Loved the food along with the way it presented. It was great experience.we tried there cocktails it was amazing.

Atmosphere: could have been a bit lighter. The music didn't match the set-up, it was too loud and I wouldn't have expected Western DJ here.

Food: Tomato soup was good on presentation and taste side. They nailed it there.
The main course was just from ordinary to bad. We ordered Patiala Shahi Paneer and Bread Basket. The gravy was too thin and didn't have any significant taste. Laccha Paratha was ok but we have had better at most places. Naan and Roti were too chewy and didn't feel properly cooked.

Overall, an ok experience but given the price tag, this place could be avoided.

Been wanting to visit this place for some time and finally made it happen. Good food and they have options for vegs … The mocktails was all good. Celebrated a birthday and the staff surprised us with an amazing presented desserts platter.
One comment from my daughter was that the ambience was bit too black and spooky (She’s 8) and I agree with her. Hope they work better on the lightings.

Not a very good Indian restaurant. Very disappointed in the meal. Fixed menu so you can't ask for a vegetarian madras, for example. I asked and just got a blank face and a finger pointing at the veggie options on the menu. I've never been to an Indian restaurant were they won't cook you what you want. I doubt they have an authentic Asian chef in the kitchen to be honest. I chose a veggie meal made with okra. I gave it a try but it was disgusting. Don't do it you'll be so disappointed. Beer was fine and it seemed like a nice place. Not an Indian though. Well, not what I'm used to living in UK and visiting Goa a few years ago.

Fantastic restaurant with super nice food. Excellent and attentive service, all dishes were well explained to us and good size portions meant nobody will go home hungry.

Restaurant is always empty which should be the biggest indicator to anyone.

Very dim restaurant. Quality of food has deteriorated over the years. The quality of staff as well. The manager is always on a break when needed.

When asked to take the leftovers home, they mixed a butter chicken and prawn coconut curry in one container: so either the staff member was plain stupid or spiteful although they were tipped well.

I wouldn’t recommend Patiala to anyone considering there are much better Indian restaurants in Dubai.

Nice restaurant! I had a team dinner here and we ordered 3 sets. Food quantity is huge, quality is good. Ambience is fine. Service is moderate.

A finessed finedine Indian restaurant right in middle of Dubai, Patiala has it all for you, a splendid array of veg n non veg choices, with the chef taking care of dietary restrictions, you are spoilt for choice. Thanks guys!

Recently got a chance to try culinary art of Chef @rawat.bharat7 and I must say he speaks magic through his dishes.

They have a wide range of menu with Authentic Indian dishes of Appetizers, Main Course, Desserts and Drinks.

I really enjoyed each and every bite of the meal.

Food is not at all tasty, neither presentable, nor fresh. Breads we ordered twice & both the time it was hard & dry like poppadoms. Murgh kurchan dish was recommended by the staff their & it was a flop to be called as a chicken recipe as it was more like a capsicum salad. Its not even worth for the cost. The only dish tasted good was Murgh Kebab platter in starters. Ambience is okay, but no outside view. Staff are good & helpful.

Most yummy kebabs i had in recent time veg and non veg both. They got the best people to serve as well as to cook, manager seem so polite and friendly to customers. A great place to enjoy dining the most loved desi food. Definitely going again.

Went to the restaurant for dinner. Location of the restaurant is inside the Souk Al Bahar. It wasn't much crowded when we went there but Reservations is recommended as the restaurant started to fill up as night passed.

There was option for individual dishes or buffet (Veg / Non Veg). We opted for Non Veg buffet and it was worth it. Got served with kebabs in starter and Biryani, Daal and Qaurma in main dishes and capped with really tasty dessert in the end. Drinks were not included in the buffet.

Overall the food was tasty and we were actually surprised with the Serving of the dishes as the quantity was more than enough for 2 people. They also offered to pack the remaining items for take away.

Pricing wise, the restaurant is expensive and it cost us around 450 AED for 02 people buffet with soft drinks. The staff though was very friendly and cooperative. Recommended for a visit to celebrate some special occasion.

Its a decent place for indian cuisine in the heart of souk. Two minutes walking distance from burj khalifa. Loacation can be bit tricky but you can ask someone. I would recommend to order set menu as it covers delicious meal. Both veg and non veg options available. Reservation is required but they can accomodate depending on availability of seating. They offer variety of drinks as well. Service was pretty quick and serving size was more than enough.

Very average food today. They really need to improve the quality of food. Overpriced for quality of food served.

I've visited this place with company iftar. The iftar is a set menu with accent on Indian food with two options - veg and non-veg. I am not so familiar with Indian food itself, but my colleagues mentioned, that the food style is traditional. So despite being newby with Indian cuisine, I liked the restaurant and the food.
The price is more in expensive side of the scale (but this is OK for Souk al Bahar area - where most of the restaurants are expensive).
It was unfortunate, that there is no windows and the place looks dark - so you cannot enjoy that much of Burj Khalifa view or Fountains from the restaurant itself.
However, if you are looking for tasty Indian food and you are fine with no view - this place looks like a good choice. And yes, iftar was really good Indian food as I mentioned.

Restaurant was almost empty on a Friday night, was expecting the food to be excellent.the starters were good but the main course was average, it felt fresh which is a good thing but the price was not worth it. There are so many small Indian restaurants in Dubai where you will get same tasting food.btw restaurant has no windows and the whole location also feels pretty weird. Toilets are somewhere far. Big fan of Chef Kunal Kapoor and expected much more from this restaurant, had also heard good things. I assume quality has gone down with time.we paid around 750 AED (180 chf) which is high even for restaurants in Switzerland.

The food was good but really what made the evening for our families gathering was the lady singer who had such a beautiful voice that we were all mesmerized by her songs. The staff was also courteous and professional. Priced much higher than usual though the food n atmosphere was very good. Will go again

Good food and atmosphere.
We got the set for 2 and was more like food for 4 people. Taste was very authentic and staff was professional.

Excellent restaurant, excellent food, excellent service. The staff is awesome. I asked for the chef to make some thing which was not even part of the menu and he quickly made it and made it so delicious (Chicken Kaathi Roll). Very good place.
Jaljeera is amazing too which Chef made that specially for us. I was in Dubai for just 2 nights and was tired after all the travelling and this place served the right stuff to us. Highly recommended

Good & the service was excellent. However I felt, it is quite overpriced, don't know why? No great ambience, no view of the Dubai fountain, small place. Eg. Chicken platter is AED 250 for 10 pcs. Add 25 for one chicken piece is not justified. Liked the food, but its not, value for the money spent.

Probably my favourite restaurant. My first visit was before 2018.
Location, interior, seating are very attractive, ambient, comfortable, cozy.

Staff very professional, warm, and are well trained to advise on meals.

On my every visit, the chef would welcome us with a speciality dish which we didn't even order, but would be very delicious.

Hard to tell my favourite items but veg or non-veg everything is great. As well as the desserts.

On one occasion the chef came to say hello to our table as well. Now, Patiala is my first choice for special occasions and if I have guests especially from abroad.

This is a first class place, prices are on the higher side but totally worth it.

My first visit was on a date, then with family, last was on a business dinner.

We were greeted by a gracious hostess who was quite helpful in running us through the menu. The ambience was a bit dreary but the food compensated for that. The portions are quite generous and dal needs a special mention. Prawns were grilled to perfection. Highly recommended

As I don't consume drinks but along with a friend I went inside this. Ambience was ok but guy who was serving and was also on the counter was well behaved.

Must visit place of u r looking for some authentic Indian food. Courteous staff and they guide you nicely through the menu. They are very honest and really good at their job. Super food and good quantity n quality both

Have been here a few times before. Love the ambiance, dim lit and very romantic for any special occasion.they also have some really good deals. The dinks that were served were fun and worth.the food is indian but to suite every taste buds.

Authentic Indian cuisine. Try cheese chilly Naan and Pundina (Mint) paratha with Panner Tikka masala curry. Dal Makhani black daal is utterly butterly delicious. Staff service is well deserved n stands for clapping.

All in all a pretty terrible experience at Patiala, and absolutely not what I would expect from a restaurant in Souk Al Bahar.

The interiors and ambience of the place was dark and gloomy with many things falling apart in numerous places. The ceiling was completely damaged, chairs were falling apart and in shabby condition.

We had an issue with one of our servers having hygiene issues that was unbearable to the point that we had to inform the manager about it.

The chaat and starters were not good. The mains were better. However, despite confirming with the manager regarding the applicable discounts on the phone, prior to visiting the restaurant, the restaurant refused to honor the discounts offered through their partners.

Would not recommend and would not go back.

Sehr gutes indisches Restaurant, inmitten des Souk Al Bahar. Leider kann man von hier keine Fontänen sehen. Elegante Einrichtung, entsprechend hohe Preise, aber ich liebe die indische Küche und habe daher, wie es sich gehört, Biryani gegessen. Leider keine Nüsse dran, wie es es von einigen indischen Restaurants aus Deutschland kenne. Dafür bekam man für den Preis von fast 40 € sehr viel serviert. Das schafft man fast gar nicht alleine. Ich empfehle sich ein Main Menü zu teilen ubd davor noch eine Starter zu nehmen, dann ist der Preis erträglicher. Toiletten befinden sich außerhalb im Souk.

Best restaurant I’ve ever been to. I was very afraid the food might not be worth the money, but it was. It’s the number 1 restaurant I’ve ever tried.

Dubai has high quality of Indian food and this fine restaurant near Dubai mall wins the high competition. Amazing food and kind service. Definitely come back again.

Punjabi restaurant (and cuisine) as the name suggests with the probable distinction of being high end and toned down spices to cater to diverse diners. Chose it for Valentine’s dinner and opted for a sit down meal with a set menu. Turned out to be a very good experience (not having to choose what to eat) and being served 5 nicely styled courses at apt intervals. This ensured we didn’t end up feeling stuffed afterwards, but indeed satiated. Must try. And one can stay back till later to see the place convert into a party spot!

The experience was great! The food was amazing, especially the chicken tikka masala. The service was above and beyond! Joy was so helpful, attentive, and accommodating to our allergies and gluten intolerance. He was so nice and welcoming, he made the experience all the better!

One of the best Indian restaurants in Dubai. The quality of the food and service are really top notch. Last time I ate here was 5 years ago and even still its as I remembered. They're Very consistent which is rather rare in Dubai.

Not often I go alone to eat. This time I did. Great staff that was very nice, good food and central position. The price was 200 AMD for me inc 2 beverages. Not cheap, but maybe one of the best options if you want to eat at a quiet restaurant close to Dubai Mall.

The chaat was good. The starters were tasty. The main course of kheema, daal makhani and butter chkn and biryani was not exceptional. The mojitos were good.

As decoration perfect as the food price is little bit high so we order food for three people with the drinks & Pepsi it cost 730 dirhams, the food were good and service was super good

This place has been around as long as Souk Al Bahar. This tells you how good the food and the service is. Definitely worth trying if you like primo Indian food.

It’s an Indian cuisine day and so we opted for a luxury experience tonight as it was our son’s birthday too. We we went to souq al bahar and chose Patiala Restaurant. It’s a beautifully designed restaurant with gleaming decor. Their staff is very hospitable and each one of them greeted with a warm smile. Since we are always with two demanding toddlers so Dinning out somewhere becomes an adventure for us. Sushil is the guy who had been taking a great care of all our needs and our kids too. Moving towards their menu they have an elaborated menu ranging from appetizers to starters and extensive range of almost all kind of drinks to the main course and at the end a yummy dessert treat too. We had some of the chef’s specialties and I must say their chef Mr. Bharat Singh did justice to what he claimed in the beginning. We started with soups; they had daal dhaniya shorba, murgh malai shorba and mushroom cream soup. My personal favorite was murgh malai shorba n mushroom soup. The serving of soups was in a very unique way. It was much like soup shots which we loved. Then we’re the starters in that we had kamal jad ki shammi (a very unique type of kebab), South Indian style prawn (very tasty), afghani murgh tikka (very tender and scrumptious), Amristsari Seekh kebab (different but not bad) and malai kebab (extremely tender and juicy). That was quite a fiesta. We had some amazingly refreshing drinks too which included candy paan mojito (gives the taste of paan in it and very deliciously refreshing), Rain forest (I found the taste more like of mixed berries inside so it was rich in taste and really good), peanut chocolate colada (it was a virgin colada but I found it a bit heavy) and virgin mojito (fresh lime and helped in digestion). Moving towards main course we ordered lamb biryani (the best biryani I had till date from any Indian restaurant and I just loved their presentation for that), Nalli Nihari (we were expecting much from this but it was okay), chicken tikka masala (good in taste), dal makhni (husband’s favorite) and Patiala Shahi meat (drenched in gravy it too was rich in cultural taste) served with softest assorted breads. At the end we had delish gulab jamun and Pistachio kulfi. They had my heart. It was all in all a great experience with them and I must say it’s highly recommended from our side. Do give it go and let us know how did you find them. You’d love the ambiance, staff, food and value of your money won’t be wasted. Cheers!

Amazing ambience, friendly staff and mouthwatering dishes, everything was just perfect. Sandeep was really warm and friendly and he gave some really nice suggestions while choosing the dishes. This place is a must try for those who like Indian cuisine. I loved the flavours in each dish from starters to main course and dessert. One of the best fine dining restaurant in Dubai.
