Had lunch yesterday at night jar. To be honest i was surprised with the quality of the food knowing it’s more of a coffee place. We ordered the below: - half chicken with two salads (pretty decent, would have preferred to have the chicken boneless, gravy was good, salads as well) - steak sandwich (amazing, could use a bit more sauce though) - roasted sweet potatoes (exceptional, was super happy that it was roasted not fried, the spicy mayo sauce was so good as well) - avo toast with poached eggs (very good!)
Also tried the chocolate peanut butter cake which was good as well & the iced cold brew.
Suitable for work from home, afternoon coffe. They also have outdoors setting.
The cafe has a pub-like atmosphere that looks like it will sell alcohol. It is very impressive. It is very vibrant, lively. A place where you can be surrounded by people and soak up the exciting atmosphere. I ordered cheese toast and cold brew. The toast was amazing. I’ll definitely come back
This place is cool, fresh and lively. It is in Alserkal Avenue. I ate chow chow and infused ice tea (peach). I am not a big fan of homemade ice teas but ice tea here is absolutely superb. Chow chow is also very very good (I attach a photo but I did not take it, it is from Deliveroo's Nightjar menu page). Other photos belong to me. One problem is inside area can be a little noisy (I mean in a boisterous way) and the seating area is limited.
Food is good, staff is super and the location is lovely. I 100% recommend. After an art walk in Alserkal it is a great place to sit and eat.
I paid 66aed for chow chow amd ice tea, very reasonable.
I like how laid back this cafe is. Match it with great coffee and desserts, the music.its a nice way to spend time with friends! Staff is also very accomodating. We'll surely come back!
Coldbrew nitro is the best! As coffee lover like me, will definitely keep coming back here. Want to shout out to Riz for being friendly and accommodating. Cheers.
I liked the vibe and attentiveness of staff, however i was extremely disappointed by the menu.i completely understand it isn’t your focus but there were so few vegetarian options that i struggled to eat.ended up having some roasted sweet potato and broccolini, which, though tasty, was far from a put together and well considered meal.was really hoping for a modern, cool, ‘hipstery’ small business to cater to those with dietary restrictions.i don’t like coffee so can’t comment on it, though i did quite like the kombucha i had
This is my first time coming in this shop. I have a very pleasant experience with the staff. The coffee is good. The music is good. I will definitely come back
Good place to have breakfast. The food is tasty I recommend the chili egg scramble (thanksfully it is not too spicy). The pancakes are also great. The place is cute and the staff is friendly.
Even though this place has been featured in a lot of articles such as What's On as a space you can work from, you CANT. One of the employees working here told us this is not a working space its a restaurant (in a very rude way when all we did was ask to order) even though we are all paying customers and all ordered something to drink/eat.disappointed in how rude the employees were to us. This used to be one of my favourite cafes, but i will not be visiting again.
A little funky and swagy space. A good place to have a freshly made brunch while chatting with friends. The coffee is delicious, the fish burgers and sandwiches are also delicious.
We ordered V60, and the acidity and sweetness of the coffee is way too amazing. Custard dessert 10/10 not too sweet, even the chantilly cream taste good.
The vibe of this cafe hits differently, If you want a very good coffee, dessert this place is worth to visit. Customer service were also exceptional.
If you like mustaches, cheap tattoo flash art and end-of-the-world priced avocados, this is a great little cafe. Sit down enjoy minimum hourly spend of 100 dirham, pay 18 dirham for half an avocado (they do slice it and serve complimentary lemon wedge) and be surrounded by people who “get” it.
Dropped in for a few mins for a take away: they tend to rush you and push you out asap. The toilets are a mess beyond usage. I don’t know if this was a one off experience or it’s just acceptable to be this way.
I got a mocha with oat and it had no coffee taste or chocolate taste. Only tasted of oat milk with a burnt after taste…
Layered potato and pancakes with raspberries — these are two things I love at Nighjar. And of course their coffee. Cool place for a breakfast and a walk after it, because it’s surrounded by a bunch of galleries and niche craft shops.
Nightjar café is located in Al Quoz and offers great coffee and food from 10am. If you are into coffee and if you like to try something new or maybe just enjoy a well brewed drink then this spot is right for you. Many lighter roasts are available (city roast and full city roast) but also darker ones for some more power if you are looking for drinks with milk. But no matter if you choose a V60 brew or a Cappuccino, it is always miles away from for every day coffee joint drink.
The food is great too! My favourite is the House cured salt beef sandwiche and the whole roasted sweet potatoes.
The place has really good food and the portions are satisfactory. Really enjoyed their Jaffa Shake and sweet potato fries. If you are looking for a moderately expensive brunch, you may find the prices to be a bit on the higher side.
Visited Nightjar Coffee Roasters for breakfast. The food was decent, cannot say it was bad, but cannot say it was alluring either.
The coffee was okish, have had a lot of better options to have coffee elsewhere for the exact same price.
The option to order and pay using a QR Code at the table was really unique, made the process a lot easier, and there is no need to wait at the table for service.
Cute coffee shop with good music and overall chill vibes to enjoy a coffee or a bite. I ordered their nitro cold brew, which I expected to be way more foamy than it actually was. I would recommend the flavoured cold brew as their pecan flavour is very tasty and just sweet enough that you don’t need to add sugar.
Unfortunately it was more like Nightmare, apperently you are a second class customer if you only need a coffee at a café! Agressive attempts of upselling, and water dripping from the ceilings on the computer. The waiter had an attitude and asked me to sit at a table in the corner because I was alone, knowing that the ocupency was 25% max.
This place is totally neglect all UAE food safety rules. Kitchen was preparing our meal without wearing gloves, the manager didn’t do anything after sharing this feedback, as per him “they shouldn’t, you know nothing about rules here”
Great coffee and service. I've loved Night Jar for years. Unfortunately, I discovered in my last visit that this coffee shop has no respect for the religon of the country it resides in. When there are prayers outside, they don't turn off the music. It just keeps going on and on, which I found to be very disrespectful and offensive. I hope this changes because it's a shame for a good coffee shop to fall for a thing that can be easily changed.
——- 26/March/2022 Things has been changed. So I revised my review from 2* to 5*

Attitude from bartender to waiters. This is not one day experience. I have been 4 times and I experienced similar approach each time so I thought leave my comment here to improve the service and guests experience! Btw food and interior is nice.
Love everything on the menu. My favorite part is the ordering system, where you dont have to wait for a waiter to come and take your order. All you have to do is scan the bar code and order, pay and Leave.
The cherry infused cold brew was exceptional. The burnt bask was a beauty Ambiance, top notch with trendy songs playing in the background Service was quick and kind.
I love their coffee and their hibiscus cold tea! The staffs are always helpful and friendly. The house cured beef sandwich was great, but could be too salty to some people.
Really amazing Creme Brulee pancake! We just loved it! Their coffee is good. Food is amazing. Ambience is fabulous. Quite busy on weekends. Worth a visit!
Beautiful ambience and great food. This a perfect spot to sit unwind and relax. You can also bring your laptop here and work aka this place has a work friendly ambience
Delicious food, great beats and an amazing interior, really makes you think you're in another city, it's urban hip without forcing the aesthetic - and something that needs noting, Nightjar offers filtered water in a carafe, so no more paying for overpriced water with a massive carbon footprint #props
A lovely place with delicious slow drip coffee that is presented beautifully. Food is good and beautifully presented as well. It would be nice if they had a big weekend breakfast rather than only having to choose multiple items from the menu.
Awesome little coffee spot with a roastery on-site. Some cool and quirky food and beverage options. The staff are also really friendly and knowledgeable as well. Well worth a visit if you like good coffee. It’s somewhat hidden inside an industrial estate so make sure you put in the effort to look for it.
Best coffee I had so far in Dubai! Situated in an industrial zone. The place has a industrial decor and good music. If you visit on a weekday be sure to tour around the classic cars gallery or the various art galleries.
Nihtjar has a cool vibe and interesting coffee menu. We ordered different types of coffee like shakerato and two cakes. The cakes were amazing and the coffee was good too! The staff are friendly and pricing is reasonable. Located in Al Serkal, it is a really good spot to make a stop before (or after) a movie or art exhibition!
The food is excellent, the pricing is excellent, especially considering Dubai prices and Al serkal prices. Ask for Shawn, he's brilliant, unimposing and gives great recommendations.
A nice ambiance and creative menu. I removed one star for lack of availability for items on menu, one star for service (if there is a problem with execution e.g. Over cooked egg or non-guinness like goodness with cold brew do not treat the customer as incompetent). Lastly I find the menu overpriced and serving portions small.
I will try this again for lunch, but for a coffee joint, I was underwhelmed by their calling card.
I’m a fan of the Huntr Dubai whose glowing review brought me to Nightjar. It’s a cozy place, and playful menu, their coffee selection might be the most extensive I’ve seen in Dubai. I’m willing to give this place a second chance, it has a lot going for it.
It was our first time here. Apparently they have been there for a while but have only been serving meals for about a week now. It's very taste and affordable. Most nice places cost an arm and a leg in dubai lately. We had 2 cappuccinos, 3 mains and a large water for 140 AED. Not bad at all. I highly recommend the sweet beef sandwich and the ox tonge sandwich. The spuds and cheese is more than you can handle.
They also went the extra mile in getting us a baby chair. They said they didn't have one but organised us one right away. It's also one of the few places if not the only place in Alsarkal that provides full meals. Hi eat here.
It's a funky vibe and also looks an awesome place to take your laptop, do your thing and have some funky lounge vibes in the background.
Amazing coffee! Expertly made, and the staff were lovely The space is open, friendly and casual and will be going back regularly. The cold brewed coffee is unique and tasty (orange one is incredible).
Only coffee review: I have been here a few times for cold and hot coffee with mixed experiences. I recently bought an espresso machine to make drinks at home and have been on a mission to find Dubai’s best locally-roasted beans.
I’ve tried 4 other roasters and consumed over 2kg of coffee before trying out Nightjar’s coffee. I asked the barista which he recommends between El Salvador and Brazil - as I’ve found great taste in South/Central American beans - and he suggested the Brazil, which frankly surprised me but I still bought it. Brazilian beans are known to be inferior to their counterparts and their are less great Brazilian beans available.
After 5 days of drinking it daily, within 5-9 days after roast date, I was only able to pull average shots from their beans for cappuccino. I made a total of 7 drinks for myself (and 4 drinks for my friends) in the 5 days and using different extraction ratios. Just the week prior I had absolutely great beans from a roaster so my technique could not have changed.
When I messaged them on their social media, they were not responsive although I have been friendly with my attitude. Other roasters were very responsive when I have asked them any question or gave them feedback.
I have voiced out my concerns and will give them another chance after a few months in hopes they improve.
Great new café and a valuable member of the growing Al Quoz coffee scene. The baristas are super friendly and would definitely delight coffee snobs. The ambiance is very conducive to sitting and spending a lot of time, making it perfect for studying, hanging with friends, going on a date, etc. Highly recommend!
Great place for coffee. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are amazing. Nice place to chill and get a cup of coffee (even to go) and soon they will be having some hot food to serve; can’t wait to try that when it’s launched. For those who are looking for beans to take home they have a variety to chose from, but seems to sell fast.
I was only there long enough for one latte, but found the atmosphere and the staff to be really impressive. Oh, and it goes without saying that I really enjoyed my latte!
Coffee is good but service was slow and they only had one variety of packaged coffee so you have to wait for anything else. Woman behind the counter wasn’t staff so she ignored me wanting to order. And they charge more for the same beans than Rose Leaf Cafe 2 minutes away. Unlikely to return.
