Kung Korean Restaurant & Karaoke

First time to try this place and you will surely enjoy food and ambiance wise. Food is authentic Korean, that’s for sure. We ordered Korean rice cake, pork samgyup, pork karubi, black bean noodles, seafood noodles, pork sisig, beef bulgogi and all are delicious! We love the karaoke room and sang our hearts out for 2 hours. Will definitely come back:) Cheers!

This is a great hidden Korean gem ticked away in this hotel. The staff are excellent and the food is very good.

It seems to be very popular with resident Koreans which is always a good sign too.

Highly recommended for the food and service.

I didn't try the karaoke but the venue does have one. The atmosphere of the venue is only let down slightly because the establishment is sore dated.

Best karaoke in dubai! Lester and John are great employees and have taken really great care of us. The food and drinks are great as well!

Bad, hijabi girls are not allowed inside! Even though we are in an Islamic country people here should respect our culture and religion no matter what! As we do in their countries.

So you don’t allow Locals who wears the Emirati dress code to your karaoke? And your restaurant is based in the united arab emirates? FOR REAL?

I don’t know how you have a the audacity to not allow locals in their own country to not enter your restaurant but I hope you learn your lesson now and have some respect for locals.

Bad environment, not welcoming the people, the food is normal and expansive… I really don’t recommend this it was a bad experience first and last try

They’re RACIST to the UAE nationals, especially women saying we can’t wear our hijab inside. They don’t allow Emiratie women inside. We are in UAE, you should be respectful to its culture and religion

I don’t even know where to begin. The food was neither authentic nor fusion. Some dishes were closer in authentic taste but looked unusual. Other dishes looked authentic but tasted strangely foreign. We had to send back our order of kimchi pancakes as they looked raw and inedible. The waitress apologized and took the dish back. Then they try to pass some belt fish as mackerel! I don’t think the kitchen staff understands Korean cuisine. Very disappointing and strange experience. The owner or manager didn’t come by to apologize or comp any of the food although all their dishes are grossly overpriced. I do not recommend this restaurant.

5 star for food and 1 star for smoke all around. Had a bean paste soup with sliced pork which comes with the usual korean side dishes and rice. Love most of side dishes and the bean paste soup is really tasty. This place doesnt have a non-smoking area so this place is filled with smoke.shoudn't a rather upscale restaurant banned smoking indoors or have a separate section?

Had a beef paste soup again. Sooo good. Side dishes rock.

Lovigg the food every time. Delicious soups, bibimbap. I took my mom for lunch there and she said she had the best soup in her life. And my my eats a soup like everyday. Savouring every bite. And kimchi.yummmmmm

Absolutely love the food here. I used to live next to it, so I ate here frequently. Generally, I cook at home but on one occasion I was battling a cold, and I ordered some Ramyun to soothe my throat. I can't think of a better meal for a cold. Note, the portion sizes are huge, and you get a lot of side dishes as well. I'd recommend ordering one and finishing it, before trying to order another, as you cannot ask for a doggy bag/takeout (theirs is a pork kitchen, last I checked, definitely not halal friendly.)

I also came here for Karaoke with friends on one occasion, and with workmates on another occasion. The former was decidedly less restrained the latter, and the staff didn't seem to mind all the terrible yodelling we forced upon them or the other patrons. That alone deserves 5 stars.

To maximize the time for karaoke room, eat your food (if main course) at dining area (not inside the karaoke room)

What a fun place to be! It's always a good sign when customers are natives, the food was simply amazing and the service was quick and efficient, the staff member recommended the chicken gangjung which was so delicious and a just a bit crunchy with amazing souce and the Yukgaejang (beef stew) which was tasty and fulfilling, they give some nice appetizers which are included and introduces many tastes of Korean cuisine, we sat at a traditional floor seating area and used metal shopsticks but they have wooden ones if preferred and of course you can't have Korean food without their famous Soju, after enjoying this lovely and big portioned meal we moved to a karaoke room for a couple of hours and had an amazing time! I recommend this place for birthday parties (I once had a birthday party at their biggest room and it was a total success) and larg groups but they do have small intimate room where you still can scream your heart out singing your favourite songs.
Prices are very reasonable and it's worth it.
