I recently had the experience of overseeing my father's bilateral knee replacement surgery at Medcare Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital, and I must say, the entire journey from pre-surgery to post-recovery was handled with utmost professionalism and care. Worst service ever as comparing to other Medicare brunches. The staff is very slow, not trained well and never respecting appointment timings. Cafeteria as well asking 1 dirham for hot water in half cup, and if someone does not have coins they will tell to bring back next time.

Vismaya was an amazing nurse. She put the canula in my hand so well. I have rubbish veins and last time it hurt. Vismaya did an amazing job and I had no pain at all.

The surgeon “Dr Moosa Kazim” was beyond fabulous, he explained thoroughly the procedure several times & carried out the surgery meticulously.

We had an accident and had to rush into emergency at this hospital. We were referred to this hospital for the specific injury I had suffered. The doctor in emergency was Dr Ghanem and the nurse Mr Aneel were extremely calm and astute professionals. I walked out of the hospital at ease and much calmer than when I had entered. I extend my gratitude to the team at this hospital.

The impatient department of MOSH all from doctors, nurses and helpers gave excellent services ever smiling and every ready to help.
The food was very good too and the one serving were very polite.

Had my knee surgery done this week and had the most soothing experience ever despite my pain mainly due to the doctors, nurses and support staff who were simply outstanding in their timely service and execution. Dr Anwar and Dr Ann were great and made me feel secure every step of the way and so did the dietician and physiotherapist. A truly livable hospital.

All in all experience was very good. I did my knee surgery, ACL reconstruction. Dr Moosa Kazim was great. The nurses were very caring and kind. Very clean and hospitality was great

The care at this hospital is of the highest standard from the time you meet with your Doctor, to check-in, to Surgery, and to the after care by the nurses.

If i were to recommend anyone for treatment option, Medcare would be my first preference.

I am shocked that some nurses don't have proper desks and they have to work in a very uncomfortable and possibly hurting possition. They are just provided mobile desks. That seams contradictory for a spine hospital. I hope the management reads here and takes some action.

Dr. Nikola Vagic, performed an operation on my lower back 14 days ago. This was the second time I have been through this procedure. Unfortunately the first time around the surgeon incerted a screw into my spinal column and did not sort out the problem. I was left in a similar position with restricted movement and nerve damage post the first operation.

After Dr. Nikolas first consultation, he put me at ease with how well he explained everything to me.he assured me that he would do all he could to help ease the pain and get me functioning properly.

I have since had the operation, and after 14 days, I am feeling so much better. Dr. Nikola has taken time out to chat with me about recovering properly and has recommended me to a physio he has trained to help his patients.

He is a Dr. Who cares and must be very skilled at surgery.

Had back surgery last week. Dr Nikola Vagic was the surgeon and he was, frankly, very good. Very clear, very understand and most importantly experienced and knowledgeable.

Dr. Usama Saleh is very thorough and light hearted despite knowing I needed to have 4 surgeries in my arm all of which were carried out successfully, my hand is coming along day by day and hopefully soon I will be restoring all my functions, whilst the ball in my court now but Dr. Usama keeps following up with me and providing me emotional and medical support. Great doctor! Makes you feel at ease, very knowledgeable. Utter respect Dr. Usama for you expertise and surgical perfection.

I am claustrophobic since many years and in order to have a session of MRI I require always general anesthesia. I did 4 MRI in the last 5 years with GA. Yesterday I got a call from Dr Kawthar the head of Radiology department and I explained to her my situation with this problem. She advised me to visit the hospital next day and will try to do it first without GA. I arrived on time and she gave me some tips on how to manage my fear.
I have to say that Dr Kawthar is really very professional and down to earth. She made me feel at ease and I did not even feel that the MRI session took around 20 minuets. I thought it last only for 7 minuets. I highly advice every one who has claustrophobia to visit Dr Kawthar in Medcare spine hospital. Thank you Dr Kawthar for your help. Much appreciated. Raji

Dr Nikola is a wonderful Doctor Medcare Orthopedic & Spine hospital has. I am visiting him since the last 2.5 year, and he is simply amazing. I had an 8 year long low back of leg issue and later came to know that it’s due to low back severe disc compression at L5-S1. Dr Nikola has helped me a lot to recover my condition with all the way – suggesting continuous physiotherapy, what to take care at home, which food to eat to control weight, which movement I should do or not do, he used to find & suggest traction machine online for me. While undergoing regular treatment, one day I got fainted while walking when I was going to my coaching class and developed CES (cauda equine syndrome) one of rare syndrome and within 24 hours my Urine & Stool stop, full numbness on left seating area, right foot drop. Dr Nikola examine my condition & MRI and suggested me to immediate Micro-Discectomy before it damage further. Before Operation Dr Nikola visited me couple of times and told don’t worry everything will be all right. He operated me with micro-discectomy surgery and I came to know from his fellow Dr that he has done surgery very well & remove all the disc decompression and told me that I am very lucky. Dr Nikola used to visit me regularly post-surgery and used to tell me that don’t worry Dushyant I have done surgery very nicely and everything will be recovered and just you have to follow my suggestion – keep doing physiotherapy, remember which movement to avoid, what all things I can do home as well – He told that if you keep follow what I said then all will recover slowly – first Urine will improve – then stool issue will improve – then Right foot drop strength will improve and then last numbness issue will improve. And the same thing happened. Currently, I am recovered 90% with my urine issue, 75% right foot drop and also improved with stool issue. Still I am regularly visiting Dr Nikola and improving with my saddle anesthesia numbness in left seating & growing area, constipation and low-back mussel spams & pain.

I was sent to see Dr Ashfaq for some pain in my groins which didn't go away even after physiotherapy. We first discussed my general health then my hip symptoms, after which he conducted the impingement test to recreate my hip pain. To confirm the test results for impingement, he ordered imaging tests to help determine whether l had FAI. I went for X-rays, and some days later did an MRI scan as this was needed for better images of soft tissue. He identified damage to the labrum and articular cartilage due to a cam inpingement condition in my hip and offered me 3 options, from which l chose arthroscopy surgery. Given Dr Ashfaq's credentials, l knew l was in good hands. The staff is impeccable and the Dr is a great human being with tons of experience and knowledge. I'm now 2+ months post-surgery and in rehab. Everything is going smoothly thanks to the team at MedCare and the excellent follow-up from Dr Ashfaq (who knows all of his patients by name). I'm excited that I'll be able to run and exercise pain-free again soon.

I had recently sustained a lower back injury following a sporting event. Initially the pain was moderate and tolerable; however, by week 4, the pain had become so intense and uncomfortable, that I decided to seek a professional medical opinion. It was at this time that I had first met Dr. Nikola Vagic. It was during this initial consultation, that Dr. Nikola Vagic recommended that an MRI must be carried out to further assess my condition, and confirm what he had suspected to be a Disc issue in my lumbar area. Upon reviewing the MRI, Dr. Vagic, recommended Micro-Discectomy Surgery to be carried out as soon as possible. Dr. Vagic and the Medcare Medical staff went above and beyond to treat this as urgent, and he and the medical team assisted in expediting the process to ensure I would receive the prescribed treatment in a timely manner. Within 2 days of the MRI, my Surgery had been approved and Dr. Nikola Vagic contacted me personally to ensure that I was ready at the next available date to perform the surgery, which was great, because by this time my condition was deteriorating and the pain and discomfort was almost intolerable. So within a few days of the MRI, I received the medical attention required, and I was able to walk out of the hospital 24 hours later, with mild to moderate pain, which is amazing, considering the surgery that I had undergone just 24 hours prior.

I still remember me and my wife first meeting Dr. Amar Al Omar with cold shoulders as I was diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis of the Femor bone a week before at a different hospital. Our first interaction with Dr. Amar changed our perspective towards this condition. He not only gave us a practical approach towards facing this situation but also cited how he will be operating and resolving my issue with his expertise in London & Middle East and the latest technology at Medcare. Thus, assuring that I will be leading a normal life and carrying my daily activities of my profession as a Chef.

Under the care of Dr. Nikola Vagic, for a fracture of the radial head of the elbow. Following initial examination and diagnostic X-ray scans, the doctor recommended conservative treatment with active physio recovery, instead of surgery. This turned out to be the best option as I was healed within 4 weeks. Many other doctors would have instantly recommended surgery (plate and screw in the elbow) but Dr Vagic took the less invasive option, and for that I am very grateful.

It been a a year since my shoulder arthroscopy with Dr Ashfaq and as he said, it is indeed a life changing! That one little extra bone he shaved was holding and causing tightness in my body.thank you Dr Ashfaq for being there answering all my questions and concerns pre and post surgery and also special thanks to his assistant Marylynn who is always on top of things. I’m also glad that I stayed one night at the orthopedic hospital although I had the option not to.the rooms are really nice the beds are comfy the food was surprisingly good and last and not least the kind and professional attentive staff and nurses were superb.

Today, my 15 years old son came to hospital by walking for the MRI scanning. After MRI scanning, he is not able to walk and his knee extremely swallowed. He is not able to walk anymore and suffering strong pain. The call center promised us to maintain a call with us until 5 pm. Doctor is already left the hospital. I was willing to talk any doctor, they could not connect any doctor.

The issue is to manage 1 hour delay for MRI, we all waited for, my son had to have a 4 minutes quick scan. I do not know what will be the impact of this to my son!

If your health and time important, DO NOT GO this hospital!

I had a bad experience, went there with a very bad pain in neck shoulder and arm. They were very unorganized. Went to take my medicine from pharmacy the doctor forgot to write some medicine for me I asked the pharmacist to call or email the nurse so doctor add it to the system. He told me that I have to do it my self. So I had to walk back to the nurse she didn’t even understand what I was talking about (was talking to her in a clear English way) took me long time to explain to her as they are not used to listen to patients! Then walked back to pharmacy lost my turn in the Q. Had to Q again! The pharmacist was sticking the medicine instructions on my medicine in a very careless way I had to re arrange them my self!

It has been a wonderful experience with Dr. Barry A Mckillop. He is very kind, competent and an excellent orthopedic surgeon I have known.

I like to extent my heartfelt gratitude to him who performed my total knee replacement surgery. I would felt confident in receiving such an expert medical care under Dr. Barry’s supervision.

Dr. Barry did an amazing job with my knee surgery. He is very understanding and listens to your concerns and explained everything so clearly regarding the before and after aspects of surgery.

My surgery went smooth and I did not feel much pain. The whole process was so comfortable for me.

I would like to thank especially Sis. Reney, who gave me personal attention in understanding all my needs. She guided me like a sister throughout the surgery. I had few concerns with insurance - she even resolved insurance concerns for me. She did over and above to help me.

MedCare Orthopedic and Spine Hospital is an outstanding resource for Dubai, the UAE, and the entire Middle East. Every orderly, nurse, PT, custodial staff, administrator, and the amazing Doctors exude professionalism, kindness, and friendliness.

Good Hospital. Dr. Noora from medcare safa referred me here. Few good and the areas where they need to pay attention are:
1. Clinic team is excellent.
2. Christine the customer relations person was helpful initially but I guess he has limitations and hence could not get things done for me as I needed my reports sent to me by email.
3. The pharmacy people are great at service delivery.
4. Both the Xray technician and MRI lady technician are awesome. They are helpful, cooperative and attentive.
5. Radiology reception team is very helpful, pleasant and warm. They helped me with my reports when I personally came to collect it since Christine could not make it happen, not his fault but I guess it is his team down the line. Sonia from reception was very quick, and she assured me that in 3 minutes my reports will be ready and rightly she came out to lounge and handed over my reports. This is awesome.
6. I am overly grateful for Dr. Maram makki who was caring, listening, understanding and helpful. She is a Gem of a person. A real humanitarian.
They really need to increase the attentiveness and friendliness and helpfulness at the main reception. They need more friendly, cooperative, helpful team there who comes forward to assist patients. I felt them very cold and rigid. Guess they are stressed. They need more customer delight training.
7. Dr. Taher was excellent as he did not scare me. Nor did he packed many medicines to me. He was kind enough to explain things to me from my lab reports. I got a trust factor on him.

Areas where they need to pay attention is their main reception. They need more customer friendly, extrovert, helpful team. This is the first point of contact and needs people who are friendly and caring. This was missing. They seemed to be more stressed. They need training and coaching for sure.

Overall my experience is good barring the difficulties that Christine had in getting my reports mailed across to me and also the reception of physio who was not very attentive in listening to me while fixing appointments and the main reception team who lacks friendliness.

Overcrowded and lack of interest from all staff including doctors. Go somewhere else if you want to be listened and treated well.

Rude X-ray receptionists and orthopedics. I told the doctor I feel like my foot is getting better and I don’t need an mri when I already did an mri for my knee which was what I was concerned about. He got mad at me? It’s my body and I get to choose. You can recommend scans but I get to choose what I think is best for me. He asked me to see a physio for my knee. When I asked for a referral so I can give it to my physio. All he wrote on the paper is how I refused to do an mri for my foot? All she needed to know is what is wrong with my knee and why I need to see an physio. So disrespectful. On top of that, I waited for an hour to do an mri scan. Not sure why you schedule appointments? Not to mention that I had to wait for 10 days to book an mri.

After being told I needed to have surgery on my knee I went to see Dr Paul McNamara who advised no surgery was needed but physiotherapy. Having had physiotherapy for some time and no change in pain I was hesitant but did not want surgery. Dr Paul referred me to physiotherapist Deepak Mullasery. Deepak had worked wonders on my knee and also resolved an issue with my foot. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. I can't thank Deepak enough for his help and support.

At first this hospital was my favorite until they told me that they have a dr who refused to see me even though i was suffering with my shoulder and that bcz I had to cancel my appointment with him bcz I couldn't leave work.am so disappointed that Dr nowadays chose and decide whom to see and when to see its not about the patient anymore its about the dr needs so disappointed that Medicare as a hospital allowed this
I would never allow anyone to treat me this way decides whether or not treat me or leave me so much for drs are supposed to serve and take care of patients

My first MRI experience, it was amazing.facility was very good, very relaxing, with choice of either music or Al Quran. Dr Kouther the radiology Manager was friendly and professional.

Clear and direct consultation which lead to spinal decompression surgery. Surgery carried out very quickly and aftercare was wonderful, very caring staff, great physio staff and always under the watchful eye of my surgeon Dr Nikola Vagic. Well and try on the road to recovery.

Last week I had a bilateral bunionectomy (foot repair) by Dr Harpal. It was a great success and I am well on the road to recovery. His expertise and professionalism are very much appreciated. The hospital is well designed and has a good staff. The anesthesiologist is a knowledgeable expert, which was comforting; the operation room staff is exactly what you would hope for. I had to stay over one night, and it was a good experience. I was visited by friendly nurses, they helped me very much. The physiotherapist, Asma, literally got me on my feet. My other caretakers Erra and Sahad were kind. I wish I could list more names of friendly faces. Housekeeping and dietary were also friendly and professional, so grateful.
I am very happy Dr Harpal and MedCare Hospital were recommended to me.

Dr. Hassan did a surgery for my Mom and he was supportive and understanding. The hospital’s hygiene is excellent. The medical service/ care is above and beyond excellent. I was experiencing leg pains for some time. Instead of just doing an x-ray, Dr Vagic wisely ordered an MRI done which clearly proved stenosis. I recently underwent surgery for a ruptured PCL which I had sustained playing football. The injury is not very common, so I was concerned when looking for a reputable surgeon within the UAE who had experience in dealing with this kind of injury. Fortunately I found Dr. Ashfaq Konchwalla.he managed to perform the operation with key hole surgery, something which is rare for this type of injury, leaving minimal scarring. In addition to this he also repaired a damaged meniscus and posterolateral corner. It has now been 4 months since I have had the surgery and I am almost once again fully functional, with an expectation to return to sport in the coming weeks. The expected recovery time for this would usually be close to 9 months, however the progress I have made has been thanks to the quality of work and advice from the Dr. I would definitely recommend to anyone who has this type of injury

I had spinal surgery here in March 2020. Between the issue with my spine starting, and having surgery, was only 2 days. Dr. Vagic made me feel very comfortable with what was going to be done during my surgery, and he made me feel 100% confident he would sort out my issue no problem. Within 4 hours i was able to walk with some assistance and by the next morning i was walking fine. All the staff at the hospital were very friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much for them! The hospital was impeccably clean and the whole experience was the best i have ever had in any medical facility in any part of the world. If you ever need to go here, you will be in very safe hands.

I had spine surgery with Dr. Nikola Vagic who did an amazing job and all of my previous symptoms and pain is gone.
Dr. Nikola was also extremely helpful after surgery, it’s very reassuring having such dedicated Doctor during recovery period in hospital.
After surgery I’ve stayed in hospital for a week.
Nursing staff is professional but could be bit more engaged. They seam bit low on motivation. Food is ok.

I came for surgery on my shoulder to implant a ligament and insert a pate. I met Dr. Azzam after researching across the city and finding his experience good. He was amazing, very attentive, in depth investigation and always in contact. The surgery went well and I discharge today after only 2 days. Care in the hospital was very good. The rooms are bright and spacious and well serviced. Food was good with choices available. Overall a positive experience.

My husband had broken his back while on a quad bike. We went to see Dr Nikola Vagic and he was very professional and supportive. He’s extremely experienced and he knew exactly what needed to be done. We’re very grateful Dr Vagic. My son broke his toe last month. I didn’t even think to go to anyone else except for Dr Vagic. Today my sons cast came off and he’s as good as new. I would recommend Dr Vagic to everyone. He’s an amazing doctor and his experience is vast. Thank you Dr Vagic.

I had ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair surgery done on my left knee by Dr. Ashfaq Konchwalla. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Konchwalla. He is expert in his field and because of him surgery went smooth (with minimal pain) and so did rehab. Doctor has a great attitude and has been answering all my questions (before and after the surgery). I would definitly recommend him and Medcare Orthopedic Hospital. Thank you Dr. Konchwalla!

We had a surgery last week in this hospital and the pre-arrangement from hospital was good.

The good thing is this hospital has a strong team who can support patient in case of any need and on top of that outstanding nursing expert team.the Duty Manager arrange assist us for the entire period when we were in-patient till discharge … thank you Medcare hospital and special thanks to Dr. Thaer

Pros: if u r going to be hospitalized, facilities (room, nurses, beds etc) are great.
Cons: terrible system with doctors that dont talk to each other. Had a back pain/sciatica issue, ended up doing a microdiscectomy, and found out they treat you like production line. Zero after care, the moment surgery is done you are on your own. You have to chase docs & nurses for results, info or advice, because if they dont see easy $, they wont care. Also, if you dont have a simple issue to deal with, make sure they refer you to a doctor and NOT A SURGEON, as the latter just care about the insurance approval for an operation. 3 months down the line, I still deal with complications from all of the above, so I ll give a 0/5 if I could.

All really nice staff, neat and sanitary rooms. Food choice was excellent and overall good experience at Medcare for my surgery and recovery process. Would highly recommend Medcare.

Overall experience was very good! I am doing physiotherapy for my back recommended by Dr. Ahmed Issa in a near by and it is perfect; made by Dr. Alexandra! Very helpful and recommended!

I would highly recommend Dr. Ahsfaq Konchwalla. I had Knee fracture, loose bodies, and Patella Ligament injury. Dr Ashfaq did a repair and reconstruction surgery on my right knee. Though my case and operation was a complex one, Dr. Ashfaq has been guiding and supporting me all throughout the process, until my recovery. He addresses my concerns and questions in a very informative and concise manner. I am very grateful that Dr. Ashfaq is my doctor.

The doctors and facilities are amazing, but the most important part is not there: A great customer service journey. Please do not compromise on customer service as it is very important for the patient. I really feel bad everytime I need to contact the customer service as its quality is so poor.

Best Doctors they have, all is good staff and doctors, Only things that i dont like from them that they are delaying process like to get approvals etc. I visited 11th may and Dr.referred to physiotherapy and they said someone will call after the approval, Upon checking with insurance 13th may only they receive the requests and Insurance team replied immediately saying no need approval to process for physiotherapy, I called many time Med care to check the status and they said we got confirmation and no need approval from insurance, some one will call you from our team to schedule But until now no one contacted.so sad experience Because iam suffering from lower back pain,

they should improve customer expectation.

Our experience with the hospital was fine my son had a procedure in his leg with dr anand Gorva he’s very good experienced doctor and the staff and nurses are helpful.
Now after 1 year Dr said that the procedure has to be repeated because the clips are bending and I don’t know why? !
