Local House Restaurant

Fantastic food in a lovely calm setting. Food was delicious especially the mixed grill platter that was a great portion. Will be returning.

I tried the camel Byriani there and I have to say that I have rarely eaten something so intensely flavored with a variety of flavors. Just a dream. Cheap in comparison too. Service was top and the chef even came out after the meal and thanked us. The greeting from the kitchen was also a feast for the palate (mahammra) for me, it was oriental/Arabic as it should be
10/10 only recommended:)

Ambience is great. Salads were good but main course-meat tikka- was very disappointing, i was not able to complete the dish. I would not visit this place again.

Food was very tasty, we came here to try camel meat and we do not regret and we will come back. Steak was tasty and easy to eat, fahsa with bread was cool as well. Halloumi was not over grilled nor over flavoured and was good too. Luqaimat was sweet and better than any other we had previously in Dubai. Camel icecream had unique taste that is hard to compare to anything but it was really good. Service was good as well, great place overall.

Very delicious camel meat. Even my 3 years old child loved the soup. Would definitely come again next time we visit Dubai

The food is amazing. I almost never order chicken in the restaurant but I ordered the chicken here because my family already ordered camel steak and lamb. To my surprise, the chicken is so tasty and of course the camel steak is unbelievable tender and delicious. Same as the lamb. Every thing is so flavorful and it is the best Arabian meal I have ever had. The host is very friendly and the restaurant is beautiful with local decorations.

I had lunch with my husband and nephew. The kebabs were excellent as was the house bread. Service is friendly and attentive.

Definitely one of the best experiences I've had in Dubai so far. The venue is so authentic, with the painting on the walls and all the colorful decorations. I was uncertain to try the camel meat but I got so surprised. Not only was good, but one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Will come back every time I want to relax and stay away from skyscrapers and noise.

We first visited in March and were impressed with the excellent range of food authentic atmosphere and friendly staff.
We returned and had another great meal.
Highly recommend.

Their Emirati Breakfast was delicious and much better than their neighbor. This place is certainly underrated.

You go there because the side restaurant is full… then you ask for some food in the menu and nothing is available. I understand why the neighbor is full and this place is almost empty…

Camel dishes were very tasty especially the fadi.the liver was good.the camel steak was very expensive.so were the soft drinks. The place has free parking in a common area shared by several restaurants in the same area. It's too bad that no fresh bread was served to eat with the food.only packet pitta bread.served cold.

Located in the Al Seef area is this absolute gem. The restaurant was recommended to us by my parents who were here a couple of months earlier. The hummus was the best that we ever had and so was the Tabbouleh. The main dish we ordered was the Chicken Mandi, that was recommended to us by a gentleman by the name of Neville, and it was one of the best chicken dishes we have had. All in all one of those rare 10/10 restaurant experiences.

What a place and what a food. I found this is the best place to have fresh tasty delicious and hygienic food in dubai. Staff is very polite and nice. Love ola's service. Location is perfect after visiting historic village behind. Loved this place.

If you come to Dubai, please make sure to visit this place. It is the most local food you can get in a very nice looking restaurant (old house). I ordered camel steak and it was AWESOME! The gravy was incredible, it's a must try experience. Neville was very kind and delivered excellent service! Would definitely come back to this place when I return to Dubai! Thank ls for everything!

Arabian cuisine at finest. Experience the excellency middle east cuisine in cool and ambient restaurant. Their decoration was nice and on point. It suited the mood of their customer. If you walked in, it will immediately amazed by the decoration and wall art. For the food itself, there so many selection you can choose from with affordable and reasonable price. Highly recommended. Suitable for couple or family feast.

The cashier scammed me. Regardless of the quality of the food, that deserves a bad review. Not only that camel meat wasn’t my cup of tea.

I do not recommend. Had a very unprofessional and disappointing experience with this restaurant and its management.

Service is not the strongest aspect of this restaurant. We arrived around 4 pm, so there were only two other tables. Service was extremely slow, the salad arrived before the drinks. Twenty minutes after, the camel burger arrived. When we were full, after 45 minutes since we had ordered we called the waiter to cancel the fish since it never came. Then the waiter said the fish could not be canceled and for our surprise, when it arrived on the table, it was not hot. LOL. Nice place but a lot of room to improve in other areas.

We literally ended up here because the insta success next door was fully booked.
It turned out to be beautiful, serene and the food was excellent. The road less travelled.

Very very bad

By mistake we enter this restaurant and we was planning to went to the next restaurant Arabian tea house, so we just enter and order the breakfast from the Lebanese waiter, and we order one black coffee, the food and the coffee was delayed 45 minutes, after that they served us one plat of falafel with 3 pieces and one hallomi plat with 3 some slices and a regular bread not even hot and the coffee

Very unique game meat patties. LOVE them. I think I tried camel and zebra. This is the restaurant we want in our neighborhood and visit them whenever we want! Why don’t you open several branches in Asia? ! We’re sure you’ll be very popular in our area:)

A Hidden Gem, a restaurant with the charm of simple old days!
The restaurant has been renovated and now it looks so beautiful with all thr murals and decoration.

Most expensive Karak ever, definitely not looking for recurring customers, only for one time turists. Arabian Tea House nearby is much better.

VISITED THE LOCAL HOUSE YESTERDAY

I was rushing to the Arabian tea house with my friend and passed the local house.
The hostess called to my attention because I never knew there was another restuarant there except the tea house. I asked her if it's the Arabian tea house and she honestly replied "no, the next one". That honesty alone got my attention.
I went to the tea house, it was packed, and the line to get in was long. I returned to local house with my friend because of Rita's (hostess) honesty and welcoming smile.
She took her time to explain the menu for us. We had humus, and I tired the camel burger while my friend tried the mixed grill with French fries. The food was tasty. The staff are very friendly especially the waiter that attended to us (Summit).
The traditional drawings on the walls are welcoming too.
Managment needs to post up advertisements for tourists to know more about this fantastic place.

I will not recommend to go anybody in this cheater's restaurant: (, Today afternoon I visited this restaurant for lunch, First the service was so bad that I haven't experienced any bad before in my life and at last when I asked my bill and gave my credit card for payment, they said.they can't accept card payment due to out of service of merchant machine and unfortunately I had no cash.after I told them, I will not pay if they dont accept card payment.suddenly their machine start working! And the stupid manager said "Sir its working now!

These people are real CHEATERS.be aware.

I have been to local house restaurant several times but today is special because I visited with my family. I had my regular, ever smiling and favorite waitress from Nigeria serve me.we enjoyed the meal and the cool environment. Good place to be.

Fronting the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood and beside the Arabian Tea House this restaurant was neglected by us at first; we came here for dinner and the brightly lit and colourful terrace provided a warm dining experience; we had our first experience with grilled camel meat here and have been hooked ever since

Visited as a guest in the Local House Restaurant for lunch just today. We were entertaining friends from California, and enjoyed our corner side table. We chose to stay outdoors - to enjoy the littlebits cold weather of dubai. I just want to say that, in addition to a nice meal, we had a delightful staff, Sumit.he had just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency. He recognized that we wanted time to visit and did not rush us. He and other staff members made certain that we had everything we needed. Kudos!
