Oregano Restaurants, Dubai Silicon Oasis

We decided to have Oregano for take away. It was ready in a timely manner. We enjoyed most of the meal. It would have been nice to have the sauces labeled as this was our first time eating here, we didn't know what went with what.
The cheesecake was really nice and one of the best we've had in quite a while. We ordered a bunch of different pastas, ravioli, calimari and dessert. My favorite dish was the chicken fettuccine.
Overall we would recommend trying this resturaunt and we will eat there again.

Had the pleasure of dining at Oregano and indulging in their pesto spaghetti dish, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight. From the vibrant colors to the tantalizing flavors, my taste buds were in for a treat.

An Authentic Italian restaurant with pure Italian flavours. I can claim that because I have been to Rome and I have some idea. The Pastas and Pizzas bring back those memories quite well.

Update: I have been a regular at Oregano for years and I am sad to say that the service quality has been dropping. My latest experience was bad and I felt ashamed with my guest.

DISGUSTING! This place is not worth calling it a restaurant, because even a Super Bad Restaurant have the minimum standards to meet. The Arancini we ordered was still frozen from the inside! And the pesto sauce served with it was pure WATER SAUCE with maybe 1% pesto and the taste was disgusting. Not to mention that the olive paste we got with the complimentary bread at first was also disgusting and fully mixed with water. Then we got the seafood pasta and the gnocchi, I really cannot describe how disgusting these 2 dishes were and my friend got stomach ache later on from the gnocchi. The seafood used was very badly cooked, and the crab they used was disgusting. The white sauce was not even a white sauce. The worst food experience in Dubai BY FAR.

Italian atmosphere made me so happy

My family has been enjoying eating from this restaurant for some years now. We know how their food tastes. So sad to see that the food we once enjoyed is not tasty anymore and for the first time ever, we were treated rudely by the waiters there, a Filipino guy and lady…. They have no customer discretion, they are shouting from another end for you to shout back what you need Instead of coming close to the table to hear us out. After paying the bills, not a word thank you came from the Lady who brought the bill, we tried to make the situation light by being polite ourselves but the lady who brought the bill was so cold and rude. I am not sure we want to go back there again.

Had a great time there and the food was great.
I would advise that the waiters smile more just to give off a friendly vibe

Today I was really shocked. First time this incident happened with me today. Your staff they are not polite I asked her (waitress) about business lunch and she said, WE DONT HAVE business lunch and turned and left back. By the way only 2 tables was busy at the time no one is came to take order. And we are left and never back to this place again.

Superb Italian food, best aubergine pizza I ever had. Staff are so polite & friendly. Definitely will go back there.

Ordered online and food was not delivered after waiting more than one hour. After enquiry, they said driver have deliver the food which was not.

We’ve used Oregano before for work lunches but not sure we’ll go back. Plastic cutlery and plates when every other restaurant is using proper crockery is not the way to go - Covid or not! But what made our lunch really unpleasant was freezing AC. The thermostat must have been down at 18. All six of us froze. Food was ok but really ruined by the experience.

If you are craving for italian food then try this place. The interiors and service is really good.

Delicious clean fresh ingredients taste. Excellent service. Fair price for quality. Always a great choice for lunch or dinner!

That pasta with their signature sauce was to die for. The team are fast and efficient and the place was clean and perfect.

The wooden benches are a little too high for me to sit comfortably though. But other than that, everything is awesome!

Oregano has been a favourite dropin with normally consistent tasty food. Will think twice about returning again after being served a soggy rocket salad which couldn't be eaten. A shame to see standards slip Oregano!

The food was great. The service became great towards the end. I recommend trying once at least.

I used to order their lamb shank meal last year so I called 2 days ago to order it and the lady who answered said it's not available anymore but there is a "Beef Brisket" meal which is similar. So I ordered it. This was the worst meal I ever had in my life! The beef was hard as rubber, very chewy and lacked flavor. So basically I ended up paying a 100 DHS for some mashed potatoes which came with it as that was the only thing edible! Never again!

They should probably learn how to talk to customers first before serving. I had the worst experience ever in my life in any restaurant in any part of the world.will never ever recommend anyone to come here.

One of the worst restaurants I have visited. The service is poor the employees and management are the worst part, they don't have any idea of how to treat customers.
Would recommend to stay as far as you can.

Very nice place to have a lunch. Actually they have nice lunch offer for AED 55,00 salat or soup and pasta or pizza! Recommended!

Bread is very nice also pasta. The restaurant staff is helpful, a bit expensive but good quality is good. Also have high chairs for baby and give colours and drawing papers for the kids. Overall, a reasonable restaurant to visit with family.

Food-wise, I don't know what happened to them, but their food isn't at all as it used to be 1 year ago or so. The servers aren't the most friendly and for their prices (compare them to restaurants in Dubai mall in front of Burj Khalifa) you can definitely get better view, friendly servers and food quality. E.g, Oceano spaghetti that used to be my favorite is now a tasteless mixture of seafood and spaghetti.

And there is worse: do the mistake of calling these guys once from your phone and they will spam you forever with their useless SMS.
I have had my number for a bit more than 24 months now. I had to change my previous number due to SMS spams. I have been very careful with the new number and rarely call businesses from it and when I do so CLEARLY explain to whoever I call that I am not allowing them to use it for any marketing purposes before I proceed to place an order (I obviously don't even try calling companies like KFC and McDo from it!)
I currently only have one Spammer. Oregano! I called them a bit less than 2 years ago from it, then I tried at least 5 times to ask them explicitly to stop sending me messages. On two opportunities I have been transferred to a senior person, and in ALL 5 times, they said my number has been removed from their mailing lists and.it comes back again.

The Caesar salad was so plain and the chicken tasted like rubber and the staff were very rude and racist!

Food is amazing. Such creative flavours on their pizza and pasta! Their lime mint juice is perfect on a thirsty day

When in mood for Italian, Oregano is the place to go!

Ambiance:
The restaurant is adorned beautifully with lovely wooden interiors. Once you’re inside, you can actually feel the Italian vibes in the air. It’s a fine dine restaurant that is perfect for an outing with family and friends. The restaurant has an Italian street side themed décor which is quite unique and something that definitely sets this place apart from the other Italian places we have tried.

With the authentic food served, the lovely music and unique aesthetics around us, we were definitely in for a true Italian experience. In addition, they even have a lovely wishing fountain upfront where you can drop a few pennies and make a wish!

Bite Board

As we were seated, we placed our order and were offered some complimentary bread with a red sauce dip and an anchovy dip which tasted just okay. But kudos to our server for warning us about the anchovy dip as we also have a vegetarian scavenger.

1. Strawberry Mojito [AED 25]: This drink is a staple drink for us and we have it everywhere we go. Some places get it right while some are a huge disappointment. Oregano ticked all the right boxes for us and definitely did the mojito justice. It was refreshing and flavourful. One of the best strawberry mojitos we’ve tried as of yet.

2. Alfredo Pasta [AED 48]: A creamy pasta that usually comes with chicken but we exchanged it with broccoli for our vegetarian partner. The pasta was slightly undercooked but the cheese sauce covered it up by being super delicious.

3. Spicy Barbecue Pizza [AED 41]: Easily one of the best pizzas we’ve eaten. This pizza had a thin crust base along with generous pieces of juicy chicken, capsicum, onion and mozzarella. It has a spicy BBQ sauce drizzled on top making it spicy but not too much. The chicken chunks were delicious and it just took us one bite to realize that this pizza would be devoured in a heartbeat!

Service:
We were quite pleased with the service at this restaurant. The staff were patient and friendly.

Cash Outflow:
The prices are a little on the higher side but they make up for it in portion sizes as one main course can easily be shared by two.

Circling Back:
Yes. We love Italian cuisine and Oregano hit all the right notes with us so we’re definitely going to drop by sometime soon!
