I came in to look for rhinestones for garment embellishing - they had a very good selection of acrylic, glass and even crystal rhinestones and the team was amazing at helping to pick out the most suitable ones for me. They also have a huge selection of just about everything needed for sewing and decorating any kind of clothes. Will definitely be visiting them again very soon.

The place is small but packed full of almost all sewing, knitting, crochet and craft essentials. The place almost always rips me off, but I sure have all that I need in my projects and more

It got all you need crafting wise.the only thing is that I found the prices extremely high.same products found cheaper at nearby shops on the same street.
I gave it 2 stars for the variety (all in one but very expensive one).

This place is amazing it has everything you can imagine.

I came to this place after i called in earlier and asked them if they had silk thread with them. They told me yes and that i should come in to see it my self. I traveled quite a bit to reach their shop and so that they had a thicker version of this so called "silk thread". I asked them if this was real and they said 'Yes'.

I didnt know how to test it myself so i took their word for it. I had to go other places anyway.

So came home, i tried to fit it through my rudraksha mala and it didnt go through. Then i cut this thread at the end and it split enough for me to see that it wasnt "Silkish looking". I looked online to see what test you can do to see if silk is real and tried the burn test.

So genuine silk burns and has the smelt of burnt hair and there is NO FLAME and synthetic ones has the smell of burnt plastic and does have a flame. Sure enough, when i burnt it, it had the smell of platic and burnt plastic formed at the end as seen in picture. There was also a flame and it burnt really quickly like how plastic would.

I bought it for 8 AED.

Very bad customer service. My experience there wasn't very pleasant and I complained about the customer service to the guys that were there and I had no idea that the guy I was talking to was actually the owner! I was shocked to find out that this is the example he sets for his workers.very disappointing although the shop has really nice things and good variety

My favorite DIY spot in Satwa.
The entire alley has plenty of various stores where you can get everything A to Z for embroidery, sewing, knitting both needles and hooks.

Zippers, threads, yarns, needles and pins, plenty of ribbons of various quality, mouline embroidery threads of all shades, buttons, sparkles, shiny sparkles and so much more.

Guys speaks English, Farsi, Arabic.

Always welcoming. Sometimes when u take big amount you can strike deal, don’t be ashamed of negotiating.

This store sells ribbons, threads, yarns and other stitching materials. Good people and reasonable prices.

If you find a parking then you are lucky. You will find almost what you are looking for but their price is a little high

Nice haberdashery shop. Good variety of ribbons, buttons, hooks, clasps, yarn, embroidery cloth, scissors, needles, etc.

I give it a 5 star rating on variety. You will find everything you need to embellish your projects at a good price. My only con is that the staff is a bit harsh some times (they are super busy most of the time, dealing with us indecisive customers.so it's understandable). You can easily be overwhelmed by the many options they have. The best way to tackle a visit to Ribbons is by taking a materials list of what you want, otherwise you will feel you are drowning in sequins, embroidery thread, and tassels.

My favourite shop in Satwa. Lovely people. Can't wait for it to open again. I need more yarn desperately!
