Hi, i love the food but the reception is bad, even though I reserved a table, it was in the worst place for smokers, and I am not a smoker. The service was delayed in taking the order and bring dessert and bill. Nevertheless, I love this restaurant and will definitely return
Scalini is a great place for authentic Italian food, and I say this as Italian. Generous portions, especially pasta. Tasty pistachio gelato done by them. Excellent quality in a lovely setting.
Nice place, menu options are good. Pizza, pasta and salad were great, but got served undercooked chicken, and no bothered to apologize for such a mistake, because of this will not try again. Was a disappointment.
I’ve visited Scalini twice so far. Both times l was very pleased with the dishes ordered. However, there can be slight improvements.
Starters: I would recommend the Carpaccio Alla Rucola, the calamari fritti and the grilled squid stuffed with risotto. Other starters I tried were the Deep fried mozzarella and the avocado caldo.
Mains: Out of the three pastas I tried, the Tagliolini al tartufo nero was my favorite. The Pappardelle and the Tagliatelle were also delicious.
The staff members are friendly, chatty and professional with assistance.
Improvements: The first time I was seated in the non smoking area, which was very hot. I wasn’t able to enjoy my food comfortably. It was also very tightly spaced and the waiters were accidentally bumping into each-other, our seats and into us. The smoking area on the other hand was cooler and slightly spacier. Another issue was delays both times with the bill. We’d have to ask 2 - 3 times for it, which could take up to 10 mins to be received.
If you’re visiting the restaurant you should take note that the four seasons valet will also take around 15-20 mins to bring the car back. Which is inconvenient.
Overall, I would recommend the visit for the quality of food and the live experiences which we enjoyed.
My partner and I had an amazing dining experience at Scalini. The venue was lovely and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Our pasta dishes (Lobster pasta & Wagyu beef lasagna) were delicious. Best pasta and food we have had during our 2 week vacation in Dubai. Portions were large and great quality, hence worth the price. They also had a wide range of pasta variety. Would definitely recommend dining at Scalini. We look forward to dining here again when we visit Dubai in the near future.
The ambiance was cozy and inviting, complemented by attentive staff. The menu offered a delightful array of authentic Italian dishes, and the flavors were nothing short of exquisite. The overall experience was a perfect blend of great food, wonderful service, and a charming atmosphere. A must-visit for any Italian cuisine enthusiast!
Well, the food is overrated at this place…plus they will kick you out after you finish your meal. We ordered a lot but we finished fast. They told us we have to leave. It was my birthday and they ruined my night. I will never come back to this place.
We had an awful experience last night, service was really bad, food was cold, ordered two different pasta, both were so basic and cold, ordered a big fish cooked in salt, first time they said its not cooked so they took it back, after 45 minutes they bring new one, and they started serving, the second fish was very very salty, we couldnt eat at all, over all experience was really bad, worst place to go. Do not recommend at all.
By far one of the best Italian restaurants in Dubai! Their service is exceptional, and the food is phenomenal. The atmosphere is also fantastic a definite recommend.
The Linguine with clams was salty. The calms were not good and left us sick. The Tiramisu was excellent. The tables are close and crowded. Over all bad.
Food is very good but it’s too expensive, You have to pay for the municipality and service even if you didn’t ask them to serve you تدفعون رواتب الموظفين والايجار وفواتير الكهربا والماي
Whenever I'm calling for reservation no one answerig We visited the restaurant, unfortunately they aren't accepting without reservation and said fully booked even looks a lot of tables are empty. Disappointing
One of the best restaurants in dubai, was one of the best.now I felt was left out, like a lost child and no one to wash its clothes. I found it dirty.food was still good, but not sure the conditions prepared in. I use to visit 2 times a week, but no more.and trust me am more sorry than them
Excellent restaurant with excellent food and good service. We ordered: - - Burrata, Avocado and tomato salad. - Fried battered Calamari. -A steak. - Gnochi with Aurora sauce. - Tiramisu. - Two Cappuccino. - Two Coca Cola.
All choices were great but the Burrata was brilliant. The seating was comfortable and the atmosphere was bright and pleasant (although the restaurant is placed at a basement and one needs a panoramic lift to reach it's entrance. Sadly they don't observe social distancing as they should (the place got very crowded as we left at 3: 20pm), with tables distanced close to each other (nearly 1.5 meters away which less than the 2 meter minimum observed elsewhere). Once the place got crowded the waiters got overwhelmed and nearly took 20 minutes to get the check (we had to ask two different waiters which is unacceptable). Otherwise service by the attending waiter was both quick and friendly (he left after serving the dessert). Additionally the bill was too dear at AED 1050! That being said the price is mitigated by the overall experience. I will visit again and recommend it for Italian food Aficionados in Dubai.
What’s the point of having good food is you have to wait 70 mins for the food to come to your table First and last time in this place for sure Bad staff management Low staff capacity Very bad experience
I went to this restaurant with my wife to celebrate her birthday. Here is the list of issues that we faced: 1. Food was just terrible, and costs as much as Armani Ristorante, but quality is terrible. 2. When I gave feedback on the food to the waiter (Christian), he just shrugged and told me it is what it is. 3. Given i was celebrating my wife's birthday, I had booked the table at least 6 hours in advance. I had requested for a cake, which the restaurant staff confirmed. I re-confirmed with them when i arrived at the restaurant (even before being seated at the table), and they re-confirmed. After dinner, we were sat there for 25 mins just waiting for someone to show up with it, despite asking for multiple times. Yes, the surprise was definitely ruined, but by this time i just wanted to pay and leave. Even the cheque was not being brought to us for some reason. 4. When we finally gave up and gave feedback to the waiter, he again shrugged and said this is how much time it always takes, and walked away. The manager just stood there staring at the waiter, and shrugged too (Matthias). 5. We also learnt that even though this restaurant is within the Four Seasons complex, it is not run by Four Seasons - which explains IKEA interiors, bad service and bad food.
My advice to everyone who reads this is to either not go there, or go there for the experience of dealing with waiters and managers who are completely untrained in hospitality - like the ones we faced.
Nice Italian restaurant, I ordered the tuna tartar which wasn't special, the ricotta ravioli with pesto sauce which was light and delicious, also got the lobster spaghetti, it was lovely and you can taste the lobster and comes in a generous portion, for dessert I got the cheese cake which was light and tasty. Good selection of wine and lovely staff. Will visit again
Friendly atmospheric.you definitely need to make a reservation during weekends.the restaurant was super busy however i didn’t feel any long waiting time between the appetizer and the main course.food was so tasty.
Used to be my favorite restaurant but quality has seriously gone downhill since the past few months. They used to have the freshest seafood in Dubai but now it's just average, does not justify the high prices. Not sure what happened but I won't be recommending it until they improve.
Hmmm this used to be a good place to go overall and you were happy to pay the prices. The atmosphere is still very good, but the food is below par from what you would expect from such a venue and price point.
Restaurant was recommended by Our maître d’ at the Shangri-La Hotel. The Service and the food was absolutely great, specially our server Johnny he was by far the best. Highly recommend.
If you come to Dubai and you have only one night to have a dinner go to Scalini. Great food. Great wines. Great atmosphere. My favourite place in Dubai. You get never disappointed. Wished Dubai had more such wonderful places.
The dinner was so good i ate my parents food aswell, i loved the dessert, the churros and nutella was amazing and the spaghetti and lobster was soo good.i would definitely recommend it. Also the service it 10/10.
I like it. The atmosphere is very good. You can enjoy sitting outside without felling hot cos all the place is under high air conditioning systems. The service is very good only the prices of the food are high.
Had a really enjoyable lunch at Scalini. The service was top class and the food was just delicious. The restaurant despite being on the lower ground floor has a nice vibe to it. Will visit again!
The food is delicious and the restaurant had a good atmosphere, I recommend it for people who love Italian food. The issue it’s a little bit expensive.
Disappointingly average. The setting is really nice and he staff friendly. And that is about where it ends. We were hurried through 3 courses in 50 minutes. The food was satisfactory and, in the case of the dessert, poor (tiramisu totally lacked any sense that it had even seen alcholol despite what the menu said). Combine that with the ridiculous mark up on the wine list and well it explains the score. There are other restaurants in the price bracket doing this much, much better.
The only good thing about this fine dining restaurant was the seating and one order from the appetizer (beef carpaccio). The food is way overrated and over priced.as a fine dining in Dubai and comparing them to the others their food is below average.
