Came to register my daughter for her appointment only to be told 5 minutes before her appointment that Dr Roman does not see children under 18 years old. His nurse was very rude and dismissed the situation while having the audacity to tell me it was not their problem.

Other nurses at the station sat and watched. By far the most humiliating experience besides my other two encounters with the hospital.

One being administered Voltaren for having Rhabdomyolysis in the ER and being dismissed by the Doctor who complained about the shortcomings of her husband and their life. Coming back two weeks later with swelling in my legs and demanding a urine test only to show excessive protein in the urine and having the other ER Dr ask me what I would like to do (as if I was placing an order for a shawarma of some sort). I still have issues with my kidneys, it has been 4 years.

Honestly the improvement in ER is very obvious compared to before, and Dr. Zaid was excellent at explaining everything which assured me that I was in good hands. Thank you nurse loribell also for your kindness and caring.

It's not 24/7 for external hospitals and the staff are not friendly.

We were assigned for Appointment at 7PM and asked for neither Cardiology nor endocrinology, they told us by walk in without mentioning the time. Guess what we have been there around 5: 30PM and they told us there are no Cardiology nor endocrinology after 5 PM, where the stuff that called didn't mentioned that?

The doctors at the hospital are good but the communication is the worst i have ever dealt with, i could never reach anyone over the phone and the requests for a call back are never fulfilled. It takes days to get a reply on the email and it’s all a waste of my time and no one seems to be concerned about my health! It has been over three weeks and no one is updating me on anything regarding my case!

I would like to give a very special thanks to Dr. Syed Numairi (Emergency section) he is an excellent doctor. He is that knid of doctor who works with passion. He listens and lunderstands his patients carefully. Thank you, doctor. I appreciate your hard work.

Thank you very much Dr. Zaid and Ms. Jenifer…. They took care of my wife in the emergency department. As a pharmacist, I observed the good practice and high levels of compliance and good hygiene practices. Furthermore, both had a positive attitude as if they are my family members. The Doctor and the nurse came several times to check on her. The communication level is very high. They answered our questions and they listened to us carefully. Thank you again so much for your help. Now my wife is much better.

No respect to timings and appointments and managers are always not available to complain after you they know you want to complain they call that doctor is waiting for you

Dr Kavita is an outstanding Gynecologist, she is super professional, with amazing bedside manners and her experience is obvious when she talks and explains things to you. She was on top of things throughout the pregnancy.

I was planning to have a natural delivery and she supported my decision all the way, however in the end my baby was an unstable lye and ended up breech 2 days before his due date. She acted swiftly to do a quick scan with the foetal medicine doctor to ensure she know exactly her plan of action and we went ahead with the C-section. She knew how I was not keen on epidural, so she came into the theatre early to hold my hand. And give me reassurance when they did the spinal for the procedure.
She got my baby out so quick and safely while simultaneously training students in the process, that shows the experience on her sleeves.
She also popped in to my ward every day to check in on how I was doing.

I would definitely use her again as my gynecologist and I have already started recommending her to friends and family.

Always clean and neat. Very friendly staff and doctors. Right inside the Dubai Healthcare City, and right at the exit of the Metro station.

أتمنى من ادارة المستشفى أعادة النظر في قسم الطواري الخدمة ليست بالشكل المطلوب ولا تتماشى مع سمعة مستشفى المدينة تجربتي دخلة للاستقبال الساعة 8: 30 تقريبا المساء وسالت هل يوجد تخصص اطفال اتاني الرد نعم يوجد وتم اخذ الفحوصات الازمه بالشكل المطلوب وبعدها تم ادخال الطفلة في غرفة الانتظار وبعد مرور ساعة اتاني الرد سيتم التاخير أكثر للدكتور ويوجد طبيب عام يستطيع ان ينظر الحالة ويقدم العلاج الازم وتم عرض الحاله على الدكتوره وطلبت اشعة اكس تري على الصدر نظرًا لوجود التهاب شديد في الصدر وتم اخذ الاشعة وبعدها تركة الموضوع معلق لحين حضور احد الدكاترة ولم تقم بالعلاج الازم وبعد ساعتين تقريباً حضر دكتور وكتب وصفه لمسكن الحرارة ودواء واحد فقط للاكسجين
في نهاية المطاف اضعة وقتي لديهم ولم استفد من العلاج وذهبة مكان اخر لتلقي العلاج الازم لم أكرر الحضور لهذا المستشفى بعد هذه التجربة

I chose Mediclinic City to deliver my first baby.
Dr. Kavita Goswami and her team were absolutely amazing throughout the journey. I visited her first in the 19th week when I was selecting a doctor for my deliver and I had to look no further. Dr. Kavita and her nurse Rachel were very warm and friendly and extremely professional.
The facilities at the hospital were great and my husband and I had nothing to worry about through until the deliver.
The midwife’s were also very experienced and so very friendly.

Would have given 10 starts if I could! After suffering with pain for years I finally got diagnosed with endometriosis by Dr. Kavita Goswami and received the care I needed at Mediclinic City Hospital.

Amazing hospital!
Started with Dr. Patricia kilian at the ER who was very nice, knowledgeable and comforting. Then met Dr. Preshun Chetty who was also comforting, patient with my queries and explained everything in a way i could understand and performed the procedure swiftly and made sure to check on me every once in a while!
The hospital staff were very helpful and friendly as well from the nurses to the house keeping and saff who always were smiling and always lifted my mood!
Definitely looking forward to continuing my treatment here.

This post is for the emergency department of Mediclinic City Hospital. We have been waiting for over an hour, and all that the staff has to offer is that there are no beds available. Even after getting a room, the wait for the doctor continued for another 10 minutes, when we decided to leave after much frustration.

The patient is my 15 month old baby who had not been able to eat anything since morning.
However, Mediclinic decided her case is not important enough.

The purpose of going to emergency is completely marred when one has to wait for around 90 minutes to see a doctor.

The pharmacy staff are a TOTAL LET DOWN to this exceptional establishment. They work slowly and pass blame from one to the next. It simply can not take 10 minutes for the Assistant Pharmacist to acknowledge one in front of hi as he was busier dealing with a stapling machine. Very quick to blame the insurance company (gentleman in blue shirt- expert at rolling his eyes). I will totally appreciate the lady from Admin who intervened and Michelle who was quick to process the request

Daughter was admitted for 5 days due to viral fever through emergency.

Team of nurses were wonderful and caring throughout. So were the catering staff. Food was decent too.

Checkout process was the best! Very smooth and hassle free.

**Paediatrics ward review**

The best doctor is Dr. Zubin he is well experienced and humble nevertheless
Prices is too high.

On November 2021 I had a robotic Da Vinci surgery with doctor Labib Riachi to remove all the adhesions found during my c section.
During the the robotic laparoscopic, doctor found that one of my ovary was stuck on my belly and thanks to his experience and the lates technology he managed to cut the adhesion and put my ovary back to right position without any bleeding. I am so thankful for the job done and for painless, especially because now I can look for another baby that before this surgery was absolutely forbidden due the high risk for delivery.
Today is the day after the surgery and I am able to walk and do my normal routine.

Dr. Kavita is our Obstetrician-Gynecologists Doctor, she is very well knowledgeable and experienced we felt so confident for having her to deliver our baby. She is also very friendly and understanding of our needs and priorities.

I had baby delivery in October 2021 in Mediclinic city hospital - Dubai. Just wanna tell all the mommies and those who looks in future for hospital for delivery to get stuck with Mediclinic. I'll never forget amazing experience I had with this hospital from my pregnancy lead with Dr Amal Aburawi (who I'm in love with, as a talented, professional, knowledgeable doctor) to delivery itself with midwifes and nurses. Absolutely all ward is so educated and up to highest standards, they have answers to all queries and questions I was just impressed. Hospital itself is pleasant place to come, very clean and stress free as you can be sure here you'll receive the best quality care of your health!

Our Worst experience with Med clinic City Hospital, the team not friendly and rude nurse especially in Neurology department.
We visited the Doctor more than 3 months now and hospital took approval from the insurance and it was approved and until this moment we are waiting for them to give appointment for my husband to do the scan.
We did many follow up and calls and every time will inform us that Nurse will call back and it is never happen.
Also we complained by call and in their website and even no one come and checked the reason, really so miserable service and I can say that the management very bad and they don’t deserve to be in medicine field.

I had a terrible experience here with Cardiologist Dr. Thomas Bartel. No one in my life has disrespected me as much as he did in this area. He raised his voice at me when I was very sick, told mewhat I was doing was '' kind of crazy '', refused to share a comment on the MRI he requested unless I went there for an appointment. Insulted me many times and the list goes on.

Love this hospital.all stuff is very kind, results come out quickly, always on time with mybappointment with best dr. Bahaldeen Laz, never have I waited more than 5 min.highly recommended

A reliable and excellent hospital. Dr Britt Clausson is an advocate for her patients when they can’t be, she really cares so much. I cannot begin to mention all the Kind staff working there but there is a lot of empathy towards patients and a culture of responsibility. Thank you City Hospital!

Extremely horrible service. They do not even provide you with QR code!
QR codes are necessary to travel which they seem to have no idea about. All they sent was a text without even my name in it. Very rude service.

I had a very good experience with Dr. Labib. He was friendly and made me feel comfortable immediately. He is a real expert in robotic assisted surgery and explained everything very well. Due to the use of this advance technology I recovered quite quickly even after a large fibroid removal.

Mediclinic City Hospital is providing excellent service as the usual Mediclinic standard. The facility is old but service is very much up to the level.

I visited Dr. Richard Jones - GP this evening after a bad experience in other clinic. I was impressed by his willing to help attitude and professional medical knowledge.

The consult is very thorough and you can see the clear criteria that he is following. I used to work with an American Hospital so I’m familiar with those standards.

He explained to me exactly what will happen next, when to do the labs and what will happen with the referral orders. His nurse is also being very supportive.

I’d highly recommend Dr. Richard if you need assistance from Family Medicine/ Primary Care.

The worst reception and admin staff are in this hospital in the dermatology department. I had my appointment at 12 (booked 2 weeks ago, cause it’s hard to find a spot) and then they decide to let someone else infront of me without any appointment.

On top of that they don’t have enough parking and if you want to do valet parking they only accept cash.

Information desk is Unprofessional,

1) No Meet and Greet At all! The only word they have to meet and greet is - (YESS!) and no eye contact at all.
2) Not approachable At All
3) Don’t have enough info about their services,
4) Miss guiding clients to different places, (which is bringing a more problem to the patient)
5) Not Helpful with clients needs. And very rude when they talk to the patient.
6) Not approachable At All.
During the 20 minutes of my staying next to the Desk and waiting my friend coming from the doctor i have observed this issues in the information desk.

Another example of a hospital who would let people rather die than losing one single penny. Patients and their concerns are the least of their priorities, it is more important to explore on how much money they can take from the patients insurance to enrich themselves. I hope the government takes action on this kind of business practices soon and starts sanctioning hospitals for putting patients second. First and last time patient.

I did the pcr test using the drive thru.its fast and the results are fast but then the update is al hossn apps is takes time.like in other clinic the do it at the same time.why mediclinic can not do it? I will never do the pcr again in mediclinic so much delay like i waited in the al ain boarder for so long time

I went to see dr ibrahim gyno who wasn’t helpful at all along with his assistant. They said i need to do some tests however they never called me back or even emailed me to do them. They don’t care at all about patients which is sad and disappointing from a DR

The worst hospital with the WORST customer service, their attitude is "If you die, who cares". I have been in the emergency at 11am and sent home without them providing me my blood results. They gave me an appointment 3 days LATER, which I refused and asked for my blood results to go to another hospital, which has doctors available. After 12 hours and 10 calls to the hospital with them each time promising me they will spend a precious minute of their time to send me the email sill NOTHING. Its so sad and infuriating, taking into account that it was the emergency makes it even worse. I have many more stories to tell, but my advice just stay away and go to a smaller hospital where they actually care for their patients!

UPDATE: The doctor told me to stop the antibiotic, finally after 12 hours the results come and it turns out its infection and noone called to let me know!

Had a surgery at Mediclinic in Dec 2020 which went with difficulty. I'm grateful to Doctor Jameel Akrash and his team for professionalism and handling the unpredicted situation on a very high level. In addition to being professional as a medical staff Dr. Jameel and the team treat the patients with humanity, sharing care and attention which so important when one is sick. A big thank you to the entire Mediclinic team including nurses, security, admin support, and of course Dr Jameel.

I visited Mediclinic on March 31st. I had three appointments in a row. Even though I reached the clinic 30min before my first appointment but the first dr visited me with almost half an hr delay (because of an emergency patient). I requested The dr’s nurse to contact my second appointment’s dr which was Dr. Amal Aburawi and inform her my delay. She said she will. But apparently she didn’t.once I reached the Obs/ Gynaecology department, Dr. Amal Aburawi refused to visit me because I was 20min late! They said I need to reschedule my appointment. This is while I was traveling and rescheduling wasn’t an option for me. They made me stressed a lot and at the end Dr. Amal accepted to visit me. She had such an attitude that I didn’t even feel like to share my problem. Very uncomfortable! The entire visit took maybe less than 2min. She wrote an ultrasound for me and never got back to me to inform me about the results (what usually mediclinic doctors do! Better to say dubai mall branch doctors do!) On April 15th I contacted Mediclinic and requested for a call from the doctor for the results. The Nurse called and said She can only share the results if you come for a follow up visit. I’m already out of country and they know it!
I’m a patient of Mediclinic Dubai Mall and visited city hospital branch only for Dr. Alexandra Economacos which is the best. But overall, City hospital branch disappointed me! NO ORGANIZATION! Staff have an attitude, as if they’re doing you a favor doing their job, they put no effort to help or even listen, they hardly smile! I had an issue with their radiology department as well which made me transfer to Dubai Mall for my test! Not only this, they have two buildings with no convenient passage between the buildings! My first and last appointment were in one building and the 2nd appointment in the other building. They have even closed the shortcut door which means you have to walk around the two buildings to exit one and enter the other. Imagine how difficult this is inDubai heat and my appointments were between 12-2pm.the only thing that might bring me back is Dr. Alexandra Economacos who is really professional in what she does, she is the best in Radiology, plus she knows how to comfort you, listen to you and explain everything.otherwise my overall experience in City hospital was SUPER BAD, NOT RECOMMENDED! Not even close to their Dubai Mall branch.
If you ever decide to visit Mediclinic, visit Dubai Mall branch and feel the difference. They are kind, helpful, they do follow up on you, they CARE!

The true test of quality of any facility is when it operates at capacity. No doubt this is one of the premium Healthcare facilities, but more recently it has become overcrowded and inefficient. You see queues everywhere, at radiology, at pharmacy and at entrance! When taking appointments you upload Emirates id only to be provided again on signing in. Although it's a hospital but many polyclinics in Dubai have far better parking facilities. Some even offer free valet parking. Unlike a true premium facility, the hospital is making money on parking. It's basement parking is cramped and almost always full with frequent double parked cars blocking way. The adjacent parking lot is another revenue making arm of hospital as they charge hefty charges for people coming in for health. Such is a way this hospital makes money. It really needs to invest in quality and spacious parking facilities consistent with its image.
Also to avoid queues at every entry point, it needs to make things more efficient.

Never go there it’s a very bad clinic! You will just get problem they don’t care about you.
I ask since yesterday to send me the PDF of my covid test because i have a flight and because they put the wrong details but they do want to send it to me, they just say, wait until the evening.

My son's pediatrician, Dr. Fadel, refused to see my son, (14 month old), because his temperature was 39.2°C. DR. Fadel's policy is not to see any patient with temp. 38 + or if the patient is coughing! But my son had no cough! It was so unethical! What are doctors for if we can't find them when most needed! So we just go when our kids are fine and they suck the money out of our insurance! Is that ethical! Definitely not going back. I would give -10 rate

The worst hospital to do your PCR TEST, they do not send the result to you on email hence DO NOT do the test here if you are flying and need the result with in 24hours.

Pharmacy at Mediclinic City Hospital is a mess! They give you a serving number but they don't serve patients/customer in this order. I was patiently waiting for my number to be called but the numbers after me were served before me. I heard the staff saying that they serve whoever gets insurance approval first, so i told the staff at prescription drop off that i will pay instead coz i've been waiting for half an hour! He told me to wait just a bit coz they probably already got the approval. Soon enough my number was called by a pharmacist who just came back from his lunch. I remember being serving by the same person on my previous visit there, so i asked him if they are serving according to insurance and he confirmed my hunch. The staff at the prescription was actually lying to me about waiting for insurance approval, when in fact, i was made to wait while the pharmacist in charge of serving my insurance is on his lunch break! Can't they at least inform patients this so we can decide if we should wait or not? ! It was a complete waste of time because you didn't even have sufficient stock of the medicine i require! Now i understand why one customer was shouting his lungs off your pharmacist! And i thought he was just being impatient.

Worst hospital services. After lab tests there is no update on the report and when called number of times nobody replied properly at Health care city branch.

I booked an appointment with Dr. Kavita on feb 10 at 3: 30 pm in the gyn department for the first time i went for the appointment reached and informed the receptionists in the front desk and actually told both of them about the Dr name and my appointment and they told me to check in in the other front desk which i did it took around 2-3 mints to check in then went back to the receptionist again informed her that i checked in so she told me to wait and that I would be addressed by the nurse who was right at the same desk. I waited for around 10-15 minutes. Suddenly the dr left her office went to the same receptionists that i twice informed about my appointment and the Dr told them she is done and left by the time i realised that was the Dr i was supposed to meet she left already. I went back to ask if the dr who just left was my Dr they told me coldly the Dr left and that was the mistake of the receptionist who did the check in! And that the Dr assistant nurse was not informed! Absolutely disappointing and unprofessional! And only because I insisted to be seen at once as I drove for an hour to make it to the appointment and took a permission from work they referred me to the Available specialist.

I've been calling for countless number of times, few days in a row for an appointment with radiology team.
They are not picking up their phone.
I called the main line and let them know about that but they were not really helpful. All they said is that they will let them know, so they can call me back. Extremely unprofessional.

Horrendous service and so disrespectful of patient time. I had an appointment at 9am and said I had to leave by 10: 15. The doctor was triple booked, and wasn’t even there! By 10: 30 I left having seen no one.

Dr Heiki Jacobs at Mediclinic is the absolute worst and most incompetent doctor I have ever come across in my life! My brother had a simple case of Shingles which she could not diagnose and instead gave him steroids which made his condition 100 times worse. He was throwing up and having hallucinations and his pain was unbearable. This hospital and this doctor must be held accountable and the doctor needs to have her license revoked IMMEDIATELY!

I delivered both my children at the City Hospital and we also frequently visit for paediatric and other services. Both deliveries went smoothly, kudos to dr. Ghada al Batran, a very caring lady. Dr. Nakib pediatric surgeon also excellent, as well as Dr. Balaji, pediatric gastroenterologist. Nurses were also quite attentive and I appreciate their breastfeeding class. I find it incredible though that they have no cold water in the showers during summer (apparently no water chiller) so I couldn't take proper shower in my room for the four days I was there because the water was too hot. Furniture could be more comfortable given how much they charge. Also, physiotherapist who is typically very valuable after C section only came in to give me a paper with exercise instructions rather than helping to relieve the pain and helping me move around.

Easy booking and rescheduling if needed, with superb, swift care in the emergency room for my baby. Highly recommended is Dr. Joanna Mulder, the best OB GYN I have ever encountered as well as very good post visit follow up calls from Dr. Richard Jones. The facilities are clean and welcoming. This is definitely my hospital of choice in the UAE for all of my family needs. Over the years, we’ve seen ENT’s, Cardiologists, Pediatricians, Dermatologists and a Gastroenterologist. The delivery with Dr George was amazing he was the best and every one in the rOom where grEat but after that the nurses some of them where so rude and wasnt really good especially helping you with feeding and help you with breast feed was worst
Also i called to get the results for my new born they said nurse will call or email noting

Karen Lloyd (at the emergency) is the worst nurse i have ever dealt with; she is absolutely incompetent. In general, the staff is not too friendly and do not explain to you as much unless you raise doubts in public.

Thank you City Hospital! I was discharged from hospital after five night stay in maternity and post natal wards. This was my most pleasant hospital stay ever in my life despite some medical complications I had.
Upon admission to emergency i was escorted to maternity ward and was taken care of diligently for a few hours after which it was decided I should be admitted. Dr Rehela was on duty and was very communicative and managed the case with my gyn on phone.
In maternity ward I was taken care of by a group of amazing housewives and nurses: , Daniella, Mia, nouhad, Nedaa, Emma and many others that I fail to remember! Dr Sameh was in charge of anesthesia and he was most amazing. Dr baha was oncologist and was on top of things. Coordination between group of physicians involved was highest (my two surgeons were affiliated with city hospital and not on its staff). Communication with me was also very transparent. They all took care of me and my baby for two days after which I was transferred to post natal ward. Nurses in post natal ward were responsive and showed competency as well!
Beyond competency and compassion of medical staff, I was amazed by their baby friendly policies, including support provided for nursing moms and babies. This was outstanding.
We did face one billing issue during discharge and this was escalated to a manager who will update us on this. My review will be updated with details and outcomes of this accordingly.

The emergency there is the worst. They will just give you any medicine and they will never call you to communicate the test results. This is what they did with my 3 years old daughter. The doctor decided to give my daughter antibiotics without waiting for the culture test results. She said if the results is positive, she has to take the antibiotics for 7 days and if it’s negative she takes it for 5 days. Guess what! They never called to communicate the results and I kept on calling them more than 3 times everyday to know the results and they just said, someone will call you. I took my daughter to another clinic and we got the culture test results in 10 minutes.

I highly recommend Dr. Andrew McCombe (ENT), extremely helpful and professional throughout my treatment. Went above and beyond on numerous occasions and provided excellent care and results. He is supported by Nurse Ruby who was very organised and helpful as well.

I called many times (04 - 435 9999) to get an appointment for radiology. Very weird experience. One employee was very helpful (Justin) and understood all my requirements. After that call only weird experience. The lady calling back hang up.saying that she has to refer my inquiry for an appointment for radiology to another department. I never received a call from someone else. I called again the main number.and the person I talked to did not really understand, did not take my number or name, transferred me and I ended up in endless waiting.until I hang up. 3 times I have been not able to leave a message although the recording said so.but nothing was recorded. Another number I called 04 4359626 had a recording (! Again!) which also ended in telling me I can leave a message. This time I succeeded. But no one calls back!

I have today been requesting an appointment via email. Let's see if this is working.

Shocking. I called the number, you get 4 minutes of non-stop adverts, in both English and Arabic. Absolute irrelevant nonsense. Someone finally answered and transferred me to a voicemail where there was no option to leave a voicemail! I'm now listening to the adverts again.

Amazing staff in all sections specially in Bldg 35, very professional and helpful, you don’t feel they do their job but they treat you as Vip, special thanks to cancer center nurses and Doctors, Chemo ward nurses and radiologists. I recommend this hospital for everyone if you can cover the expenses as they are the best.

Would not give one star to Gastro Dept In Mediclinic

I was suffering from 3 months for severe stomach ache & was referred to visit him (Dr Rahul Nathani)

After doing all tests & medication & Colonoscopy I was told I think we have to remove your gall bladder as I feel as all tests are normal only option was to remove gall bladder
My fatty meal test was Normal - mind you.
Requested me to Meet a surgeon for surgery but I did not.
I flew to India to show best Gastro & it was found I was allergic to some food & I totally stopped & I am perfect from more than a year

If I had removed my bladder & pain continued than what!

I was referred to City Hospital after visiting Symbiosis Medical Centre on 7th Jan. I was in Dubai on holiday visiting son and his family. I was suffering with very high blood pressure and other symptoms. The service I received was excellent. All staff acted very professionally and did everything to reassure me. I would like to especially mention Dr. Ramna Abdurahman who was so kind and understanding. Numerous tests were carried out and thankfully nothing majorly was detected. The prescribed medication helped and luckily I was able to travel back to the UK as planned on Friday 10th. Luckily I was not due to fly out on the Sat as the airport was flooded then!

I should also thank the staff at the emergency reception who received the forms from my travel insurance company and arranged for them to be faxed back so promptly.

I have been seen by a doctor since returning home and my condition is being closely monitored now.
