The Lime Tree Café & Kitchen

I love the food. It is fresh and original. The atmosphere is ok because there are only two comfy couches. The rest of thecseating is uncomfortable small metal ice cream parlor chairs. So if you pick a table with a bench someone get stuck in an uncomfortable seat. Service is largely self service.

I visited the branch in qouz maybe 2 years ago, which was definitely better than yesterday. We order chocolate cake and Halloween cupcake. They look fantastic but the quality is average. I was really craving chocolate cake and I should have listened to my instinct, the cake looked dense, but it was very dense, a bit dry crumb, also cold. The ganache layer was hard, so I know it's been in the fridge so I waited, but no, it didn't get any better, it was a huge slice for the price, but I won't need it when it in this quality. The interior is nice, and it's kids friendly with lots of options for breakfast (healthy choices).

By far not the quality Limetree used to be like. Coffee tastes more like water. Eggs were tasteless. Mushrooms and beans were over salted. And the service staff was very arrogant! And here comes the Final: When I ordered the choco croissant, I pulled out a black hair from inside!

Food was not good at all. Mushrooms too salty to eat, hallumi salty, gluten free bread tasteless, kids' meals full of herbs as decoration, which the kids did not like,
Got the wrong muffin, got charged for an extra meal and then server tried to talk us into keeping it.
Super DISAPPOINTED!
Not a place for us to go to for a weekend breakfast anymore. Bummer!

Always lovely to get a delicious coffee and homemade cake. Wish they would still have the tiramisu and berry cheesecake. We definitely miss those! Please bring them back!

I sit here for 45 minutes for a simple breakfast, feeling anxious about missing my next appointment though I have allowed an hour.

Very frustrating. Queued to order. Waited for 20 minutes for coffee. Staff are too busy to provide service. Chasing my breakfast and getting standard replies “ I’ll check” “it’s on the way now” (actually it’s not).

Honestly Lime Tree Mgt - you don’t know that a Saturday mid morning will be busy? - can’t you anticipate and fix your manning for a quality experience?

Understaffed. Slow service. Sadly was a fan - but it’s not what it used to be. Maybe management have become a bit complacent ….

I stepped by this wonderful place on my way to Jumaira. I tried two juices by their suggestion and we liked them

There is a lot of marketing around serving Gluten Free Certified food while their kitchen is not Gluten Free. Cross contamination. Avoid if you have gluten sensitivity.

It's time to leave another review swing as it's 3 years since my last review. Once again, very solid indeed, and for me a lover of all things breakfast, they actually have an all day breakfast menu. Opted for the Big Breakfast and a Latte. Service was prompt and on point, food was very good and I liked the new style of presentation on the black enamel pans, pre warming them would have helped to retain the heat of the food better, but the experience was good. Being a bit of a foodie and from the industry there are certain things you notice, and the thing that lets the experience down is the cutlery, very cheap and flimsy IKEA branded, perfect for a starter home but I would expect more from a well established top coffee shop. Having said that Limetree cafe are not alone in using, in my opinion sub standard cutlery for a commercial venture. This won't stop me from coming back probably in the next 10 days, but it is a shame. 2022

One of my favourite place for food, may be a little overpriced, but solid good food, no matter what you choose, atmosphere is very much family orientated. 2019.

Love the atmosphere and the design. Very innovative and special menu which are super tastey and healthy. Cozy little area for kids to play and read. Absolutely adorable and highly recommended ️

Lime Tree Cafe is a Dubai institution. This SZR location is perfect for breaky, lunch or casual business meetings, with a nice shaded outdoor seating area.
Quality cafe food, coffees and cold drinks.
Don’t miss the seasonal food items around Easter and Christmas in the small shop located in the front, also stocked with jams, relishes etc.

The ambience is very pretty. Its quite difficult to get parking. Though tasty, quite expensive for extremely small portions. Also staff were not rude but not really helpful either

Standards have dropped here in the last year, they now serve food that is not fresh, the coffee is also no longer good. I’m not sure if they have dropped quality control but the last 7/8 times I’ve been it’s just been an awful experience. I kept going, giving it a chance, hoping it was just one bad experience but unfortunately it kept happening Such a shame as it used to be excellent for years

One of my favourite café in Dubai. Before there was more coffee shop serving carrot cake but the Carrot cake of The Lime Tree is the best that I have try until now. With plenty space to seat, there is also a play area for children

Haven't been to Lime Tree Cafe for over a year, I think. Used to love the salads here. Unfortunately, this time around, it was disappointing experience food quality wise.
I had a cous cous salad with grilled veggies and a cherry tomato, cheese and onion quiche. Takeaway.
Cous cous salad was super dry and grilled broccoli was unchewable.
Quiche slice was big, however bland, with one half of a cherry tomato. Few salad leaves served with it, but the salad dressing drop covered only one green leave.
Both of the choices were dumped in the waste bin after couple attempts to eat it.
With two peaces of pastry, the price was almost 90 dhs and according to my taste buds, not worth it.
Staff friendly as always.

Amazing brunch at Lime Tree cafe, we had:
Toast with delicious date jam, capuccino, kale&pine Mojito, gluten green banana bread, Thai prawn & mango noodles.
It was around 170 AED.

Food was delicious and prices are ok for the quality.
They also have a little shop which sell different types of products: mugs, food, books.

Came to limetree today with my dog, we sat outside and went in to order, i had the smashed avocado with toast and a poached egg, then we ordered a tuna melt and a chicken pesto coffee water and a coke

The avocado came as soon as i ordered, the portion size was pathetic, the other items did not arrive until after 20min which i had already finished, the sandwiches where very poor the portion size was like a childs serving a little lettuce on the side not even chips. The food was very bland, not very good experience at all, i only came because they allow dogs, but won't be coming back

Nice, bright, airy and hip place for meet ups. Food selection is good but could be better. Cakes are great.

Had been for their all time carrot cake with a craving. The cake didn't seem that good n didn't satisfy my cravings as on before occasions

I needed a whole cake for party and Lionel Riveta behind the counter had it organized for next day pick up for me. He was super helpful and friendly and nothing seemed trouble for him. Great team member Lime Tree!

We didnt enjoy due to lack of service when it comes to accommodating guest needs with dietary requirements. Staff were not helpful and willing to go extra and refused to exchange an item from a dish.
Thats unacceptable. I left without having breakfast.
It was not busy and staff seemed to be not focused.

Very cozy place, yet not alot of varieties. Great place to catch up a quick meeting or to work on your laptop.

The ambiance is nice, but given how pricey the food is I expect a certain level of service. Our food took over 40 min to arrive and when it arrived it was quite average.

Visit on a weekday with family and totally disappointed from this place. Personally don’t understand how inflexible a Café can be when my wife doesn’t eat dairy or eggs and then wants to order a toast and it has some cheese on it and she requested to replace the cheese with avocado spread, whereas the employee insisted that it has to be charged and ordered as side order. I had the vegetarian breakfast and left half of it on the place due to literally no taste. The Café doesn’t have proper option for breakfast in case you’re on a dairy free and no egg diet at all. This place left a bad taste behind and we definitely don’t recommend to any of our friends.

My family all love this place. Food is consistently excellent and the staff are always helpful, professional and friendly. We have had so many good visits. We popped in to get a slice of cake to share for my son’s birthday and when they heard it was his birthday they gave him a free slice ️ Cake portions are big and great for sharing.

You should definitely try carrot cake, banana cake, truffle toastie, beans and toast, wild berry ice tea and cranberry shpritz!

Depends which day you go, we went on saturday morning, if you have kids then perfect. Without kids then be prepared to walk into a kindergarten. Food is pretty standard. A la carte takes about 20mins.

Amazing ambience, first thing I love is their lemon and mint water which keeps.you hydrated in this heat. Salads, coffee and carrot cake are my favourite here

Comfort spot for all Dubai residents. Only complaint is the sandwiches always feel stale. But their salad, smoothies, cakee and coffee makes up for it.

Food and coffee is great. Small corner with toys for busy toddlers and a comfortable changing table in the ladies toilet for diaper changes. Service is fast, friendly and they cater during Ramadan. And dont miss the famous carrot cake.

My go to breakfast joint. Literally a walking distance from my house & and you can even get to it by the metro. I love that their menu selection changes on a daily basis. Make sure to have a taste of their carrot cake, they're quite famous for that.

This is one of our favourite cafes on the world. The menu is fabulous and includes the legendary carrot cake. There is a shop attached with a fantastic selection of gift items and foods. Perfect for tourist and locals alike with a range of lunch and dinner options.

The place well decorated, but the concept of order at a counter is very inconvenient. As I sat for a while before knowing this. The coffee is extremely diluted. Not expressed with the food either and lack of staff.

I ordered a macchiato (single hot)
I heard that they serve local coffee and it is always fair-trade and organic. 19 AED for a single shot organic macchiato. Not bad, right?

Dog friendly gets 5 stars off the bat. I like the food there, multiple healthy options, free water for you and your pet and great selection of hot and cold drinks.

The vibe is absolutely wonderful, the interior is one of the cleanest and most peaceful designs I have seen in a while.

Tasty and healthy food, great for a quick lunch bite. Gluten free, egg free and dairy free food options available. Trendy, cozy design. There is an outdoor sitting. The place is great for a casual coffee with friends, frief business meeting. Staff is friendly and smiley.

Like the food quality here. However AED 19 for a small americano no really tasting of much coffee. Am not happy about. If you're gonna charge that much it should be one of the best coffees around. That wasn't the case at all.

The food is always yummy and healthy. I like that they offer free refreshing cold water with a hint of lemon. The cakes and cookies are delicious.
