Manisha's kitchen gave me wonderful experience n the great Maharashtruan taste of a special dish VADA PAV.
Moreover I observed the grateness of the owner Manishaji as she provided me details of Maharashtra Mandal Dubai for which I was starving.
Big Big thanks to Manishaji for her kind co operation.

Dhs 38 thali did not have enough dal in rice. Was charged extra for a very small quantity of dal when asked, don't think thali is worth the price for taste as well as quantity. Would recommend Peshwa for veg limited thali.

Combination of Beautiful place and delicious Mumbai food
I had vada paw, misal paw and POHe
Mumbaikar you wont find this tasty food ever in Dubai only in manisha”s kitchen
Very clean and well maintained seating and dining
Being a mumbaikar For me it was blessing finding this place which gives me feel of my mumbai food

Food is authentic Maharashtrian food.
We ordered for Tari pohe, Mix herb Thalipeeth, Misal pav and ginger tea with jaggery.
Every bite was authentic.
The only issue was they were short of staff.
01 guy was overworked.

Ordered food through Noon and I was fasting and the food was completely burned. Can’t believe a restaurant like Manisha kitchen which is well known for Fasting food can do this mistake. Very disappointed with this service.

The only reason I've given 3-stars for the service is that it's a little slow. Food preparation takes a long time - but that's for a very good reason: Everything's freshly prepared after receiving the order.
Other than that, this place serves THE BEST Maharashtrian vegetarian food in Dubai - right from snacks items like pohey, batata wada to sabudaba wada, thaalipeeth etc. They have quite an extensive menu of lunch & dinner items too - e.g. Pithla, various types of bhaakri, bharli waangi and also sol kadhi.
I've been here multiple times, so I already have some favourites. My most favourite order here is: misal / misal thaali - but for this, you need to have a big appetite. On various other occasions I've tried their matki usal, daalimbi usal, wada paav, upma, sabudana khichadi and really all items are totally yummy.
They also have some of the most popular ready-to-eat snack items for sale, e.g. Baakarwadi, chakli, various types of laadu and some masalas.
So, the next time you're in Karama, if you feel a craving for authentic Brahman-style Marathi food, this is the place to head to.

I ordered food on noon. It said a deluxe thali for AED 26. The qty of sabji and dal was horrible. Even a mini thali has more qty than this from a regular restaurant
23 July 2023 12:03
Pure veg Authentic maharashtrian cuisine hub.
It’s a small cozy restaurant which serves amazing food.
I had pitla-bhakri, vada pav, misal pav and solkadi.

Everything has perfect taste.
Solkadi was a bliss in Dubai summers.

The portions were not appropriate though. We ordered a pitla-bhakri combo. Pitla was too less to have with 2 bhakri.

Food quality was good!
All tasted different!
Must try if you havent tried maharashtrian breakfast/ local food!

Bit expensive considering the ambient of restaurant & service!

I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews for this restaurant! For me this place is a heaven. I'm not maharashtrian but born and brought up in Mumbai. People need to understand that some maharashtrian food is light, simple, basic and known for it's authenticity. If you've never had it before you may not understand. All those mentioning about the price of food, I find their rates reasonable given the fact that 'This is Dubai'. Need to meet the expenses, etc etc. Also the price is far less cheaper than some other similar restaurants. I personally have never visited however only been ordering online from noon. I'm in love with your Puran poli️ please also add ukdiche modak to the menu on Noon.

If you're Marathi, you will feel at home at this restaurant. Food tastes homely and less expensive
05 April 2023 5:23
Worst experience. Twice we went. But both time same experience. Service is very slow. No one is bothered about customers. It seems the waiter forgets about the order eventhough its not at all crowded. About taste, they just prepare it spicy without any authentic taste.

Manisha’s Kitchen provides authentic and moreover affordable vegetarian maharashtrian cuisine in old town Dubai.

Tried their Kotimbir Wadis, Maharashtrian mini tiffin thali; both were good. Garlic tea is also nice

The ambiance/interiors is decorated well.

Do expect some delays for some of the maharashtrian items as they need time to be cooked properly incl Thalipeeth, Kothimbir wadi.

Customer service: Good

Nice restaurant for maharastra flavour
I love their flower shorba and sabudana khichdi, and most importantly on my personal request they gave spicy ginger garlic chilli chutney to give a rustic flavour.

One of the best place for Maharashtrian food in Dubai AL Karama location, those who not find a best place or craving for Indian food specially who wanted to eat Maharashtrian food must visit to this place.thank you Manisha’s Kitchen for serving home food.

Went here for a late night snack and absolutely loved it. Had Dabeli Style Vada Pav which is must try for all Vada Pav lovers. Really tasty. Also tried Dahi Batata Puri which was awesome too. Loved the staffs too. They were about to close and were more than happy to serve what we wanted. A must try place for all Maharashtrian veg food lovers.

Jay Maharashtra! One of the best Marathi restaurant after Peshwa with complete Marathi menu highly recommended for vegetarians. Must visit place

We ordered
Maharashtrian thali
Pitla Bhakri
Kothimbir wadi
Misal paav.
29 September 2022 15:34
The thaali they served, taste was very basic, but it was not very good & charged 31 dirham Very less sabhji & curry. Really not worth.
26 August 2022 16:05
For a long time, I needed to try Maharashtrian nourishment and we finished up planning to this place.
The awful scent when we entered the eatery. Cleanliness is exceptionally moo.all over flies are moving and the backside of the mirror cockroach is running.
We requested missal pav, dabeli style vada pav, vada pav, and mini tiffin.
The taste was exceptionally essential, but it was not exceptionally good And trust me it was atrocious! I would never donate my life any chance to undertake that again! Staff was courteous
17 August 2022 23:51
MK's is my favorite restaurant for my cravings for pure vegetarian Brahmani Maharashtrian cuisine. Their batata wada can give a run for money to the famous Shri Krishna Vada of Dadar. The misal is simply brilliant. All the items on the menu card taste good. Their thalis are very good too. Heavenly drinks like Solkadhi, Piyush, Taak or Lassi to finish the party. It's definitely value for money for the quality of food served. One star less for their inconsistency on washroom hygiene and switching off the AC.

Since a long time I wanted to try a Maharashrian food and we ended up going to this place.

The first thing the guy in the counter asked me whether I’m a Maharashtrian or not. And when I said no, then he started giving hype about the food they cook.

We ordered A plate of Veg Thali, And a combo of Roti with Aloo palak which costed us 73AED and I couldn’t find those dishes he suggested to us on the menu too

The taste was very basic, but it was not very good.
They served us one glass of Chaas (Buttermilk) with so much of exaggerations, like you’ll go mad if you taste our Chaas!
And trust me it was atrocious!
I would never give my life any chance to try that again!
They charded us 13 AED for that too!
What a terrible!

The Daal was insanely salty, Baigan (Brinjal) was so greasy and overloaded with peanut. And the Kadhi was dry!

I should have known since this place had no wait and every other place had a an hour wait.
We couldn’t finish our food because we were unsure of what we were eating nothing looked like what it said it was!
And at last the guy refused to give us the bill also when I asked he said there’s some problem with the system.

In short,
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT EAT THERE!
13 July 2022 9:34
Slightly over priced but I guess when it comes to authenticity, this is as close as it gets to Maharashtrian. Good overall.enjoyed the dishes had for dinner.
09 July 2022 13:08
Upon reaching the place, I realized the eatery is owned and operated by an acquaintance!

Niche market. Excellent food.had a home made feel to it. The Misal thali is a treat to a Maharashtrian / anybody who loves Maharashtrian cuisine.

Good utilization of space. Great place - look forward to visit again!
03 January 2022 16:40
Poor quality food and smelly ambience. Flies around the table when we were having our food. Food served was also not hot, felt like food warmed in oven and served. The place is costly and no value for money spent.
22 November 2021 19:29
If you are craving for VEG, then this will be your destination. I am a die hard Non Veg lover but I wanted to taste authentic maharashtrian food. Manisha's Kitchen gives you one of the best Veg taste in town. One should must try Rice chapati and Jhumka.
Last but not the least, staffs are very well behaved.
21 November 2021 17:25
The food was ok. But the price is too high as compared to its quantity. AED 31.50 for Bhakri Thali which is a limited thali. Also the khichdi was served in a extra small dish which is normally used to serve chutney in udipi hotels as seen in the pic. Any extra item would cost extra. Not worth it.
25 October 2021 20:29
We dine in bhakari thali which cost 33 AED limited food. Small portion of food with two rotis and small portion of rice, with 2 curries, Dal, bhaji, chaas and jalebi 2 pcs (limited portion) extra roti will cost 4.20 AED.

Quality of the food is not up to the mark. Very expensive vegeterain restaurant.
24 October 2021 17:05
The restaurant was smelling with some odd smell? , Food served was not hot at all. We ordered Misal Thali, the fritters were also very cold. Won't visit again with my family again. Thanks.
17 October 2021 1:09
Food is very authentic. Small & cozy place. Certainly feels like home. Staff are very friendly. They also keep maharashtrian snacks at the check out. We had a bhakri thali.it was delicious & filling. We look forward to trying maharashtrian snacks on our next visit.
21 July 2021 21:44
On the food front, this is a highly over-rated restaurant. We had Misal Pav, Aamras Puri and Bhakri thali. The one star is only for Misal Pav. The rest items lacked taste and content worth consuming.

The place seriously needs to keep in mind COVID consciousness, which is highly overlooked with a crammed sitting arrangement and no desire by the attendant to remind visitors.
01 June 2021 19:48
Authentic Maharashtrian food, superb service, large portions and very affordable prices.
The food tastes like home made food, no artificial colors added, nice ambience.
Very friendly staff.
One of its kind in UAE.

An authentic Maharashtrian cuisine by Manisha’s kitchen.

Good taste and friendly atmosphere. I got the mirchi chatni love it. We had Pithla & Bhakri, awesome. Pocket Friendly.

Altogether:
Good Taste: 5/5
Staff: 5/5
Pocket Friendly: 5/5
Happiness: 5/5

Rating changed from 5 to 4after last visit due to unprofessional staff service.

Best quality authentic Maharashtrian food available. Puran poli thali is best (must try) for 36 AED, all item in thali prepared fresh.

Vadapav and misal pav taste is same like as mumbai but pav/bread size is very big (pav/bread should be like mumbai style pav by taste, size and required to be littlebit soft) pav quality need to be improve.

Very positive feeling you will feel once you enter the restaurant. Very nicely decorated restaurant.

All foods cooked fresh, after the placing the order. Washroom and toilet available (very neat and clean with freshner).

Ginger fresh milk tea available in disposable cup (must try) but as per my opinion tea should be serve in Mumbai style cutting chai glass cup OR cup and SAUCER, so it will enhance the authentic tea experience.

Farsan/chivda, chakli, karanji, ladoo, poha/misal chivda etc packets available for sale.

Free drinking water not available.
RTA 318D parking available at the backside of the restaurant

Note: Order taking long time because all food are prepared FRESH, after once you place the order. Minimum Waiting time for all orders 20 to 25 min.

Food and quality
Staff and service (need to be improve)
staff was rude while recent visit, when I told him that tea was not good compare to last visit, so his behavior was not professional after that.
Neat and cleanliness

Patience is a virtue. But the wait is worth it. Had a bhakri thali and a vada. I don't eat eggplant but this one was just brilliant. One small thing tho. The bhakri needs to be hot and not folded.

For authentic Maharashtrian Cuisine, this is a must place you need to visit. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant located in Al Karama area. We had their Maharashtrian Snacks Platter, Batata Jawari Thalipeethi, Dhabeli Style Vada Pav, Adrakwali Chai and Sol Kadhi. The Snacks Platter had 5 different types of snacks, all flavorful and mouthwatering. Thalipeethi is like a stuffed paratha with potatoes, onions and crushed peanuts. Dhabeli Style Vada Pav is a twist to the usual vada pav which had Dhabeli masala and the pav was toasted. Ginger tea after an awesome meal is the icing on top. Sol Kadhi is an appetizer made from coconut milk, kokum along with spices. Great after a full tummy.

This place is perfect for someone who loves to eat Maharashtrian food or even want to try your hand at it. Its absolutely delightful, freshly made & love how its served in an authentic way in steel plates that reminds us for our country. We went in a group and tried a lot of items including:

Kothambir Wadi – steams & then fried muthiya made with besan & coriander

Mini Thali – a perfect platter of breakfast to try everything. It has a portion of poha, sabudana khichdi, batata vada, missal pav & sheera

Dabeli Vada Pav – A grilled vadapav with extra ordinary flavours

Kokum Serbat, Sol Kadhi & Piyush – these drinks have a unique flavor and made with love. Sol Kadhi is made of kokum & coconut milk with some garlic. Its like a blast of flavours in your mouth. Piyush is lassi with nutmeg in it. You will love it!

Coming to lunch thali – we tried both the variety – one with puran poli & other with jowar & rice bhakri served with a lot of authentic maharahtrian / Konkani style vegetables, some pakode & sweets.

The portion size, the price, the hospitality is really amazing and the food is freshly made to give you a homely feeling.

The highlight of the afternoon was Ukadiche Modak which is a steamed sweet filled with coconut & jagerry. A must try here!

Go ahead, visit them, you are going to love them!

Picked up 9 chapatis today.around 8 pm do that at least once a week.realized it was heated up not freshly made.felt very hard and kind of stale.same feedback by kids too.while I insisted it has to freshly made & to be warm and was ready to wait.truly disappointed.to witness over promise and under delivery.poor quality. Need to be consistent
10 March 2021 16:03
Yummy food.the chai or the mini tiffin are just amazing.perfect place for maharashtrian food.the piping hot vadas or the melt in the mouth kothimbir vadi just amazing.

Manisha’s Kitchen provides authentic vegetarian maharashtrian cuisine in Karama Area of Dubai. Tried their Mishal and Vada Pav; both were good. They also have variety of snacks and sweets to choose from alongwith pleasant traditional ambiance/interiors with good customer service. Must try for a change.
09 February 2021 17:11
One of the few (or probably the only) restaurant in Dubai that serves authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. And by Maharashtrian cuisine I do not mean limited to the street foods of Mumbai & Pune like vada pav and missal but also things like Puran Poli, Sol Kadhi, Zunkha Bhakar, etc.

The food here is simple, soulful, and non pretentious. Love it.
04 January 2021 16:17
Food Quality is good. Excellent marathi puran poli thali. Sol kadhi was tasty.zunka bhakri was adequately spiced up. Jowar bhakri was soft. Only the hygiene factor is a bit low. The wash basin area needs a lot of improvement.
11 August 2020 4:38
Was in a mood to eat Puran Poli.just picked up a dozen & was aghast after opening the parcel.
Definitely a non-Maharastrian novice must have prepared them.it was like bad quality puran parathas.
Humbly request Manisha-ji to take it off the menu or train the Chef.
15 May 2020 7:18
When it comes to vegetarian maharashtrian cuisine in old town Dubai, this is one of the most authentic and affordable places. It's menu is comprehensive and covers not only most of the popular dishes but also some of the rare ones like "doodhi bhopda curry" etc.

The set up has got seating as well as outdoors and when the weather in Dubai is really nice (between November and March), it is highly recommended to go there for a light snack during afternoon or heavy weekend meal.
07 March 2020 6:33
Good Maharastrian taste food. Very nice service. Garama garam and fresh tasty food. All staff are very much friendly. Monu served us so well that you feel like you are having food at home.

A friend of mine from Bengaluru celebrated women's day by inviting us for dinner. Our Tamilian friend thoroughly enjoyed Maharashtraian food for the very first time. Kothimbir vadi was outstanding. So was the Bhakri, pooran poli and modak.
14 January 2019 19:41
I tried almost all dishes here. Misal is one of my favorite. Nice place to enjoy maharashtrian food.
03 January 2019 3:44
Dabeli style vada pav is awesome and must try with ginger tea. Rest maharastrian cuisine is okay
31 December 2018 7:20
Worst place n pathetic service, owners is not bothered about customer as he was seating next to my table n watching me screaming at his employee, never ever waste ur time going their
31 December 2018 0:21
Great Maharashtrian food. Difficult to choose from the menu. Even the drinks need several visits to complete the memories.
Watch for parking availability, go late for dinner.
17 December 2018 7:13
If you are hardcore Marathi and missing traditional indian Marathi food, this is best place for you.
You won't feel any difference in taste.
They served typical Marathi menus like wangyache bharit, bharalele wang, zunaka bhakar, Modak, thalipith.
Their breakfast and other side dishes are also good.
I tried pohe, puranpoli, misal, wangyache bharit, zunaka bhakar and sabudana khichadi. Everything was good and at very good price range.

For 2: 60-80 aed
Walkable from metro station
Must try:
Puranpoli, Zunaka Bhakar

The food us really authentic Maharashtrian. We tried sabudana khichadi, kobi and gajar thalipeeth, Puran Poli and Kokam sharbet. We loved all the items. Would like to try more and definitely recommend anyone who likes veg food. Restaurant interior ambience and sitting arrangement is very basic. But food which really matters for me is very good.
