I stayed at Aloft, and practically had my dinner everyday at Mahec, it's a lively place, great ambience. The Indian food is simply great!

Mahec located in Le Méridien is definitely the best Indian fine-dine restaurant in Dubai!
The location is perfect, near the airport, the ambience is beautiful, the vibe is great, low music, great for conversations with a colleague, friend, family or date, you can sit inside or outside (outside is the best for winters and smokers)
Coming to the most important bit, food and drinks.
The drinks here, the cocktails and mocktails are very refreshing, my favourite Cocktail was The Avatar, a wine based Cocktail infused with Indian spices, has that refreshing, spicy and delicious taste to it, when it comes to the Mocktail, I loved their Chilli Milli, it was sweet, spicy and lip-smacking! You do not want to miss out on these!
We were served with Starter Platter, which had Char Grilled Prawns, Chicken Mustard, Beetroot Tikki and my ultimate favorite, Sikandri Lamb Chops! Loved every bite and definitely the best Lamb Chops I've had till date!
They also had Avocado Bhel, and I was a fan of it right from the first bite! It was healthy, different and tasty!
Coming to the mains, we had Nizami Chicken Handi, Madras Chicken, Chicken Biryani, Malabari Prawns and Dal Makhini, I cannot say enough about it, typing all of this makes my mouth water! Everything was different from another and no repetition of taste whatsoever! And that is one of the best quality when it comes to a restaurant.
Jumping to my favorite here, the DESSERTS!
They served Shahi Tukda and Mixed Berries Kulfi!
The detailing to that Kulfi making it look like a Cheese, with amazing taste, it's a hard to find. However their Shahi Tukda was never the less amazing, it was soft, not too sweet and one of a kind!
Basically I am visiting this place again for their food, on-toes service and the beautiful vibe!

Daal makhani is the best! Also they offered a free cake on our anniversary, all the best team MAHEC. 5 star from my side.

We visited mahec for lunch. Food was decent. They need to work on their veg starters.
Zomato works there so it comes out reasonable.

Good ambiance, delicious food and courteous staff.
Overall absolute satisfaction. Low music, not noisy, some large screen for sports lovers and some tables away from the screen for those who come for a nice conversation.

Good food. I just wish the wait staff are better trained and are attentive to detail.

This failing across the Le Meridian restaurants often takes away from a great dining experience.

One of the best fine dine Indian restaurant for business lunches as well as family dining. Located inside Le Meridian, Airport Road, Dubai, this place offers all sorts of Indian delicacies along with drinks options. Outside dining is also available with beautiful surroundings. Staff is very pleasing. Better do reservations on weekends as it is usually crowded and you can also avail discounts on your premium credit cards while reserving your table in advance.

If you know the authentic food taste. Or you want to know what authentic food taste is then you must visit MAHEC DUBAI YOUE WILL COME AGAIN AND AGAIN.

This used to be one of my go-to places for any special occasion for many years. However, it has now started losing its charm accompanied with detoriated service levels.
While food still has not lost its edge, the service has really gone south.
With approximately 10 people and a bill of around 1500k, they end up giving you very smallest size of accompaniment starting from Onion to desserts.
I don't think I plan to revisit this place now purely because of the service levels and zero efforts put in to make guests comfortable.

Time for Self retrospect for Mahec!

Sehr gutes Restaurant mit authentischen indischen Gerichten.
Vorsicht: authentisch heißt teilweise sehr scharf, vorher lieber nachfragen.
02 December 2021 17:26
Food - good. I hâd the Lamb Rojganos with saffron rice. Wife hâd the Chicken byriani baked în bread crust. The lamb meal had very little meat for the price. The sauce was very tasty, you could taste The spices, well balanced. The service was above average and very responsive. The price were somewhat high.

Unfortunately, me and my husband will not go back. There was no welcome as such. We have been to several places and we're always welcomed amazingly. Except ambience nothing was good. The food was average but the quantity is very low. We ordered Dal Makhini and trust me it was not enough for two people (not even two catoris that we have at our home). Lacha paratha and naan were good. They took very long to serve the food.
There was no welcome drink, no papad nothing. And when we asked for normal pudina or any green chutney that is usually served with onion salad they said the chutney has been discontinued. The reason that we were explained I didn't understand.
If you guys also look for reviews before chosing any place do look for other options as well and be careful.

Great food and wonderful ambiance! Indian cuisine restaurant in le meridian airport road hotel
Friendly staff and orders are served quick!
Negative part: not many options on the menu as compared with normal Indian restaurants

In Dubai, there are very few places to smoke shisha and drink a beer together. The concept and the canons of the service are very far from the European premises.they always tell you things with a very artificial smile, even if one thing they cannot do. The second time I went to them, the oriental girl told me with a very artificial and machine-like smile that the peanuts were gone and for this she brought me the cucumber. I don't know where she learned to serve a beer with cucumbers, but that's how it went. To be avoided.

Hands down the best Indian restaurant in Dubai! Nice atmosphere, great staff and delicious food! Highly recommended!

Excellent. Ordered daal and biryani and it was just great. Chef also came out to check if food was up to mark. This shows they have passion for what they do.

27 February 2021 20:51
Starters were amazing but mains were literally tasting bad. The ambience was good but the food was really not upto the mark. Non vegetarian food wasn't good too.

May be it was crowded chef couldn't manage to prepare the food well.

Love the place, pleasant ambiance, live matches entertainment, Bar counter, food is simply testy and love to go again.
10 December 2020 21:14
The management has changed. The experience was horrible. Choice of food, service, courtesy all poor. They spoiled my family Diwali dinner.
30 January 2020 23:32
It's been long overdue for this review. Wonderful service by Shilpi and one of the reasons to keep returning to MAHEC. It was a quite Saturday afternoon lunch with the family when we were treated specially by the master himself Chef Satish who took the time off and greeted us at our table for a pleasant conversation. Overall it was and still remains as one of our wonderful experiences being at this place.
10 January 2020 11:49
A very misplaced restaurant in a good location. Really sad le meridien chain has leased out its restaurant to a very rude, un professional management team. I think SPG should re consider its franchisees
27 November 2019 13:11
Great customer service. Try coming here in night heard that it's very busy where no customers coming from India, only Locals and Europeans head to this place
23 November 2019 1:48
Fine dining restaurant.
Murg biryani was awesome with aromatic flavor.
Dal and shahanshahi kofta were signature dishes for vegetarians.
Ambience and color theme was perfect.
19 November 2019 16:41
We chose this place to celebrate our Diwali! The lamb chop here is amazing. Also, the ambience, service, music, everything is perfect good.
18 July 2019 21:02
Authentic decor and atmosphere. Friendly and professional service. There is an element of creativity but the food in general is not outstanding. The starters and the mains were average. The only standing out dish was the biryani which was very good. The desserts were also descent.
26 May 2019 2:35
Excellent food and service. Warm and very friendly staff. I always come here when staying at Le Meridien Hotel Dubai
04 May 2019 12:17
Visited on my birthday with my family. The staff were very good and the food was absolutely delicious!
19 April 2019 17:52
Not impressed with the service or the food.although the name of the dishes sound better than they taste.i would only vote for the Dal makhni.sad.
13 April 2019 13:12
Family took me here for my birthday and we had an enjoyable experience. While we are spoilt for choice for high end Indian restaurants in Dubai, I didn't think this was too over the top. They did have complimentary pre starters though. Food was just right in terms of flavor and portion size. The egg plant curry was a miss but the naan and paneer dishes, Biriyani was tasty and not too spicy.
18 February 2019 16:10
Great place. Great food. Great service from the restaurant manager - Vijay and his team! We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends and family. Love the ambiance and music.

Chef Satish Arora has been in the culinary scene the for past 50 years and is considered an icon in the Indian scene, having served celebrities and royalty including the likes of Queen Elizabeth and Bill Clinton. Chef Satish has since brought his magic to Mahec, located in the fabulous Le Meridien hotel in Garhoud.

The restaurant itself nicely decorated with two gorgeous chandeliers in the restaurants that brightens up the venue.

I really enjoyed the refreshing cocktails that are served here as they are original filled with creativity. While they are not over the top, they are combining every day ingredients that you would not have thought of using in the drinks, which results in tasty combinations.

Presentations of the dishes were also excellent as you eat with your eyes first in most cases. Seeing something visually appealing undoubtedly helps with the appetite and my nose was tingling with the fragrant-ness of each dish.

The portion sizes were great. They were large enough to satisfy your craving after your first bite, but not overly large that you get stuffed and are unable to eat anything else. Chef Satish did a great job of creating the menu which allows you to really taste the ingredients of each dish, if you are not busy swallowing the whole thing down because it is so tasty!

I really enjoyed the creativity on the appetisers and desserts. It would be nice if the same could be applied for the main courses. I had about 5 main dishes and the presentation looked about the same as everywhere else that I have had the same dish. As I mentioned earlier, most people who are eaters will eat with their eyes first and my eyes were not drawn to the main courses the same say they were with the appetisers and desserts.

I felt there were slight miss timing on the cooking times of certain dishes. The naan was slightly overcooked with some burnt/charcoal underneath the naan. WHile many restaurants will say this is natural due to the cooking process, I have had naan prepared the same way without anything black on the bottom. I experienced the same issue with cooking times with the prawns, but that is a simple fix.

If you want to know what kind of dishes are served to royalty, celebrities and people of status, Mahec by Satish Arora is the place to go.
