Najaf Restaurant

After long time had the delicious chicken cut fry and Najaf special chicken 65. Both are a must try from here. Porota is a bit hard which i don't recommend to have.

Every time i go there to eat chicken 65and porotta.
We usually dine in from down stairs. But yesterday the smell was very bad like a drainage…i told the guy and he suggested to go upstairs. It was okay at upstairs and huge dine area.female wash area was smelly in upstairs but not male wash area.

Ordered 65 and porotta most piece of chicken was cold inside which seems like chicken was taken out from fridge and microwaved. How ever some pieces of chicken was not heated properly.
Porotta quality is also lowered…
Thought of saying it to them, but seems they don’t care if they cared i am sure there wont be smell

Been to the restaurant for decades from my childhood. The management changed multiple times, ambience changed, serving people changed - but one thing that has never changed is their unique Butter chicken masala. Not a usual one - but a proprietary one of Najaf.

Butter chicken masala with crispy parotta (ask for kadak) is amazing combination. Surprisingly their tea also started getting better nowadays

I got very bad experience from this restaurant. If give an order it will take minimum one hour and once food came that I checked it was open not pack properly.

The ambience to sit and eat is not all that great, but the food is really good. Must Have is their Najaf Chicken 65 and Chicken Cut Fry.

Their chicken65 gravy was a Gem, But its sad that gem is over priced dumb item in their menu now!

And they don’t care about it anymore.

Can someone suggest me where can I get the same old chicken65 gravy in UAE?

We ordered for main course serves after 50 min they for the continuation we need to call to restaurant reception for ordering.
Tried complaining but no point.
After many years of being a valued customer, time to say bye bye.

Their butter chicken is also my fav.

Been a customer for generation didn't expect the taste and quality to drop this much for such a pricy menu, very disappointed went with my whole family whom I used to eat since childhood and all were very disappointed and upset. Not a family place anymore just the chicken 65 gravy left to taste when you crave.

Nice hotel. Nice Kerala food. Varieties of biryanis. Snacks. Cutting tea all at affordable price. Home delivery available

Ambience: Nothing to boast about. Simple family restaurant.
Food: ordered three different chicken gravies and one dry mutton. Portions were huge and we ended up ordering too much. (As per our communities zero food wastage policy we ended up with 3 huge parcels of takeaways for our homes:) Gravies were tasty with a good balance between spices. (One of them tilted towards sweetness which i dont prefer but others in my group liked. The spicy one was really spicy which i liked) The mutton was not well done and that is the reason for one minus star Naans and chapatis were good.
Service: It took an eternity for our order to arrive (45 mins approx) We were a group of friends with family (and hungry kids) after a day long picnic, so the wait was not appreciated. Servers were very polite and nice. So no comolains there.
Over all: A decent place to dine in when in mood for some Indian/Pakistani and budget friendly but nothing too special about it.

Visited najaf restaurant almost after 15 years for their signature chicken 65 dish but had a terrible experience as the taste was very bad as it was very sour eventually causing stomach upset for one among us

Chicken 65 taste is like meen curry with sweet sauce. Beef chilli is good. Chapathi is average. All in all average place

Ordered took one hour for delivery and worst aappam and charcoal chicken but mutton biriyani was good. Gravy is not to the best overall not recommended

Very Bad Service. Food was excellent but service was very poor. And very late served. Asking for Extra onion and wait for 30 minute. Nobody's responding in good way.

Food it's really tasty. Especially their authentic chicken 65 gravy type

Very tiring and bad experience. Order management system doesn't exist here at all. You order plain water and don't be surprised if you are served with tea or juice. Staff attitude is very rude and not at all customer friendly. Would never recommend this place to anyone unless they are ready to order food worth 50 and end up paying 100. Giving one star rating as I understand there is no other option below 1 star.

One of better options for South Indian food in Deira Clock Tower area, but disrespectful attitude from the staff. Should ask if they have change before ordering food, can't complain if you find hair or something from the food.

Went to Najaf after years. The restaurant has revamped and has extended the dinning area.

The service was ordinary and it could have been faster and better.

The taste has changed over time and the chicken 65 was not as tasteful as it used to be years ago.

Their menu is quite extensive and reasonably priced. Equipped with better services, customers will have better experience.

Been a frequent visitor for chicken 65 gravy dish, it's best in town and budget friendly. Average ambience for a casual dining place. Cleanliness can be improved. Nice place overall!

They delayed an order for more than 30 min and finally delivered frozen parotta purchased from the next grocery and fooled the customer.

Should have not taken the order, rather than cheating with alternative arrangements.

The restaurant charges heavy, but should deliver quality food as well.

Bad smell coming from the plates served.after request disposable plates given.also we ordered 6 plates and got only 2 plates of salad.and shared 2 plates of salad in 12 people.so bad

I read other reviews and no one is complaining about price, I guess they charge non-Indians double or triple, as this is standard practice in some Indian restaurants in Dubai. They charged me AED 23 for a half meal chicken 65! Usually this item should not be more than AED10-12 in this class of restaurant.

I have been hearing a lot about this age-old restaurant for a while now. How can I stop myself from going there when I know that they sell the best chilly chicken and parotta (5/5) in UAE? Yes, guys, this Najaf restaurant near to Deira clock tower serves finger-licking chilly chicken (5/5) and cut chicken (5/5). No wonder, they are getting delivery even from Al Ain and Umm Al Quwain. The parotta (5/5) was the best with crispy layers, and the chappathi (5/5) was super soft and yummy!

If you are around this area, don't forget to try their delicious food at economical rates. Though the cafe looks small from outside, it is spacious with seating facility available in the upstairs.

The staffs are lovely, and the service was fast.

Love their Chicken chilly shredded and the famous Chicken 65. Though the chicken corn soup was not so great.

Food quality is not the best I'd say, but satisfactory. Quantity is good. Appropriately priced. Likes the taste of tea a lot

I have been living in UAE for more than 30+ years. And I was introduced to this restaurant by my father back then. To this day, the only dish we have ordered is Parotta and Chicken 65. And trust me, the taste has been consistent over the years.the same thick curry with juicy tender pieces of chicken. Simply irrestible!

I'd recommend this place to anyone who'd simply want to try out this delicious combination.

One of the oldest and best restaurant in the UAE. You can park you're vehicles behind the restaurant. It is cheap and best quality food for your money

It is an average size restaurant. The restaurant has a breakfast menu (eggs paratha sandwich is very popular) as well as lunch specials. The mutton soup is very good, particularly soothing in the "cold" weather. Majority of the clients are people working in the area. The parking space is around the block (C zone).

One of the best sea food servings I have ever had. Prices are very reasonable and some are served as good as free. Mutton soup is only DHS. 3/- for small portion. What I loved the most was that I got to choose the fish that I liked to eat and was served fresh. Chapathi is huge in size compared to the other hotels and cost only DHS. 1/-

Not a clean atmosphere out their.kerala lunch in banana leaf was good.now no banana leaf.in plate.not acceptable.

Memorable breakfast had from here on EID day with cousins. Malabari Restaurant which is near to Deira clock tower. Adequate dinning space and pocket friendly prices are the advantage seen over here.

We had Poori and Bhaji, Appam and meencurry. Its a normal eatery place in Deira

Chicken 65 is the best in dubai and the wheat paratha is also good. Yes the price is at medium range but if you wanna njoy the chicken 65 it's worth the try. I always order from them

One of my preferred restaurants near clock tower area.try veg items like Kerala meals.breakfast also good.not very much satisfied with nonveg items as they make it very oily and spicy.
