Willow Children’s Nursery

I couldn’t recommend Willow children’s nursery more - our boys absolutely loved it, as did we. The teachers hugely helped with regular advice and implementing routines and the TAs are all incredible. The admin staff and nursery manager were always super efficient and helpful! We are so pleased they offer camp during the breaks!

Back in 2016 when we started to visit well-known, reputable nurseries around Dubai, to reluctantly send our 6 month old baby girl, due to work commitments, I found it hard and emotionally straining. Every time I walked around a nursery, I’d leave feeling sad at the thought of leaving my most precious there for full week days. That was until I walked into Willow nursery in Um Suqueim. The sound of the birds, wind chimes, laughing children and singing staff when you walk in gives you a great sense of the nursery ethos. We automatically fell in love with the nursery, especially the atelier art area and outdoor space.

The highly-qualified Willow family made us feel like home from the word go, always going above and beyond to relieve any worries that we had. The baby unit nursery teacher at the time made us feel like we were dropping our daughter off at an auntie's house for the day – fully loved and safe in their care, whilst remaining professional. One of the main positives we love about Willow is the fact that the managers and staff listen to us, the parents and our needs, they are happy to change and adapt ways of working to suit the children and family. They listen, they respond, and are solution-focused.

The Reggio emilia approach worked brilliantly for us and my daughter thrived through this student-centred way of developing and growing. Willow nurture their children to develop good relationships, communication, and collaboration through play. My daughter loved the trip to the camel farm last year as well as the visits from the fire brigade and police! Real life learning at its best.

I have the convenience of a reputable nursery over the road from my work place and next door to my daughter’s school. We still choose to drive out of our way to drop off/pick up our second daughter from willow every day as we believe it is the best start we can give her. I cannot recommend the nursery enough, nor can I think of a better nursery for my daughter and us as a family. Willow is such a happy, positive and calming place for the little ones and there is always something going on. The ECAs programme has something for everyone, whether it is a language, karate, yoga, ballet or football. Thank you to Willow Children’s nursery for helping to raise our most precious. Absolutely amazing! I had 2 children attending Willows Umm Sequim across 5 years.
As soon as I entered the nursery I loved the feel of it, it seemed bright, positive and comfortable.
The strength of this nursery is its staff. My kids loved their teachers, the teachers gave me feedback every single day, the activities and ideas were so different and progressive eg, shadow painting, the room was dimmed, back light on, music on, the kids danced and painted their shadows, put cling film on the table legs, turned it upside down, the kids crawled under, lay on the backs and painted, got out and painted over.
The nursery uses a catering company. On one hand I was happy I didn't have to Pinterest for meals, but on the other hand I wanted to Pinterest and feed my own kids. The children sit together at a table, eat the same food, use real cutlery, pour water into their glasses from jugs, it was a really good learning experience and my kids did learn to eat different things. Mixed feelings but it turned out ok.
A few friends from my pregnancy circle joined too so it was really nice for us moms and kids to be together again.
The front office was also always supportive and welcoming.
I never had a day in 5 years that my kids didn't want to go to nursery. I haven't seen a child being left alone or crying. It was a very warm environment. Even without trying, the kids learnt so much. After joining big school, which was easy as Willows seems to be quite known, we realised Willows had taught our children well and prepared them for the next step. I will always have a special place for Willows Umm Sequim and Ms Shannon, Yasmin, Alex, Megan, Jilly, Emily, Liz, Karen, Suroor, Jan, Sam.

My favourite thing about Willow is the child led learning opportunities. By using ‘in the moment’ planning, we are able to cultivate each child’s interests and curiosity! This way, the children engage with our activities on a personal level. Also, the other teachers are some of the loveliest ladies I have ever worked with. ️ Willow

The staff at Willow are always so supportive to our needs. From the moment we step into the nursery, we are always greeted warmly and welcomed with big smiles. The teachers build on curiosity and treat each child as an individual. I love how the activities and learning is personalised to meet the child’s interests. Good job Willow, I couldn’t be happier!

I found Willow to be the most delightful place for my child to learn and grow. I could not have found a more caring, professional and dedicated team and the learning environment, combined with the Reggio ethos, is truly unique. My son had the most incredible experience at Willow and I have now enrolled my younger child there as I could not imagine putting him anywhere else. My kids simply come home HAPPY. We spent four years in total at Willow and it is truly the most wonderful place for children.

My daughter spent 2 amazing years in Willow and during covid that is. She flourished and thrived both socially and academically. Now that she is in big school, we can truly see how much she has learned and how confident she is. The teachers and TAs at Willow are truly caring and passionate about what they do. It's simply a happy place you want your little ones in, it's like a second home for us and I could not recommend Willow enough. I always wanted a nursery with the true Reggio approach and so glad I picked Willow for my daughter. We already miss it so much! I always say keep your little ones in nursery as long as you can and Willow's Fs1 class is superior to many big schools, I am so glad we kept my daughter there.

Gorgeous setting with gardens and play areas that surround the nursery for our children to enjoy! Classrooms are decorated beautifully and have lots of natural light! Suroor and Sam are always at hand to help parents, children and teachers. The nursery has a fab in house nurse too! ️

I’m happy to be part of the Willow family. It’s literally a home away from home. The working environment makes it conducive for us to nurture the children. Couldn’t have this without the leadership of our awesome manager Ms. Suroor.

I can’t say enough good things about Willow. My son had jumped 3 nurseries from AD to Dubai and by the time we got here and post covid we had a very moody toddler. They have been exceptional in every regard with my son. He walked in last year term 3 and he is an absolute different child at this stage. The love and care is spread all through the nursery and heading out to grade 1 next year we are absolutely going to miss all our Friends at Willow dearly. Thank you to the team at Willow for creating a safe and nurturing for our child. Highly recommend!

I have my twins in Willow Nursery for more than a year and they were really happy there! The teachers were fantastic! Special thanks to Ms Tabitha and Ms Jilly ️️
Also they were attending the camps (winter, spring and summer) and they were very happy! The nursery helped them to improve their language and their social life! They made lots of friends! It was a lovely experience and even now they are in “big” school they want to go back to Willow

Teachers are so nice and friendly. They cared a lot about kids. My son is enjoying there a lot and I am so glad I chose them!

I can’t recommend Willow enough. Both of my children attend: my son is nine months and has been there a month and my daughter is two and has been there for half a year. The staff and admin are amazing. So personable and lovely. Everyone knows my children by name and I can see the love and care each time we drop them off and pick them up. Likewise, when I am alone and walking to the car one of the TAs always walks with me and helps with the kids without me even asking. They are extremely thoughtful at the nursery. Lastly, they have excellent communication with parents. Photos and a report are posted every day and wherever there is an illness going around they are very transparent. We are so happy with every aspect of our experience at Willow. We can see our children develop daily and are certain it is through the care and attention they receive at Willow.

It was one of our best decision to put out our son in Willows. Miss Tea is a amazing teacher she helped us to overcome the problem of speech delay in our son by continuously motivating us and my son.

Although iv always worked with my son in most areas of his development, there was one that I could not give him. That being his social development. This I believe has been a big concern for most parents over this last year. I wanted him to make friends and feel love and care from others besides me. I feel that is what he is able to get at Willow. I just want my child to be happy and seeing his little smile before walking into and out of school is a wonderful feeling. Thank you for the wonderful women taking great care of my baby (yes still my big baby:). You are doing a wonderful job

The best nursery choice especially with caring staff Suroor, Kerrie, and Sam. The staff have been brilliant. The team is always very caring and thorough.
They give excellent feedback every day about activities and encourage parent feedback and involvement with the nursery. They listen to the parent and the child's needs. The outdoor space is large with plenty of activities.

What a wonderful Nursery! The staff are caring, professional and always listen to any request. The baby room is amazing the size of the area for my little boy to explore. Thank you so much Willow for your making my baby's first nursery experience so easy.

We joined willow last year in Fs1. My son had learning difficulties and had poor communication skills. I just want to acknowledge every parent based upon my experince we had a great year. My son has now graduated and is taken into school. All thanks to his amazing teachers and the Willow team for always been so welcoming and cooperative. Lastly all his teachers for working towards his growth. I would highly recommed parents to go for Willow!

My son joined this nursery last year they were very friendly when I registered for my son. My son had a speech delay and I got all his reports before admission. Once he was in school they asked me for LSA I had to hire one cause his class teacher was excluding him from most of activities later on they asked me to take him earlier than other kids when Lsa was absent. When I went to speak with the director that my son has rights like other kids to stay till pick up time she replied in a very unpleasant way that as long as he doesn’t have one to one support he has to leave early and she can’t reimburse any money of the tuition cause it’s my own problem.
This nursery is not kid friendly specially if your child has any challenges.
I would never recommend it to any mother who has a child that need extra support even if it a really minor one.
In addition their safety and hygiene are at a very poor level.
I am writing this as a responsibility of motherhood cause I do not want any mom to experience what I have gone through.

Willow children’s nursery has really excelled on the understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach, based on child led interests and allowing the children to create their own interpretation of art by using the wide variety of art medium available at the nursery. The teacher’s really focus and thrive on the children’s interests, needs and most of all their well-being. Teachers really go above and beyond to ensure the happiness of the children. A wonderful, safe environment.

Being a first time mum, leaving my daughter with anyone was a nerve racking experience; However from the second i entered Willow Nursery I felt totally at ease, as did my daughter. The teachers and staff are all so welcoming and friendly, the facilities are excellent (and clean) and I couldn't be happier with my decision to pick Willow as my nursery. My daughter has progressed so much since joining them in various ways and importantly, she absolutely loves going there.

Any questions I have regarding fees, holidays, camps etc are immediately answered by the office staff and I cannot emphasise how important a customer facing team, that actually care is.

Every time I collect my daughter, the teacher tells me everything about her day, from what she ate, did, how she interacted, and what she really enjoyed doing during her day, and importantly how she interacted with the other children. The attention to detail from the teacher is applaudable and this info is then then sent on in the form of photos and reports that I receive on the app after her attendance. The teaching assistants are also second to none with their enthusiasm and genuine joy to help the children learn.

Their camps have also been an absolute pleasure for my daughter to attend in the holidays.

From what started out as a daunting prospect leaving my daughter at a nursery has turned into a wholly positive experience for both of us, and that is thanks to the amazing staff that work tirelessly to make the experience a good one. From the bottom of my heart I cannot recommend Willow Nursery enough. I look forward to seeing how my daughter progresses with the expert guidance of the team there and cannot wait for my son to join her when my maternity leave finishes.

I would never recommend this nursery to any parents who are looking for better development for their kids. Students dont get their minimal rights as they dont provide either academic nor behavior support. They dont even deserve the 1 star i have given to them! Please save your money and find better nursery that has better teaching and ethical values.

I fell in love with the Nursery (Um Suqiem Branch) the first time I visited it; the colors and smells remind me of a quirky and loving grandmother’s house where children are free to grow, experience and learn through all of their senses - it is the embodiment of childhood the way it is supposed to be!

The teachers and staff are warm and loving, the administration is helpful, and everyone works together as a team alongside parents to provide a loving, warm, safe and interesting environment where kid are free to investigate and learn in an unhurried and natural way. The jewel in the crown of this little gem of a nursery must be the atelier; it is a magical place chock full of creativity and imagination and the tools to set these free from the minds of children through art projects and other installations!

As the saying goes, “The proof is in the pudding. ”; and the best reviewers of the nursery are the children. They are thriving at Willow, they are happy and healthy, they loved to be dropped off in the morning, are always smiling when I come to pick them up, they hate to leave and the constantly talk about their friends, teachers and activities when they arrive home.

Clean, clean, clean. This is what I care about most in a nursery and this one is super clean. Very well-kept Willow.
