OK, I don't want to rain on anyone's parade here, but seriously? 35,000 dirhams for full teacher training? Are you for real? That's 10,000 dollars if you want to do all the equipment plus mat and the basics of the human body! They don't even charge that on the west coast! It costs littterally half of that in the world's most expensive capitals with big name schools. I understand the studio design and location is expensive and the machines/setting look great, but if you're going to cater to only one segment, at least make the prices remotely comparable? I even think it's less than that in Pilates on Fifth itself, which leads me to wonder, does it even include private mentorship hours? And even if it does, even if the number of hours are double, it's still double the price. Oh and not only that, according to the website, you have to apply and submit your resumee too.

Reformer, Athletic Reformer, Cadillac, full academy are my favorite classes with Pilates Academy. I used to frequent Pilates Academy in business bay for Aerial Pilates with Claudia who I adore and I simply love attending Victoria’s class in JLT. I have attended one-off classes with other instructors as well, and they were also super! Will definitely keep attending these classes with them! (I have yet to try chair!). What’s common in all of the teachers Ive attended classes with is that they really pay attention to you and keep an eye on you, your movement and correct your method to make sure you’re getting it right. There are two best Pilates studios for me and they’re one of them!

After practicing Pilates for around 5 years, I decided it was time for me to go a bit deeper and I joined the Anatomy training in Pilates Academy, with Cloè.
Cloè is extremely passionate and knowledgeable and she makes sure to transfer to you whatever she knows, and whatever you need to have the right knowledge for starting your pilates teaching journey. It is not only a training about muscles, bones and their interactions - it's a whole experience on how to look at and work with the body, gaining and sharing confidence and understanding, and apply the knowledge to your everyday activities.
On top of this - it's a training that is suitable for anybody with any background. I loved the fact that in our class we had people with super diverse backgrounds and experiences - and one common passion: pilates!

I just don't understand the politics of this place. I had some questions that I asked on Instagram, like why there is Milan and New York on the logo when there is actually no such studio in either city (seems they created a spin-off name from Pilates on Fifth in NYC which has Pilates Academy International as its syllabus so that it can 'seem' like a branch but under that logo, there is no such thing, which is quite fraudulent i'd say). I also asked whether the teachers in the 'family team' pic have moved from the studio I tried in Mirdif, and just like that, I was blocked (and she removed my reply under one of her replies)! Before that, I had heard a lot of mixed reviews (some saying the sunny studio is worth the hype, others not) so I decided to visit one day after calling (what seemed a very ditzy assistant!) for directions but didn't have time to try the classes altho the equipment was very inviting. Sunny indeed (with solo pictures of the owner all over the place which even the owner of Pure Pilates - who hosts celebrities like Nicole Sherzinger and Jay Grimes himself - doesn't have!). No one at the door, no one to show you around (although you hear giggles inside). Eventually I had to go inside to make myself known, and I made clear that the website is confusing (two categories for bookings, one for classes and one for appointments even though they are also classes). I had to figure that out for myself because the assistant didn't tell me! Even here on reviews for example, why are at least 5 of the reviews from the actual staff? ! (including, one from the owner, one from the assistant i spoke to on the phone and what seems her husband from the pic, and two from the teachers? !) Similarly, why is there a whole passage written by a woman named Margaret Ogul plagiarised under "few" "myths to dispel" on the website (you can tell by the fluid english since the rest of the website is, in the owner's words, "wonky"). Why do all of these Dubai studios send us links and urge us to vote during FitAward season so they can win, while this one marketed the first win as from out of nowhere and didn't even thank the voters under the smiley pics (altho Reps UAE made clear you pay 175 to enter per category and then get votes) ? !? Speaking of Insta, why are there strange non-pilates pics? This type of stuff totally undermines the credibility of the place in a country with actually strict regulations.and why are all the stories/captions promising "exciting news"? How is that supposed to excite ppl, especially when the exciting news/"special treats" doesnt come at the end of the week it was promised in!? As lovely as the studio is, I personally can't see past that stuff, so opted for studios in the middle of Dubai like Real Pilates/Reform Athletica (killer workouts, the pounds just drop) in Jumeira, Dhyana in Business Bay and the Hundred Wellness and of course Susannah at Pure Pilates in Tecom (Dhyana, Hundred and Pure are filled with sunshine, spacious and are fully equipped). Sorry, not at all sold on the "Chloism" (but really wanted to give it a try despite hearing from a colleague that one woman traveled for a training that was canceled without being told and another telling me the class she attended, although small, had very basic queuing, which makes all the difference when on machines that are made effective for fitness wherever you would go).

I attended most of Pilates Academy’s courses in 2018 and honestly I feel that i am now part of the PA family. Cloe is an amazing teacher full of knowledge and has the ability to deliver it in the simplest way. Her passion and love for what she does is reflected in every class or course she gives. She tries to encourage every student/ instructor and even her team members to become a better in what they do. Her positive vibes make every class joyful!

With her courses i became more aware of my posture, muscles and my body has never looked better!

Thank you Cloe for making all courses so interesting and much more fun! You are a star! Thanks to her dream team for making the whole experience better. You rock!

I tried every Pilates studio in Dubai and this is the only place where ALL THE instructors have a real knowledge.
Very convenient: open 7/7 with courses from 7am to 9 pm and offers a great VARIETY of mat classes (Pilates mat, core, Cardio, Body art challenge, aerial,) and all the equipments as well: reformer, chair and cadillac. What makes a difference and helped me improve incredibly? For every equipment class, only 3 people max can attend so the Coach is super carefull and this makes a big difference. They have an outstanding knowledge dealing with my multiple injuries. The team is so kind and friendly, you feel a family atmosphere which makes it always a pleasure to come.
Be careful: ADDICTIVE;-)
a big BRAVO and THANK YOU to my Marianne, Paola, Chloe,

When you get into the studio you will find the equipments everywhere without a receptionist representing the studio. I had to look around for someone to give me info out the packages and I find a room on the corner of the apt and this girl is sitting on the phone with her legs up and asks me if I need anything. Well, yes I do, I’m looking for someone who can assist me with the packages and classes. So she gets a paper and writes down the information upside down and I wasn’t understanding what she was writing and I mentioned to her that I wasn’t understanding what she was writing down and she completely disregarded what I said.
After all the bla bla blas about the classes I ask what group classes are available on Mondays and wed morning because it’s the only time of the week that I can join, she tells me that there are no group classes only one on one. Up to this point I thought ok, then I won’t be able to join. So she tells me that I can do mix package meaning having 5 classes alone and 5 group classes and I told her that it doesn’t work for me because I will waste my money because there are no group classes on the dates that I can join. She comes back and tells me ‘well yes unless you want to pay us we will keep your money and you won’t be able to attend the classes’. I told her that’s not cool. It was such a retarded comment and made this whole experience in this studio making me want to leave. But I wanted to check out the equipments so she showed me around and I really lost interested in it and I left thinking to myself what a waste of my time! So unprofessional.
