Our 5 y.o. Daughter attended speech and language development individual sessions with KidsFIRST therapist. She liked her “another teacher” very much, and was happy to attend the lessons, so I guess the pace and load of the sessions was managed appropriately. In few months her speech and vocabulary improved drastically, good job!

Worst experience ever. Lack of communication from the therapist. Each week been told that we’d be seen soon and three months had passed and still no assessment and no communication of when it could possibly be! My son was supposed to be seen in school in conjunction with KidsFirst and since the therapist had poor communication (not replying to my or the class teachers email) I went on to contact the head of inclusion, who also failed to reply my email.
Having finally spoken to someone at a senior level they went on to blame the school and took zero responsibility!
Been waiting around since Feb, 3 and a half months down the line, zero progress! If I could give 0 stars I would have! Avoid at all costs!

Heba is amazing, she listens to concerns and also takes the lead! She is excellent with little kids, my shy toddler warmed up to her clear and calm voice. She always calls back and gives at home tricks to continue with speech assistance. She is friendly, on time and takes her time with your child. Highly recommend

We appreciated that our son’s speech therapy was under the care of a highly experienced therapist both within the profession and in Dubai. Being able to have his sessions take place within the school setting and therefore with minimal disruption to his day, was a real advantage. It also meant that continuous assessment could occur within the classroom when needed. There was regular feedback to us as parents as well as the classroom teacher. This resulted in his progress in speech being more holistic and was not just being left to the time spent with the therapist. He really enjoyed going to the sessions and we were so happy with his development. As an added benefit, any unused sessions was
refunded. Thank you kidsFIRST!

I worked with KidsFIRST as a school counselor and partnered with them to provide services to many students in Abu Dhabi. They helped provide Assessments and often could complete them quickly and without a long wait list. The Assessments were thorough and they were always willing to meet with the school and the parents to discuss the reports. They often would come and do an observation at school and then meet with the child 2 times. This was great as they got to see strengths and concerns first hand, but then they also were willing to not pressure the child to complete the assessment in one sitting. They also partnered with us to provide Speech and Occupational Therapy. This allowed constant communication with home and school, which meant best care for the child and that strategies were being implemented at home and school.
They also put on regular workshops for counselors, learning support specialist, parents, and teachers which help provide up to date professional development in the UAE. They are a wonderful center that communicate open and honestly. I always felt I could provide feedback and that we were all working towards support the child and meeting their needs to be successful at school, home, and in life. I saw many students make progress when working with their amazing staff, if the student was diagnosed with Autism, Dyslexia, Select Mutism, Sensory concerns, or etc. They have some of the highest trained staff in the UAE that are always open for a conversation, supporting schools and specialist, and putting the child first.
