't, it is worth the money.
Ristorante molto bello e accogliente con una terrazza davanti al Burj Khalifa, personale professionale e cibo eccellente.consigliato Very nice and cozy restaurant with a terrace facing the Burj Khalifa, professional staff and excellent food.recommended
Restorant itself is fine dining but staff it’s need to reach that level, food it’s not bad but it’s not worth. They mention in menu vagyu beef, they brought mince beef but far from vagyu beef. Make more profit they add over additional ingredients Into vagyu beef so there will not be taste of meat but there will be high profit for short time. When I ask waiter it’s a wagyu beef he said with bossy way %100 percent it is. Than when we order drinks you need to repeat two three time to get your drink. Need really manager to guide there and ask guest how was the experience. So normally I don’t make bad comment easy in Restorant but honestly I didn’t like and will come back again. I don’t think so!
The service was very good and we enjoyed the tasting st menu but we were disappointed that it was only a partial view of the fountain and light show. We also found it to be over priced.
I highly recommend this place, beautiful seating with great service, special thank you to Mr. KYAW who looked after us, very professional and friendly, the best combination to make you come back
Made a phone reservation on the 25/10/21 confirming a table for the next day outside at 8 for 4 with a view. Unfortunately the next day 26/10/21 I received a call informing that there is only a table for 4 in the smoking area available at 9: 30.made no attempt to explain the miscommunication or no attempt to compromise. Shame
Location with fountain views, food quality (no for vegetarians) and ambience all give Karma Kafé some serious promise. Whilst the wait staff are good this establishment really dissapoints clients with their customer service from management / booking team.
Despite spending weeks agreeing on a booking that satisfied both DUBAI municipality social distancing and entertainer discount rules the Karma Kafé management will happy manipulate table size and availability so that you cannot avail of the rightful discount. Management will spend a long time arguing with customers often causing a scene and disturbing other clients whilst giving little regard to customers or prior agreements made with the booking (we had weeks of WhatsApp communication regarding price and rules).
When speaking with management the following response was given to us many times. Customer: "How can you go back on our agreement and prior communication, aren't you worried customers will give you a bad review? " Manager: "We don't care, people will come regardless"
Karma Kafé really has a lot of promise here but needs a serious overall in management strategy, booking procedures and customer service training to make this establishment what it could be.
The restaurant offers a decent cocktail list and the sushi platter we ordered was decent, but the atmosphere (very dark, loud music, loud fans) along with a less than desirable set up for its terrace, pretty awful udon and Szechuan beef (so bad we did not touch it after the first couple of bites), expensive prices and barely welcoming staff, made this a far below par experience. I would not recommend the address to any gourmet or well traveled individuals. This place needs help.
From a tourist perspective, the location and decor of the establishment was nice. Second floor and next to the Burj Khalifa water fountain. There were other restaurants that had better views and more open. The Karma Kafe lacked a bit of lighting and the food was not so great. For what I spent, I expected the dish to be magnificent and it was not there. I didn't enjoy spending so much for a dish I could have gotten better and cheaper meal at say P. F. Chang's.
The food was fine. Nothing spectacular considering the price of their Friday night package. In addition, their manger has terrible customer service and was not helpful. There are better options within the Souk Al Bahar.
How can I give this place a star.horrible food and management were so rude. Skip this place don’t even bother as it’s near the Dubai mall so many amazing places nearby. Run forest run!
We have visited this place on two occasions, once for Friday brunch and another for Thursday evening brunch. To be honest, both times were disappointing. The service is slow and the staff were oddly patronising. The food was better for the first visit, but not so good on the return. Disappointingly, the second visit was a birthday and despite speaking with 2 members prior to arrival to arrange a birthday celebration, they didn’t even mention it. I wouldn’t return again.
The food is good for what actually made it to our table. The restaurant has such a great vibe to it however the service was unbelievably bad. We were not served all our dishes to the table, drinks were watered down and service was just very slow. I would go back because of the vibe and the views but not for what I actually pay for.
Extremely let down by the Friday Night set menu offer.
Food overall is nice. But for the amount spent (500 aed), it is shocking that they don’t allow to have a second round of any of the starter. (Consider that we have been server 2 dumplings each).
The place is really great, the atmosphere, music, service. All up to the top standards and expectations. I often go to this place for ladies night, for sushi Sundays. The best sushi in town I can say. My best one is Philadelphia rolls: never tasted better than in Karma. The service is great, all employees are so attentive and friendly. No wonder it's so popular. I want to highlight exclusive service from Smey, her assistance in every booking, email or request. She is amazing and do professional. She assisted me many times in my queries, my bookings, my requests, helped to resolve 1 issue very fast and efficient.thank you for your great assistance Smey Really, highly recommended place for great evening and great time.
Price is not according to the quality. Don’t take it to much personal, in Dubai it’s quite common that as much you pay less quality you find. My only stars are for the views and good imported beer
Great appetizers. Make reservations ahead of time for a seating outside on the balcony. You can see the fountain show! Appetizers were delicious but main course was okay. Servers were very kind, a little slow service, but not bad.
This place is wonderful as I was here for my first time but not last at all. The best view for fountains and Dubai mall. And the staff was so lovely, I wish I could remember the waiter name as he was best out of the best. Vibes were so chill, place so peaceful and when it comes to food 1000/10! This pan Asian restaurant has no competitor.
Ambience: Such a vibrant, cool interior. Great music, nice lighting, spacious which allows privacy, comfortable furniture. Superb ambience full of positive vibes. ️️️️️️️️️
Food: Just perfect! Every single dish was a work of art. Taste was splendid, presentation was right to the point, the ingredients were super fresh. There was such a beautiful harmony between how the food looked, how it smelled and how it tasted! It was perfect ️️️️️️️️️
Service: One of the best services I have ever experienced in Dubai! It was 100% customer centric approach. They were super flexible and helpful. Very polite staff, super helpful and very knowledgeable about the menu. The way we were served made a huge positive impact on the quality of the night we had. Can’t thank the staff enough for being so great. ️️️️️️️️️
Overall: I had one of the best nights out and it was a combination of great music, great food and super kind humans making sure we have a great time in that restaurant! So it is a must try
I felt so unwelcome from the staffs especially the blond girl with short hair (very unfriendly) from the front who bought us to the table. Feel like they don’t welcome tourists only if you dress up
Friday Brunch is a decent deal. In fact, I'd probably go back. But I'm confused. The place is clearly the same ownership as Asia Asia down at Pier 7. The location is superb. The venue is reasonably well decorated and maintained. BUT somehow, the stunning wow-factor present with Asia Asia is missing here. Maybe it was the abundance of smokers hanging out on the veranda where I enjoyed brunch and the lack of a non-smoking area? Maybe it is the fact that the all-you-can-eat brunch is limited to one main course entree? Or maybe I have just become too hard to impress? Really can't say. I'd likely return, but if given the choice, I'd take a guest to Asia Asia over this one any day.
We really enjoyed the salmon tartar. The sushi rolls were great - apart from the crab shell in one of them. The star of the meal for me was the tempura and peanut prawns. A unique and tongue tingling taste sensation. The steak was good quality and well cooked. The creme brulé was well set but I struggle with lemongrass as a dessert flavour. Service was very good. The music was a really good blend of different ambient styles - but way too loud in the bar.
New Year's food was horrible and tastes weird on some of the food courses. I highly wouldn't reccomend this restaurant. They took so long to serve the food. It was super expensive and not worth it at all. Go to another restaurant. This restaurant is a complete joke and really unorganized.
Amazing spot at the foot of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountains. In the winter the terrrsce has unbeatable views - in the summer stay inside. Late night brunches on Thursdays and Fridays - ladies night is on Tuesdays!
Staff very pushy I wanted to sit inside but the others wanted to sit outside so they lady working there got angry and told us to sit inside if you have self care you would not go here.
I was with friends so this was good. Music was good and we had canapés, sushi, smoked meats, salmon, salads and assorted drinks. I even got to dance. Staff are friendly quick and timely. Will definitely return.
I often go to Dubaï, this place is special and the experience unique. Effectively the view on the fountains show and the Burj Khalifa is incredible! You are right in front of the Apple Center. No better place possible! About the menu I'd say it's expensive as the price is about the place and the ambiance. Also the food quality is great so don't be scared. I judge the restaurant is not rated 5* as the wait time is inappropriate
Food is below average and the decor is old. Went here to get a view of burj and fountains. There isn't a clear view- it's best to see view from ground level.
Great food and ask for a selection of dishes to maximize the experience. Enjoy the best views outside on the terrace. More cozy drinks inside are ideal for couples. Space at the bar for solo diners/drinks
Very bad experience. Sick after eating the most expensive of their dishes at the base of fish (we can say poison). My husband and my uncle ordered the Black Code. The taste seemed strange and the texture even hard and stringy. We notified this to the waitress, she said it was the new recipe, but she will still deliver our message to the chef. We have paid dearly for this fish in every sense of this word. My husband and uncle had a stomach ache, vomiting, in short, sleepless night, knowing that they are not allergic to any food. The next day we called the restaurent to report what happened and ask to pay more attention to the fish storage conditions. First, the manager refused to give his last name, asking why you need my last name? We got just his first name - Paul. Where is a professionalism? After he immediately declined all the responsibility of the restaurant advising to go see the doctor. Very abrupt, non-respectful, any excuses. That's nice dinner.
We celebrated New Year’s Eve last year here. Definitely the best choice, as we got free bar and a 5.course menu, and I got a delicious vegetarian menu. The food was soooo good. Karma Kafé is a Pan-Asian restaurant located on the 3rd floor in Souk al Bahar; which means you get a balcony view of Burj Khalifa and the Fountains. Definitely the best place to celebrate NYE! We could easily enter the Ground floor to get a full view of Burj Khalifa during the show. Unforgettable!
