They gave us meat which was not cooked properly.
Service was also very bad. As usual food was served late

The shinwari karai had a very strong smell as they dont use motton but sheep. The afghani palu was also very average i have had better for half the price. The service is slow. I would not recommend this place for a second try

The most patheatic restaurant I have ever seen the most patheatic food I went to get some food during my fasting and they gave me such a bad and gross piece of mutton in kabuli even the rice was smelling v bad I cudnt even offer my maid to eat it was so bad the kabuli pulao was smelling so bad I felt disgusted

I would leave zero stars if I could, poor food quality, the lamb Karahi was not fresh it's was boild mutton which was mixed in masala like an ordinary restaurant, it's supposed to be cooked in namak Mandi style, the shisha was made by an waiter not by a professional Egyptian guy we had before, valet parking staff was so lazy and we waited 20 plus minutes to get our car, over prices restaurant with poor quality of food.

Yesterday I went for dinner as this restaurant is one of my favorite however it seems the service is getting bad n bad day by day, I ordered lamb pulao and the steward served me chicken pulao when I was looking for someone to call there was no one there, I kept saying excuse me anyone there but no response. I was very disappointed and after half n hour one steward came when I asked why there is no one here when you serving a customer the entire group of stewards just disappeared and they didn’t have anything to say when I asked about my wrong order and there was no one to attend us. Next time I will think 10 times before going to this place. Very unhappy and dissatisfied with my experience.

Worstest restaurant and Biggest fraudulent restaurant.
We came here along with family and ordered food which took 55 mins and finally got our meal. The chips were raw uncooked and was smelling, the lamp karahi was the worst ever karai I have ever seen. I compalint them about the food and showed them the chops and karai however they took took it and after while cooked the same and brought it back with worst and unhygienic condition. I would say they’re fraud and rude so therefore please avoid costing their fraudent center

The food was good, if you are able to get it on time; which you wont probably get.
They brought our food, once we were done eating even after knowing the size and gathering and prebooking.

Food was great, ambience was good but the service extremely slow. Have gone twice and both times service was too slow

Done right, Afghan food is an absolute treat. Having had amazing Afghan food in Pakistan as well as in the Bay Area (home to a huge Afghan diaspora), I found the food at this place every bit as good - if not better - than those places.

The Shinwari Karahi was amazing and we had good qahwa to wash it all down.

Wakha has some of the best shinwari Karahi in Dubai. Though it is cooked with lamb meat yet it does not have the typical smell associated with lamb meat. Do try their chapoli kebab and Afghani pulao. One word of advice, do order ahead of time (40-45mins) if you are planning to go for shinwari karahi. Otherwise you will be in for a long wait.

Absolutely incredible food. The Mantou are outstanding. Comforting and complex. The starter soup is amazing - add a dash of the green chilli sauce to take it to the next level. And the pilau rice is deliciously fluffy and moist. The staff are super friendly too. Great experience at very reasonable pricing.

Poor quality of food at Jumeira branch. There were soft bones in boneless kadai and when we complained, they said its not bone.price is double the price in other similar restaurants with such quality. Rice quality in platter was not good. It was plain rice and not pulao. They charged for extra roti and was not ready to accept. Overall bad experience, our family friends went their first time. I dont think we will go there ever again

Authentic Afghani food with wonderful service. Must try chicken, butter naan and eggplant dish.

Amazing afghani food don t miss the bolani bonjon as a starter (eggplant in spicy tomato sauce) lamb chops and lamb karahi with rice. Staff is friendly. Excpet some time to get served but it is surely worth the wait.
We also order the half or full lamb for our celebrations it comes with rice and it is soo good we get it delivered to our place and our guests are always impressed by the quality and taste.

Ordered at 3pm, order gets delivered at 6.30pm after multiple calls and reminders.
Taste might be okay, but the service and presentation is zero. Very unprofessional

All the Pakistan staff inside very rude and unhelpful. Overpriced and bland food. Average restaurant and not worth the money at all.

Pathetic dinner today. We went there for a special occasion and made a complaint about the lamb shinwari karahi as it tasted awful. Smelt and tasted hideous. The waiter took it back brought the same dish back minus some meat that was already in the pot. Need less to say we didn’t eat it and when we were paying the bill told them about it and the waiter started arguing with us and accusing us of lying which was very humiliating. Cut a long story short this Restuarant has really gone down in my estimation shockingly bad customer service, shoddy food and argumentative staff. I have never received such bad customer service in Dubai and with so much food choice available in Dubai I wont be going back there in a hurry!

I've loved this place. The seating is nice, especially outside when you have nice weather. They've got screens as well in case there is a match or something playing.
The menu selection is nice as well I've enjoyed everything I've tasted, especially the Shinwari selection. From what I've heard they make everything fresh, literally have storage for keeping the whole meat and they cut the pieces according to what's being asked, cook and then serve it.

The vegetarians would also not be disappointed, and here I thought they only sold meat stuff.

Very nice food, free parking in the restaurant, friendly stuff, but the food will come very late specially in the occasions, the solution is to call and order 30 minutes before arriving

Overall a good experience and but the service was extremely disappointing. They really need to work on their table service and also restroom area.

It's been more than 1 and a half hour, still waiting for food. Wouldn't recommend Jumeriah branch.

Way worse than the one in Barsha. Meat smelled and was very salty. Rice was very greasy. Place is dirty. We could not even finish the food. Big dissapointment. Despite Barsha branch is always full even on week days. Means they maintain high quality there, but not here.

We visited Wakha Resturant Jumeirah. The food was ok. The experience was overall ok. The price was high.

Horrible customer service, had to wait half an hour to get seated and another hour to be served, food tastes well but prepare to be treated as you’re being done a favor:)

I give order 20minutes before I ceme to restaurant I ask about my order they sey 5 minutes then i wait 43minutes more I give you comments about service.

Best restaurant for kabuli pulao and mutton tikka boti. I can go there everyday if I can. The rest of the food was delicious too.

Great place, must sit in the majlis area (ig that's what they call it). The shinwari chiken karahi and chapal kebab are a must.

Wakha serves some authentic Afghani food.the Jumeirah branch serves sheesha. Ordered the blueberry flavor it was smooth! Nice ambience to sit outside in this weather. The chapli kabab was fantastic and filling. Prices were abit expensive. Valet parking is available. The staff is extremely friendly. Loved the experience. Very unprofessional and dishonest staff.they do not know how to deal with issues that arise at their facility.instead give meaningless apologizes and do not take initiative for the actions of their staff they instead try to shrug it off and act like nothing happen afterwards and their management will lie to your face just to get you out the door and not have to deal with you after you paid for your meal. STILL WAITING FOR THAT CALL IN 30 min. BEEN 13 Hours photos will come soon.

Unfriendly staff, poor service and expensive pricing.worst experience ever. They will tell you complimentary deserts and later charged you for that in the bill, thats how they cheat customers. Be careful guys from this restaurent and the management.

Afghani Cuisine is one of my favorites and I am up for a Kadhai and Naan anytime. I recently went for dinner at the new Jumeirah Branch of Wakha and was so happy to finally dine in instead of ordering in. We sat outdoors because the weather was amazing.

We were offered fresh juices and I ordered one with a mix of Orange and Pomegrenate. The juice was fresh, without sugar and balanced out the spices of the meal.

We were served their Wakha Platter which is their version of Mixed Grill and it was served with their famous kabuli rice. The kebabs were right out of the grill with Meat and Chicken options. The dish was good for 3-4 adults. I loved how tender the meats were and I could taste the spices in each and every bite.

We then tried their Lamb Shinwari Kadhai which was my favorite specially with the fresh hot naans. The kadhai was tomato based with spices and green chillies.

We finished off the meal with their Kahwa & Sheesha which settled in so much food perfectly.

All their staff were so hospitable and served us very well.

Food is great but nothing else has been given much thought and attention.

The site is a villa turned into a restaurant so the layout needs to be worked on.not at all accessible for wheelchairs/baby push chairs.

Areas to improve
- make slope at entrance steps to allow for wheelchairs/push chairs to get in easily.
- install lifts to allow ppl to access 1st floor
- finishing of inside is really poor; the floor tiles are broken and chipping off. These are tripping hazards and need to be Re-done.
- men’s toilet entrance (the attached toilet to the bedroom) was opening at a dining table! Rework the layout please.

Have always loved their food. The original Barsha outlet was always tricky for parking. This one has valet! Highly recommend the roast lamb leg (you need to order three hours in advance as it is slow cooked) you won’t regret it. Great for sharing. Comes with tons of rice. Also love the shinwari karhai and the rosh (clear soup with slow cooked lamp - fantastic and delicate flavors). Beware no lift so we had to carry our sleeping child in a stroller upstairs. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

What good is a list of Pakistani restaurants without Biryani? There have many been claims about places claiming to serve the best Bar B Q and peshawery karhai in the UAE, but for me, the Mutton karhai is a clear winner. Tucked away in jumeirah takes you to a trip back home with just one bite of their mutton biryani. If you are not a fan of mutton, their chicken Biryani is equally good. Of course, your meal won’t be complete without the Zafrani Kheer for desser.
The peculiar name of this restaurant stems from the history of this restaurant. It was a small roadside establishment aimed at selling biryani to students, hence the name Student Biryani. Since then the outlet has come a long way adding more items to their menu. Although their biryani is a top contender for being one of the best, I love this place for their Haleem, Shami Kebabs and their piping hot tandoori roti.

They offer flavorful food without breaking the bank. In fact they are known for great quality foods at very low prices. We recommend their bihari kebab and mutton biriyani.

We started off with the Wakha Hawaiin, which was an excellent tropical drink, served in a half cut pineapple, delicious taste.
The Wakha mixed platter was a delightful dish which had mutton, chicken, lamb chops, served with flavoured jasmine rice. This was good enough for 4 adults, the flavours were terrific as they use natural ingredients such as green spices, tomatoes, salt and lamb fat or fresh butter while all of their signature cuisine is 100% hala

This new location is not good at all, smells bad, old furniture, doesn't feel like a restaurant

The service was very bad. We waited for more than one hour for the food, most of which was simple to prepare. Other customers had to wait a long time as well.

I very rarely give a bad rating to a new restaurant cause I understand that there can be teething issues but in case of Wakha’s new Jumeirah branch, I wish there was an option to give negative rating. Complete lack of intent and effort by the management is the reason why I’m bound to write this review.

Reached at 7: 40 pm, placed an order for one chicken tikka and one chicken karahi. Cutting it short, it’s 8: 30 pm and nothing is served. I would have totally ignored it had there been an effort to follow up on us but nobody bothered to do that.

If I owned this restaurant, I would have 100% sent some soup or humus or salad or at least a bottle of water to make sure that the guest is getting something served while they wait for their order to be served. Left from there at 8: 30 pm and ended up going to McDonald’s!

Good food, love the freshness and taste, specially shinwari karahi. But its way expensive that's only drawback.

Staff is super friendly and the grills was just perfect juciy and tender

Its a must try if you love grills that are not overly spiced however full of flavour and you can still taste the meat which is good quality
The rice is also cooked in authentic Afghani way

Food does not taste the same as the original location and is priced approximately 25% more. They are trying for fine dining and it is not necessary. The food at the original location is great and would work everywhere but this location does not have the same taste. Parking can be difficult to find. Service at this location was better compared to the Lulu Hypermarlet location but the restaurant only had one other table occupied. Temperature is kept at around 26 degrees which can get uncomfortable.
