Long Yin

We had crab sweet corn soup (it was ok), chicken hot n sour soup (good), Crispy Peking duck (excellent), Prawn chives dumpling (excellent) egg fried rice and chicken in black bean sauce (good) and fried banana with vanilla ice cream (excellent). The waiter who helped us out was knowledgeable and kind. Thank you.

It was our 2nd time to eat here and will surely comeback. The place is very elegant they had a complimentary sweet wall nuts we also tried their soup lots of dumplings and beef with a nice wine.

Awesome food. Wonderful outdoor seating, average indoor ambience. The service can do with a bit of improvement, especially when they are crowded. Had to send back our food on the last visit because it had mushrooms in it, even though we had clearly specified no mushrooms at the time of placing the order. Staff can some times not be paying full attention, especially during busy times. Maybe that indicates a need to hire more staff.

Very old Chinese restaurant.
We order the onion beef which is very tasty, the rice is kinda dry but it’s very nice to match with the beef. The seafood tofu pot is fine, can be better.

Went back there second time and try other dishes, very disappointed that not as good as the first time, all the dishes did not meet my expectations. The scallops were served cold inside and too salty, the tiger prawn is not fresh enough…

Terribly disappointed from this place. I went here first time with my Spanish friend and it was pleasant and so the second time around yesterday I said I will take my friends here for dinner. Somehow we were received rather unwelcoming by the staff from this restaurant right at the entrance. First nobody was there to receive us. Took it 3 minutes before anyone appeared and we have to fetch the lady ourselves from inside. The place is empty so it was not at all busy yet. We were slightly unsure which should we try and so we were asking her if we should try Long Yin or the Bebemos (Spanish Restaurant). And she was not even smiling and accommodating and is sounding stiff and impatient while she enumerated the restaurants available, that if we want something else than Chinese then we should go the other side. At this point she should be marketing Long Yin to us than sending us off. But we decided to stay. Then menu selection the next lady staff was also not very welcoming. Could not even speak about what they have in the restaurant any recommendations etc.because I have an Arabic friend who was trying Chinese food for the first time. We have to squeeze out information from her so that we may be convinced of anything. Of course I'm in Le Meridien this is too basic of an expectation from any resident hotel restaurant. Food was not even exceptional to save it from our displeasure. Later on I asked if they are doing the earn dining points for Marriot Bonvoy membership. As I have the More Cravings app, and it was my first time to inquire about it, I just wanted to try how, or if it works. She flatly told me no they don't have it. In the app it was showing it is eligible to get the points in Long Yin and I showed her and she said, "No we don't have this otherwise we would have been informed about it. " Talk about poor customer communication. What I would have appreciated is that she have at least tried to check from her side even if it turns out it's really not applicable. But she already looked impatient just explaining things to me. Lastly, when we were leaving these 2 female staff (the front entrance and dining attendant) were just chatting in the middle of our path and did not even say any goodbye courtesy. When my friend asked if we needed to stamp our valet parking ticket she just cooly said, "No need to stamp. " It's unusual this type of unfriendliness and cold attitude where I usually dine, so I find it deeply appalling especially that at first I thought they were great. I should have picked some other better-serving restaurant where the staff are warm, helpful and topnotch. I don't think I will ever come back or recommend this restaurant. Staff needs better training on customer service and communication. Also there was not even a restaurant manager in sight to whom we could at least give feedback to. Certainly not a value for money and time as they do not have any perks, theme nights, events, promos or offers. A humble to mid-range Chinese restaurant can do better.

We liked the food and service.everything was good, tasty and spicy just they way we were hoping for. We had dinner and the ambiance was cool and cozy. Good restaurant for friends and family yummy time.

So disappointed with service. Seems like we cannot afford to pay on what we ordered. There’s no courtesy on helping us related to what we are asking. The staffs are not friendly, lack of good hospitality. Cannot even do some recommendation as we are new in the place. Small smile make a difference.

It’s used to be better ; from good quality went down. I think the main chef was on leave maybe! Ordered the wasabi prawn 116 aed was average (felt like inside was not well done) the prawn on toast was good 59 aed; hamour sweet and sour was less than average 85 the beef chilli per was sooooo bad (I compared to other places felt like it had somuch sugar). Used to come to this place since 20 years overall quality is not as it used to be

Very nice decoration with Chinese styles. Food delicious and genuine Chinese taste. We got sweet sour fish, soft shell crabs, oyster sauce broccoli with black mushrooms and stems rice and a bottle of sparkling water, cost 275AED or US$75

Staff seem a bit stressed.food so-so.sesame sauce with cucumber salad completely bland. "crispy" peking duck not very crispy and meat rather dry.pancakes resemble naan more than chinese pancakes.

I’ve had many Chinese but this caters to all. A great combination between traditional Chinese and modern/western expectations. Great service where a chef will come to your table and prepare certain dishes in front of you.

4. Money Matters: For a premium Restaurant it wont burn too big a hole in your pocket. 150 to 180 Aed per pax for a four course meal.
5.5point Experience: Chinese lovers come here. Worth a try for some good chinese food.

Ambiance, Service by Mr. Jun and food were all top notch and just perfect. We ordered pork bun.siomai. Yang chaw fried rice and hammour in soy sauce. More than enough for 2 people and reasonably priced for fine dining. Better than Shang Palace in my opinion.

Mr. Jun was friendly and always smiling. Very attentive. Will definitely come back soon.

Being a Chinese & celebrating Lunar New Year, we decided to hv Chinese cuisine since we can't celebrate with our families back hm.
Sadly our server was a lil disgruntled. After we were seated, not long after a management/office staff was seated a table away from us. Her attitude changed when she conveniently decided to serve them instead.
For us it's better since she wasn't happy serving us, plus those tt served us were far more pleasant.
Note to management/office staff, if u want to split the bill according to wat u had individually (there were 3 of them eventually), pls communicate specifically as u wasted the server's time hving to redo the bill after she has divided the bill equally. The customer diagonally from us, was waving his hand to get attention where servers were busy waiting on u. We had to inform server tt of the customer needed attention.
Ambiance wise was cozy, a tat dark to see the delicious food though. The food were fantastic except they ran out of vanilla ice which didn't go well with the fried bananas. It would also be awesome if they served pork Siew Mai as well. Anyhow, we were delighted to finally eat pork Xiao Long Bao

Had a feast earlier tonight and one of the Chinese restaurants here in Dubai serving authentic Chinese cuisine. Enjoyed their soft shelled salt and pepper crabs, barbeque Peking duck, Shrimp hakaw dumplings, cucumber with sesame oil salad and vegetable hofan noodles. Ended my Lunar New Year dinner with friends on a sweet note with their mango pudding. Can't wait to try out their other dimsum and main dishes on my next visit.

One of the few chinese restaurant serving non halal dishes. We ordered almost all the pork dishes. Crispy pork, xiao long bao and pork bun not bad. Restaurant looks new.

A genuine Chinese cuisine restaurant. I like that the place has been there for a long time which adds to their expertise in their field. Seating area was nice and the service by all staff was so professional and welcoming. This should be a regular place for you if you like Chinese food. Do call for reservations in advance especially on weekends or if you are a big group.

There is a good range of dishes available such as the wasabi prawns, shredded beef with chilli and mango pudding. Service was attentive and efficient. There was ample parking available. I miss the special deal on Fridays as it is now on Saturdays.

Great food and staff. Little bit pricey, but they accept many discount such as emirates platinum card.chairs are a little bit weird/uncomfortable.

The all you can eat menu on Saturday is nice, although the choices are limited. Try to get a table outside, the ambiance is very nice!

Hidden gem. Opposite the airport, a resturant that is both high in quality and taste. All you can eat buffet on sat with a fabulous menu variety. Extremely affordable prices and great vibe.

What a great place to be when celebrating love one's special occasion. Great for families and friends to share a relaxing brunch/dinner after work or over the weekend.

Waiters were polite, a bit expensive. I’m from Africa so that’s relative. The food was nice. Nice ambiance. And there’s a terrace too if you want fresh air

Probably the best Chinese restaurant I have visited in Dubai, but I still can't get it 5 stars. The reason for that is the price. It is a very expensive restaurant to eat at unfortunately. However the food was delicious and I loved the fact that I could get char sui pork. I would visit again, but only on a special occasion.

Excellent chinese/Asian food. The dumplings are very are delicious especially the beef one. The Mongolian beef is also very good. I also liked their seafood Udon. Overall, I always leave satisfied. I'm only giving it 4 starts because the last time I had the duck there it was dry and it seemed that it had been prepared a while ago. I'd definitely recommend the place though for Asian food lovers.

We just had a sumptuous dinner at Long Yin. Peter, the restaurant manager, is I think the most accommodating of all the restaurant managers in the Le Meridien restaurant chains. He goes out of his way to know his clients. Aproniano/Jun who has introduced us to the Gourmet club three years ago has never failed to be, I think the best, most professional server in all the chains as well. He loves and enjoys what he is doing and it shows. This goes with the other crew of Long Yin. My family and I feel very relaxed and satisfied every time we go to Long Yin. The food of course is the best. They only serve fresh ingredients. Shout out to the chef as well. It is, I think, the best Cantonese restaurant in Dubai. Having lived in Hong Kong for a long time, the food is what we miss so much. Long Yin’s food provides that longing for good Cantonese food.

Still the best traditional Chinese restaurant in Dubai. It has been renovated with fresh and more relaxed decor. Large variety of food items although I noticed that they use one fish for all their seafood items; Hamoor which is disappointing as customers may prefer other types of fish. I rate it as excellent for their category. Service is very good.

We were supposed to go to Ding Tai Fung in Al Ghurair Centre but it’s closed during Ramadan. So we called Long Yin asking if they’re open. The only replied we got is last order is 2: 45pm.it was around 1.30pm. So we say sure we’re going there immediately.

Arriving there in 10min, we were told that all tables are booked. But we can wait for 20 mins. Since we’re starving, we sat down and checked the menu while waiting.

After some time the waitress told us again no body left so we’re unlikely to get a table.

They could have told us it’s fully book on the phone when we called.so we wont even come and wait for a spot that is unlikely to get.

Very disappointed.

Seldomly you get your PERFECT MEAL, food 5* ambiance 5* service 5* amazing just amazing everything was fantastic, right from the soup, to the starters to the main course and to the dessert all was just SUPERB. Special kudos to Mr. Ramon & Mr. Peter.

Great Great Restaurant

Good Chinese food at Le Meridian. The soup and dumplings are one of the best in town. Service is also on par with what's expected of a restaurant in a 5 star hotel. Dim lights good comfortable seating. A Dubai classic close to the Airport.

We were having the 119dhs all you can eat dim sum. Food wise it's very nice. The food is very tasty, portion is just what you can expect of dim sum, small portion and lots of choices. The staff are very nice but seems like they are a bit understaffed, our orders got forgotten more than once, and you need to remind the staff, the order paper got lost somewhere. The walnut is amazing but once again you have to ask for it. Dessert is not nice, the coconut jelly is more or less tasteless. But all and all it's nice.
