We visited Reform Social & Grill at Expo City and was utterly disappointed with the food. We ordered the pie, assuming its a freshly prepared pie, just to find it's a frozen pie that got reheated in the oven.

We also ordered the Rogan Gosht and looked and tasted like it was a pre-packed airline meal that got heated. The waitress had to be reminded about the extra condiments, as it was not brought to the table at first.

My daughters chicken strips were slightly burnt and sad to say the only highlight of our meal was the French Fries.

Really hoped the atmosphere, look and feel of the place would at least half match the food.

The manager needs to be retrained. Ultimately he is responsible for the simply awful service. Not one of the waiting staff looks at their tables and customers. All walking around with their heads in the cloud. No wonder the place was half empty on a Saturday afternoon.

I’ve eaten a fair few Sunday roasts in my 50 years on this planet - it’s kind of a big deal when I say this Sunday roast was one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. The beef was perfect.

Had a lovely time, all were very friendly, but they should mention more clearly if food has pork.

Extremely poor service. I have been twice in the last two month and on both occasions they “forgot about drinks. ” Yesterday I waited 35 mins for a drink after chasing up two times. Also saw numerous other customers frustrated asking about food/Cheques. Staff don’t seem to care at all. Avoid.

Food is quite nice but quite expensive, service was better than previous visits but staff still appear when you’re in the middle of a conversation… indoor atmosphere quite nice overall. It sits right on the line of “I’ll begrudgingly pay that, but I’d have a nicer time and visit more often if it was better value”

I came before mid week for lunch and was ok. But this time, it is shockingly bad.
I came for a sunday quiet time and ordered a beed salad and local water and guest what:
- the salad had cold cuts and no beed. It was for 98 dhs while the portion is embarrassingly small worth 30 dhs
- i ordered local water. Guess what i got: filtered tap water. Though price paying for mineral water
- outside is ok but inside is a crouded chaos. It is not a place for quality time for crowds

I really thought i will have a quality time with good food. But unfortunately was a total weekend disappointment. The photo am sharing is to show you the small size and poor salad for 98 dirhams

Honestly the chef and the manager should be embarrassed.
I know restaurant should be profitable but this is not the right way.

Won't own up to their own mistake. No customer oriented attitude. Tried to lie their way out of their own miscommunication. Not people I want to deal with. Reservation lady only cares for money, I quote: "I cannot (risk) giving you table for ten people and making only 200 out of it". Wake up please. No one want to save when going out. And no one wants to be pushed for minimum spends. 150 per person if you ask.

Great food, chilled atmosphere especially when the weather is good and you can enjoy the outdoor space. Service was also great. Just noticed that the glasses are extremely worn out with a lot of scratches so it is probably time to replace them.

Usually a great place for a casual meal! Tonight was very different.very poor waiter service and when I sent my meal back nobody appeared concerned or even asked why! Very dissatisfied this evening.

Lovely place to.go with kids and family. It's green and quite you can enjoy a great dinner.
They have an english menu (burger fish and chips pork), beers.
Fish and chips is good but a bit expensive (but it can be a meal for two)

The management needs to pay attention to all reviews here as it represents the whole picture of the ambience of the place!

I'd say the location is the only advantage there
The staff is not well educated, slow and not respectful to the clients (I mean to those who make this place still be operative)
The food is average, there's nothing exceptional and at the same time it's overpriced
The furniture needs to be restored or replaced as well as the restroom

It's a really nicely decorated venue, large, good menu, pricey however. Service is very slow, 1 hour wait for breakfast that costs 120aed, I'd expect much much more than the level of service given. Improve that, and this place would be amazing.

Bland breakfast and terrible presentation. I've never seen my 8 year old look so disappointed. Also, they don't serve fresh juice with kids' breakfasts, opting for boxed juices instead. I'd rather eat at home.

Awful service! We have to ask over and over for the drinks we ordered, and at the end we gave up. The veggie burger was the worst I ever had in my life. No flavor and it completely falls apart when trying to eat it. The one good thing is the outdoors, but smoking is allowed so not very enjoyable. Don’t think we are ever coming back.

The worst place I've ever visited in my life! I'm new to Dubai, having moved here just a month ago. A friend suggested we visit this place (usually held in high-regard by those who frequent it) for Xmas lunch. We arrived as a group of six, having pre-paid 550AED (about GBP112) per person for a three hour beer and wine window (that also included a four-course meal). For GBP700, it was a tad pricey but we thought we would fork out and enjoy ourselves before heading off to our individual evening plans.

However, it was absolute carnage when we arrived. Within the four hours we were seated, we only received our starters (the mains arrived at the final hour, and I had to scoff down my lukewarm Xmas lunch as I had plans after I had to rush off to). My friends stayed an additional hour or so more than me, and managed to get their deserts but no cheeseboard (the final course). I'm not much of a drinker, so it cost me 550AED for x2 Diet Cokes, x2 beers and a salmon starter. Literally.

Of the few wait staff that were there, they stayed huddled around the bar, chatting and joking around with each other, when they should have been serving drinks to the tables and ensuring everyone was okay. And on multiple occasions, I had to run up to the bar to serve our table/collect drinks, as the service was literally non-existent. None of the on-ground staff could offer us an explanation as to why it took so long to get our food and we were just left sitting around, waiting for our Christmas lunch. My friends finally got served but I had to dash off. Every other person in the restaurant was FUMING! Some people waited up to five hours to get their mains. And there was no sign of the manager.

While I was walking out, I could see a huge queue of people who had booked and paid their money in advance but couldn't be seated and missed out on their Xmas dinner and plans (absolutely ruined!). Most people were angry, some upset. I spoke to one girl who convinced her family to come over from London to celebrate Christmas in Dubai, only to have it ruined by this restaurant's greed and mismanagement. This is what happens when you have a "Jack-The-Lad" manager (common in Dubai), who was nowhere to be seen and left his mismanaged restaurant to be run on a very important and on one of their busiest days/events with inexperienced staff, who couldn't make decisions to save their lives. It's absolute greed on their part. My advice? Avoid at all costs.

Update: The restaurant has offered to give us some of our money back. Appreciated from our side. Thank you and - hopefully - lesson learned. I've changed this review to a three-star as they managed the backlash well.

The ambience is nice, it's lively, though food is not so great, greasy and heavy. I'm not drinking alcohol so prefer having coffee or tea here.

New Year's Eve Nightmare
It used to be a great restaurant. It has gone downhill from service to food. New Year's Eve was sad, disappointing and bland. No effort made to make this night special for regular guests and families. Shocking entertainment and cheap Dragon Mart decorations. We won't be returning.

Trendy Bar, English pub theme, good variety of food, pub type of grub, big helpings also serving pork dishes etc banger and mash fish and chips so on,

Good roast and deal with the one hour of wine -which was actually very palatable- is good value. The dinner itself was very good and service very good

Great place to have something to eat/drink and enjoy with your friends while your kids play around. Their burgers are amazing. In addition it's pet friendly place.

Great little spot for a traditional English breakfast and one of the few places in Dibai you can actually take our dog.

Not impressed on my last. Table was sticky and asked staff to clean it and they did reluctantly. Cleaning didn't make much difference. Unattentive staff. Poor menu nothing as a sharing option. Drinks overpriced. Won't be going back anytime soon

Great place to go have a drink and eat. They are very pet friendly so if you have a dog take it along with you. They will also provide small bowl of water for them.
The food is really good and they except entertainer vouchers.

Breakfast was really good for us but not very helpful for my kid.just asked for a half portion of yoghurt and was told they will give it me for the same price as the chef won’t do it! What a shame no flexibility especially as they gave 2 half portions and must have thrown the other one away

Been to this venue multiple times but after the recent experience i doubt will go back anytime soon. They charge a whopping 58aed for pint of beer were reluctant in making it mexican style for me ans said they were out of nuts to give with the beer. Provided the details my verdict is overpriced with poor customer service. Needless to say no tip was left

Came here for Breakfast, bit disappointed that they (reform) now have removed both the regular english breakfast and champion breakfast from the entertainer despite the entertainer app saying that 2 for 1 breakfast item. Time to find another regular breakfast venue.

So we went there for a nice late breakfast on the terrace. It has a great outside area, plenty of space for kids to play, ample seating space and the staff has been friendly and helpful. Now to the 2 star rating. You can see as the plate arrives that the chef has put absolutely no effort in these. If you consider the price tag which is very steep, you’d expect the quality to follow. When they say pancakes with banana, that is literally all you get. Overall, could be a great place, but for me the food is a no go, especially at these prices.

Great food and great vibe at this British gastropub.

Excellent menu choice and consistently good food.

Service is good. Venu is child friendly.

Advised to book at peak times as it can get really busy.

This place used to be our favorite.
Nice ambiance, good beer and nice warm bread before food.

This blue cheese salad used to come in a nice plate and tasted so much better. There's no bread now, unless you ask and they charge for it. The staff has changed as well.

Anyway, not sure if they have a new management, but this has been going on for a while. We had a bad experience a few months ago and decided to give it another try today. Guess this was the last one. What a pity.

Great roast dinners, and pub style menu. This restaurant/pub will definitely tick the box if you are looking for some of the British pub favourite meals. It's quite a large restaurant with a good sized bar, and also a large area outside/beer garden. The staff are knowledgeable and polite, and it's usually quite a busy place. I have to say it's the best pub roast I have had in Dubai.

Very good evening. Watched the rugby outside on the big screen while the two children played in the small park. Enjoyed a couple of alcoholic beverages and then had some food. The staff arranged for our taxi back to hotel. Overall a very pleasant evening.

It used to be green at some point but sadly they don't bother with the grass anymore. The place s got potential n kids can have fun.it could be THE near by pub but it's scattered service is horrible and menu is empty

Amazing place with outdoor sitting, live music (only on weekends I think), but a bit overpriced and service is.meh.depends who you get on the day.

This review is on the service level specifically: it's not normal for a bottle of water to be served 20 mins late and after asking 3 times, or for a piece of steak to be served 50 mins after the order is placed, what's worse is the waiters taking the orders arguing and believing so deep inside they can't help much because a different set of waiters do the serving part! I looked around to see is it only me, but all tables looked to have the same frustration of completely lost and helpless waiters. To be fair, the food quality is good and the singer was great, overall the ambience is nice but servicing needs a serious boost.

The food is not what it used to be, meh and they could not cook a burger medium well. It kept coming medium raw, 4 times. Things looking worn and a shabby and toilet out of paper.

Not very organised, our booking wasn't available when we arrived, drinks and food took ages to come, if they did at all.
