We went for dinner and was surprised at how average the food was. Even for an indo-chinese concept, it was my as expected.

Ordered for,
1. Thai chicken fried rice - shared by 2 of us. The portion fits the bill. However, the flavour was nothing closer to Thai flavours.
2. Crispy Chicken and spinach - not much to say here. It was OK. The only reason I have them a 3 rating.

I wouldn't visit again, unfortunately.

Every dish on their menu has a different taste. Their food is always delivered fresh and you can't go wrong with their lunches

Just wow food and service. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant, showcasing Chinese and Japanese theme.

This turned out to be a pleasant surprise for us.
We were on our way to sharjah and stopped here for lunch. The food turned out to be delicious and reasonably priced.
A must try is the crispy chicken spinach.

Atmosphere was dead, from the way the staff acted, I see why the restaurant was empty. 2 guys w no clue what to do when customers walk in. Food was not the best. I did not like anything we ordered. The only highlight were the cracker. It was delicious and freshly made.

This the best Chinese food I have ever had. The balance of spices and richness of taste is superb. And servings were too huge. Two servings are enough for 4 people. Will surely eat multiple times and will recommend to others.

Great Indo-Chinese cuisine. Place is a little warmer and needs a bit more cooling, especially during summers.

Wirklich gutes Essen (wir hatten Curry, gebratenen Reis & Nudeln undd Garnelen), alle Gerichte heben uns sehr gut geschmeckt.

Very nice food and relax cool ambience. One star less for not serving warm water for drinking which is good habit.

Amazing Hakka chinese! Staff is very friendly. I tried their chicken chopsuey and fried noodles were just so fresh. No smell of oil. Chicken was tender. Though the chopsuey could be less sweet. Their chicken & spinach, kung pao chicken are also worth trying.

Good place to have chinese foods, need to improve on increasing the umami and savory flavors.

Quantity was good but the flavors were imbalaced

I'm impressed. This little place looks just like a standard forgettable restaurant but I was really surprised. The food is very delicious, very well cooked and the service is extremely fast. The food arrived piping hot. I really hope the employees can smile, it really costs you nothing. Coming back for sure.

It was Delicious Chinese Food I was there in Farewell Party to my Former Manager who recently left British University in Dubai.

Good service and food, value for money portions. Limited seating due to covid restrictions however they deliver too.

Their delivery guy Saeed is our Super Hero! He saw my daughter and I running through our neighbourhood desperately searching for our dog that had just ran away. Shortly after, he rode to find us and led us to where our dog had been rescued. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for being so kind and helpful!?

Instagram: @makram.radwan, A little cozy Asian restaurant offering several Asian cuisines. I unexpectedly enjoyed the food as it was very delicious! The tom yum soup with shrimps was so good and the seafood salad was made in a nice fusion style and I loved it.

Their noodles and fried rice is amazing and so are their curries. Although the chicken lollipops are one of the worst I've had till now. They have parking right outside the restaurant and the interior is decent. So overall it's a good place to have food from just don't order the chicken lollipops.

My favorite place for chinese! Their chicken wooly egg fried rice, noodles, manchow soup, beef chili, dumplings, dan mein noodles and crispy chicken spinach is super delicious.

Was craving for some Chinese dinner for sometime so we decided to hit this restaurant, nice ambiance and same taste as it was before, but staff needs more training

For the delivery, they reduce the quantity I ordered the seafood salad twice and I noticed the same!

Used to be great, one of the best Chinese restaurants in fact. Covid must have affected it. Do not order Thai green chicken curry, its chocken bones in super salty coconut milk gravy. Very disappointed, no more ordering in. This and dumplings were aed 85, so not worth it! (

Excellent food joint in midst of the academic city. Good choices in the menu. Charges are little at a higher side. Around AED 75 to 90 per person. But worth the money you pay.

Parking easily available, The building has parking space, but require to pay 4 AED per hour even on Fridays, No parking validation available at the restaurant.

Food is tasty interiors is really good, but the staffs behavior is really pathetic.

Message to the owner: if you don’t change the staff in reception and the waiters (Amit Singh) you will be forced to close the restaurant soon. Be aware and have a look closely. Body language is disgusting.

Regular customer of The Monk for past 6 years now and they never fail to satisfy my hunger everytime I visit. Definitely recommend the crispy chicken spinach as your starter. My personal favourite main course is Roast Lamb Black Pepper with fried rice, hits the spot every time.

Hungry for some delish Chinese? Craving for some "not so spicy but not bland either" dish? And have a few bucks to spare, then this is the perfect place. The food tastes really good and worth every penny. The portion sizes are "sufficient to excess" side of the spectrum, so dont worry about it not filling your tummy. And not to forget the restaurant has a rich ambiance with red and crayola wood color combination.

Liked their signature dish crispy chicken with fried spinach. Great Chinese food with reasonable rates and big portions. Will visit again.

Too slow, you may die of starvation before you are served. They have average Chinese food, but why do they use basmati rice? They have good Thai fried rice. Also the chicken and fried greens is nice.

We love the food in this place its just finger licking. Service is ok not that great
We had one of our guest came late so we had requested for some order to be made later and told to bring kids food. They got a dish early and when asked they said all food is ready already. When the quest arrived they warmed the food and got and one of the staff commented what now we need to warm the food and bring. Staff was busy with take away orders and on phone chatting being a weekday. Would suggest karama branch over silicon oasis branch.

Different taste and enjoyed well. Chinese style foods with lots of souses. Especially more quantities is there, so first timers wanna order few items only. If needed can order more later. Fast serving. Hand Wash area wanna go through kitchen it’s not feel good.
If service guy help to select the dishes mean it will be more better.

We were in the mood for some Chinese dishes so went to The Monk. Me and a friend were craving for some Pecking Duck and we are looking for a good one.

So here’s what we ordered and their rating:

Pad Thai: 5 unlike any other Pad Thai in Dubai this is not too sour.

Tempura Prawns: 5 we love the breading plus the freshness of the Prawn.

Pecking Duck: 5 this is fab guys! Make sure to order this whenever you visit any of their Branches.

Mixed Steam Dim-sum: 5 they serve this with Chicken, Prawn & Vegetable dim-sum.

Seafood with Mushroom & Bamboo Shoots: 5 the sauce is the key! Yummm!

Anjan, the restaurant supervisor was a star! He is very accommodating, over all they have a great team! Congratulations on that guys!

We highly recommend this place to all you Chinese food lovers out there! They have 3 branches near you.

This is one of my top destinations in Dubai when it comes with Indo Chinese food. I am a fan of their dumplings and peking duck. I was also happy, they have a wide selection of food from their menu that I want to explore and taste the next time I visit. Their food is authentic and the taste is exceptional. Forever a fan of Chinese Oriental Cuisine.

Their place is not that big. But, It is spacious and have a nice seating. The atmosphere is reminiscent of an ancient chinese era. Interesting and beautiful. I also have to thank the staff who helped and assist me with my orders. Two thumbs up.

Visited the restaurant for late lunch/early dinner and ordered crispy peking duck, stir fried tenderloin with basil, chicken wooly, pan choy vegetable and mongolian pot noodle.

The food was great, however i missed to try their crispy chicken spinach, which means i’ll be coming back to try more of their food on the menu.

The food was served quicker than expected by their friendly and accomodating staff.

You can never go wrong with Indochinese cuisine most especially in a good restaurant like The Monk Silicon Oasis branch.

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. The food is very delicious and their service is very fast.

Good food. Home delivery available. Courteous staff. Bathroom is small next to the kitchen. Ample parking available at AED4 in front and around the building.

Best Place for Chinese food in Dubai. Especially the Silicon Oasis branch, not only is their food great, the location is also good if you want some fresh air away from the busy city.

This place is a little pricey but it's worth every dime. Great Chinese food. Their noodles are too good. They have both veg and non veg options and for the non- vegetarians they have duck! ️ The ambience is great too. A place you should visit soon of you want some great Chinese food.

This place has a wide range of Chinese food selection for both veg and non veg foodies. The Monks signature dish would be the crispy spinach chicken and the crispy spinach veg which is a must try. Their fried rice and Hakka noodles are also good. The kung pao chicken here is also quite delicious. The Mongolian chicken was really disappointing as it tasted just like a boneless fried chicken. The Mongolian pot noodle has too much sauce gravy on it which really just hides the taste of the noodles.

The Monk has a decent seating area. The ambience here is pretty good. Parking here is very convenient which is right outside the restaurant.

Authentic Chinese snack place - We figured this place while walking around in the area and happen to grab a bite of their very innovative Water Chestnut & corn snack. They also serve the authentic chinese whether you order hakka noodles or Monk special.

You need to specify in multiple languages what you want. The staff are utterly ridiculous in their behaviour and have no knowledge about their menu. Starters and main course are bought at the same time and your table is cluttered. They have no understanding of how a restaurant is to be managed.

One of the best places for Indo-Chineses hot and spicy food. Sitting arrangements and service is good. Parking available.

Great food. Reasonable price. Very consistent with their preparation.
Mixed Mei Fun is my absolute fave here. Goes well with woolly vhicken or kung pao. Crispy spinach is another bestseller.

I have tried momoos, crispy chicken and mix fried rice, the crispy chicken and momoos were really superb.

Delicious food, quick service, great pricing, just lacking a few refreshments and less space to sit.

Great food. Nice ambience. Ordered water chestnut and Chicken Crispy spinach it was mind blowing and every time I think about the crispy spinach it makes my mouth water. I love this place for Chinese food.
