Food was perfect and delicious but the staff were very slow and each time we call them they dont come.you have to call them 10 times to come to your table

Lovely restaurant, the order came quick and was delicious. The staff was very helpful with the recommendations and attentive, also the place is spacious and has lovely interior!

The food is so delicious and the service is excellent I wish them all the best

Service was so disappointing, they took 45 mins to get me my dish and when they brought it the fish was almost raw and they had to cook another, which took 15 mins (weird), and that was not really tasty. They only offer one kind of rice which is too buttery for my liking and the sauce on the fish was odd. They didn’t seem to care about how long they were taking and it was really irritating. I’ve had much more pleasant experiences at the restaurants next to it so I’ve learned my lesson:)

One of the best fish restaurants a tryed in Dubai. We took a sharing plate with lot of choice and the salad simple but delicious.

Firstly was very exited to find a south african restaurant, then we ordered our food the sushi was not fresh the wasabi they use was dry and grainy only to find they use wasbi powder with water.the food tasted bland and the fish was not fresh had a mushy taste to it very disappointing will definitely not be visiting again.

Very disappointed we've been here many times but today we found out they have increased the prices on the menu and reduced the portions of the rice! Not coming back!

I usually love Ocean basket's food however lately their quality seems to have taken a beating.

I ordered sushi platter and a basic fish and chips for dinner. The fish was not fried properly and was having taste of raw fish. The sushi was passable and was not something amazing.

The mint cooler was the only highlight as it hit the right notes.

For the money that is being charged, I wish they keep an eye on their quality and customer service.

I am rating them three keeping in mind the previous good experiences that I have had here. As for the last two orders, I would rate only a one.

Food is okay, below my expectations. Service was okay except for this person Hossam who was amazing. Don’t think I’ll go again.

Very much blanch fish & chips such that it is totally tasteless and non juicy, fries also felt soaked and dry
I really miss LFF which was awesome compared to this

It is a good place to have seafood and should be tried.you have option of grilled or batter fried. You also have choice of sushi. Enjoyyy

Not very good. They should have VEGETARIAN menu and good sweet dishes. Lot of attention on Ocean but least on the ground in front.

Food delivery took 90 minutes to arrive, flooded with melted ice water, inedible, contacted restaurant. No follow up received, very dissatisfied.

The quality of food hugely dropped.the service became very slow.couldn’t eat some of our orders because it was served cold and the calamari taste so bad. I don’t think I will eat here again

On a busy day the food is not so good, rushed and undercooked. Quieter days are better. It used to be so much better a year or two ago. Often receive Humour while sold as Cod. Seared Salmon was almost raw while it used to be so perfect. Was very disappointed recently. Service is good.

It was our first time at the Ocean Basket in MCC.
The ambience of the place gives you all the right vibes of a good seafood restaurant.
The numero uno rule of a seafood restaurant is to keep the food simple and must say that they have done a pretty good job at that.
You get to taste the freshness, the taste of the ocean on your platter.
With that being said and done, the service was a BIG letdown. Right from the service to the follow-ups, was a disappointment.
Sadly we were not the only people complaining as the couple on the table beside us seems to have the same concerns.
Towards the end, the restaurant Manager took time to hear us out and hoping not to have the same experience on our next visit.

Bad quality for high price. I asked for 2 prawns and calamari combo meals. The waiter asked me if I like to change the prawns to jumbo prawns without telling me that there is an extra 220 dirhams charge. I was served only 6 pieces of medium sized prawns with medium quality nothing special for this amount of money. I felt like I was scamed and I don't think I will ever eat there again.

Ocean Basket has long been a South African staple and being a proud SA guy (born and raised) I went in with extremely high expectations and I'm glad to say it was met over and above! The staff were super friendly and the food was superb! Will definitely be visiting again.

Best seafood by far. Why is because of the customer experience and the sense of warmth when entering this establishment. The way they welcome you will definitely sets the tone for the meal as it just keeps getting better after that. The food ambience and customer service is outstanding - 10 STARS!

Even though it is a well known chain with okay seafood dishes for its market; the ambiance is killing it for this outlet. The presentation looks cheaper than what is paid for, the staff seem lethargic and hard to catch to request anything. Tables, chinaware and anything inbetween looks old. The mall and the outlet is also very family oriented and full of families with children, it might not be the most peaceful outlet if you can't relate.

We totally enjoyed our meal. Seafood platter for 2. Can't remember the name of the other dish, but the tuna was fresh. Only thing was I didn't know it came with rice.
The latte was ok.

This is one amazing place, I love the food here, their seared salmon salad and Tge big one, a platter for one is just awesome and what xan I say about their Malva pudding, simply amazing, one true South African place. Love it

A sea food heavens! Great tasting cod and prawns! I opted for the grilled one being a healthy choice. It has a big seating area and the service is good. Prices are not bad either. They are observing good Covid SOPs. I will definitely go there again.

Very good food, we enjoying coming here. Firstly the mall is great and the restaurant is always accommodation. Staff very good and polite. Great service and they offer entertainer. We will be back as this is a gem.

Disgusting fish. Everything is stale. The waiter even advised us that they use the cheapest fish available. You have to ask your waiter before you order. I wouldnt frequent.

Ordered Family Platter, Grilled shrimp was overcooked but the fried fish was Devine! Our waiter had a nice dense of humor!

A good selection of sea food on the menu. Our favourite is their special which is cod either grilled or fried with butternut squash and spinach. It can be very busy at the weekend.

Still my favourite every day seafood restaurant. Great value for money, consistently awesome food (and variety). Friendly staff.my second home!

Wonderful restaurant, cozy and neat. The food as the name says comes from the ocean, it is combination of fish calamari muscles and oyster all cooked to perfection.
The very nice thing about this place is that it offers the see food dishes along with the Japanese sushi, in a simple words, this restaurant is heaven for see food lovers.
I also consider the list of selection clever as you won't be confused about the type of dishes you need to choose, the menu is simple, short and contains everything you need.
I would advice the dishes that comes with rice as must try dish.

Taste - The food was amazing as I'm a big fan of seafood and they were also cooked properly as the fish had a thick coating and the grilled prawn was also topped with a creamy sauce. The rice and the fries tasted superb as the sauce really helped to make the whole food flavourful.  

Final Verdict - Overall an amazing place to have seafood with a bit of British touch. The pricing seems to be slightly on the higher side but still being manageable as the seafood quality and taste is superb.

Food was great. Had an amazing waiter, Koyode. Gave us fabulous service. Can recommend the family platter and the crispy sushi platter. Very reasonable prices too!

The worst fish / shrimp I ate ever. Moreover the prices are over comparing with quality.
I expect to eat delicious meal same Red lobster but unfortunately I fully depressed!
Save your money, same quality will find in London fish and chips in the food court with less than half price.

Quality is fine but quantity isnt value for money, its not high end restaurant same time expensive compared to what you get, e.g 3 prince shrimps, few round calamari pieces, some rice, few ships for 75, quality of items just Ok, service is good

Excellent seafood restaurant. The fish was perfectly grilled, rice was too good & sauté vegetables were excellent. The rose drink was excellent too. Great service as well.

I love ocean basket. First time at dubai, normally I can enjoy them only at south Africa. Super delicious seafood

So far from my point of view the best Lebanese food I ever taste in dubai a very high recomend with amazing view of burj khalifa and the dancing fountain as well the indoor section decoration amazing

Nothing special. Just a casual seafood place. Staff was friendly, menu was a bit pricey for what you get.

Food was good and staff attentive and friendly but felt I got cheated when I was suggested the kingclip instead of any other fish, which turned out to be the more expensive option at 116 dirhams and regular fish and calamari was 64 dirhams!

Love this place. Always great service even when full. Always coming back to this place. Love the food and the variety. Keep it up. Need more ocean baskets though. Only one more in terminal 3.

Ordered the family combo that was supposed to be shared by 4 persons. It was yummy but definitely the portion is small for 4.
