Shangri-la Hotel Dubai

Absolutely the worst customer service. Took a deposit for my room which I was initially told would take 7 days to refund. 16 days later, 4 phone calls and multiple promises that a manager would call to resolve it and nothing done to help. Very disappointing from such a large hotel chain! Will definitely not stay again or recommend.

Me and my friend had lovely day at the pool of the hotel, beautiful view, clean and they even had a jacuzzi. All the staff made sure we had an amazing experience but in special Yadhu and Ashish with big cordiality and great recommendations of food and cocktails, that by the way were all delicious! They accept face card discounts ;)

You enter the foyer and it smells of orchids.

The whole hotel is very clean and you feel comfortable.

The team’s seeming indifference is quite noticeable. Attempts to communicate concerns are met with a lack of responsiveness, giving the impression that customer satisfaction isn’t a priority. A more customer-centric focus is needed.

This hotel is amazing in so many ways. Location, cleanliness, but most importantly the service. The service is impeccable and the staff is always willing to go above and beyond any expectations that you may have. I would like to especially thank the hotels doormen, Khodarahm. He is always there to greet you with a warm smile and grabbing a taxi or whatever your needs are. Must stay hotel, while in Dubai.

The staff were very attentive and is easily the best part about this hotel. They go above and beyond in every way. However, I would highly recommend not including any add ons to your stay if there is a 1% chance you may not utilize. Any add ons during registration are non refundable regardless of what happens (I.e spa credits etc.) as it now becomes your new room rate. You are better off paying for the service when you have already utilized it. Unfortunately this was communicated to me after check out despite previous conversations with staff during check in.

Review on a day pass, the iKandy pool is great, nice crowd but not too crowded just wish the music was a bit louder for the vibe, drinks are higher than other 5 star hotel pools but the photo op with the burj in the background is a must!

The amenities in the gym changing room are nice but the sauna is fit to make a roast dinner, higher than the standard and they won’t change it despite multiple people complaining.

This hotel was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite, the room was spacious, the beds & linens were very comfortable. The lounge on the 41st floor & the breakfast lounge were great. Great selection of food & drinks. But most of all the staff was the best! From the doorman to the hosts & hostesses, everyone made our stay extra special. I highly recommend this hotel & would stay here anytime we’re in Dubai.

The view is spectacular and the location is unmatched. The breakfast was world class and the lady usher at breakfast was one of the nicest I've ever come across. The hotel is truly 5 star and has everything possible. Primarily only one thing really needs to be improved - housekeeping. They need some serious training. Found a piece of glass on the carpet, toiletries were never stocked after the first day! They twice barged in for the evening turn down service, the second time with a knock and opened the door. When I complained and said I was putting my daughter to sleep, they called on the phone to apologize AFTER id switched on the DND - ridiculous! They were very nice about it and apologized a lot, even have us services credit but I think they really need to train their housekeeping staff. The staff was nice enough but needs to know these things. Overall this is a great hotel if they only improve this.

This is probably the best hotel experience I have had. The staff was so courteous and helpful. I am so happy with my short stay and will definitely come back again. 5/5 for everything. Thank you team shangri-la.

Lovely hotel, We had an amazing view of the Burj Khalifa from our suite!

Great service from Ahmed from the restaurant he was very kind to us always. Our daughter would look for him during breakfast. He was very pleasant.

Also Khodarahm from concierge was very welcoming, helpful and always friendly. We are appreciate the great service!

I tried only the restaurant downstairs.the food was nice and tasty.but I didn't like the dessert.staff was kind and friendly

Absolutely amazing all round. The only issue was the hair dryer. The hair dryers are seriously outdated and need an urgent upgrade.

Without a doubt the best choice. The location is excellent and the views from the room are wonderful! All comfort, the staff is charming and the breakfast buffet excellent.

Wonderful place to stay. Close to many restaurants, near the metro station and with Bhurj khalifa view. Very accessible. Rooms were clean, breakfast excellent and room service was top notch.

My second stay at Shangri la Dubai was absolutely perfect! The room was amazing and Kudoos to the staff for upgrading me with the breathtaking Burj Khalifa view! The reception staff was doing an amazing Job special thanks to the Arabic lady and the Arab gentlemen who assisted me with moving to my favorite room series at Shang. (can’t recall their names tho) I’ll definitely visit again soon!

If you are in the area of downtown, pass by the Shangri La for their unlimited Dim Sum Business Lunch at Shang Palace. Definitely worth the try if you are a Dim Sum lover. Thank you to Bagus for guiding me thru it.

We were at dune cafe, Shangri-la Dubai for lunch absolutely enjoyed the food there and of course from the warm welcome, customer service and the food it was exceptional

I had visited this hotel innumerable times for seminars and dining. The restaurants are good and had eclectic variety. The seminar halls are also very comfortable and serviced very well.
Overall I am very satisfied with the high level of quality assured here.

We had such an amazing stay! This hotel was perfectly located in the center of all the action in Dubai. You can easily get to all the Dubai sites from here and not to mention breathtaking views of the Burj Khalifa! There are so many way you can relax at this hotel with a rooftop indoor pool with incredible views, the spa, and the pool on level 4 is amazing! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay great - Khodarahm would greet us with a big smile and warm welcome every time we came back to the hotel after a day of activities. The lobby has tea time and a pianist at certain times that enhanced the stay as well.

Would definitely recommend to any of my friends coming to visit Dubai and looking for a good location, price, and stay!

Beautiful place l like it very well everyone is nice to us. All the room are beautiful I took the ocean view, the city view looks awesome too.

Very nice hotel, with large, comfortable rooms and a pillow menu.
The breakfast buffet has plenty to choose from, catering to tastes from most regions of the world.
The customer service is attentive and impeccable. It deserves to be mentioned.
The swimming pool, terrace and bar are great to relax for a couple of hours.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Shangri-La Dubai on October 18th, 2021. The personal attention and interest in us as individuals made us feel very welcome.

I went there for the first couple vacation with my partner and wow was i more than impressed. They place was so calming and I always felt rested the bed was like a cloud. And the service oh my don’t get me started there my partner and I felt like we where the highest vip there, they took such good care of us. I’m more than happy to say i’m excited to visit again. Thank you once again to everyone there that made it so special for us.

Very good hotel and the best way to improve and maintain good service is to keep the good people you have at your hotel. Today one of the main reasons for me to prefer your hotel among other is your staff specially people like Mr. Seoudi I really noticed this guy he never save effort to provide full support to the guest. I can feel how loyal he is to the hotel. Which indicates and reflects how powerful and smart management you have. The only advice I have for you is invest more in your people and especially your old staff. It makes you feel proud when you visit the hotel again and the staff remembers your name.great feeling for guest it makes us feel home.

Great stay at Shangri-La Dubai. Excellent and spacious Horizon Club premier room and feeling of privacy in the upper hotel floors. Attentive gestures by hotel, such as flowers, cake, fruit basket on arrival due to our special occasion. Friendly staff in Horizon Club area that were always ready to assist and be of service. Impeccably clean and with unbeatable views towards Burj Khalifa and downtown from our room as well as from the legendary level 42 terrace. Highly enjoyable stay and absolutely recommended to anyone wishing to experience one of the highest level hotel services there are.

This was an amazing experience for us - the staff were amazing particularly Nadia at reception and Yasir - both of us were superb throughout our trip. The Valet staff were very accommodating and were able to bring our car out seamlessly and quickly. We had booked the executive floor and had access to the breakfast on the top floor - which was much nicer than the buffet downstairs (which was quite busy most of the time). Our room was very nice with a King bed. We would definitely visit Shangrila again.

The hotel is asking the weirdest thing by depositing AED 350 EVERY NIGHT of stay, which no other hotel asks.

Best view in the city! Well known secret the Shang Dubai has amazing 42F rooftop to capture the sunrise of the Burj. They upgraded us for our honeymoon and the view is incredible. Shower pressure and water temperature are the best I’ve ever had including in my own home. Great service and gym facilities. Only area needing improvement is the toilet paper is very thin and should provide more towels.

Shangri-la is a Dubai Icon. Great restaurants. Great club. Great lounge and fantastic accommodation.

Not the newest hotel in Dubai, it does show some aeging. Especially the rooms are not top notch. The service staff make the difference!

Rooms are spaceous including bathroom. Lobby is spectacular. View on Burj Khalifa is magnificent especially from the pool on floor 4.

Such a nice hotel, the rooms, the views, all the personal is amazing, I’ll gonna miss the scramble eggs every morning, everyone made this stay amazing for my friend and I, I’ll be back and for sure I’ll choose Shangri-La ever ️

Shangri-La in Dubai is a very very good and insane hotel and the room services are so kind and all the people who works there are so kind and especially the food was so good and the lobby was good and the lounge is so good and there’s room that the view face with burj khalifa and the hotel is close in any places such as restaurants and malls the best hotel in Dubai is shangri-La

A solid one for staying in Dubai. The pool at 4th floor has got a great view but the one on 42 is the true star (only for suite guest).
The hotel has its years but still the value for money and the location nails.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. There’s also a free valet parking at the back of the building.

Excellent staff, clean and nice rooms, extraordinary guest relations. Omar was really helpful in meet all our requests. We will definitely come back.

This is of course a lovely hotel, the room (club Horizon one bedroom suite) was excellent, the pool area is nice and clean and the breakfast is excellent. However we were surprised there were nothing extra at all for the children, not even the Shangri-La teddy bears they usually get in the room. No kids club, no playroom, no playground - no nothing. Compared to our recent stay at Shangri-La in Singapore this was a dissapointment.

Also, the Club Horizon afternoon tea and breakfast was rather small compared to other Shangri-La hotels, which was also a little dissapointing.

Finally, the in room dining did not live up too our expectations. We informed about this the very same evening of our order and were promised to speak to the food and beverage manager, but that never happened.

A few day ago my friend forget some stuff in his room no 2303.
He told to me to collect that stuff from hotel so I went there and give my car for valet parking then I entered. I asked hotel management for that stuff. Aftar 25 to 30 min they give me that packeg.
Aftar receiving that stuff I went to to my car butt my car was not starting Becz the valet driver trun off the engine butt the lights and radio was on and battery reach at low level of charge. I compain to valet mangement they said we are not responsible for this then I complain to hotel management they also said Sir we can't do any thing we can only call the recovery for you that's it. I ask for a jumper to start up my car in reply Superviser (ARAB man wearing wanders) said rudly Sir this is hotel not a workshop. Then I ask for a man there for help he helped me by connecting jumper with my car battery and start start.
In short hotel mangement's behaviour is very rude.

Great room with amazing view at Burj Khalifa. Excellent air con and immaculately clean.
We had a club room and enjoyed the benefits of the Horizon Club lounge. The staff are outstanding. We were well looked after and they were very helpful especially Hossam and the lady who checked us in. The pool area was also well set out and the staff were friendly and helpful.
We dined at the Shang Palace and Alex Mao was our excellent waiter. Food was outstanding.
The hotel is convenient for the Dubai Mall. We would definitely return.

This was my second stay at Shangri-La Dubai and it was even better than the first one. The location of the hotel is fantastic - close to the office where I work when visiting Dubai and great views of Burj Khalifa. The rooms are comfortable and quiet and the team of people working in the hotel is excellent. Special thanks to these people who ensured my stay was exceptional - Omar, Hossam and Bo Bo in the Horizon Club, Viraj and Francisco in housekeeping, and Farahat who helped transfer my belongings to another room. The food from room service was delicious and delivered on time and I appreciate that Omar ensured I could enjoy the roast duck (not on the standard menu) in my room after a long day in the office. The Chi Spa was amazing and I'm grateful to my massage therapist Irma who was able to loosen a few tight areas in my neck after a long haul flight.
Next time I'm in Dubai, I will definitely stay at Shangri-La and visit Chi Spa.

As always, you will find exceptional service and attention to detail at Shangri-La. They set up a lovely welcome for me and my wife upon our return. Staff are great.

Hotel is a pleasure hotel, good facilities, perfect area and very kindly staff. Rooms are big and very clan and nice interior. Rooms with a view are lovely. Pool is not so big but very nice.

It was very pure, that the observation balcon was closed at night, cause its the best photo point in Dubai and in my room was a strange sounde the hole night, so that it was hard to sleep.also i booked a Khalifa view and I had a paper with a confirmation of the Khalifa view, but at the reception they sad, I did not booked. It was a effrontery because they let me think, I'm stupid.

Abosultely perfect but with 1 flaw
We booked the 3 bedroom suite for Shangri-la Apartments. Location is quite good opposite the Dubai mall but not walkable distamce as it would require driving on flyovers.
The suite was massive, has 3 toilets and also a helper bedroom.
The place was more spacious than we expected and very luxurious. Service was excellent, carry our luggage up with the cart or asking if we need extra amenities.
Now the only flaw is the bell. It kept ringing in the afternoon and no one was there. We ignored it and went out. Then later that night we felt it keep ringing again at 2am. It could well be something of superstition as the suite was at the end of the corridor.
Well it's 2am and the whole family is asleep so we better ignore it and not open the door.

Top quality spa, if you stay here I would highly recommend you to try it, you will get your great value for money spend, my friend from Dubai told me about it as she comes here only for their treatments. I had their signature blend massage, Rita very professional and you have to try their welcome drink. Thank you!

The experience was excellent as always. Bad note: the hair saloon inside the hotel is really bad. The owner is not honest and tries to charge additional non-requested services. I have been told it is external and outsourced. Yet, it is not consistent with your brand and is very bad for your overall image.
