Manava Restaurant

We had dinner there, food is really bad, tasteless and cold.
The only advantage is the cheese and some salads.
Never again.

Mama a is the Sofitel main buffet restaurant. We had all our breakfasts there and one evening meal.
Breakfast advice, sit outside if you don’t like it busy and constant plate clinking noises. Otherwise the breakfast food is of good quality, good range of options for juices, yogurts, breads, meats, cereals, cooked breakfast, beans, egg station, etc. But for a Brit beef bacon/sausage is no replacement for the pork versions. My only complaint would be, why do the sausages never look like they are cooked and look anemic. Niko looked after us most days and was great.
Dinner, food was fine, variety good, the jumeriah beach hotel was far better for variety. But given there are 4 other great restaurants with table service I’m not sure I would ever go back for dinner unless I wanted an eat as much as you want type dinner.
Overall good service and good food, just busy.

I went there for my moms birthday to have wow experience. Unfortunately the food was too limited and tasteless. No one else was there n it ruined my moms birthday. Only the staff was very nice. Pls dont go with expectations of good buffet. There was no chef live, no music, nothing great salad neither deserts.

So the hotel overall is great, no doubt about that. When we entered the restaurant everything went smoothly, we were directed to our seats outside in the smoking section. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary after a recommendation and to our surprise, the variety of food that was offered was not that great. The food lacked taste and very few choices for dinner on Sunday.

After we had our salads my husband decided to smoke a cigarette, to which a lady sitting behind us told us that we should not smoke and that the smoke is blowing everywhere, bear in mind that the lady had a 6-8-year-old daughter with her. To respect what she asked for, my husband when ahead and put it off. I was furious as I had requested via email and in person for a smoking area. I went inside and informed the staff and reconfirmed if we were seated in a smoking area to which they agreed and I informed them that we were asked to put off our cigarettes in a smoking area! The waiters went and told the manager about the situation and he went ahead to confront the family and ask them politely to move. However, the lady was extremely rude to them after which the manager decided that we should move instead of them and I told him that I was here celebrating my anniversary and you are asking me to move. Like seriously? I told him I will not be moving, after a while the family left, and then my husband put the cigarette to smoke. After that, the manager approached me again and he was apologetic but it made me furious that we were asked to move because we were speaking the same language as him.

To our disappointment right before we decided to leave all of a sudden we were brought sparking juice and a slice of cake, to make up for the discussion that happened earlier. All in all, it is something that could have been easily solved if the family who was seated before us were asked to sit in the right place.

In the end, the anniversary dinner was completely ruined and the food made it no better. I will not be coming back again nor will I recommend it to anyone else to celebrate.

I am giving it a two because I liked the décor of the hotel.

Classic buffet dinner. Wide spread and good variety. Very balanced food choices and well presented. Choices of dessert is inviting. Ambience is good but can be better, spacious seating arrangements. Quality of food is good. Excellent service.

During our stay at the Sofitel, we ate several times at Manava restaurant. The food quality was great and the service excellent. Especially the breakfast, we enjoyed very much due to its variety. Special thank you to Manava staff Anara from Kyrgyzstan who took excellent care of us and was extremely helpful. We ll be back!

The only good one is using entertainer coupons.the kind of foods was limited and there was not stakes even dinner.beverages has to paid extras. Some managers asked me to write good reviews.

If you consider the buffet quality by itself, i would give it a 9/10.
But considering it's a sofitel resort in Dubai and on the palm, we were expecting more. Much more.

Nothing makes it stand out.

Staff are 5 star though.

Average buffet restaurant. Good quality food but limited choices. Water and beverages not included, unlike typical buffet restaurants in Dubai.

It was good experience but less options like 90% chicken only one option for seafood and one option beef and the drinks will be additional charge the buffet cost 195 AED

Wir waren Ende Januar bis Anfang Februar bei Sofitel Jumeirah Palm und haben unseren letzten Abend im Manava Restaurant verbracht. Die Auswahl an Essen ist OK, jedoch fehlen mehr Vegetarier/ veganer Alternativen. Für diese Gerichte war der Preis viel zu hoch, daher leider nur 3 Sterne. Service war freundlich jedoch langsam, auf das Zahlen haben wir am Ende sehr lange warten müssen. Wenn man nicht immer ausserhalb essen möchte, ist es eine gute Alternative, jedoch spricht der Preis nicht dafür.

Amazing! This buffet offers a vast choice of food, ranging from egg stations, to refrigerated food, cereal, desserts and beverages. The staff were also absolutely terrific; Krishna, in particular, was incredibly helpful and kind, and made our experience so much better! I definitely recommend this buffet to everyone - great food and even better service!

Exemplary breakfast buffet - very organized and efficient with multiple stations for busy items like omelets. Sarath was taking care of us at our table and did a great job

Yes it's a buffet but staff in charge of each section will get the food for you. They have I think 6 live stations for egg preparation, cold buffet, cereals station, fresh juices & water, pastries and coffee machines stations.
Such a huge restaurant but there are enough of staff to assist and serve you too.

I had a lovely weekend breakfast today. You feel so much safe as the staff practice the covid protocol. The team were very attentive and the food was delicious. Though there were not that much option like the previous year. But that is totally understandable.
Rosalie at the reception was very helpful and cheerful. Chetan was very friendly and accommodating! I will definitely comeback soon! Kudos! To the team!

Manava Restaurant is the all-day-dining venue in Sofitel The Palm. We visited them for breakfast. The buffet offers breads, bakery items, egg station etc. They don’t offer much variety. The service is excellent.

This restaurant was amazing. There is something for everyone's palate, and the food was so delicious, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner. My grandson has food allergies and the amazing Chef was able to cater to his needs.

At Christmas Brunch Christmas Day right now, just a delicious delight, kids loving it, we’re loving it, ambiance is high, service is good.having a great time

The worst buffet I’ve ever been to.the staff, bless them worked very hard to be accommodating but the food choices were very limited and really didn’t taste good at all.it looked like a 2 3rds of the buffet were missing.a very sad experience and also felt ripped off for paying AED 200 each.

Worst buffet experience ever! Why? Here you go:

1. They are charging you AED 200 per person and the food options are very limited you would say you are in a 3 stars hotel restaurant.
2. No grill or barbecue options
3. Can you imagine there is no lamb kabab or kofta
4. No drinks are covered within the buffet price. I mean NONE! Even if you choke and you want water they will charge you 20 AED FOR THE SMALL BOTTLE OF WATER!
5. Food taste is mediocre!

Please dont go there!

Brilliant food, wide variety of food on the international days. In addition themed nights are amazing with vast traditional flavours.

Located in the Five Star Sofitel the Palm Dubai, one of the signature and iconic restaurant in the Palm.
We went for Italian theme Buffet night, Restaurant was spacious with good environment that you can totally feel relaxation here. The service was extremely well and fast, the food quality is above PAR, pricing is reasonable, not that super expensive!

I had lunch. Not enough warm food and everything so greasy. Definitely a better cold buffet. There were no juices or drinks to pour. I had to ask the waitress. My friend was unhappy about the lack of hot meals without lactose and gluten. A big plus for gluten-free bread. Generally 8/10

I get what i paid for, the Breakfast was wonderful! Wide array of food choices with fresh ingredients, spacious space and attention to details are standout. Not to mention how the staffs are gonna treat you with kindness and hospitality especially to Ms. Nina for helping us out with everything we need. She’s the best.

Excellent choice and presentation of the various menus available. Particular acknowledgement and credit go to Waqas who looked after my family as if we were his family which made our stay that much more enjoyable. Thanks Waqas from Samir, Mini, Jay and Reeva.

I would like to start with the very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere - the snug interior, yet allowing plenty daylight coming in from the big windows and the indoor waterfall-like fountains adding up extra to the harmonious vibe. The buffet is presented with a very creative and organized layout, making clear differentiation between the different sections but still keeping all in one central area so you do not have to wander from one end of the restaurant to the other. From the point of my own diet and taste, I was impressed by the cold/fresh/salad sections, and the range of organic products, followed by delicious vegan choices from the hot items. Apart from that, many other veg/non-veg items were available to suit everybody's needs and requirements. Food allergens tags were appreciated.

Very nice breakfast buffet, will visit again. International choices of dishes with dominant French style.

Keep expectations low to avoid disappointment in the food. If you're shelling out AED 200 and want to enjoy your food, please choose another restaurant within the resort or better yet choose other restaurants around The Palm.

A very limited spread in this restaurant located at the 5* sofitel the palm. The ambience and decor is fine but the spread is extremely limited. Definitely not worth it.

Food was the worst we have ever tasted anywhere.like even spinneys has better hummus! Spread was super limited! Desserts were hard TO EVEN FIND sad! But staff was amazing! They went out of their way to make things tolerable.will never return for sure.thnx to Janica for superior service

Incredible restaurant!
Great selection - but the admirable was the staff. The supervisor Manoj and his team were very professional and fulfilled all our wishes. Furthermore, Chef Vaibhor spoiled us with Indian specialities. I recommend to everyone.

It was a wonderful dinner on last night, good lights and food and the staffs as well, especially Mr. Waqas who served us well.
