Sumo Sushi & Bento

Not fresh sushi at all. Ordered california and crab inside looked like recently defrosted and not fresh. Not worth the money.

I love asian food, and one of our go to places is Sumo.

It is conveniently located in town centre. Staffs are accommodating and the food is generous given the price.

They have discounts and offers from time to time which is nice.

Sumo Sushi & Bento in Dubai is a true gem when it comes to sushi and nigiri. I recently dined there and was blown away by the quality and taste of their offerings. The Nigiri was simply outstanding, with fresh and perfectly sliced fish that melted in my mouth. The sushi rolls were equally impressive, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.

What sets Sumo Sushi & Bento apart is not just the exceptional food but also the ambiance and service. The restaurant has a chic and contemporary design that creates a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, making dining here a delightful experience.

Highly recommended, but you will need to clarify on the heat level for your soup if you are from those who likes it to be extra hot mention it as they bring it cold to me.

Very good real sushi in Dubai. You have to try it. It is many ways to prepare it and you should taste it at least some times not only one time I put 4 stars to get more and more but 5 stars means nothing more. But I am sure. There is more they can do

Sumo Sushi & Bento has to be one of the best spots in dubai to try amazing sushi dishes and bento in different portions and sizes. The place has a great dining area inside of town centre Jumeirah serving delicious food. We started off with their Miso soup which was fresh tofu served in served in homemade miso broth. Their rock n roll shrimp is a great appetizer to try here which is made with spicy mayo sauce. For Bento, you can have their best seller tempura bento box, served with crispy shrimp and mixed tempura along with veggies and rice.

From sushi selections, their samurai sushi costing 56 AED is the best of all to eat here. Well made sushi served with prawn tempura and crab stick salad along with topped with salmon and avocado. Definitely a dish worthy trying.

You can also build your bento by choosing your protein, veggies and rice of your choice for just 49 AED. They have also have refreshing mojitos and drinks to go along with the sushis.

To top it off, the chocolate brownie dessert is the best ending to this amazing meal. Great service and care by the staff throughout our dining experience. Cant wait to be back here again!

I have ordered sushi through talabat, and after an hour of waiting, i get a call from sumo sushi saying that it was cancelled because they were closing! Why accept my order in the first place and why make me wait for that long! I am never ordering or even recommending it to anyone. Worst experience!

Always loved this place. Yummy sushi, bentos, and other japanese dishes. Prefer the other branches tho because this branch is open in the middle of the mall. Good service, and food is consistently good. Too bad they are not in entertainer anymore.

Sumo always our first choice e to have sushi. It is in a lovely place spacious enough that we can sit comfortably. Last time service was very good quick and well presented. Quality of food was good but I felt variety is getting less, not sure though. I like the new dishes they offer all the time and the new flavors they create. Every time our expectations getting better.
I always recommend sushi to everyone wants to have a great bite.

This was a good experience of a sushi restaurant in Dubai. The food was good and the staff where amazing. The only negative thing was the location in the middle of the mall make the ambiance unpleasant.

Ohh the delicious sushi, i usually dont like to eat sushi. But this was definetly different. Loved it!

Terrible experience. Ordered and waited 1 hour. No food. Asked why - and was told the kitchen printer “didn’t work”. No communication before I asked - no one bothered to check. No one even bothered to apologize. Food isn’t even good - this is not Japanese food - don’t know what it is, but it isn’t Japanese.

I have had the most disgusting dish called shining star, they served those maki with on top a thick grey oily salmon skin on all of them. I literally couldn’t eat my lunch

This is our favorite japanese restaurant here in Dubai for more than 10 years! My kid loves their Beef BBQ bento and my wife’s all time favourite is their Katsudon. For me I always order Ramen or their rolls and sushi bento. Excellent service and atmosphere here in Jumeirah Town Center branch. We ordered their Iftar set for two (which was a feast!) and the BBQ beef bento for my kid (because we thought the iftar set is not enough for the 3 of us). My Sumo ID number is 18867708.

It is a nice clean and safe restaurant to eat. Their set up of dishes is perfect but unfortunately their food taste was not that great. Their sushi rice was super sticky and chewable like a chewing gum. We ordered Edamame the bowel came less than half filled.

Reasonable sushi option in jumeirah. They have a iftaar deal for 3 for 120 which is quite good.

Visited Sumo Sushi Bento Jumeira branch for takeaway of Chizu Rolls. The rolls are extremely delicious and staff very well trained and courteous. Definitely worth visiting many more times. Good seating area for plenty of guests. ID 28107410

Clean and open space, located in the heart of the town center in Jumeirah area. The service was not bad, the served food was fresh and tasty. The prices were high compared to the portion, but once tasted you'll forget that ;) A place to be visited again!

Refused to give water to shocking baby.
I went with my family for Iftar, while we are waiting for Iftar my baby (10 months old) shocked as he was eating biscuit and I asked for water for him to drink.
They refused to give me water for the baby claiming its not allowed to drink water in public by law. I explained to them that this is an emergency and he is a baby and the low applied on adults not baby, the manager insisted its not allowed by law!
I don't recommend anyone to go to this place as they are ignorant and they don't have respect to anyone.we are muslims and fasting and we have been living in UAE for the past 20 years and we know the law very well.
I want somebody from the Resturant management to contact me.

Been going there for the past 8 years regularly and today was a real disaster in terms of service, all new staff, do not know the menu brings soup without spoons, waiting for the staff to figure out what spoon we need for miso soup.i had to show them the one to use.then after 35min of waiting i told first the waiter its taking too long 10min I tell the manager and still nothing.the worst part is neither the delay nor the new staff that I can deal with, its the complete lack of empathy and them acknowledging the fact that the order was not processed.not a single sorry or let us do something to make you stay.nothing I left without a single move for the manager or the staff to try and fix it.its very disappointing because we always loved to go there with family.

I have been going to this branch next to mercado mall for the last 8 years. This branch I can tell you that the consistency of the food is being maintained. They are quite good at introducing new and exiting flavours of sushi roll every now and then. The reward system is quite nice as well. My favourite has always been crunchy crazy and the ginger cooler. A tad bit expensive but worth every penny. You will will not regret I promise.

We were craving for some seafood and we decided to try out some Sushi and we must say we are now #SUMOSUPERFAN

The place is situated right in the middle of Jumeirah Town Centre and very spacious. Although it was a weekday, I must say the outlet was fairly full.

The concept of open access to foodies giving them a peek of food preparation in the open is brilliant and super cool idea.

The staff is friendly and have good knowledge of the dishes and their contents (which is a plus for anyone trying out new cuisines).

Our host for the evening was Mr. Bishnu - quite friendly and entertaining with stories and facts. He was very prompt with the food and kept a note of us all through out. He truly knows what would suit your taste buds and also recommends if you face any confusions

To start off with, we stayed safe and ordered the Rock and Roll Shrimp (Dynamite Shrimps for non-Sumos). This was good and set the tone for the evening.

Next, we tried the Bento.
Bento is a single-portion take-out or home-packed meal common in Japanese cuisine. A traditional bento holds rice or noodles, fish or meat, with pickled and cooked vegetables, in a box.
We tried the Salmon and Chicken. The Salmon was cooked to perfection and overshadowed the chicken.

The highlight of the evening was the Sushi Boat. It is a sushi platter where you get to choose what goes in there. Different types of sushi to pick from, which would satisfy any foodie (there are options even for the veggies).
Our picks included
-Sweet Potato Crunch, Crunchy Crazy, Forbidden Roll, Slim Salmon and Emperors New Roll. It was a burst of different flavors one better than the other. This is a must recommend and good enough for two.

The special for the month was Sushi Neptune Rolls (Tempura Shrimps, Asparagus, Crab stick, Melted Mozzarella Cheese and Tobico) It was a decent choice.

To wash all this down we chose an array of the following drinks - Ginger Lime, Pomegranate with Passion Fruit, Melon with Carrot and the Lime Mint Juice. Must say the pomegranate passion is a definite try.

We tried the dessert and chose to have the Chocolate Ball with Vanilla Ice Cream (the one where they pour hot chocolate sauce on top and it melts) and Carrot Cake. I must say for a place with such awesome sushi, the dessert could be improved a little.

Overall, this place is a must recommend and definitely worth every fils.
