Even 1 star is not match for these guys, it's from bottom of my heart.
I had order a food they had took almost 2 hours to know that the order is not yet packed.
We were keep trying to call no response and they were telling your order its coming 5 minutes 10 minutes bla bla.

We celebrated our son's first birthday party in kayal star. Food is really good and the staff were really helpful. Special mention to the chicken biriyani and mutton kurma

Went to the restaurant on Eid hoping to have a good biryani based on a an online review. I ordered the biryani combo with alisa and muttamaala. The mutton biryani disappointed me with lack of flavour and cohesive rice. My friend who ordered beef biryani had a relatively better experience but still nothing to brag about. The alisa was also bland leaving me unable to finish it. The muttamaala however did satisfy me and I would say they have done a good job at that. Going again only if I hear good reviews about the place.

One of the oldest Thalassery biryani spot that we all got to try and brush our food spots. The leghorn biryani here is too good

Snacks are very bad i bought 76 snacks for my ifthar.i can't eat any of them.very bad

Me and our family friends was visited last week late night we confirmed food availability before reaching, but to be honest food was really below average and price they charged very high, i dont think any of the kerala restaurant is charging a fish 50aed in dubai. I informed restaurant manager but they still not back to me.

Very bad experience. For there iftar buffet not providing any drinks and only few food are there. And two item are tastier. All curries are very bad.

Tried the biryani and avil milk. Briyani was nice had that malabar wedding touch and avil milk had a but of extra banana

Food is exceptional. But the ampience they made are very poor like an old house that built with coconut leaves and very much remind us like traditional Kerala homes. That feels very nostalgic and they made it all the smoke and other cooking gases are really coming to our dining area and we felt very nostalgic and have the food with family as like our home. That feel was fantastic. And my suggestion is if they can avoid the dining tables and chairs and we can sit in a bare floor and instead of ceramic plates they can serve in a steel or mud plates with some leaf cutlery

Very bad experience with the restaurant. They tell you fresh fish and serve frozen and worst service

As a resident of kerala i truly missed homemade food. Kayal has definitely brought my memories of home back.

It was such a horrible experience today I was a fan of your. Beef thatukada chilly dry fry, but from today's experience I will never repeat it anymore at least change your oil once in a while we informed oil is not good to the waiter and guy in the cash counter we got such a cold attitude they took it inside and brought it back more badly you can charge 20 aed for a portion but make sure it is good

One of the best Kannur/Thalassery biriyani in Dubai. Typical nostalgic Homely stuff. I had tried malabari biriyanis from most of the Karama based restaurants. However this one stands out. Hats off to the chef.

I went for the buffet and it was not upto the expectation. Some of the items were good but not all. Staffs are good

Went for breakfast there, porotta was good, egg roast was not upto the mark. Coffee was very gd. Ghee roast also was gd. Ambience alright. Neatness and cleanliness adequate

Worst service, I ordered and reserved onam sadya meal at 10: 30 am and they promised to deliver it by 12: 30 pm and when I called them they are not receiving the call or did they deliver the meal, such a bad service and unethical behavior

Went to have their lunch buffet. It was good and worth the price. Lunch buffet available from sat to thu for 20dhs.do try it

I would never send any one to this hotel. Because of the bad hospitality and the below average food.

Just a Kerala restaurant, which provides what we expect. Nothing to stand out. Not expensive and you get what you pay for.

More quantity of rice and curry needs to be served in normal uuna. But hospitable staff and clean restaurant.

Odered combo, food was ok but very cold.
Worst part they dont mind after taking order.
Cold chivken fry was served afyer we almost finished our main course.

One good option in Qusais for meals. Meal was available even at 3.30 PM today. Worth the money

Food is good like homely taste, More attention required for cleaning wash room and hand wash sink area which is look unhygienic also smelly.

Try their weekend buffets - lunch is awesome
Staffs are friendly. Reasonable prices.finding parking would be hard so park before exit and walk. PAYIT accepted

Had been here for lunch. Their Chatti Choru with Fish curry and Fish Fry is amazing. They satiated my Tummy and Mind. Recommended.

Good place for authentic Malabar food.specialized in thalassery, kannur, calicut Receipes. Variety of Thattukada dishes. Chutti curry, porotta, dosa, neyi pathiri etc. Kids love the chicken thatukadda fry.and adults would love beef varattiyuthu

Recommend to try chicken (lagon) dum biriyani. More than this daily lunch buffet with good variety of food available for 15 Aed.

Mutton Biriyani is good. But fish biriyani is not up to the standard. Even the chicken side dish not good

It was very nice experience to visit Kayal Star Restaurant in Al Qusais. Calm and cool atmosphere, The food was absolutely wonderful. I almost love everything about this restaurant. Very good customer service and good variety of foods in both Veg and Non Veg. We enjoyed very well.

They provide the best biriyani in town. Mutton biriyani is the best my all time favourate. I dont know how many times I visited this place.also they had a wonderful buffet for this Iftar. Thank you team Kayal.keep up the good work.

Takes too much time for food to get delivered. Aslo fish dishes are priced high, and not that good

The inside ambience is very dreary. Could improve on the lighting. They have a family seating area on top but the steps are very high and narrow. The AC in the family seating area was also broken. Tried their chicken and beef fry and it was very spicy. The waiters were welcoming and friendly.

Very bad taste, today i visited and embarised in front of my family member. Worst motton soup in life, tasted little vegetarian items like katai paneer very bad, pl don't do this mistake.

It's ok.we tried kalyana biriyani.it was fine.but Masala is salty.mutta maala given with biriyani is little cold.overall its fine. Friday is too busy after prayer.u have to wait 15.20 mins.parking front side is hectic.but backside kacha parking is available.
