Wanted to go there several times but it was always empty, so I managed to pick other venues in DIFC. Nobody wants to sit in an empty venue, right? To get there You have to cross the bridge, you don’t know what it is, if it’s open, you know, well hidden… I came there on Thursday at 16: 30, to finally try it. I ordered two drinks and one salad. It was empty again but I didn’t mind.there was a cleaning lady and few staff members. (Usual Powerplay) So I took my laptop out to turn it off bcs it was downloading some updates. Staff came and said to me that after 18: 00 laptops are not allowed it was 16: 30… I haven’t ask him about wifi, nothing… He said that I can sit outside.he added is not allowed because of the vibe… which vibe? Of an empty venue? Okay keep your vibe. Thank you for a “nice” experience. And my apologies to ruin the vibe. I finished the salad and the drink. I didn’t feel welcome. I left. Bcs of their vibe.
I’m a regular paying customer in Lulu’s and this morning I was refused a coffee order since I wanted it iced on this occasion EVEN THOUGH they had ice! They weren’t willing to serve me because they’d be doing a disservice to the coffee… surely what the regular paying customer requests to drink is priority over the opinion of the staff who aren’t even drinking the coffee! Lovely start to the morning.
Lulu has always been a good place only issue is the seating can be a bit tight. Other than that the ambiance, the music, the drinks and the food is good. I always have a good time whenever I go.
Please bring back the Baked Alaska dessert with the meringue and the pistachio ice cream. Everything else can stay the same! Including but not limited to a fragrance like 'Baies' by Diptyque filling the space and the excellent soap/lotion in the washroom. Not to mention the wonderful Ocean Vuong and Evelyn Waugh books I couldn't even find at Kinokuniya.
Cafe’, bar, library, chill-out vibes and an awesome work space too! I’ve had a meeting scheduled there and I was amazed with how nice the place is and a nice concept too!
The coffee was alright but the location is something I did enjoy. The visitor parking will cost you 20 aed for the first 2 hours and finding a spot does get difficult but the cafe itself has a very unique vibe
The food and drinks weren’t up-to the price point but the ambience was great! It’s a very aesthetic space if you’re looking for somewhere to get insta photos. Music was too loud, not work friendly.
I would love to try, I was there with my husband in the middle of the day with our baby sleeping on me on the carrier and then we seat with our stroller in a random table that we will nit distrube anyone.we got the menus, when we decided what we want to order some person from the restaurant I don't know if it was the manager just nicely told us to go because the menu contains alcoholic drinks and it's not allowed to be with the baby. They want to be a cool place, Children's are not allowed. Such a shame.
If there would be more than 5stars, I would give that. Atmosphere is top notch, with a kick of super nice welcoming team, coctails are to die for. Tomorrow needs to be back, one time was not enough:) check the books too, there are some hidden gems too. All in all, my new fav place in Dubai.
No problem spending my time alone there! It was so cozy and warm with great food and coffee! I really liked how lovely the staff were. Will definitely come back with some friends next time!
Did not have a great experience here, went along for the late Saturday brunch and before even entering you have to pay the bill.and if you order anything additional they hang around you straight away rather than asking at the end. It was not even full or busy. The waiter Roberto was also a bit rude and he spilled food on me while clearing the table and was in no hurry to give wipes/tissues. Not only that when the drinks were being poured he filled the glass half and said its because they are running out of it and that brunch is nearly over when there was a full hour left.and for the rest of the evening he was not friendly and drinks came out at a slow pace. Food was small portion and not so great. Won't be returning, rubbish staff and atmosphere. The DJ Kavella was good though.
I love the vibe. I actually imagined the space to be bigger than it is. Furniture is cool and staff friendly. I was a little disappointed in the food. Expected it to have more flavour somehow. But it’s decent and I just might had too high expectations. The drinks were okay. Overall I’ll come back but mainly for good vibes.
