Saravana Bhavan, Al Barsha

Great food at reasonable prices. The service was also good and food was quickly served after ordering which was awesome because if you want to add more to your order it will likely come out before you are finished everything else. The coffee wasnt that great and we ordered two cheese dosas and one of them was less cheese which was not consistent with the other one.

Very nice south Indian family restaurant. Like the food very much. Especially Dosa, Idly, Parotta.
Sweets and snacks bought from the restaurant wasn't that great.

The food is amazing, slightly overpriced. The place is crowded always, they should consider having a good wash area. Also we couldn't enjoy food much because of the crowd. Next time we would take away. My stars are for the food, but for facilities I would give a 2 star.

Menu says moong dal Dosa is available on Friday. But the waiter says it will take 1 hour to prepare this & asked me to order something else. Problem is the way he approached it. Such well known franchises often get away with bad customer experience. The waiters act like they are doing a charity work& doing us a favor!

This is my first review I am ever writing, but sad with my previous visit to Saravana Bhavan (Near Mall of the emirates) last to last Friday for breakfast. 'Mr. Ganesh'' Probably a supervisor was so rude and gets annoyed as we call him for some assistance. His tone seemed we were receiving charity from him. He probably forgets to behave when there is a rush of orders at peak times. Otherwise food is great as usual, no complains at all.

South indian best food, but little expensive compare to rest of places like karandis, veggies garden etc however food taste good

I generally don't prefer Saravana Bhavan. But our experience in this branch was surprisingly good. Staffs were courteous and food was good.

The desi South Indian food in a non South Indian city of Dubai. Decent food, not the typical South Indian that I like cause I come from the actual South Indian cities. But I enjoyed the dosa, idli and andhara spicy biryani for a change. I did try the main course food as well, it was alright.

Service is quick which is what South Indian cuisine is famous for. Overall given any day, I don’t mind going here for a quick meal. Felt like home away from home.

Hindi review- jo log apne desi taste ke peeche jee rahe hain, I recommend this place for you guys. Mazze se khao jitna kha sakte ho. Feel toh aati hai woh bhi India ke bahar, Indian khane ka feel hi Kuch aur aata hai.

Great vegetarian food specially dosa.
Good hospitality and would come back when ever I feel like having vegetarian food.

Food was OK. Nothing exceptional. It feels like in terms of quality they have fallen down a little. Staff - wasn't friendly and pleasing. They were taking there sweet time and bringing food, not polite while asking questions about order, and it felt like they were not interested at all in attending the customers. They need to improve heavily on this aspect.

No good service, for each action by waiters, I had to call and remind. Poor Cleaning garbage lying around. No good food. Vegetables they serve are cheap ones, I.will not visit this place again.

Forgettable service. The staff least bothered about customers.ordered in advance, upon arrival for pickup, had to wait for 10 mins only to know the order that I waiting was for someone's else.so wrongly billed as well.my order was there all along left in a corner and I had to point that out and the staff was least bothered but was amused upon confronting and asked me to leave without making a fuss.

So that's a big service if anyone would like to personally experience.

Nice clean place and good variety of vegetarian Indian food. Ordered baby corn dosa, which was nice and the chatni were amazing. Gulab jamun was not great, cold and the taste was not up to the mark

Customer Service is not at all good. They don't know the proper way of serving. Such attitude of waiter they have. Spoiled my appetite to eat.

We came on time yesterday afternoon and made the order. After 5 minutes the supervisor came and said we’re busy can’t serve, asked him why? Aid we we see only 3 tables and they are all served! From they way he was talking we decided to leave and will never go back

Perfect for south Indian dishes but the price is high. U can get the same great taste from sangeeta restaurant at a very reasonable rare

New menu with some healthy dosa options is interesting.
Food is always standard and consistent around the world. Tried it in India, Singapore and Dubai. Its just perfect meal always.
Parking in the vicinity is always a bid issue, on Fridays you don't get a slot at all.

The restaurant is located in the heart of Al Barsha, hence parking is an issue. Visited the restaurant for lunch. This branch is not in par with their branches. The staff is less attentive and presentation of the food was not that great. An OK place if you are craving for a south indian thali.

The business strategy was good as long as Annachi was there. The man who ate was given stomach food, which now only works with a focus on money.

Great food for vegetarians. The location was walkable from The Mall of Emirates. We loved the dosas, poori and Thali. The place is pretty spacious and customer service was good every-time we visit.

All the dishes ordered were really bad in taste and texture. Quality too was pretty bad.
The Malai Kofta had nothing to do with Malai/Paneer etc.as it's stuffing. Instead it was a vegetable stuffing, chunks of carrots and beans coming out of it. Absolutely horrid.
The Rava Idli had less of Suji & more of Rice. Hence there was no noticeable difference between the Rava & normal Rice Idli.
Never worth another visit!

Your go to pure veg restaurant for one of the best dosas and Medu vadas in Dubai. Sweets are quite nice too.

Don’t give the filter coffee a miss. It’s totally worth the trip here

My favorite place for a masala dosa. Good indian ambience and nice chai. Walkable distance from MOE.

Food is tasty and it is a decent place but if you're there for breakfast, quite a few items on the menu aren't available until 3 pm or later.

Came here after on a weekend. Had to wait a while because the restaurant was full. But eventually got a seat and had the ghee masala dosa and filter coffee.

Filter coffee was bitter but I enjoyed the masala dosa.

Parking here can be an issue.

I think sarvanna bhavan follows the standard any where you go, the taste is same.
The food was very good and served hot

Buffet lunch is excellent defnitley value for the money you pay for lunch exclusively. 15dhs unlimited.

But service stands same just like you experience in Chennai

Had a very bad experience from Al Barsha branch Dubai. I asked them for a menu while they’re cleaning the shop a guy I think he is a manager he told me that at that time it’s not allowed to come that area also, I just informing here because I loved your food. Any how I’m going to complaint in concerned department of government.at least put little time to give a better training for your staffs.

Worst Experience:

Saravanan Bhavan Stands good for their name but branch like Al Barsha (Near Mall of Emirates) have no value for customers and specially Branch Manager is a Worst every i met in hotel business which he is not fit for his designation. In spite of solving problems he is mocking and yelling at customers. Also in this Pandemic time, he is not wearing any PPE’s and handling customers is a very sad part. Hope it will reach management. A good Branch Manager
can bring good business and customer satisfaction. Worst branch manger ever I met.

Food wasn't good. Would avoid going again to this place. The waiter looked annoyed and irritated all the time.

Staff was busy in it's own world. I have to call 5 times for everything. I think, management is not looking into restaurants

Really not impressed. Use to love this chain but this branch was a huge let down. The welcome and service was not welcoming at all. The food came super fast but only to find a big fly in one of our dish. Really questioning the hygiene of the place.

We ordered Rava Upma & Mini Breakfast Tiffin.
I must say the Best Upma in the Town & we really enjoyed the Breakfast & Ambience.
A must Visit Restaurent for South Indian Food Lover.

Back in Dubai on business my customer brought me again to Saravanaa on my request. It's a simple restaurant, no frills really, simple table service, but I was here for the food. And the food was once again really great.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Thali with poories, none of it too greasy or oily. Finished off with some Indian sweets spotted whilst paying and I was full.

I'll no doubt be back!

For Indian foodies, that is the best place to have breakfast. Giant masala dosa is delicious and costs AED 15

Food quantity was good too.

Tasty south Indian food especially the different varieties of Dosas and many more items. Dosas very tasty giving u an authentic south indian feel. Two thali versions with limited and unlimited food available with variety of dishes.

Awesome vegetarian Indian food with wonderful Dosa's and breads in every combination.more like the food you get in India and the way they serve it, very reasonable prices.

Very good and budget veg south Indian restaurant. Each and every dish is authentic. Service is very fast.

Bad choice is this.they don't have items mentioned in the menu card after 9 itself.staffs are not well trained. Even empty glasses to drink water was to be asked by our selves. Go to this place only if you have no other options.

Very bad service. I called them to follow up on an order which took more than 45 minutes. The person didn't help and cut thethe call. Even though the order was close to the restaurant in Al barsha it takes them more than 45 minutes which according to the person is maximum time. This is what they call service

Good vegetarian food of South Indian cuisine. Friendly staff and nice restaurant. It will be hard to find a Parking nearby in evening.

AC problem made it warm inside the hotel. Alternative arrangements should have been done like placing fans. Could not enjoy the food.

Its has a great name in India and in many global cities but the dinner thali that I had at the Al Barsha, Dubai outlet is bland and tasteless with the dessert being totally avoidable.

The food is good but the hygiene of the place isn't top notch. Should be maintained better and kept clean in order to enjoy the experience. Go there just for the food and nothing else.

If you Love South Indian Vegetarian, then this is the place to be in Al Barsha. If you want a heavy breakfast then have the Mini Tiffin and definitely have the coffee after that.

Limited option despite full list in menu card, need to search people to call for additional items, not cutlery provided until asked for, need to wait for extra sambhar, chutney for long time until almost finished dosa.

This place has one of the best dosas I have had in Dubai. I tried the ghee roast dosa. Portions are quite generous so you don't really need appetizers.

I noticed that a lot of people were ordering thali also.

Top off your meal with the "filter coffee"

Reasonable price when compared to the taste and quality, mostly crowded on weekends. But worth a wait or take away your food.
