I had a wonderful experience at this upscale Indian restaurant. I'm grateful that I chose to bring along our friend's brother who was visiting Dubai. The food was incredibly delicious, and the restaurant's interior had an impressive aesthetic. The staff who served us were exceptional individuals. Moreover, Madinat is a fantastic location for visitors. Our friends thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and we had an amazing lunch there.

Free Papadam was quite tasty as they served it warm when we sat down

the tandoori chicken which was nice and quite juicy

The butter chicken which was our main course was so good that I kept reaching for more, the sauce was spicy enough for me and the chicken melts like butter and was perfect

As for drink
I ordered the fruity mock tail which was absolutely delicious tho tasted like any normal fruit cocktail juice

Our dinner was amazing with the exceptional service offer to us by Desmond, he recommended we try butter chicken and it was the best we had in Dubai.

Its how Indian restaurants are in Dubai, in the beginning there food is amazing and slowly with time the taste just disappears, service was very slow and expensive for no reason. Still nice outdoor seatings with burj al arab as view is the only best thing.

They stole us by changing the meal and not telling us the price… which was really expensive

Visited for dinner with family, the place is cozy with nice ambient music. The food was very good and seems to have good quality components it is like gourmet style.

A high quality Indian restaurant in a great location. The food is top quality, although in quite limited choice. The decor is elegant and service impeccable. I would highly recommend it.

We had Vegeterian Food. To begin with, Smoked Tomato Chai, then as part of Main course - Dal Makhni, Paneer Lababdar, Sabzi Hyderabad Biryani and Roti. Hyderabadi Biryani was nice and other items were okie dokie. Service was good. Due to summer, we got a table inside the Restaurant and the ambiance was nice.

The best restaurant and service ever! The food was fantastic and Mina was so tendfull, helpful, polite! The decoration was also perfect!

Happy hour is not happy. Poster says 50% off on selected beverage, but in the end it’s a mandatory buy 1, take 1 offer. Not 50% off. It’s not the same if I only need one drink and you can’t even take home the extra drink because it’s still too early.

The Service n staff is excellent. Must recommend Reshma. She saw that we were very well taken care.

Good Indian food and serves alcohol. Prices are bit high but in winters its nice to book outside. Clear view of Burj al Arab. This place gets full during weekends therefore suggest to make reservations.

I was given the impression that this place is among the best when it comes to Indian Cuisine. So went there with high expectations but it fell short when the food arrived. The Gosht Biryani lacked flavor, was quite bland.the day double tadka too was very average. The ambience was great. There was outdoor seating so the place created a very good atmosphere. The wine selection too is very average. Won't recommend if you are going there for trying Indian food.

Amazing place for an occasional family meal. Food was tasty, and the location along with the ambience made it a wonderful experience for us. Staff is very friendly as well. It was my son's birthday dinner and when the staff came to know this they all turned up with a pleasant surprise in the end. That sweet little gesture made my toddler's day! Special mention to Mr. Sabir and Mr. Asif for this lovely experience

If you are visiting this place and atmosphere is plesent the seating arrangements outside is very nice. Food is good and nicely presented.

Hands down best butter chicken with paratha ever! We had such a good time thanks to our servers who were all very friendly A little pricey but we had a 25% discount for coming in with Zomato Pro. Plus points for serving beer and other alcoholic beverages Highly recommend coming here for a lunch or dinner after going around Souk Madinat

Food was really good we had broccoli and chicken malai tikka with main course, cocktails where okish and dessert platter was really good overall service was excellent and we had a good time sitting outdoors

Visited this restaurant with family and friends to celebrate my husband's birthday. The starters chicken kebab and veg were delicious. Mocktails - Kashmir ki kali and lemon mint juice was good. Singapore sling (cocktail) could have been better. The main course chicken jalfrezi and vegetable curry were average. The dessert platter was good. Waiters were attentive. The restaurant has a spacious Outdoor seating area.

Went with groupon deal. Note that water, mocktails or any kind of drink is not included in the deal. Service was decent at the beginning but slacked off towards the end. Outdoor seating is pretty.
Quantity of gravies was mediocre considering the price. Palak paneer was rather bland but the dal makhani was good.
The broccoli starter was decent and the chutney on the side was good.
Chilli tomato naan was pretty soft and interesting. Methi paratha and garlic naan were very good.
Overall okayish experience.

So beautiful view and very delicious food with many different tastes and amazing hospitality. I am definitely recommend this place to visit and enjoy Indian food with your family and friends. ️

Very dirty. The cups were not washed and had lipstick marks on them. Disaappointing hygiene standards in this pandemic time.

Ushna, is an Indian fine dining restaurant located at Souk Madinat Jumeirah. The ambience is wonderful with an indoor and outdoor seating, and the weather getting amazing these days, you’ll love chilling out here. The food is impeccable, however I would suggest they should speed up the service a bit and be a bit more alert, instead of the guests having to keep looking for servers.
? - Anar Ki Pasand/ Mumbai Crush – both were nice mixes, loved Anar ki pasand more 4/5
? – Tandoori Chicken & Orange Salad – the chicken was so full of flavours and succulent this was a 5/5 dish
? – Mutton Chops – Nice, juicy & flavourful 4/5
? – Chicken Jalfreizi with Naan – the gravy was quite delicious & Naan perfect 5/5
? – Rasmalai with boondi – literally melt in the mouth Rasmalai garnished with boondi and strawberry, perfect end to a good meal.
So if you are looking to celebrate that special occasion or just chill out with some drinks and good food, head over to this place and you’ll not be disappointed.

Ushna.dubai is located at the Souk Madinat, a destination for leisure, shopping and unique dining assimilating the essence of Arabian Tradition. One does feel the warmth of the place as you enter the Souk and head further down to dine at Ushna. The ambience, the food and the service were exceptionally good.

@ushna.dubai is recommended for Indian cuisine as it meets five star restaurant standards, ambience, food & amazing service. I noticed many Arabs and Europeans dining at Ushna as the taste suits all nationalities.

The cuisine is authentic dishes from throughout the subcontinent. The scent of jasmine, saffron, curry, lavender and other spices wafts from the kitchen - beyond the entrance doors -
I enjoyed meals -
-Travancore Fish Moilee- A fish curry from the Royal kitches of travancore family during colonial Era was absolutely Delightful.

-Butter Chicken - Fenugreek Tamato Gravy with Tandoor Chicken Tikka was rich in flavours and Tasteful.

- Murg Zafrani Biriyani- Tender Chicken Thigh, biryani spices and cooked in a sealed pot absolutely yummy.

- Basil and Parmesan chicken - Chicken breast in sweet basil parmesan & nuts with mango chilli salsa was so tempting.

- Tandoori Chicken Tikka - Chicken Thigh, punjabi marinade, Stuffed shishito papper, Green herbs sauce was just enjoyable.

- kesar Rasmalai- Cremy milk dumplings with strawberry jam and sweet boondi was heavenly.

The food was delectable! The establishment is clean, comfortable and ornate. The outside dining area overlooks of souk madina and water front views.

I went for dinner with my friends for ladies night and we had a great time there. I loved the chicken curry wirh rice. The chiken pieces were so buttery and yum. Also i loved the beryani rice with meat, it tasts so good. And being big fan of everything related to bakery and bread, i just was so in love with their bread selections and specially the cheese bread, it was so so good.
The place is nice and cozy, there is also a bar. The outside sitting area is just perfect with a beautiful view over souk madinet Jumeirah. I highly recommend it if you are craving some indian dishes to come with friends or family and enjoy the foods and the view.

I think the best kind of food is one that’s not over powered with spices or other ingredients. Chef Abdul created his dishes in a way that I could taste the core ingredients of the dish, and the authenticity behind it.

For starters we ordered the Garlic Chili Prawns with Spicy Peanut Sauce. They were cooked to perfection. The chicken 65 was so subtle in taste and the sauce on it complimented it well. The lamb chop Baharra were tender and juicy. Although I enjoyed each starter the Malai Jhinga with Coconut & Mustard Gravy with Sago Crisps were my favourite not only because of the theatric presentation but also because of the marvelous taste.

For main course the Murgh zarfrani biryani which was a tender chicken thigh, biryani cooked in a sealed pot on DUM was worth every bite. We loved the butter chicken with freshly baked naans. The Chicken tikka  Lababdar was another exquisite dish with Tandoori chicken tikkas, fresh ginger, roasted onions, tomato & cheese sauce

For desserts it was Kesar Rasmalai (creamy milk dumplings) sprinkled with fine saffron & Boondi Pearls. My malai kulfi was also a work of art In terms of presentation & taste.

This is the kind of place that is worth every penny because you not only pay for the outstanding quality food, but also the presentation, beautiful water view and incredible atmosphere and ambience.

Delicious food with very nice ambience. The staff were friendly and accommodating as well. The price was a bit higher than expected for an Indian cuisine Restaurent but it was a good experience. Tables are placed with adequate distances and it’s quite safe. Just watch your steps when you want to leave the Restaurent indoor area and get into the terrace as there is some bump on the floor, which they will hopefully fix!

The restaurant vibe is good but the taste as per the authenticity is not up the mark.
The lady later mentioned it's contemporary restaurant that's why it's taste like this. But if you go though menu everything seems so authentic
Dishes I have tried and there feedback: -
ushna's chicken tikka which is very good
Dalmakhi is average
Garlic naan was having a few cloves in that naan.normal restaurant will also give the best naan
Finally I tried hyderabadi biryani, trust me not even 1% taste of hyderabadi biryani it's just some different fried rice.
We have shared the same feedback with the chef too.
Overall I can rate it 1.5 star bcoz of the vibe and chicken

WAS a great place for Indian cuisine, WAS very creative in their presentation. Post COVID19, menu is drastically reduced, hardly a couple of options for vegetarians, there’s no waterfront seating (which was an attraction). Staff are friendly but you can see them trying hard to please every guest as they seem short of hands. Food was tasty, but not upto my previous experience.

Ushna Restaurant is a excellent Restaurant to go with Family & Friend to have a quality time with Excellent Indian cuisine with Indoor & outdoor sittings. Variety of Excellent mouth watering dishes, BBQ for both Veg & Non-Veg and deserts. (Specially Chop sticks, BBQ and Tandoori fish.)
Awesome Ambience and racecourse view is a added to the really fantastic service. Deserve all the praises to Chef Abdul & Ushna team. 5/5 Highly recommended

Our waiter Yash Pat was absolutely outstanding. Unbelievably friendly, attentive (but in a non intrusive way) and helpful. He had an excellent knowledge of the menu and several helpful suggestions. The food was superb too. Definitely lots to recommend

Simply amazing! My wife and I were looking for a food Indian place. We saw Ushna and it’s recommendations, and it’s honestly amazing. The service was very good too. Our server Yash went above and beyond. Definitely our new Indian spot. Highly recommend!
