If you’re looking for a vet then look no further, after shuffling around a few vets I felt right at home the moment I walked in the Modern vet hospital is top-notch! The doctors and staff are incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate. They always take the time to listen to my concerns and answer any questions I have. The facilities are clean and well-equipped, and I never have to wait long for an appointment. I’ve personally dealt with Dr Patric and Dr Rami and they are both equally wonderful - friendliest most well informed vets I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.the entire staff is on point and so is the whole vibe of the place. Our doggy is very ill. The doctors and staff are great and they are doing their best to save him. We are very grateful to all of them.

My cat Hojicha was taken to Modern Vet Hospital by my parents in an emergency a couple of days ago as he fell off the balcony and we have had an absolutely head-spinning experience.
1. The JVC branch told us to rush to Al Wasl for further tests. The doctor in the Al Wasl branch said the cat looks fine but they'll keep him overnight to do the prescribed tests anyway
2. The same night my dad (who is 72!) asked them if they could help him book a taxi as he can't figure out how to, they simply said they cannot help. Shame.
3. The next evening, the cat was kept for another night, to sedate him and x-ray his jaw the next morning, and because he hadn't passed urine yet, which is a cause of concern, but otherwise we were assured everything is fine.
4. Yesterday we were told it might be best to extract his chipped tooth in case the cat starts to experience discomfort later, but also that it wasn't an emergency so we can take him home and do the procedure later. The cat is eating perfectly fine and so we did prefer to take him home.
5. We paid for and were told to administer Meloxicam 0.5ml every morning on an *empty stomach*. This morning when we were about to give our cat the medicine, we saw that we were only given what appeared to be empty syringes. Upon numerous calls and messages to the facility, we were told that the syringes contain 0.1ml and to make sure the cat is NOT on an empty stomach. Why was the dosage given to us different from what was printed on the prescription and why the contradicting advice on empty stomach?
6. AED 600 balance is left towards us as the clinic was very quick to charge us downpayment, but when it came time to refund the balance, we were told they don't have any cash and have to go collect it from JVC? Why? Why should we have to go to JVC now, why is the money not simply being refunded to the mode of payment (Apple Pay) if the clinic didn't have cash?
7. And the cherry on top: as soon as we came home we noticed that the cat is very visibly LIMPING! Why was this limp not diagnosed and treated? Now we are taking him to our regular vet.
VERY VERY unhappy.

Edit: I must mention though that the service from Dr. Horicio, Dr. Fatima, Dr. Reem and thenurseshas been very considerate. Dr. Horicio even called after Hojicha got discharged, to check up on him.

My Maltese dog had an accident and needed orthopedic surgery of her left leg. Dr Laciano scheduled surgery after the appointment and rescheduled some vaccination appointments. He was very confident with his diagnosis. Surgery went off well and now she has to heal. I am so thankful

I only go here because of Dr Horacio and have been doing so for well over a decade. He’s competent, compassion and caring and he’s been with me and my animals through their lives and even end-of-life scenarios. Truly a jewel of a human being and an excellent vet. He makes Modern Vet worth the visit and price

Dr Christina is a great vet, she’s very good with the animals and clearly cares about their well being. She is very thorough during her examinations and actually takes the time to do a proper all around check of the pets condition. I always feel very comfortable knowing that my furbaby is in good hands when we see her

Doctor Luciano was very gentle to a dog, showing professionalism and care. We were lucky to have a consultation and be reassured that nothing to worry a lot.

As much as I am grateful to their service but the whole system is a mess. Very weak management. The whole experience is far from professional. From lack of information flow, to lack of follow, to messed up invoices.

I have nothing but great things to say about Modern Vet Clinic. After I took my rescue cat to another clinic (and was almost scammed) I then brought her to Modern Vet and they did all the necessary tests and assured me she would be fine. They were so gentle and kind with my cat and took time to explain everything thoroughly. I’ve taken her to 3 different doctors at Modern Vet and all of them had the same level of care and compassion. I trust this clinic and the doctors blindly.

Cannot thank Dr. Luciano and Dr. Tetiana enough for the treatment of a poor stray cat I brought in after being hit by a car.
His chances of surviving were minimal as he was in the most horrific state. Yet with their expertise and love, he is now thriving. Geneva and I appreciate you.

Worst medical care in Dubai.they almost killed my cat.i have visited modern vet clinic for an emergency as my cat had watery Diarrhea and lost appetite. Dr Farouk and the team has examined the cat and mentioned she might have a gastro problem that needs him to run blood tests and x-rays to diagnose.they insisted we pay a huge initial deposit of aed 3500.through the night and days of hospitalization, we haven’t received any updates as promised although we called many times to check. 2 days later, we have been informed that the cat now is in excellent health as she is eating well and the diarrhea stoped giving us the treatment to continue at home without been given any clear diagnosis other than she might have been exposed to a detergents at home or an infection.cat didn’t seem fine at all but we trusted the professional medical opinion of the center.a day later we observed the cat and noticed that loss of appetite, diarrhea and hard breathing is present.we took her to a credible doctor to know that her lungs are completely infected and that she might not make it.the ugly part that all tests run by modern vet were unnecessary when all a basic tests that could have led to a diagnosis were not run.discharging her in this condition if anything proves the irresponsibility unreliability and dishonesty of the (professionals) to whom we in-trusted a soul. Cat was blue, breathless and in pain and all they cared for was money giving her totally irrelevant antibiotics and treatments made her much worse.i truly hope no one goes through this horrific experience so be ware of whom you intrust your beloved children with. I pray my cat makes it through the night.

Had such a pleasant visit today, Dr. Tatiana was amazing as usual and Rubie, the staff at the counter was so helpful. Another successful visit to the vet!

I can always trust Dr Luciano is gonna give the best care to my cats and the rate for him is 5 stars, the clinic in general it is clean and service is ok but the prices are overinflated. I brought 2 cats the same time and I got charge for 2 consultations, a PCR that would cost directly brought to the lab 400 dhms they charged me 875 dhms! 475 to collect the sample and deliver it? !? !? Come on!
On top of it they wont give charity rates to individuals that do rescue on their own only to organizations and wont get charity from Friday to Sunday, like on the weekends sick and stray animals just dont count.
I get Dubai is an expensive place to get a practice going but there is a difference between having higher rates and bluntly exploiting customers

The best staff, so friendly and helpful! They made sure we understood everything they were doing and kept us in the loop the whole time our dog was there.

Shaju is a fantastic groomer! Wonderfully gentle yet thorough with my two dogs. The only problem is that they have increased their prices by 50%. Therefore with 2 dogs that require grooming every 6 weeks their prices are now crazy.

Excellent caring service. Cristina is a specialist in neurological conditions and she helped my dog who was having seizures immediately.

Best groomers in Dubai! Shaju is amazing - he is so gentle with my dog, talks through what he will be doing before the grooming and my dog loves him! Highly recommend.

I have taken my dog Teddy to the Modern Vet many times for grooming. Shaja is amazing with him, he takes care of him and is very professional. Mismanaged the appointments and reply was extremely harsh and rude by the nurse (informed from the receptionist that her name was MARTA). Also, her behaviour was against work ethics when she replied me in WhatsApp over voice notes. Doesn’t care whether you have infant but sudden ask to come by 7p.m for the appointment we had for originally at 5p.m then changes to 6p.m. I doubt whether she has love for voiceless inspite of explaining our condition.

Hands down the best Vet Hospital in Dubai! I’ve tried them all and i can say that this is the most professional and customer satisfaction oriented hospital. Dr. Rami is so skilled he always takes care of Snoop and he has proven to be dedicated especially in times of emergency. I’d also like to point out that the receptionist Kaloust always makes sure to accommodate us and organizes all the reminders for every appointment we take, as well as following up after our visit. I would like to thank the whole team for being so professional.

The Modern Vet hospital were very responsive from the first call to the day I fetched my dog. Coco was bitten badly by another much bigger dog.
They were concerned, caring and sent me updates and photos twice a day via whats app. I went to see my dog and they facilitated the visit and were supportive. I would highly recommend Dr Rami and team.

Groomer Shaju is excellent. He takes great care of our dog and takes all the time to groom perfectly.

We had always taken our beagle dog Kiki to Modern vet practice and I didn’t think they were that special.until Kiki got hit by a car on Al Wasl Road and they literally saved her life. They came by car and picked her up, took her and me to the hospital and operated on her straight away. We were lucky they just started opening 24/7 and Dr Luciano, the orthopedic surgeon, was working that evening. After her operation they kept Kiki for 6 days and allowed me to visit her every day. When I went there each day I saw how amazing the nurses were, caring for her so much and even buying her chicken from spinneys so that she would eat. You can really tell that the doctors and nurses are there to help animals and not just to make a living. A special mention to Adriana, Dr Luciano, Dr Marta, nurses Nika, Tatiana, Katerina and the nurse who picked Kiki up from accident (sorry I don’t know his name but he’s one of the kindest souls). We love you guys, thank you for saving our dog’s life and caring for her so much. Kiki is now back to normal life and she wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for the care, love and attention you showed her.

The only 24 hour vet near me in case that anything was to happen. Its very practical for my busy schedule. I am a regualr client at this get for many years. I love everyone here, especially the lovely support staff and the qualified vets that managed to solve my dogs health needs. Thankyou, modern vet! Definitely recommend them

A vet should care about the animals more than making profit. Their prices a unbelievable when it comes to check up.it cost about 240 AED just to have a look at the pet. The prices should be more reasonable, since you must be more concern about the animal health.

I always bring my cat for grooming with Shaju - the kindest and most gentle groomer. My cat has a heart murmur and I am always so nervous about leaving him but every time Shaju is so patient and understanding. My cat always looks beautiful once he is finished and never needs sedation. Thank you MVC!

MVC al Wasl has been nothing but amazing for us! We adopted from there - FIV + cat with some minor difficulties with leg wound. From front desk to the nurses to the pet taxi to the vets, everyone here is so helpful and professional.

We decided to keep our adopted cat with MVC despite the difference because the staff here are the best at what they do. They helped us so much with advice for his care at home, finding solutions that make it as stress free for him but manageable for us.

We didn’t own pets in the UK and we knew he would be a challenge. MVC has been incredible and are very particular about his care - we know he gets the love he needs here.

MVC is the best vet clinic. My cat (Bebe) was in labor and they decided that time emergency C-section and it was the right decision in the right time. All my cats were treated and had all the medical care they need and specially the grooming service it’s amazing. Thank you MVC team.

My husky had a bad seizure for the first time and thankfully Modern Vet was able to get us booked for an immediate emergency appointment. As soon as we walked in, the nurses and vet were all very kind and helpful in trying to figure out the cause of the seizure, booking my dog for X-rays and blood tests immediately. The speed and urgency the staff exercised during my emergency visit definitely gave me comfort during a very stressful and scary time. I appreciate the efforts of this clinic.

I see great reviews. However in my personal experience I lost my dog in a GI tumor surgery. The vet went on cutting through his bowels etc etc. I can't help wondering till date, if another hospital where the hospital is directly managed at the top by a vet, would have been better committed. The guilt is a killer as the doc too was detached and my dog didn't like the place from Day 1 and I ignored its gut.

A few hours before mine they lost another dog to pneumonia. They may have explanations but in front of my eyes in 3 days they had only 2 non regular cases and they lost both the dogs. Very unfortunate and coincidental.

Dr. Rami is very attentive and provides personalized care and is always available to answer any questions. He handles situations with calm and makes every issue seem very easy to handle.

I would like to specially commend Lenie and Kevin from the front desk and Dr. Renata and Nika the nurse for taking care of my baby Gucio. They have been exceptionally warm and very accommodating. Definitely a 5-star service.

This review is based on several years of experience with Modern vet. The doctors are good but the female reception team at al Wasl branch are awful. They rule the entire establishment. The JLT tech’s at the reception are far more diplomatic and courteous. The most disappointing feature of MV is that they don’t provide even a moderately discounted rate for existing customers who wish to spay or neuter stray animals. They only do so for the established organizations. Which defeats the purpose of TNR programs worldwide. The more vets encourage TNR from individuals; they reduce the financial responsibility of these organizations that volunteer TNR to a reasonable degree. I hope veterinary practices in UAE show more care.

I am very upset with modern veterinary clinic since I had made an appointment for my cats grooming 6 days in advance and when I went there on time they causally informed me that the groomer called in sick! Not just that, they told me that they couldn't find my number on their system to inform me even thought the lady who took my appointment put a note for other staff to try and find my number to let me know about this in advance. It sounded like they dint care about losing a client and specially when I was going there for the first time! Offered a mobile pick up but since my cat gets very anxious I never prefer that method. I prefer to be around till he goes in for grooming. Very unprofessional and will never go back here!

Meghan is our little chihuahua physiotherapist. She’s so patient with him. Her techniques literally turned him into a new dog. He couldn’t walk before without limping but after their sessions together, he comes out smiling, takes a nap and does some slow zoomies around our kitchen. Thank you

This clinic used to be professional and friendly.
A lot has changed in the past 20 Years, not very impresssed.
My cat died still don’t know what happened, no one available to talk to. Was informed by text.
Luckily for the clinic the bill had been paid in advance.
I am heart broken.

We had to wait 40 minutes before seeing the vet, they charged me an extra aed 142 for cleaning my cat’s ears, that is more expensive than a full grooming service! I don’t understand how do you go ahead and apply these hidden fees without taking time to explain to your customers that these services will be charged? ! Shouldn’t the customer’s consent be taken prior to providing any service? AED 1,200 bill for vaccination is a complete rip off!

I’ve been taking my dog and cat here since I moved to Dubai. This place is convenient to where I live and all of the doctors and staff are very nice and helpful.
They have lots of good healthy treats and food for your pets.
I recommend this place for anyone who wants someone to treat your pet as their own.

Best vet I've been to so far, and I've been to many. This is the first time the vet didn't try to push expensive non necessary testing on my cat. Brought her in for an upper respiratory infection and he said we should try antibiotics and going from there, which makes so much sense! Also, the prices are super reasonable.

Dr Erica is amazing! Not only is she very knowledgeable but she goes above and beyond any other vet I’ve ever had.

Last fall my senior westie had been having medical issues and is previous vet was not able to resolve the problem despite countless visits and thousands spent.

Within 30minutes of visiting Dr Erica not only did we have a diagnosis but a treatment plan. It’s turned out my westie has both diabetes and Cushing’s. Dr Erica has been great getting him healthy again and teaching me how to manage his illness at home and to continues to follow up and insure he gets the best treatment.

She literally saved his life!

Simply fantastic veterinary practice. Our dog is very, very nervous but the staff here are great with him. They're kind and always take extra time to make you and your pet feel comfortable. They really care about the animals. Highly recommended. (We see Dr. Manos mainly, but have seen other staff there too)

If you love your pet. Don’t take them to this place. They are just a business nothing else. They don’t care about your pet. And they will try to do everything to sell you something instead of giving you proper care for you pet. I would not recommend this place.

Late last month, we were greeted with a very sudden and unusual injury from our dog. Her leg was swollen with a source we have yet to find out to this day. We were researching what clinic has an open schedule, luckily we got a schedule here. And our experience was the best. We had to leave our sweet dog behind because of the fever and a rupture abscess for four days. And throughout the process they would be sending videos and updates daily.

Our doctor was Dr. John, and he is the most caring doctor. He noticed that we were so worried, but he assured us that it will all be fine and that they would see to it that the bills will be as low as possible.

The nurses also, bless their souls even remembered our dog when we came back for a check up.

God really brings the best people to you. Will come back here in a heartbeat.

I had the best experience here today.
I've lived in Dubai for 2 years now without a regular vet clinic. My kitty woke up really sick last night, so my roommate recommended to call MVC to get an appointment. Was booked for day-of visit right away.

When I came in, they already knew it was me! Staff was so incredibly gracious, and sweet to us. Once we had a subjective understanding of what needed to happen next, they gave me an estimate and worked with me to figure out what treatments made the most sense to pay for today.

Cannot say enough great things. So thankful I came in. Dr. Rokas thank you!

After going 1 month and half 2 feet 4 paws clinic, and couldn't cure my cat ringworm and paid lots of money, and visit rude doctor who almost shout at me cuz i asked him question about one medicine, i go to modern clinic today, doctor was very polite very gentel with my cat, answer all my silly questions with patient, gave me new priscription, iM sure my cat will get better beacuse this priscription he give me today was recommended by one of the best doctor in my country, even if not im very happy with this doctor, he gave me positive energy, and explain so many things to me which 1 month and half i asked other doctor, staff also very polite women in Receiption very polite, and very clean clinic, thanks alot modern clinic thanks alot doctor ruiz.

I would like to say Great Thank you to Dr. Manos and Dr. Tatiana! They really saved our cat’s life. The doctors are very professional and they are a very good team, we felt their support during all the period of treatment. One month and a half our cat, Murka started falling down, she couldn’t walk at all, she stopped moving. We were very afraid and took her to Modern Vet to Dr. Manos and Tatiana (we go to them 2 years already and very satisfied), they took our Murka to the hospital to take the necessary analyses and to find out what happened to her. During these 5 days our catty was in the hospital, the Doctors supported us each day, sent us the videos and did their best to find out what happened to Murka. At the same time, they started the treatment immediately. First days Murka refused to eat, respond and move, but miracles happen! When we took her home there was the great progress in her health. Our great Doctors found the reason and the disease of our catty in spite of the fact that the case was very difficult and the disease is rare. Dr. Manos and Tatiana did great job for us and THANKS to their professional work, our Murka now getting back to normal life, even starts running and playing!

They do amazing work on TNR’s and for great prices! However for severe medical issues the doctor was not as thorough and I had to take my cat someplace else.

Stay away from this place. Was not helpful at all and they were not even considering our concerns regarding the conditions of our kitten. On top of it, their consultation is very expensive.

I have went to several veterinary clinics in Dubai, and this is the first one that actually knows what they’re doing. They were kind, caring, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. Great place and service. Had to drop in on a holiday weekend with my kitty. So happy that I found this place!

I brought my kitten for treatment and it was the worst. My kitten is 2 months old and did not take all her vaccinations yet. I specifically instructed to keep her in her carrier as she so small and fragile and the promised she’ll keep her in her carrier. Then I called to check up and they told me that she is in a cage. I picked her up immediately. Not only this but they also misdiagnosed my kitten and convinced me she has a fracture, while she did not. If you love your pets don’t bring them her because they only love money in this clinic.
