Recent changes made you worse. Cars are always dirty, client getting charged duplicate invoices, you just end up paying extra, as the customer service team is basically useless. Really bad customer service team. No sense of urgency, nobody cares about the client. 30 mins waiting on call queue, takes 2 weeks to reply to emails, but with no resolution.

I booked 2 cars today and both were broken! One had engine issue and one hand break wasn’t functioning at all! Very disappointed. They charged me for the broken cars and I am waiting for the promised refunds

They have blocked the car while i have paid everything required, it took them more than 30 min.to answer my call i had to pay more than 140 dhs for taxi and their customer service agent was not providing any assistance saying it is system mistake, after all this they said that they will only add 50 dhs credit to use next time while i am not willing or even thinking to use their services again

They wrongfully charged me 329 dhs instead of 39dhs. I called and was told I would be reimbursed. More than a week later and they only deducted the 39dhs, without refunding me the 329dhs. So basically they charged me twice now and one wrongfully. Sent 3 emails and everyone keeps ignoring me.

2 weeks in a row, i am being charged 2 days yet i return a car before even 24 hours. My account gets blocked and takes at least 3 days to be unblocked. Please if its technical issues, may you solve it because its a big deal of inconvinience.

Refund never gonna happen don’t wait, kind of scam and taking time always next week 1 month already past no refund, they claimed amount already refund however they don’t wanna provide ref number. Don’t trust!

I have tried this UDRIVE app as I was curious as to what it had to offer, especially when there is another car rental competition just as big as them, I have to say I am not disappointed due to some cars were kept in good condition and were maintained properly as per my experience, I have just driven the mustangs recently and safe to say they were good.my overall experience for UDRIVE was great but not the best hopefully they can improve daily km instead of 100 as its too little for the expensive price they set.

The worst service ever, can not end the trip in free parking as mentioned, and when you call the sleeping staff will play by you as much as he can pretending that he is searching for locations to park and then will guide you to park the car in same place you took and you will be paying for all of that. I spend this year thousand of dirham for the u drive but finally I feel like a Scans. The charge you fines without any camera proofs. You ask for proofs nothing happens. Parking tickets without tickets in window wisher. Block you car end you trip. The don’t care you spend 7000 dirham or 1 AED! Worse customer ever.

For a 600 dirham ticket if you ask for a proof because in the past problems happens at RTA no one doing something.

No one care of you! My advise don’t use the service later means only! Put the key in the car please!

Take taxi it’s cheaper and stress les and cost the same

The concept of having a car sharing is a very excellent Idea.having it here is UAE makes drivers makes the travel easy and affordable without spending so much penny that doesnt require even a deposit like other rent a car does. Udrive is the only car sharing service available in Ajman, which is a big plus if you reside in Ajman. Moreover, their rate is cheaper than ekar and the huge plus is that udrive offers free fuel for daily rental, unlike ekar. Cars are overall clean and udrive have an excellent customer service.

I can say that I'm overall satisfied with udrive.

Really great service to pay by the min, pick up near you and then drop off where you need to.

Good cars, clean and value for money. Better than taxis in most instances if there is one available near where you are.

The only reason for the 4 star, is the time given to get to the car being 15 mins.

I had an emergency and took a ride to pick Udrive. On arrival found the car battery is dead. I rushed to pick another car for daily that was almost 25 KM away. After reaching there I found that car is not there. Searched here and there to locate but meanwhile received a call from Udrive and they informed that it’s there application fault. Even though this is a great Idea but its so far my second time using this service and the cars I've been taking have problems.
Either chip not in there for the fuel, or now the car maintenance doesn't move well when I put my foot on fuel and I'm told to go find another car and switch! Its suppose to be easy service not to take more time of my day and drive when I'm scared something happens.

The cars need to be better quality and checked.
Also the same car now the radio is locked!

Using it since last 3 years. Very regular user as i dont have car yet. No issues very nice cars, price and helpfull. Last week i was going for meeting tried to close the car but it wasnt. All day it remained booked. But in evening it called them once. They fixed th3 issue no extra charges taken from me.

Horrible app. Charged me twice for a car hire and kept saying one of the charges was rejected. However, i paid for it as it shows on my statement. Been a month but still haven’t refunded the extra charge, even after i shared my card statement. They keep saying we are investigating.

Customer service is horrible. Cars are dirty and in bad shape.

Didn’t have a good experience with classic rent a car companies in Dubai as most require minimum rental days, find ways to charge you for things they didn’t tell you before or just try to upsell you any insurance or things you don’t need. If you’re after a flexible hassle free car without any minimum time of usage just go for UDrive.

As this was my first car-sharing experience I had many noob questions (eg. How to use it, where to park it, etc.) which Dipika from their Instagram account answered me in no time. She was very polite and helpful.

Here‘s how it works if you’re using it for the first time: It’s just as easy to use as Apps for e-scooters. Just reserve the car on the UDrive App, go to the front door, unlock it in the App, go in, take the keys which are in a box inside and start your trip. Once you’re done just park it within the green zone which is shown in the App, put the keys back in the box, leave the car and end the ride in the App. Very easy.

A nice concept and it helped our company save a lot on the taxis and private limousines for short trip work. TO be frank it is still expensive than the most of the rent a car packages for the daily outstation deals because the KM are limited however for within city travel I will recommend U-Drive

An additional charge of AED 5.00 per trip as sanitization fee, at least have the courtesy to mention in on the booking page rather than deceiving the customers.

Udrive offers amazing convenient car sharing service with great customer service. I have been using them for more than 2 years; although I have faced a couple of issues, they always strive to improve and make a better experience for the customer.

Also, the value for money is superb compared to any other travel means. I highly recommend using Udirve

For me i would say i have been using u drive for sometime now and i have not experienced any negative aspect while using u drive, what i would advice is read the terms and conditions well and understand and be a responsible driver on the roads by observing rules n regulations and observe the speed limits on the roads to avoid fines that may incur extra unwanted charges. Understand as well the acceptable parking zones as adviced. Ull enjoy u drive services flawlessly. Thanks to udrive.

The most convenient way of travel and hassle free.
I use Udrive services daily to and from work and I would recommend to everyone the same.
Much cheaper way of commuting and very simple to use, plus the customer service team is super efficient if you need any assistance along the way.

We had very bad experience with call center. Every time we would call, just waiting for an agent would be 12-15min minimum. Application is not super friendly for customers, it could be much easier set up to understand the changers and what have been charged for which ride. If by any chance we make two or three rides during one day sometimes we would get charged more than AED 160 in total (sounds like we were supposed to rent daily car option), but the worst is that you get charged separately for the ride, than separately for salik or any other charge that are there. It became very difficult to track all charges especially that this is not showing in the application. Process of changing credit card details also is quite difficult compared to other similar service applications, as their is no option to change it or add another credit card from application itself. The idea of Udrive is quite nice, and very convenient compared to other transportation options in Dubai. However, there is a lot of space for improvement.

One of the worst customer service hotlines i ever experienced after 30 minutes in the queue my call was dropped due to not enough space available on the mailbox. Got also charged a ridicilous amount of money for a parking fine which was given by udrive and not by the UAE Government. What a joke. Better switch to another company like ekar or get a car/taxi.

Worst service. I had to go to a gas station to fill the car up and they said the 10 minutes will be credited back if i do. I went there, their VIP tag didnt have balance. They billed for the whole journey I was not able to use the car as the fuel was low and was not able to refuel. LOST MY MONEY!

There was some error and the car was not unlocking. We had to wait for a long time for the customer service to respond. It was an excruciating experience and I sincerely hope that your services are more customer friendly.

Udrive website is a disaster. Nothing is working. And so confusing to find your way in it. Poor quality service and technology. Also the mobile application is horrible. Error messages are not describing what exactly is the problem.

Had to contact customer service everytime I did a booking. They were always supportive. Please have mercy on them and fix the website/app bugs

Very inconvenient.

They are very bad company and very bad customer service, I don’t advise anyone to deal with them.
They sent me 1 fine for parking for area that I wasn’t aware of and the reason that i had to send email about the car and they don’t note it to the customer which is tricky to get fines only.

Also the fine was only 150 AED WHILE THEY CHARGED ME 250 AED which is unfair.

I recommend EKAR they are better company.

I have used the car for not even one day 23 September 10: 40am and 23 September at 02: 49am and have the message your trip is and when I asked them how much is the total amount they have send me the WhatsApp messages 159+159+3+88 when I called ask why is that too much charges they told if you taking the for one day u can only 150KM only but after our long Conversation telephone They told me they get back to me I was waiting for there call or email noting is show up they directly Charge my card 400AED without informing me.if we take the car from outside we can turn the kilometre minimum 400 300 km but in this app it will be 150 km if we take the car for daily they are charging more it’s too much I suggest everyone do not use this app Udrive they will it’s really bad service please do not use this app and after two days they charge me again 35 dirhams without sending me invoice any notification day directly charge my card When I call them after the charges be explaining me saying that because of delay we are not able to send you the invoice and any notification I will suggest you guys do not use this app Udrive you one I don’t like to give one star

During one hour, I had try 3 cars but none of them is not in working conditions. They charge me for their not working cars. I send email, phone call, WhatsApp but no responds at all. Cheat. They might shut down soon, and run away with investors money. And if you are affected by this company I have two remedies for you!

I was fined for a ride with no clear explanation. Which technically broke down in the middle of the road. First by stating its a Dubai Police Fine. Upon checking with the Police Records (its open we can all check), there were no fines during my hired time. Nor After I hired the car, for next 2 days. Mind you I only hired it for 20 minutes. Amount AED 625.

Upon asking to COO Omid of the company, he changes the tune, the fine was for wrong parking. How can I park wrongly in the middle of road, where traffic is moving? A person at this position talks likes this, baffled me.

After which he started singing a new song, that, "You made the car dirty". At this point I was convinced this guy is just turning and twisting the situation to make a quick buck for the car. Hiding the fact the car was in BAD condition.

These are signs for a company's manipulative behavior which is so clear to the customers. Further this company hasn't turned even a single Dirham that they earn into profit. And they have been running for last 5 years. Futhermore its being managed with wrong intent. If the COO of the company comes down to such cheap tactics, its just a classic case of undeserving persons working in an important position. Dear, Former COO "one coffee please, less sugar", a much deserving role for you!

Coming to second part of the review.

Q: Are you a new user reading a review of the company? Or a user who still holds a good experience? Please read this.

A: I have had 6 experience with the company 6th was the last one. When the incident happened, I called the customer care. They assured they'll take care of the situation. At NO USER'S PERSONAL EXPENSE. After towing away the car (I stood with the car for 3 hours until they towed). I received a mail stating the there is a fine. After clarifying with them, that they have no clear grounds to do they, without a blink of an eye they charged to CC.

Which is not legal to do. Therefore, if you are in a similar situation, I recommend you to quickly block payments to UDRIVE. This way they'll call you, and you don't have to keep asking for follow-up. And reach a settlement.

Q: If you are like me, who already have been affected by UDRIVE, in the last 2 years?

A: You have a remedy.

First remedy you can complain to the RTA. Write the letter directly to RTA CEO, that this company on RTA's license is cheating people. Send all the proof you have, and then there will be a swift action.

This would be a sting on the Udrive, as their rating in the eyes of the RTA would look frail. But it won't be a stab.

Second remedy, complaint to the DED's Consumer Protection. They'll have to respond with-in one week and resolve the issue, if its not resolved, the case is automatically escalated in the DED, which will result you in a full refund, (or compensation) and UDrive would attract a fine. Ranging from AED 10k to 100k. Per case.

I wouldn't recommend the second option, after all somebody close to me has invested in this company, and this Udrive would pay with that sum.

Wait one last point.

Q: Do you keep receiving calls from Udrive Collection team?

A: Here you go! Some dirt on Udrive (I know this because of a stakeholder in UDRIVE). They actually don't have a collections team. Its a outsourced job to a company. Whose name I'll not take, why? Because that company is committing illegal activity by doing collections calls where-in they are threatening to report users who don't pay.

A case was there, a user was receiving such mails and calls, he wrote back the collections teams, with their company name and trade license, and threatened the collections teams, if they pursued him, he has gathered enough evidence to complain to the DED, against the collections company. Mind you Udrive won't be fined here, the collections company Udrive hired would be!

All in all, people be aware! Now you know, if they trouble you, you know how to roll it back to them!

My husband and I have been using u drive for a long time now. I prefer it over uber and careem budget wise. The cars are good to use, service is easy to understand and locations are all around UAE. The app makes it even user friendly! Highly recommend:)

Use the service regularly but I wish I didn't have to. Bunch of clowns. Billed one amount, charged another amount; car doesn't lock, ask them the to cancel trip, then get billed for keeping the car for 2 days. Cars stink, unserviced, terrible, terrible, terrible
