World of pets

Tried to go into the store with my baby who was sleeping in his stroller. Staff told me I am not allowed into store if my baby is in stroller. I am only allowed in if baby is being carried in my arms. As my baby was asleep, I had to leave the store…staff were not friendly or accommodating in anyway. Did not ask if they could help me access the fish and cat food that I needed. Staff were happy for me to leave their store as they were chatting with each other and seems they didn’t want to be disturbed.

My heart broke when I saw a puppy of Italian Greyhound in the glass cage, small and sleepy. I had 2 of them and looking at him was so hurting.it's been a month and he is still there.what happens if they will not sell those animals?

Came to buy the bichon frise today they refused to show the dog and asked me to come back in 3 hours be it was being groomed, so i told them ill put a down payment then let me see the dog and ill come back in a few hours to pick it up, THEY STILL REFUSED. Ok i guess, keep the dog.

Owner, if you’re reading this, you really need to reconsider the people working for you. They weren’t helpful at all AND were sitting chatting between the three of them while potential clients were in the store. Date and time 1/10/2023,11: 30 AM.

I wanted to adopt poor puppies to be them a family and take care of them but for one little puppie price was 13.000 dhs. Are you joke? Those animals are crying in those glass boxes locked up all day running with hopefully eyes to every visitor from glass walls trying to explain their suffer, and those people whoever the owner of this place is trying to make money on those poor babies. I wouldn't mind to spend 5,6,7 k to free one or two poor puppie from there but what the hek is 13.000 for one puppie? Are you in your mind? Because it is "chihuahua" I don't care wich hua hua is it, I see them as helpless poor babies "lifes" wich needs cozy home and family, not a decorationary hua hua.

We had the worst experience with our cat’s grooming at this place. We have been regularly grooming our cat in another place for the last 5 years, but decided to change our usual spot and try this one as it is in front of our home. Honestly, I wish we didn’t.
The groomers had no clue on what they were doing and definitely had no experience in dealing with cats. We’ve waited and watched them handle our cat and 4 guys couldn’t manage one small Persian. They’ve been super aggressive with our cat.
We had to stop the grooming process because our cat was in pain and terrified for how the groomers were handling her. So we ended up with only one shaved straight line on the middle of our cat’s back. In the end we’ve asked for a refund and the lady refused to issue one.
The worst experience ever. If you want your cat to be happy, please avoid this place.

Also the place was full of dog fur when our cat entered as less than 10 seconds lapsed between the previous grooming and no cleaning was performed.

Further they did not request the vaccination book, which is mandatory by law in UAE and all serious grooming providers should request.

HORRIBLE! Went to their shop at Nakheel Mall yesterday. They keep dogs in small glass boxes. Isolated, no toys, no blankets to cuddle in, horrible bright lighting. These poor and sad eyes… They have a Golden Retriever, he just wants to play and interact with people but there is only this glass box, way too tiny for a dog like this. Do not think they ever take these dogs for a proper walk, interact with them, play with them, train with them. They have three kittens - way too young to be be separated from their mom - with no food. Would you keep your toddlers in boxes like that the whole day, just to put them into cages by night time? Depressing is an understatement. I understand it could be worse, but this is still not ok. These kind of shops must be forbidden and the animals taken out of that misery. Animal welfare has to pick up this country. Please do not go there to get your pets groomed or anything. If you want a pet I beg you to ADOPT!

Just saw today in this very unprofessional shop poor bird - eclectus parrot. First of all it so ridicules that the cage, where they put this bird doesn’t have any sticks, what very important for parrots.
The second thing from what I am in shock, saw in the parrot cage avocado, this is the poison for any bird a special for exotic parrots! They are feeding this poor bird by Avocado what is the same if to give to the pet a poison
To my comment to the staff about it, they didn’t react at all and didn’t take it out from the cage! They said that the owner is feeding this bird and gave her AVOCADO!
To The Owner of this place for —— you are slowly killing this bird! Read at list Google before to start your business with exotic pets if you don’t have a simple knowledge about birds!

This store keeping poor doggies in the cages the whole day. I passed by and couldn’t stop my tears. They look so desperate hoping that someone will take them home. So cruel, just making money of innocent souls. Are you even taking them for a walk? !

My daughter like to go there every week to see the dogs and parrot.
Very nice staff.
Also they have a beautiful cats.
They let us in play with the pets

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! “World of Pets”

If there was an option to give a ZERO STARS I would!
We have tried multiple times to contact the owner/manager with no attempt to contact us back!
Been told multiple times that the manager will be in at 12pm tomorrow and they never show up.
Called and messaged/Insta messaged and been left on read.

Two days after our dog was groomed by “World of Pets” this company he started acting strange with a temp above 40 degrees and not his spritely self.
He was rushed to the emergency vet where he was put on an IV drip, very lethargic and wasn’t eating.
After running multiple tests they found something on his back, they shaved him and CHEMICAL BURNS and BLOODY SORES all down his back from harsh grooming and use of a DIRTY TOOLS! We have spent 5000 aed at emergency from your negligence.

This is so unprofessional and tormenting to our poor little boy who we had trusted in your hands!

You have cut up our dog with your dirty deshedding tool and then burnt him afterwards with your shampoo and products and you are refusing to speak.

Look at what you have done! 5000aed later and still no communication.

And you say you LOVE animals! What a LIE that is!

Fish and live pets are kept in really terrible conditions! Rona (sales staff) was very unhelpful and rude during my visit.

I'm literally shocked this store is allowed to operate. I've walked out every time, and would not support this store with my business as they simply do not care for pets!

Hands down horrified at this shop, and also at Nakheel for allowing it to operate. Store staff are rude and unhelpful, and are cashiers - not animal experts. The staff know little to nothing about the live pets they are selling, nevermind their care. How do you expect them to educate buyers on proper care and pet handling if they do not know themselves? !
The puppies look heartbroken / are not well socialized (so you'll have issues with them) and never see the light of day, the fish are in such little (and unclean) water that they cannot swim and are essentially drowning in their own filth, and I don't even want to talk about the birds/hamsters/etc as it breaks my heart.
For a store like this to exist in such a prominent location and mall is just unreal.perhaps that is why it's hidden in the basement in a corner! Please do not support this store, and instead question World of Pets and Nakheel on why they are allowing for this to continue operations. Let is be a pet-less shop that only sells products, not living beings!

Shop is located on ground floor of mall. You can find there pets toys, food and even kittens and puppies!
But food commodities are overpriced in this shop ‍️

For the past years with no issues at all.and now they have it here in Nakheel mall which is so convenient for me.grooming i highly recommend world of pets for having a professional groomers and extremely welcoming staffs.

I’m absolutely disgusted to see that the world of pets is selling puppies that are caged in the window. I’m shocked that this still exists, and I’ve seen the same puppy locked in a glass box over the course of a month. Just disgusting. The care for these animals are appalling and cruel, and I implore that you do not support such treatment of animals by purchasing anything from the store. The poor puppy I’ve seen does not even get walked in the daylight, and the lady tells me there is a place at the back for them to ‘play’. Absolutely appalling and I’m unable to stop thinking about the poor puppy in the glass box.

This place should be shut down or NOT allowed to have live pets! The staff know nothing about how to properly care for them, and they are suffering severe abuse.

I hope the manager takes action, or the community stops funding this location!

I bought kitten food which is priced "higher" than other petshops and asked them to hang on to it and I'll come back to take it and left my number.
I arrived at the store at 10.02 and they were closed and didnt even call me!
If you're not gonna bother dont agree to hang on to my stuff in the first place!
I could've just ordered it online and received it comfortably by the next day, now I have to drive all the way back to pick it up, very inconvenient.

We came here today with my friends and we asked 3 simple questions and they were super mean and rude they don’t take proper care for animals they sell poor dogs I came there a few months ago and saw the same dog they had today. We asked them if they take the dogs out and they were saying why do you want to know yes of course it’s our job l. We also asked if they could change the wheels for the hamster cause one of them were flipped over and the other one didn’t have one and they were like oh well hamsters bury them selves at night and I have a hamster they do but at night they go on there wheel. Overall horrible shop don’t ever go. They don’t do ANY research on animals and clearly don’t care about any animals at that store.

Took my dog for a grooming and never expected the outcome. It was great! My dog smells nice, the haircut was perfect. Everything turned out fantastic!
Will definitely come back. Took my time to make this review to give credit to where credit is due! Thanks.

Loved the place! Staffs are friendly, I asked if I can pet their puppy, took me in a nice room, gave me gloves and boom! We played.

I made the mistake of taking my dogs for a hair cut after reading the reviews thinking they were exaggerated and they are literally the worst I have come across! They simply do not know what they are doing. Avoid at all cost!
