The Bhukkad Cafe

This time we were highly disappointed with the food, ordered chilly chicken, Chowmein, Chile bhature. The bhatures were flat and not fluffy the way you want the puris to be, the chicken was just sautéed with lots of sauces and was more ketchupy, chowmein was just about ok. I would suggest to avoid this place and opt of food central in Deira as they have better options. Seems their cooking staff changed and the taste and quality has highly deteriorated

The dining experience was nothing short of delightful, thanks to the combination of excellent food and attentive service

Staff was knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful recommendations and they did a good service.

The food was beyond awful, we were served rotten mango chutney with the pani puri which we spit out immediately and also no pasta just onions in the Mac and tikka dish.
When we reported it, the server Jyoti responded by giving us instructions on how we should’ve reported it and started rolling eyes at us also interrupted us mid meal several times to argue about the same.
She looked fed up and frustrated, and kept acting like we were uninvited guests and not paying customers.
Don’t go to the Karama branch unless you have a liking for frozen food thats gone bad yet still reheated and served.

Server has turned our fav joint to a miserable place.

Amazing food, specially the masala Maggie, kids really enjoyed Pasta and the best tea ever had in Dubai. A must try restaurant.

Comparing to the price of Champaran mutton quantity was too much less.
5 small small pieces of mutton AED 96!
Not acceptable.

I recently underwent tooth surgery, requiring me to follow a specific fluid diet. I want to express my gratitude to Jyoti and Chef Govind from the Karama branch of Bhukkad Cafe for their exceptional service. They prepared a delicious kichdi tailored to my needs and took great care of me. Their willingness to assist and accommodate my requirements is truly commendable. I believe other restaurants should draw inspiration from their remarkable service. The ambience was pleasant, and overall, my experience was excellent. I highly recommend visiting Bhukkad Cafe. Thank you.

It's a nice and cosy place, the midst of the hustle and bustle of Karama. The interiors will take you back in the past with some cool table and chair arrangement. The walls too have some well thought art works to take you back a good 40 years.
Food a little on the spicy side, not to miss the different presentation. Taste other wise I'd fine. Do mention to the person taking the order if you don't want it spicy.
The person attending to unwashed nice and sweet. She genuinelyl bad about the fact that one among us found it too spicy. We'll spoken and courteous.

Worst lacha pratha was frozen pratha asking for something they don't have reason butter is not there flour finished then way they open the restaurant

My favourite snacks place. Love their better chicken noodles. Unique dishes with awesome interiors.

It is an okay place. Kinda over rated in my view. Good for holding in presentations but make sure to talk on clear terms with the team

Quantity made me think they're really trying to save money. But then quality, that made me think the same thing haha. Go for the interior if you're into taking pictures, go next door literally to the grocery store for food, same stuff.

As soon as you walk into Bhukkad you can notice attention to detail at every nook & corner & that the place has been created in the most Fun vibe to bring about the Best of Mumbai & food lovers.

Quite a variety on the menu to enjoy your favourite Street food & more & We ordered the Keema & Akuri Pav that is served in the nostalgic Indian Tiffin Box.

Portions easily sharable & was totally enjoyable. Also tried their Pakoras which were super super YUM, Hot & Crispy & was a treat along with their Tea.

Overall experience, we totally loved the spot & savouring our meals at Bhukkad Cafe. The place has a Quirky vibe, food was great, presented well & makes us want to visit again already.

Hope the same level of service is always maintained as I have had mixed reviews about the spot from friends.

Got the chance to visit them for the first time for a workshop organized by Happie Company.

The place was amazing for the creative hands on workshop that bloggers had and the staff hospitability was simply amazing.

I did not have the chance to have their food although I was very tempted to but due to a weak stomach at the time I only got to try their Watermelon Gola Juice which was very refreshing.

Really loved to know they are open for various events every now and then. It is such a nice way to utilize their space.

Nice indian retro embiance.nice young owners with lot of out of box ideas to allow people with like thoughtwise, common interests, intraction, networking n sharing ur ideas, experences along with chai, breakfast or snacks

The Bhukkad Cafe is already known for it’s scrumptious Indian Street Food but their Live Jam Sessions which happen every Thursday and Friday evening is something you MUST attend.
The vibe, the ambience and obviously the food is worth so much praise. The live music just makes the already very vibrant place more vibey.
Had a blast and I’m definitely visiting again for the good food and good music

The place is nice for Instagram pics. On the food side to be very honest.my expectations were high but food was just okay.would give 2 out of 5. Portions were really small for the price they charge. Taste was also okay not more than 3 stars.
Food presentation was good 4 out of 5.
When doing a restaurant review taste is more important coz makes your time and money worth it. For me I will rate then just Ok.
Ambience is really good the singer needs to get 5stars for making people stay there for long else the cafe experience was not really good.

We arrived and the place was empty, on a weekend, not a great vibe to begin with. No one greeted us nor were we welcomed as the single lady and gentleman were busy arguing amongst themselves.

To begin with the seating in the restaurant is not very comfortable, the low tables are cramped and not suited for dining in and the high tables have very lean wooden chairs not fit for patrons.

The food was ridiculously priced for what are essentially starters across most of the menu and when the food arrived it was as subpar and not very enticing.

There are plenty of places nearby that serve great chaat at a fraction of the cost.

This is called "Paneer Cheesy bites. ".

It has Pan-fried paneer tossed in oregano, salsa sauce and melted mozzarella, stuffed inside sweet bakery roll bread. Also they give some fryuns to go with this.

Vry bad experince no food quality and vry expensive pani puri worth 26 dhs seriously better to have food in sumone better reaturant

If there was any negative marking, I wouldn't have given that also to this place. One evening I entered with my friends and standup comedian was making fun of Islam and locals. I was shocked to see how could people laugh on his meaningless jokes. We just walked out. A big no for this place. If this continues, this place will surely close down soon. InshaAllah

I have previously attended a few events at this restaurant and this Tuesday the Bhukkad Cafe hosted an event -“Express Yourself” and I just can’t praise it enough. It was super entertaining and such a good space to meet artists in the UAE and focus on community. I met such amazing singers, poets and comedians and so many more talented people.
If you are looking for a platform to express your talent or just enjoy art you should really attend the events that Bhukkad Cafe hosts. They keep posting about their upcoming events on their Instagram page so if you are looking to attend the events you can know more about them from their page.

Used to be a great place before. Interiors dont speak volumes about service. Poor service nobody comes to serve you.ordered 2 chais + bun maska.too half hour and it arrived cold! Bun maska never came. Please improve your service. It was pathetic!

The experience for me was pretty unfortunate. The Bombay Thela Sandwich which is very simple and not grilled took 25 mins, plus there were no potatoes in it. So we returned it and had it cancelled.
The Pullout Pav item was also mostly bread topped with cheese, oregano and Chilli flakes with vegetables and Paneer stuffing.
The stuffing was hardly there. So it's mostly just the pav (bread) that you're eating.
I would not recommend this place for sure. Lots many better places like Mumbai Masti right besides this restaurant and Urban Tadka which is opposite Mumbai Masti are far better both in taste and service.

Attended their money mentorship event, definitely had a good time. Food was great. The only place I would recommend if you're in Dubai and miss Indian street food

The cafe is known for its yummy Indian street food but their fusion food is just next level good. I tried their ‘ Invention of the month’ - Pav French Toast, and I am in love with it. It’s stuffed with Nutella and covered with mouth watering cinnamon sugar and it’s the perfect dish for brunches. This dish is a must try if you are visiting the Bhukkad Cafe

Great tasting food, but all really heavy. They were out of lemon, service is slow. Ordered keema Pao, Afghan sandwich and chowmein, all were really good.

Liked the ambience but there were no live music and food was not good at all.ordered Rajma rice (no salt at all) Vada pav was very sweet it should be spicy.liked only the Chole Bhature.

They have good preparations however the only flaw in the taste is they used frozen Cottage Cheese/Planner and chicken. If this is fresh I will give them 5 stars keeping the Indian palate in mind.

It was reminiscence of Mumbai street food in Dubai.amazing selection of dishes from Chaat to Mumbai infused Chinese and Punjabi style cuisines.

The interiors are quirky, funky and the colourful décor adds to the ambience. The long table laid out in the centre decorated with books, pretty showpieces and delish food with hit Bollywood songs from the 90’s playing in the background was an amazing way to experience their High Tea - the Desi way!

I got to try Bombay Aloo Sandwich, Vada Pav in colourful buns, Pani Puri, Nutella Sandwich, Onion Rings, Chicken Pakoras, Spicy Chowmein, and Brownies. The savoury dishes were bang on flavour and really spicy, but in a good way. I relished it but it was too hot for my kiddo and a few other friends. But I guess you can ask them to prepare according to your spice tolerance level.

The finale was their Karak Chai which they pour from colourful tea pots into colourful cutting glasses at the table. Makes for a wonderful photo or video shot!

Had a mithibai sandwich as it was quite filling.
But prices are a bit on higher side.
Rest was all ok.

This Indian restaurant is racist and discrimating. Very bad experience and won't come back. I was invited by my friends to chill here as they said they saw on the internet the place was colorful and cute. We went there and sat. We ordered food and waited so long. We kept on following up the order. The workers were unpleasant like they don't want to work. We asked for wifi PW but they were hesitant to give. The managers or owners I dont know but they were wearing color yellow at that time were not enthusiastic when we were asking for their attention. They saw us taking pics/selfies. Yes! I think that's the start when they like being arrogant. People nowadays will visit a place and take pictures or selfies right? This place will make u feel uncomfortable. DON'T VIST THIS PLACE! Aside from the service, the food was disappointing. You asked for pizza and they meant pizza Indian style like a piece of bread top with cheese and pimento.

Its deco is out of this world. Totally fascinating. And the food is equally yum and the way its served is equally fun to watch. And makes for great pics too. I heard they have Live band as well but i wasnt around when the band was playing.

"This place is a beautiful mess. They have loads of stuff and we liked the Bhukkad ka Khukkad the most, apart from Mithabai Grill SW, Fatih ki Kachori, Dhai Batata Puri and the Lava Cake to end it. The snacks are really good and the mains are very nicely flavoured and instensely satisfying. The Pani Puri could use a bit of improvement in the flavour dept.but I cant complain since everything else was spot on - including the Vanilla Pan

Amazing ambience.have been here quite a number of times.it never fails to impress me.it will a perfect place to be the day you miss home.

Great food. Different kind of fusions. Pizza puri one of them. Chicken chilly with pav. Awesome atmosphere. A guy was singing good Hindi songs. Don’t know if it’s there always. Very affordable. Not so ideal place to go with small kids. Finding a parking is an issue.

I had a chola batura.it was very oily.and dint taste good in my opinion.plus I felt it was a bit overpriced

Live Music with tasty food. Simple menu with lots of drinks option. Tried the Mango and berry mojito which really helped beat the heat. Will be back to try their dessert and shakes.

2 stars only for the atmosphere and live singing. Food below average, orders Alo Tikki chaat was average, sandwiches were hard. Fries were horrible and they charged 22 dh for it. Garlic bread was cheese on a plain toast and quality of cheese was worst I have tasted in Dubai. Avoid.

A place where both friends and family can spend a very good time.
And most suitable for a Bollywood fans as there is live music. He started with Hollywood and a non stop transition to Bollywood which was really beautiful and peaceful.
When I visited, it was not much crowded and I tried the Vegetable Pizza on bread as chicken was out of stock in the evening, and it was a real good experience. Also I tried two drinks (Shikanji, Berry Blast) which was not that great.
I think, for a one time experience for a small family get together or a friends get together, it is good

They have a great ambience with good chaat and chai. Had their zaafran chai and chinese bhel. It was yum.

I had tea there thinking they will be able to add Mumbai flavor, according to me that's the most horrible tea I have ever had. Requested to change again, staff was kind enough to change this but no improvement. Finally I paid my bill and left all the cups without finishing!

The worst restaurant and service I have come across in UAE. They either mess up your order or forget to pack the food you pay for! Such a huge disappointment as restaurant!

Nice ambiance. Good food. Loved everything we ordered. Cutting chai with wadapav was great. Could sit and chat with friends and family and enjoy the food anytime of the day. Prices are also fairly reasonable. Giving 4 stars just because I feel the service needs to be a bit quicker. Will definitely visit again.

The ambience is quite awesome. The food is worth the money. Every dish we tried was good. Starting from panipuri to the chowmein, chilli chicken and the Maggi. It was an awesome first experience and I would love to be back here again

Excellent visit indeed, love the setup completely so as the food. Whatever we had ordered has been an absolute delight to have. Extremely reasonable pricing and the service is quick despite the place being full. Would recommend this place to all who love yummy street food

Very nice Ambience and decor the food was below average. Cholla samosa chat reminded me of the samosa at the kadak chai samosa at Global village.had to keep asking for extra yogurt as there barely any. Aloo Tikka bun had more taste then the patty.they forgot to add any salt or pepper. Very tasteless food over all but if you are looking just for nice place to hangout then it’s worth it!

Visited this place while I was on some work at Karama. Was super impressed while i had seen some posts on insta and was wanting to visit sometime. Tried the Bombaiya Bhel and Kesar Elaichi Chai and I must say i was not at all impressed by both. Bhel was just average, too sour, soggy, less salt and Kesar Elaichi Chai was just ok and not a must have! Bhel priced at Aed 20 and chai at Aed 8 didnt feel justified. However must say the interiors and ambience is superb and vibrant. Lovely staff. A very detailed decor makes it a super attractive place without doubt. I wish i would have enjoyed my bite as much as i loved the ambience.

Super ambience and north Indian casual dining. Food is great but it is a Bit on the pricey side and the seatings are messy.
