Sizzling Wok - Bur Dubai

Earlier this place was good. Its deam lighting is something what we didn't like. That place looked very dull

Restaurant situated inside CityMax hotel, Bur Dubai.
We had dinner from there abd tried Nasi Goreng, chicken satay and Chicken Dimsum.
Compare to the original version and taste of nasi goreng, it is some what okay except the chicken satay served along with that.
Chicken satay was an absolutely wrong selection. Cannot called as chicken satay, it’s tastes like chicken fry.
Chicken dimsum was very nice and delicious.
Place is not busy.
One suggestion is they can play some music to get a better ambience.
Price is quite reasonable.

Had a wonderful experience in this Resturant with my family, the staff were very accommodative and made our dinner memorable with exceptional dishes and suggestions which went beyond our expection, many thanks to Roshan, Azziz and Shirsti who went an extra mile in making our dinner memorable, we will indeed come back again

Our meal was sadly blandly flavored. The loud Pop music in the background prevented the Asian flair the restaurant could have had. I won't visit this restaurant again.

I was very very disappointed yesterday when me and my family visited Sizzling wok.the place is so run down since we last visited.we waited more than an hour to get our starters that were disgusting I must say. Satay was burnt the peanut sauce very bad.crispy veggies were loaded only with cauliflower and brocoli they kept doing everything wrong.the main meal we ordered looked sooo bland I dint even touch it.this place had lost its glory from the old days that we used to enjoy n recommend friends to visit the restaurant. I wouldn't recommend anyone to this place at all im sorry

Great service with delicious food is what Sizzling WOK is all about. Devi and Prem were just so good and hospitable. They helped uabin choosing the best veg options from the menu and it was so flavourful. We started with spicy manchow Soup, honey chilli potatoes and Chinese Bhel was one of the best Chinese Bhel in Dubai. In Mains we had hakka noodles with veg manchurian with Virgin mojito and fruit punch. The drinks were quite refreshing and increased the overall taste of the food. The best part of the entire meal was the sizzling Brownie which was served with a dollop of ice cream and marshmallows. I must say this place deserves a perfect 5 star without any second thought. Situated in City max Hotel this indo chinese restaurant is a must visit.

Momos steamed with flavourful minced chicken along with the chutney was extremely good. One of the best in class!

Ebi Lime Wasabi

Prawn #tempura, spicy #wasabi mayo, #pomelo, #avocado and #tobiko with #cucumber #relish was flavorful and unique.

Yakitori Chicken Wings

We have been regular visitors to Sizzling Wok over the years and have loved the food and service, and also recall good old restaurant manager Joseph who used to manage the place nicely, and often we would revisit just for him, we gather he is now in Business Bay Area. Its appalling how the standards of the restaurant have dropped, probably the chefs have changed and it isn't frequented by people anymore. To add to it, we are vegetarians and we were served Chicken Dimsums, instead of Vegetarian Dimsums. We took a bite and then realised, but the damage was done. They compensated us with a on the house Veg Manchurian which wasnt even hot. OVERALL FOOD standards has dropped dramatically. We will think twice/thrice of visiting now unless the old good chefs/staff are back and we hear from people that its the same old joint.

Looking for some delicious Asian food, then this is your best bet. The chef brings forth his expertise of Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Singaporean food in his delectable dishes. We had a brilliant time at our tasting where we tried a variety of dishes by Chef Ashish and literally everything was a treat! You must not miss the Singaporean shrimp Laksa, the triple Schezwan fried rice and chicken, the dim sums, the crispy lamb, aah everything was brilliant tbh! Some of the dishes have also been made the Indo-Asian way to please the tastebuds of those who have a liking for Indian Chinese food. Drinks and desserts are deliciously refreshing and we LOVED the Super bowl brownie sundae (which is a JAPANESE CHEESECAKE BROWNIE) And the rubies in coconut milk. Overall a BIG YAY!

Definitely recommending this amazing Pan-Asian restaurant! They serve all types of asian favorites from manchow soup, tempura, nasi goreng and even Filipino favorite Kare Kare.

Their foods are so yummy which made even enjoyable because of the cozy asian ambiance.

Prem, our water was super nice and attentive too. It was a pleasurable night for us!

Located at the popular Citymax Hotel in Bur Dubai, Sizzling Wok is a decent place to enjoy a wide selection of Asian cuisine, with more leaning towards Chinese, Japanese and Thai. Beautifully designed interiors, square tables, couches etc. Interesting to know that they are a fully licensed bar as well. What we tried here Sumo Chicken, Chinese Bhek, Shrimp Laksa, Prawn Tempura.
The Sumo chicken was nice, excellent flavours tried by the chefs. The prawn tempura was decent, crispy and delight, loved the presentation as well. The chilli salsa adds more flavour too. The Chinese bhel was a nice take on the the indo desi culinary mix, got the flavours and the desi spice was on point. Further we ordered their Nasi goreng, a bold take which ticks all the boxes, In flavours ingredients, and portion size. If your expecting a fine nasi, this is the the place for you.

For desserts the fried ice creme, and asian fruit salad were ideal pair to complete a fine evening here. The service was excellent and it was great to see the team of chefs keep coming on our table, which was a fine touch to the experience here I felt.

Overall this was one of the finest place to enjoy a wide selection of Asian cuisine and enjoy it with your favourite Drink
