Step Up Nursery

I can't say enough good things about this nursery. My son has been attending this nursery for a while now, and the growth and development he's experienced here have been remarkable. The staff is incredibly friendly and dedicated to ensuring that the children have a safe and nurturing environment to learn and play in.

In particular, Ms. Marukh stands out as a truly exceptional teacher. Her loving and supportive approach has made a significant impact on my son's learning journey. She goes above and beyond to help the children understand concepts, making learning both fun and engaging. Thats the most important for a toddler. Everything has to be fun and engaging.

The nursery as a whole has exceeded my expectations, and I'm grateful for the positive influence it's had on my son's growth. I highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a place where their child can thrive and learn in a loving and caring environment.

My daughter enjoys going to the nursery everyday. Only thing I wish they would change is the pick up and drop off policy. We never get to see the teacher during pick up or drop off. Our daughter needs to be dropped off at the nursery entrance and a staff takes her to the classroom from there. We have not even seen her classroom aside from the pictures which is a shame. I dont see why we cannot drop her off to the classroom like other nurseries. I would prefer a more open door policy in this regard.

Small World Nursery is like a second home for my daughter, she really loves it and I feel comfortable when she’s there. Even the staff feel like family and are always caring and supportive to the detail. Thank you for that!

Our daughter has been attending Small World Nursery (previously Step Up Nursery) for a year now. We have seen a lot of improvement with her since she joined. She used to be shy and not sociable, but with the help and great effort of the teachers, TAs, and entire staff, after a few months of attending the nursery, she became confident, independent, and expressive. They are amazing. Kids are always playig, having fun and getting stimulus. Miss Reem (and all the team) is super sweet, and they really care for the kids. Now our son he don't want be at home. As parents, we're super happy.

My daughter likes to go to StepUp nursery everyday with a smile and that says a lot. Nursery teachers and nannies are so friendly and supportive. In terms of knowledge they provide a good education for kids.

My daughter is going to the nursery full time since last 6 months. I am really happy the way she is improving day by day.

It took 1 week for her to get adjusted as it was her 1st time. I would heartily thank Ms. Amal who has gone extra mile to make my daughter get adjusted to the new environment.

Now she goes to the Nursery happily. There are huge range of activities and classes planned on daily basis. Teacher shares the weekly academic plan to parents ahead the start of week.

2nd half of the day will be like a day care and the staff really take care of the kids very well. I am very happy for joining my daughter to StepUp Nursery. Front desk / Staff will be available any time on call / whatsapp if any inquiries. They also have a full time nurse to take care of Kids health.

I highly recommend StepUp Nursery to all parents. Specially Recommend Ms. Amal if your kid is beginner and is under 3 years age.

I was so nervous to leave my child in a nursery, but when my daughter joined step up nursery for one year now, I can clearly say that this is the best nursery I can recommend for any mommy who is worried to put her child in a nursery.

The management is very good, the staff are so friendly and patient while dealing with each child, they are doing very good and creative activities for children, I really feel that this place is my child’s second home. Also the place is very hygienic and safe, they have a nice spacious outdoor play area. And I am so grateful to my child’s teacher, Ms Raghad who is very supportive and has helped my child a lot. What they've been doing to nurture the kids has been massive in every day. A nursery that know how to get the best out children and inspires them to be creative.

We are so happy as a parents to be part of SUN family. My Baby Ghaith has been going to Step Up Nursery for almost two years. He like his Nursery and find his self there, he developed his social skills and communication skills, and I observed how he improved, understand and knows many things, all of that because of the best teacher I ever met Ms Amal. She is so kind and affectionate. My son love her and he is asking me every time to go to Ms Amal. She is working with love, thats what the children feel and they love her. She is so polite and positive teacher and that what our children need. A teacher who is taking care of them and helping them to become better. My son is in FS2 in SUN. Miss Nishita is his teacher and i must say she is a very hardworking teacher. She taught us how we can make slow but steady progress in our son’s learning. She is giving continuous feedback to us on weekly basis in order to keep reforming things for betterment of our son.

Step up Nursery has been a good help with my daughter. I can see that there’s a big improvement of how my daughter interact with the people that surrounds her. I have noticed so many positive changes and I know she has learned a lot. This nursery has costed more than money to both my children. My daughter developed pneumonia and my son developed infection. Later on my daughter got UTI from the nursery and again an infection. Hygiene is very poor and the kids who have cough or runny nose are allowed to join everyday and spread infection to others. My daughter lost 8 kgs in 10 days! Do not put your children here. They have the guts to ask me money after this for the days my kids didnt go. They dont want to compensate parents for their hard earned money.
They want you to add reviews to their nursery so their ratings are high, dont get fooled by that.

StepUp Nursery has been a home away from home for my son (joined a month ago). Every morning he looks forward to going to class to meet his friends, teacher (Ms. Amal) and the assistants.
Ms. Amal is a very passionate teacher. She knows my son really well and is very calm, humble and positive. Over the past month, my little boy has developed tremendously and has enhanced his language/communication, and social skills. He is learning new things every day and is becoming even more independent and confident. He is also open to trying new foods – which he wouldn’t at home. Thanks to the help, support, and assistance from Ms. Amal and the assistants, he is now more adventurous.

The nurse, Ms. Sinju, was very cooperative and helpful in administering my son’s medications that were required for his gut health. She followed instructions to the letter.

Everyone takes care of my boy like their own, which gives me peace of mind knowing he is in good hands.

Ms. Jamila has been a great academic advisor and has greatly encouraged my husband’s and my positive parenting skills.

At the beginning of each week, parents receive a detailed weekly schedule. The variety of daily activities is vast and there are constant updates on the app. Thank you for the diverse play-based learning (Ms. Amal is very creative).

Hygiene standards are on point.

The management (Anoud, Erika, Phoebe; to name a few), the teachers, and the assistants are very kind, caring, compassionate, and approachable.

Thank you for your love. Thank you for making my son feel entertained, loved and special. I am grateful for the loving, safe, homely and friendly atmosphere you provide.

If I could give this nursery 10 stars I would! It is an amazing place when they don’t ever want to leave at pick up. I love that they feel as though it is their home away from home.

My husband and I had been in quite a frenzy after we found out that a nursery school we just enrolled our daughter in was due to close and it was with immediate effect. We panicked as both of us were working parents and didn't have any help at the time. I will never forget texting Ms Jamila one night very late, to which she replied almost instantly telling me that I could visit the nursery the very next day. What an amazing leader for such a beautiful nursery, she showed me around. Immediately I loved SUN, the warm not only from the environment but from the people were so evident. I knew that my baby girl Kaileah would be so happy here. We enrolled our baby girl at around 16 months old. She was so happy to go to school, and everyone knew her to which she would happily greet them as SUN had become a second home to us.

It is with pleasure that we keep our daughter who is now 2 and a half and under the watchful eye of Ms Lana, she is thriving. She simply loves school and all of her friends, the range of activities that they do are amazing! And of course Ms Lana is definitely the most amazing teacher! Speaking all sorts of words and singing all kinds of songs. I highly recommend SUN in conversation to so many parents and I hope it can give you peace of mind knowing that when you enroll your child at SUN they will treat you like family. From the amazing front desk Ms Erica to Ms Sindu, the nursery nurse. The entire team is exceptional and are lead extremely well by the talented Ms Jamila. My daughter is going to SUN for last 2 months! I would like to highlight that her pfs class teacher Ms Amal is doing an amazing job in shaping up our kids foundation. I really appreciate how kids are learning through the creative activity part and of course they have a full play area too during their breaks I have observed many positive and great changes in my daughter over last 2 months. Also the diversity amongst the kids help these little gems to connect and understand each other right from their root levels. The staffs at SUN is very helpful and supportive too. Overall I would definitely recommend SUN if you want your child to have a strong foundation.

My son has been going to Step up nursery for more than a year now and there has been not a day he didn’t want to go to the nursery.
He absolutely enjoys his time and loves the nursery as much as I do. The staff is caring, considerate and easy to approach. The nursery has a nurturing and vibrant atmosphere which I love.

Our little boy joined the nursery at five months old, attending just two afternoons per week, to begin with. He absolutely loves his Step Up Nursery family and is always bubbling with happiness when we pick him up having had such a lovely time there. He was the youngest there at the time he joined, and I was a bit worried that he would require lots of attention being so young, as he could not sit up yet and was starting a habit of fighting his naps. The staff are very caring and friendly and patient, and know what they're doing and were able to give him the attention he needed, as well as the other lovely young children in their care. Even though he was very young, they helped him join in activities safely where he could, so he could learn and have fun. We're all very happy and grateful to the staff for looking after our precious one so well.

Step Up Nursery has now become a home for me and my two children! As soon as I stepped in,
I felt the warmth and comfort around me. The beaming teachers, the colorful environment, the warm management. I was so relaxed! Slowly, with time I became happier and more confident with my decision.my son, who is just a year old has remarkably ticked off his developmental milestones! He has started showing so much interest in everything around him! At such a small age, he has already started uttering words! I'm so impressed the teachers are also warm and loving and my son is so relaxed around them! He adores them!
My daughter, who has now left the nursery to go to school still talks about her old school! She loves it so much! The faculty, the environment, the activities! I'm in love! I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Both of my kids attend Step Up Nursery and I can say that it has become their second home! They always ask about the teachers and friends during the weekend and holidays. This assures me everytime that they are doing things right to make the kids want to go back. I am always up-to-date with their activities on the App and the staff never misses a chance to answer any questions. I'd recommend it to any parent who wants a suitable environment for his/her child!

We have seen our child's improvement since she joined Step Up Nursery. She is becoming more sociable and is learning new things each day, not to mention her noticeable independence and confidence. Another commendable observation is that I know all kids are receiving individual attention, making us, (parents) feel at ease that our child is in a safe nurturing environment. We are glad that we are able to view via social media app.the daily happenings in class and the periodic evaluation and assessment that updates us with our daughter's progress. With that being said, we so appreciate all amazing-friendly staff for all the efforts, hard work and patience especially her Super Sea Lion class teacher who I feel is very passionate with what she does. Kudos and keep it up SUN!

We absolutely love SUN! They seem to have new ideas every day on how to keep the kids entertained and put in so much effort for each activity. We would highly recommend it.

My son was “bullied” by the same child for about 3 weeks. One day our son had a deep scratches on his face (still have scars today after months!) and we decided to stop sending him to this place.

We think the staff are great, but probably overwhelmed with the hectic classes and so we would understand. However the management sugar coated things as if it’s not a big deal. And the day my son had this deep scratches, i know it was time to go find a better place. No parents want their child to be bullied, it breaks our heart. I think it’s a poor management, the aim is to keep the parents happy but i don’t think it’s honest. Also they didn’t help us with good option, we have to change our son’s class to stay in this nursery, instead of the child who hit our son.

And i think the school may respond to my review “sugar coating again” or defensive rather than owning it. If only their child are the one left with scars, maybe they’ll take it seriously

I am really very happy with the personal care they are taking at the nursery. I was reluctant and was not sure as my child is not even 2 yrs to put him in a nursery but now I feel I made the best choice.

He used to be shy in talking to children of his age group but now he is confident and learning all kind of skills which is important for the growth of toddlers. They set up a curriculum every week and work accordingly, so as parents we are also aware of the activities.

This was my first experience sending my son to a nursery as he had started going to FS1 at a school. And I have to you tell you this place has made me realize how important pre nursery is. From day one since my son was crying that he didn’t want to go until in just 4 days he wants to go to Play School (he calls it that). Great teacher, great management and they truly understand young children. From play time of all sorts to learning to eat, write, socialize, adapt and grow; this place is amazing. Shout out to Ms Jameela, Ms Milana and all teaching assistants for making this place awesome for kids.

A place where your children will have daily fun and entertainment, a place where you can really feel safe for your children, a place where you will see massive improvements to your children and see them learn new things quickly, a place where your children will start to cry when you want to pick them up because they simply want to stay there more and more! I'm really lucky to find this nursery and I just love every single thing about it, flexible and totally understanding management, honesty, the care, love, and their teaching techniques, their daily activities, their reports about the child, everything! The nursery is also very clean and safe, and they follow strict safety guidelines to make sure the nursery is COVID19 free and also the safety of the child. If you are looking for a place where you have a peace of mind about your children and at the same time to see your child learn new things faster, look no where, StepUp Nursery is the place for you. I cannot give enough praise to this little gem of a place. We were in Dubai for a few months from London, my 19 month old boy had never been to nursery, I looked at a few options locally, some really swanky nurseries around here but as soon as we walked in and met the staff at Step up we knew we had found the right place.
What makes this place is the staff, they are so lovely and warm. My boy adapted so quickly and he is really very happy and has met his first BFF there.
They send pictures and videos of what he gets up to everyday, and thorough update on as much detail as you want (how much he ate, slept, nappies, demeanour etc etc)
They follow a curriculum that helps with every aspect of development (and yes you get a plan of what part of the curriculum they will cover before each week starts, and you can actually correlate this and see evidence from the videos and pictures they send and also notice JJ comes home with new words and sounds or letters that they learned about in the week, so nice to see the fruit of what they are doing documented and actualised.
My boy has started communicating better, few more words within the second week which is just awesome, he loves his teacher Miss Myla (I love her too)
Prices are very reasonable, competitive.
I honestly cannot say anything negative, if I find anything (doubtful I will) will surely update.

I love StepUp Nursery. We were so skeptical of putting our 1.5 year old son in the nursery as we thought he was too small at that age. But that is the best gift we gave him as a parent. He is so sociable and confident. He wants to do everything by himself which is such a blessing to see. Our older daughter was in another nursery but she did not take much from that nursery as our son is in stepup.we as parents love stepup's ethos about increasing confidence and independence in a child. I am so grateful to have put my daughter in this nursery. She had learned so much from her teachers. And it is such a community oriented feel where parents who want to can be completely involved in their child's learning. As a working mom this was a great option for us. The nursery has an open door policy where parents request and concerned are heard and actioned upon in a timely manner. We as a family completely felt at home and our daughter has become a very confident, independent child. Thank you StepUp Nursery for giving us the best two years of our child's life.

My son had a wonderful experience at this nursery. He did only his FS1 year with Stepup Nursery. He was in another nursery before that but it is this nursery's approach and teacher's hard work of making a child independent that he learned so much. He did public speaking in the nursery every week and now he is not scared of talking in a crowd. He was the welcome monitor for a week where he learned how to shake hands. Overall my son is extremely confident now and does not shy away from challenges. The teacher and staff are very caring and the management is very focused on the children and will always do best for the children. I love Stepup nursery.

Not for working parents and highly inflexible management

So let's get the good points out of the way: Clean, safe and friendly/caring teachers, an apparently a British EYFS program. That's pretty much what every review reads (including the review by the owner).

However, as a full-time working parent one thing that always drove me absolutely crazy is the awful planning and timing of the events and get-togethers. Parent-teacher meeting - no problem, it's at 12: 00 noon (what?). Mother's day celebration - it's at 9: 30am (what?). Graduation ceremony? Sure thing - it's at 11: 30am.

There is zero flexibility and support by the management for parents who have a standard working schedule. I don't have an issue getting to work by 8: 30am or 9: 00am. However my other child goes to one of Dubai's top-rated schools and I have never missed an event because they were all at reasonable timings (early morning or late afternoons). When she was in another nursery, again, we never missed those events in the younger years.

And don't you dare ask for a refund, an exception (e.g. Suppose you're late), or any kind of "special-case" where you and the institution come to an agreement. It's a pure "our-way-or-the-highway" attitude. And don't even think about debating because they monotonously repeat the same tagline: "That's our policy".

I have missed out much of my 2nd daughter's early-learning years simply because this institution can't make an exception, a change or support in any way.

Think twice before registering. If you have any problems, you won't get your money back - it's their policy.

My children attended StepUp and loved it. They have now moved to school but still ask regularly about StepUp. During their time there, they developed great personal relationships with all the teachers and teaching assistants, who are all approachable and understanding of both parents and kids individual needs. The activities all cater to the different age groups and there is a perfect balance of play and learning. Thank you to the StepUp Team for giving my children such a great experience and starting off their love of learning.
