This is the worst experience in my life what I am facing.
I imitated for vaccination of my daughter yesterday through pharmacy and OPD and both got rejected without any reason. I tried to contact on 24/7 helpline number for 3 hours, but no response. Today morning I called 3 time to your helpline and every time I have to explain 30 minutes history of my case, and seems the phone attenders are untrained and unaware of the procedures.

Now I need to know whether you are approving the vacation or not.
I am also going the information to HR for this issue and advise them to cancel the policy for all the staff in the company. This is really horrible experience in my life.

Worst worst worst, be careful choosing this insurance company, they just keep declining and asking for reports and even you gave all the reports they will still refuse and inform you not cover been 4 days keep back and forth for all this declining and always advicing please inform pharmacy to call us.

(p.s we have to pay taxi how many times to go and back to Clinic and Pharmacy)

Expect that most of your claims/medical requests will be REJECTED.

They rejected my mammogram despite not having any pre-existing conditions.

They also don't pay back full claims like they should.

They reject medical requests over technicalities that are not stated or shown to the customer in their policy.

I had also been told by several doctors that Mednet is the worst.

STAY AWAY! DON'T BUY or RENEW!

I'd give them a NEGATIVE RATING if I could. They don't deserve 1 star even.

WORST ever medical insurance! I have previously tried 4-5 health insurance companies but my experience with Mednet has been horrible. Eventhough my network is Gold but I never get approval for the most basic tests and their customer service is purely pathetic and slow! NEVER AGAIN

The worst insurance, they don’t care about the patients at all. I had out of nowhere very bad health condition and doctor sent them the reports for surgery approval - they asked the same questions several times which caused constant back and forth and delay with my surgery. I asked my friends who had similar surgery with less expensive plan and it was approved for them, however mednet is super stingy and careless, while their plans are expensive. Don’t ever go with them, if you don’t want to die in this country because of careless useless health insurance.

Worst insurance ever. They find all kind of excuses and reasons to reject your request. They even call miscarriage/abortion a non emergency situation and they asked you to handle it by yourself. They are disrespectful and they only care to take your annual fees but when it comes to cover as per insurance policy, they refuse.

This is the worst insurance we ever had, they are literally so bad, hard to express using words. We have been to the hospital 15 days ago, got the prescription procedures, they can't approve it still. After we called, they just told that they are bouncing the request here and back with the hospital. Absolutely useless company, doesn't think about people at all.

MedNet is one of the WORST insurance provider, I have purchased full medical insurance policy worth of 3800 AED. When it came to approve and cover medical expenses non of tests were approved submitted by doctor. I had to go through pain full days while waiting for insurance approval.

And worst part is that these tests never got approved and I had to cover all medical expenses.

I would not recommend MedNet even to my worst enemy.

Do not use MEDNET! Thru any reseller. They are horrible, they reject claims based on false pretense or find excuses and do not communicate. I have sent complaints to the local authorities and they don’t even respond to them. Next step is legal notice and a case.

The worst insurance and customer service. I am pregnant and this is my first time being pregnant. The insurance package covers maternity, I was waiting for 3 hours in the hospital for approval. Then we went home and it has been two days still waiting for approval. We tried calling them, they are not picking up. We tried chatting on WhatsApp, the agent leaves the chat when mentioning the issue.

These are scammers and we need to file complaint to police against them.

The worst experience for us ever. My son is 5 years old. He entered the emergency room in the hospital with severe asthma. We stayed there for two nights. When the doctor ordered him to be discharged, the approvals of this respected insurance took 24 hours, during which my son remained in the hospital for no reason. We called and asked them to solve the issue, but each person answers in a different way the other person. As a mother, I will not remain silent about my right and the right of my sick son.
In general, I do not recommend this insurance at all.

Wrost experince ever.
As per plan pregnancy is coverd but they will not approved medicine which is required for pregnancy successfullness.appriciate it.
Now you will tell me you are not insurance company then stop dealing with them.
We were in emergency and they took 3 and half hours to approve addmission to hospital, while all the reports were attached and patient is pregnant too.life on risk.

Worst Insurance. As they reject most the test request last year by telling that those are existing Condition and are not covered, we went to doctor for first time for those conditions and was never diagnosed before.

Now New quotation is doubled priced and telling us that this because usage of last year.

Further for they double the price for my child also as it is connected to my wife insurance. Completely Black Mailing!

This review is solely for Ms. Fatima & Mr. Mohammed and Dr Zahrolin. They are understanding and listen to your problem and try and find a solution. The provider does have some hiccups but with such individuals who are out there to help you, the wait is worth it. I do hope the processes become easier in due time and they don't have any further system issues but Mednet has been good overall. Thank You.

Should be called rejection insurance instead of medical insurance. I have gold insurance from them and since day one they haven't approved any medicine and when the pharmacy tries to call them to understand the reason of the rejection no one ever picked the phone. From all the medical insurance providers that I have worked with this is the worst insurace provider.

Sharing my experience - When the insurance was sold to me, their agents convinced me it is the best insurance provider, however, my recent experience with them has been the other way round. They didn't approve a medicine that costs roughly 5 AED, however, other medicines on the same prescription was approved - Strange and bizarre because the same medicine which they disapproved now was approved two weeks earlier by them. It is one of the main medicines for my condition. What a joke! Its shameful that inspite of having my meds fully covered, I am now having to pay for it. I tried contacting their approvals team on phone and waited for 40 minutes approx to understand the reason but no one answered, it was just on waiting. Disgraceful really!
Second recent experience, I had an overseas accident and I put a claim to recover the money I spent. Right from the beginning I had sent them all documents and kept them informed of every event, yet they did not settle my full claim and paid me roughly 22% only. I informed them that I do not agree with the settlement and that someone needs to explain me how they arrived at the settlement - no one bothered to call me. I am definitely not renewing with them, rest is up to you who is reading this experience of mine. Good luck!

Worst insurance ever! Approvals take for ever even after the hospital/doctor provides all required documentation. The call never goes through their call center and when it does, they give incorrect information and keep tossing patients between the hospital and the insurance company. Horrible experience with Mednet. I will not renew with them and suggest everyone else also opts for other insurance service providers!

The majority of the claims are getting rejected without any valid reason. "even though after submitting the reimbursement form they need investigation & medical reports etc.and always will find an excuse not to pay your claim amount.

The worst Health Insurance Company ever! First of all when you call them they do not answer for 1/2 hour and then the staff are soooooo rude and impolite and unprofessional.

Very bad experience when you go to the clinic coz Mednet takes minimum 2 hours to approve in the meantime you are sitting in the clinic dying of pain but they don’t care. Even the doctors in the clinics have rated Mednet as the worst health Insurance company. God help those who take their insurance.

Extremely poor service and a horrible medical insurance. Mednet is not an insurance company but a money making mechanism than taking care of patients basic medication needs. They delay or deny any test or medication stating baseless excuses.
It take ages to get to their call center and the agents are really rude. To be honest they are a shame for healthcare sector in UAE!

I'm a social media influencer, my son has been tested and diagnosed with high levels of lead and mercury by his doctor in UAE. My daughter has same symptoms, lead and mercury inflict behaviour problems in children I'm sure you know.

The WORST Insurance! Even you will be under life threatening conditions, they won't bother to assist at all. They have their own fabricated stories without any proof. Even the doctor wrote a letter to pursue surgery, they won't bother at all! We all have proofs of the diagnosis and a COMPREHENSIVE PLAN bought. They won't approve.

This business should be closed and never given a license. All the bad reviews are for real! We experience it. We are already in our 10th attempt!

They are just putting the patient lives in danger. Our doctor knows how this insurance play the game! We won't stop and file a dispute in the Insurance Authority! Many people are dismayed because of this Insurance scam!

The thing is they can't even put any basis to what they are mentioning. I hope it wont happen to your staff or your family! Karma is real!

Mednet is one of the reliable and reputed Insurance company which handles customer inquiries wisely.
I was recently denied a reimbursement by their team which should not have been. When followed logically with them (Ms Fathima) they accepted to reimburse.

I chose to go with MedNet.this was the worst decision i ever made honestly run away from them there’s a lot of insurance company away better then MedNet, poor customer service, poor approval department they don’t care about you they only focusing on finding a away to not to take your responsibility.i was under NextCare before and I’m regretting leaving them even Alco is a way better then them. I wished that i can give you less then 1 star

Unfortunately with complete utter dismay, I won't be recommending MEDNET to anyone who is a novice and confused with what insurance provider to select here in the UAE.

When you enter into a contract with a provider the real test comes when there is a real medical need and only then are you exposed to the duration of their approval process, competency of staff's integrity and their empathy skills.

Unfortunately I was diagnosed with a medical disorder which left me unable to walk due to a severe swelling on my knee. After visiting the doctor and running initial tests, I was advised to start on immediate medication to reduce the inflammation on my leg in order for me to resume mobility and pain. For me this was a first, as I have never had any joint ailments in the past. So I hand in my prescription at the approved pharmacy around 6.50 pm on a Thursday evening. I am told to wait for approval.

Both myself and the pharmacist who noted I was in pain and barely able to stand tried to contact Mednet several times and no one answered the phone, we finally got through after 40 minutes only to be told that the insurance company has rejected my claim it will be reevaluated after a form is completed by the doctor. I managed to return to the clinic and catch the doctor before he left for the weekend at 8.00 pm. The doctor completed the form and I returned to the pharmacy to submit.

In the meantime I was in touch with several agents including an agent named: 'Ren' via their mobile app. After the confusion of not receiving the completed report and later receiving it I was assured that it would be given priority after I told them I am in extreme pain and just want to go home with my medication. Ren told me it would take anywhere between 10-15 minutes for approval.

I made more than 10 attempts to get in touch with them during the last hour before the pharmacy closed at 9 pm for the evening, the pharmacist too tried many times to call and no one answered their phones. So much for their toll free number, that you'll be lucky when they answer. The pharmacist told me frankly that this is the worst insurance company to deal with and guaranteed you will not get your approval tonight their minimum approval process after submitting the medical report is 24 hrs. Now this made me panic, I was already in pain, I tried in vain to explain my situation to Ren again during another chat on the app, I also told him the pharmacy will close for the weekend at 9 pm and won't reopen before Saturday after initially telling me that they have escalated the matter to their so called, medical officer.

As the clock ticked away, and I made other attempts to know the status ion my request, Ren then completely started to ghost me and didn't bother replying to any of my further pleas for help.

The pharmacy staff got me a chair and offered me water, and waited with me past their closing time until 9: 20 pm trying in vain to contact the insurance company in my presence but no one bothered to answer their phones.

Moral of the story - I was extremely unwell, in pain and alone. I never got my medicine last night thanks to this so called MEDNET insurance company whom I thought were credible and the pharmacy closed.

Save yourself future tears and do not sign up with them, there are many others on the market who need the business and will genuinely care to your needs when your in need.

I am really happy about the service MedNet UAE offers to me, I really hate waiting in queues to receive my medication in the hospital, I use RAHTAK digital tool to deliver my medication to my home. Also I follow up all my requests status through pre-authorization tracker whenever I have a request that require approval.

For the record, the call center agent mute themselves in the middle of the conversation pretending there is an issue with the phone in order to not be able to assist.

DON'T GET THIS INSURANCE. Worst insurance I've ever had in the UAE. They keep rejecting any authorization or claims for many times hoping that you will give up and forget about it. There is ZERO health care, it's pure business and way to make money for them. My doctor advised an urgent surgery for my and they rejected it 4 or 5 times without being considerate of my medical condition and the complications that happened due to the delay. This is not the first time they do this for me. They did the same cheap technique and rejected an MRI request for 5 times even though it's covered in my policy. Don't trust your health ever with this insurance.

Just a brilliant experience during these challenging times. MedNet directed me straight to a clinic who provided a teleconsultation and as the email with my prescription was sent to me MedNet sent me a link to have the medication delivered straight to my home. The medication was approved in under 30 seconds - very happy.

I am also facing same problem as others. Rejecting even simple tests for the kids. Most of the hospitals in their network list doesn't recognize them and when we submit our claim, MEDNET makes all possible deductions even for hospitals mentioned in their network list. Insane!

First of all I dont even want to give even one star to people. My husband is having a insurance from mednet which is silk road which has much benefits compared to basic insurance and also cost is more than 2 times of basic insurance. The First time my husband visited doctor they did not approve the prescription because they did not know patient history and they requested a medical form. Second time he visited was 4 days back they requested medical form again because it was new condition, after submission of form they aproved medicine and few testes were done. Now once test report has arrived and they can see each and every details in report based on report the doctor has prescribed new medicine and they are not ready to approve they need doctor to fill a new medical form. Each time u consult a doctor they need doctor to fill medical form. The pharmacist and doctors are so irritated just because of the requirements. They even say the basic medicines are not getting approved it's been more than 2 days we need to call them again and again and check for status and still the customer service people are so arrogant they are fed up with customer complaints and they just give so many excuses to prove that the mistake is from doctor bcz there is no required details they infact give stupid excuses. We have paid Aed 1700 for the insurance but every time we have pay for the prescribed medicine there was no benefits from the insurance. They fool people with the benefits before u buy the insurance once u buy them they do not approve anything. Please do not trust them they are just here to make money and cheat people. Please use diffrent insurance there are many diffrent insurance who provide good benefits in basic plan.

In the incident I am experiencing currently that they are doubting the decision and advise of specialist doctors and by this they are delaying the process of healing the patient. I had this insurance last year 2018-2019 and they were ok, the company would approve services with some difficulties but eventually we would get the care we needed, I renewed for the next year 2019-2020 and it has just been a nightmare! They are not approving anything, even basic services, I ask to speak to managers on the phone & I am informed I will be called back in 30 minutes (it has been 7 days & I am still waiting for a callback from a manager called Mark). I have been hours on the phone trying to just get for example Physiotherapy (which my insurance clearly covers). I will not be renewing for the following year. It should not be this hard when you pay a lot of money for the insurance.

If you do not want to suffer from a nervous breakdown and save yourself or your company a lot of money, please DO NOT choose Oreint Mednet. YOU WILL END PAYING yourself rather than being in pain especially if it is for your child. They will do their best to reject your approval.asking for further reports and justifications, Ideologies etc and after weeks, you love yourself and pay.
