I was scared of the reviews before going to this restaurant, but we said lets try it. to our surprise , the food was tasty, the service was good and the portions were big.
So we ordered the three chicken tikka platter, it was delicious, specially the tikka in yoghurt one, was so tender and well spiced, then we ordered butter chicken with white rice and naan and butter naan. the butter chicken was very nice, a good portion of protein and the naan was soooo tasty that we ordered more.
The service was good and the food came fast.

Glad I didnt listen to the reviews.I will come back to try other dishes

Will never come back. Biryani was not fresh. Tastes like fried rice. Dal was also not fresh. Tastes like ready to cook. Service was slow even the restaurants was empty. Credit card machine not working

I went today and I liked the food I was bit scared but overall experience was nice only the card machine wasn’t working and thank god we had the atm card

We went there for friends dinner and the service they provide was pathetic, after placing the order you have to wait for a half day for your food that too without salt, and in which we order two paneer starter they said only one plate is available, I mean like WHAT this I we heard first time anywhere in dxb, and no one is interested in attending you, they took wrong order. All in all I don't recommend to go there otherwise instead of good food you will get worst hosting ever.

Seriously, this restaurant is zero rate. I've ordered some food it's fine but I'm requesting for a small bottle of water the waiter said we don't have. At the end, I went to Starbucks to get a small bottle of water.

We won’t go here again. Some of the food is insane spicy and general quality is bit poor. Level of service is lacklustre. Management should get immediate feedback on customer expectation and overhaul the food offering and services.

Literally the best service and the most delicious food. I never write reviews, but I had to for this place. I loved the butter chicken and naan. I ate in, and ordered a second round to take home.

Really disappointed. Lentil soup was ok but other than that everything was hopeless.
Chicken Tikka, Dal Makhani and the Aaloo Gobhi. This is as basic as it can get. If you can’t make these right, then there is something wrong for sure. Saturday evening 8-9 PM and we were the only family dining in. Explains a lot…
Never going back.

While the service was exemplary, and the presentation charming, the food itself was quite a letdown. Although my wife and I are not Indian, we both have grown up with and appreciate authentic Indian cuisine and this was far from it. The Butter Chicken and Rogan Josh were bland, while the butter garlic Naan was mediocre and not what I would expect from a more upscale establishment. The highlight was being able to pay through "Qlub" at the table by scanning a QR code, which I found to be convenient.

A nice cosy restaurant in Dubai Festival Plaza. The ambience and seating arrangement are nice. The chat we ordered was very well presented and was delicious. Tea was very refreshing.

The food is really not good. I would not recommend anyone visiting. The quality of the food was not good. The taste was not upto Indian food tasting.

The menu choice is great, the food flavours have great depth. Service is fantastic. The menu is really clear for allergens. Loved it!

Lovely view and outside sitting. Chef ranjit and server joginder were awesome with best service. Would love to come back again.

They have a new menu that really surprised me and elevated the quality of their food. Very well conceptualized and fits the international taste. Serving is good and would definitely try this restaurant again.

I have ordered biriyani, fried rice, sheikh kebab. The experience I had was not satisfying. I have noticed flies on my table and the chicken fried rice was like biriyani rice with very little chicken minces. When they asked about my comment on fried rice I have told them this does not look like fried rice. They said they will change it and they gave back the rice more oily and with little more chicken prices. I could not eat it because it’s too oily. The sheikh kebab was nice and the naan came along with was really nice.

Everything is very delicious. Ask before ordering to make you non-spicy food if you do not like it.

I highly recommend trying the tomato soup.it is very tasty.

Waiter Sheikh Ali helped us with everything.

We were excited to go to Peppermill for the ambiance from outside was great. The staff was polite and welcoming.

However, the food itself is nothing to comment about. Just another average restaurant, but a little too price for the quality. It was surprising that the chutney was served in a plastic plate and main plate itself did not look very clean.

Customer service was good but taste of the food doesn’t meet the price.cocktail was very sour.needs to improve the quality of the food

The starters are very tasty and in particular the veg starter is awesome and it’s like meat like tastes. Lamb Briyani pieces are big and well cooked.service could be better

We were craving for India food after the movies at the Dfc mall we were recommended by our friends to visit peppermill restaurant, ordered some moglai dishes butter chicken and BBQs with garlic naan, loved the recommendation from the server Pragyan.amazing service even my nephew's enjoyed the meal.

Delicious Indian food served at Peppermill with great service and a friendly vibe thats popular with Asian residents who clearly enjoy the great food being served at this long established restaurant. They do great deals including business lunch offerings. Looking forward to our next supper visit soon! Highly recommended!

A nice quiet restaurant located at Dubai festival plaza near Ikea. The restaurant had a fair number of patrons on a Friday afternoon. The food options are plenty to choose from. Their mixed grill platter and Indian chaats are yumm.as were their biryanis. Do give this place a try.

I ordered online and usually the delivery takes 45min, but they took 2 hours and the call center agent takes so long to respond and tells me that your food will arrive with in 15min but it doesn't, even the food prices are very costly it's not a good restaurant and I advice you not to eat here nor order anything

I ordered AWADHI MURGH KORMA (AED 55) with Butter Naan And Garlic Naan.

The food was kinda of average and not as tastey as I expected for the price.

The service also was OK, there was nothing wrong with the service as I was the only customer.

Overall: AVERAGE!
I didn't find anything exceptional to visit again!

We had a memorable lunch today at Peppermill (Festival Plaza). The food, starting from the starters to dessert, was absolutely delicious and we left with happy and satisfied stomachs. Special mention to the Shahi Tukda and Rogan Josh. Highly recommended dishes.
Happy to have had our first lunch of 2022 at Peppermill.

My family and I happened to reach Peppermill for lunch yesterday (we had 2 one-year old babies with us). This was our fifth or sixth visit to Peppermill owing to the great tasting food.

However, yesterday we had a pretty irresponsible and irritating experience.

We chose a table where we could comfortably park the babies strollers (as one of the children was sleeping). We were immediately told by a guy that we could not sit there and were asked to move - because those seats were 'reserved'. We said nothing and moved.

We asked if we could sit at another table which we thought would be ok for us. This guy again refused and said that table is also 'reserved'.

We were given another round shaped couch, which was hard to squeeze into with the babies. Nevertheless we squeezed in and managed to settle down. Once we finished settling down, this same guy comes around and tells us - if you want to move to another table, you can move. This was so disrespectful and surprising, since it was so evident that we had just managed to calm down our babies and fit into such a small sitting arrangement.

We said we were ok and didn't want to move anymore.

Then we saw another family coming in (no babies or toddlers, only adults) who seemed to be uncomfortable with the first table shown to them. They asked for the table we had previously requested for, and this guy went straight away, removed the Reserved sign, and gave them the table.

Do reservations only apply for families with babies?

We ordered food and were waiting. After a while, this guy comes and places food on our table - none of which we had ordered. On realizing that the wrong items had been given to us, he sent another waiter boy Rahul to cone and take back the food. All of this drama was so awkward and if not for how hungry we were, we would have just walked out.

This guy comes back to us seeing us getting agitated and says sorry in a very bland way. We just told him to leave.

This is not the way you treat your customers. Special mention to Rahul and the lady who attended well to us for their concern and attention to our needs.

The most surprising thing was that this guy is their manager - Mr Rajkumar.
We honestly will never go back to Peppermill if we see this person inside. He lacks customer service manners and empathy. We called back at the restaurant in the evening to enquire about to whom we could report this behavior and the phone was answered by Mr Rajkumar himself. He refused many times to provide us with the Operations Manager’s number and gave us an equal hard time over the phone.

I believe such people bring down the rating of such restaurants where the food is incredible and the overall restaurant ambience is also nice.

I am writing this review after receiving a sincere consideration and apology from Peppermill as a follow-up on my previous bad experience.
I was contacted by Ms Kiran - Operational manager of the restaurant who personally apologized for the behavior of Mr Rajkumar. We were even sent a compensatory meal from the restaurant as an apology. I really appreciate the consideration and extra measures taken by the restaurant and especially Ms Kiran to make sure we would give the restaurant another chance.

The food as usual did not fail to impress.

Curries need not be sweet or tangy if its not spicy.good luck finding the right mix of spices, ingredients, aroma and appeal.

The food was not fresh (felt like frozen veggies and dauce) and not tasty.we ordered panner tikka subzu handing butter Nan and cheese garlic nan

The staff was OK.there were cob webs behind the seating area

Calm and Quiet place to enjoy food with family if your are at Festival Plaza (Jebel Ali).

Quality of the food and especially the attitude and behaviour of the staffs are great. Ambiance is also cool!

This restaurant is located on first floor near to Lulu.

Better visit before 9: 45pm on week days.

Cost is bit on a higher side but it’s worth spending since quality of the food, the service and the ambiance are great.

Food is tasty, I tried crispy tanduri allo remind me the taste of my village food. Rest we tried daal makhni and kofta, veg biryani all are well prepared and tasty, Quantity is little less and price is moderate high, which is balance through zameto application with pro discount option.

My guests from another country were so impressed they’d messaged me for the name and location later.

We ordered Prawns Biriyani (soft and juicy prawns, light masala for the rice), Chicken Biriyani (chicken was soaked in the sinfully delightful masala), Shahi Nawabi Murgh (Chicken in Cashew Gravy, best curry I’ve had in a while, perfect with Naan/Roti), Sabz Diwani Handi (a delight for the vegetarians, an absolute dish in itself) and Gonghra Paneer Tikka (was okay).

There was a vegetarian among us, and noticing him being vocal about the quality of the food was sweet to my (host’s) ears.

Biryanis were priced at 68/58 for the Prawn/Chicken, Shahi Nawabi Murgh was a 55, Sabz Handi a 38. Only the Paneer Tikka at 55 felt overpriced for the quantity. Quality was not an aspect warranting any questions.

Recommended!

The food was on the expensive side with little portion. The ambience of the restaurant is a top notch atleast when compared to the other Indian restaurant. Park at lulu parking so it will be easily accessible.
Must try are the deserts shahi tukda

The food was great. The tandoori chicken is must try. Butter chicken n karare palak chat.
Sheekh kebab r a must.

Fine dining place inside Festival Plaza mall. Do try their Kurkura Palak, Lentil soup and Kathal Masala.

I used to visit this particular branch at least once in two months but I don't frequent it any more because the staff look tired and disinterested. It's like when you visit a friend's house and they don't welcome you gladly but out of formality. I mean, I'm still paying for your services, right? In fact, with prices having been increased over time, you'd expect the management to keep the place alive, welcoming and bustling.

Was scared when we read the reviews but since we were already there we decided to take the risk and order food. We ordered the sharing platter, chaat platter, prawn mollie, butterchicken. Amazingly tasty food. I was genuinely surprised how this restaurant has got Bad reviews. If you like Indian Food that is not killer spicy but actually have flavours the do come here. Ask for Rahul he is really helpful.

Went to try as got coupons but was not quite happy with the taste. We ate non veg but whatever was ordered was not upto the mark.

Good interiors. Food is ok. There is no choice of egg dishes. Service is not great. Doesn’t recommend this location for a true and hospitable Indian food and cultural experience.

Very disappointed on the food service. We received half of our meals and for second half we needed to wait for more than 10 minutes.
They should do something with a look and feel of the restaurant.
Music is not appropriate to the restaurant concept and place is very dark and clattered with unused furniture.

Pathetic food and service, chicken tandoori tikka was not fully cooked. Only offered to replace and no apologies or chef or manager visiting the table until i gave a piece of mind two waiters running around like monkeys mixing up orders took us a while to get some water on the table! They mixed up our main course as well despite repeating the order back. This place and overall service was pathetic and a disgrace to a Lulu run group. Have been vising Peppermill Festival city for a very long time but will never visit this restaurant again. Extremely disappointed

The ambience is good. However the veg food was not good. Especially the Hare Bare Sabzi was clearly made from frozen vegetables mixed with packed tomato gravy and should be renamed Hurry Burry Sabzi. Disappointed!

Not Living up to the Peppermill Mark!

We decided to go for dinner at Peppermill as we thought that the service would be similar to the Dubai Mall Branch. Apparently not! The waiter took 20 minutes to show up to our table and take down our order. After another 15 mins the starters showed up to the table. The chicken was bland and RAW! We called the waiter and explained the situation to him, he wanted to change it but we had already started to loose our appetite.
The even disappointing fact was that nobody showed up to appologze or took responsibilty for the mistake.
Further waiting, we called the waiter and asked for the manager, the manager tried to cover up the mistake by stating that it was chicken fat and the way its cooked and that it was not raw.

The main course showed up later. The order was wrong. They had managed to mess up our main course as well, despite repeating it correctly. We had lost our interest of even complaining as the two unprofessional workers were extremly confused and running between the 4 tables.

It was sad and pathetic to see such a reputed company hire unprofessional staff and fail so bad at delivering even adequate customer service.
This branch alone is a disgrace to the Peppermill Franchise.

Service was excellent - abishek was the brilliant a very good guy. The starters were great - the food - it was really high quality no doubt. Well done to the chef.

I visited Peppermill for the first time last week. Since I was accompanied by a pure vegetarian friend we decided to order veg-only items.
Hence we decided on ordering Paneer Kadhai, Sabz Biryani, and Dal Tadka. I don’t usually eat paneer, but my friends really wanted to order it, so silently I added Dal to the order so I could eat it instead (I was in for a great surprise)

Below is product-wise review

1. Paneer Kadhai
Like I said, I don’t eat paneer so it was my first time trying this Kadhai. And it definitely won’t be my last. The kadhai was amazing. So good that I ended up over-stuffing myself and had to literally ask my friends to have it removed from the table so that I’d stop eating. I’m definitely going back for more

2. Sabz Biryani
I usually eat veg biryanis but this one was not my cup of tea. The essence of kewra was added more than was required which overpowered the entire biryani’s taste and it ended up being the dish that was eaten the least (not ordering it again)

3. Dal Tadka
Dal is one of the safest menu options, one can hardly ever go wrong with it. However, they did mess it up. The Dal was super bland (no salt, no spice) and couldn’t even be saved by pickles. Wouldn’t recommend it till the restaurant’s at least rectified the recipe

We also ordered drinks (masala chaas, pomegranate blush, and lemon+mint). Overall the drinks were good, pomegranate blush topping the list though.

The service was abysmal. The restaurant had a total of 2 tables filled, one was us (3 people) and another couple on the second table.
It took the restaurant ages to fulfil the order. I’d still pass that, however, given the less number of people in the restaurant, one does expect some level of increased attention and service from the staff. There was no one attending to the table, we literally had to call out to the waiting staff again and again for roti. The drinks too took extremely long. Our food was almost finished by the time our drinks came:/

Overall, the only thing that’ll pull me back to this place will be it’s paneer kadhai which i really enjoyed with garlic naan.

The interior decor was good. The food was of amazing taste and well presented. The food was excellent and mouthwatering taste. The service was fast & fantastic. Had palak papdi chaat which was outstanding and tasty. The menu is a rich array of traditional Indian cuisine, but mild enough for the Western palate. Compliments to the chef and all the staff for bringing us a little bit of India on a platter in a most spectacular fashion. Recommend for all types family, friends or as individual can go and relish the taste.

We are fond of Desi fusion food. And PEPPERMILL serves such amazing choices in terms of vegetarian and non vegetarian both. The presentation is beautiful and that matters because food should not only taste good it should look good too.

I was greeted at the entrance and shown my table. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions regarding the various dishes.

This is what we had for lunch
Soup - Tomato soup & lentil soup
Salad - Chicken Caesar salad
Starters - Chaat platter & Kataifi prawns
Main course - Dal makhani, prawn moilli, railway mutton curry, awadhi chicken korma & chicken biryani.
Desserts - Gulab jamun & Shahi Tukda
Along with that We had Mango lassi which was in a gorgeous jar and the quantity of one jar was good for two.

Our soup, salad and starters were outstanding in terms or taste and presentation. We were very happy with our main course and the portion size too. The prawn moilli with the coconut was intriguing. The Kataifi prawns were utterly delightful too. And I ate the daal Makhni on its own rather that with naan that’s how nice it was. I liked the presentation of the dessert and the twist to the Shahi Tukda too.

All in all it was a good experience. Shout out to Raj Kumar Singh for his excellent customer service.
