Niyaz was a very nice and cool waiter, he was fast, nice and very cool. And i would always come back to see him and dine in!

Disappointing.

I did not even visit yet and kind of regret even considering that place. I had to call 5 times to book. The one time they picked up, they said they cannot guarantee a nice table even though I am calling FOUR days before my visit; I mean seriously? Lol. Then, trying to reach them four times to confirm my booking in vain, three of them were no reply and the fourth, this guy just hanged up in my face. Even the hotel who connects the call thought that was disrespectful.

Just a McDonald’s for big buks.
Horrible service, all they want - is for you to eat as fast and LEAVE.
Food quality lower than average, yet very expencive. Wine for 20 dollars per glass is just terrible.
Music from neighbouring restaurants and bars create a noisy stereo.
In general - one of the worst experiences in high-class hotel.

Only one word to define this restaurant: horrible.horrible the quality of the food, horrible the way it was cooked. The italian cuisine is something completely different from what I tried there and for us (I am italian) is very important, so please don't say that you are an italian restaurant.

Cats hanging around in a restaurant is a no for me! I was really surprised to see a cat under my table simply because i did not expect such negligence in such a beautiful place, knowing that cats do not belong in restaurants as they can carry a myriad of diseases, and many people are allergic to cats and some have phoebia, its also not safe for pregnant women like me. Very disappointed

Lovely location and very good service. I found the portions, on the main courses selected, to be very inadequate.

Food is not good (tried all starters and 2 main meals), food was late and staff is not friendly.

Unser Besuch in der Trattoria wird uns leider in schlechter Erinnerung bleiben. Trotz Reservierung mussten wir länger auf unseren Platz warten. Das hin und her rasende Personal machte von Anfang an keinen professionellen Eindruck. Naja egal… wir hatten uns auf einen italienischen Abend gefreut. Endlich war die Tischvergabe geklärt, ging das warten auf die Bedienung weiter? Der Kellner der dann angehetzt kam, war sehr freundlich. Das mediterrane Feeling kam überhaupt nicht auf, eher das eines fast Food Restaurants. Der Fisch war trocken, die Spaghetti Carbonara geschmacklose Mehlpampe… das muss man erst mal hinbekommen und dann noch zu dem Preis! Leider nicht zu empfehlen.

Atmosphere is a bit contrived, okay it's not actually Italy, but have seen better. Food was quite good but have had better Italian in Dubai. Like most places in Dubai, quite expensive for what you get. Attentive service, as with most places in Dubai, but probably would not rush back.

Johanne our server was very nice and professional. The food is very good, we had a small issue with pasta, but she fixed it.
Very nice cocktails as well. Highly recommended.

We ordered
Calamari 2/5, it was crunchy but overcooked, the good side that there’s pieces of shrimps with it and it was delicious
We asked for pink pasta and they made it for us, it was yummy 4/5
I tried there pizza before it wad average
Loved there sourdough bread with olives and parmigiana

Recommended! We enjoyed the week coming almost every night to enjoy excellent Italian food (definitely try Toscana Seafood soup, Lasagne, steak, or anything with truffle). What we love about the restaurant was the staff. Sweet Anne, Mathew, and all crew were just great! We were coming back again and again not just for good food but also for nice atmosphere and friendly people! THANK YOU, GUYS! Hope to see you next time! Good location. Nice food. Get a table on the artificial river if the weather is good and you will enjoy it even more!

Good italian food. Location is fantastic for a group with great views of the burj al arab and the canal. Pristine and relaxing environment,

Great view and the food was very good, service was also quite good.

Only issue was that there often flies or seagulls looking for some tasty treats from the patrons.

Absolutely tasteless and not worth a single penny, might as well just make a sandwich home rather than sitting amongst flies and seagulls trying to eat something that tries to ressemble italian food.

Food was good but still a little bit expensive for what it is. Great view and atmosphere. Staff was nice and polite.

South Africa is great. First bread I’ve had to Dubai that is amazing with olive oil and olives and Parmesan! Exceptional branzino (sea bass)! Outstanding!

We had a tomato soup that was really good and two speciality pizzas that were very tasty. The house wine is worthy of a notice as it comes in a nice"barrel" and tastes good. The place is located near the canale that gives a nice touch to charming atmosphere topped with live music.

The quality of the food decreased a lot compared to 3 years ago. The pizza is just uneatable.very wet, tomato sauce not fresh. It was horrible. Tiramissu is wet and not tasty

Italian restaurant with plenty of waterside seating.
The best thing about this restaurant is the location, however the atmosphere is ruined by the constant parade of seagulls during the day. A semi-effective solution was the staff using hawks to scare away the seagulls but they were only there for a short period of time.

What we ate: Bruschetta, rice balls, Calamarata Al sugo di mare “mixed seafood”.
Verdict: pasta was nice and well cooked and the sauce was flavourful. A reasonable amount of prawns are provided. It wasn’t the greatest seafood pasta I’ve had but it fills the spot.
A benefit is they do offer a gluten free pasta, but I think you are limited to penne.
What could be better: more effective way of deterring seagulls. Better selection of mocktails.

Beautiful place, relaxing near the water in medina jumairah, facing burj Al Arab. Good food and excellent quality of service.
