The place is nice, I would recommend to go there. The menu has many positions, nice options to choose from. Sushis are good, it’s hard to find them in Dubai (that taste nicely). I would also recommend the deserts. The look adorable and taste nice as well although matcha cake was not nice, but maybe for my taste. I would definitely return to this place.

I used to eat here often, food is good I only eat from the Sushi section. But i dedicate this review to the lady behind the counter in red glasses, whenever I come she is always super friendly accommodating and recommends the best sushi

Yakitate is located at ground floor, near ENBD in Ibn Battuta Mall (where the taxi bay is)

We went there to meet our friend who just came back. (It's his fave resto)

It's my 1st time to try there and it didn't disappoint!

I tried their chicken katsu and it's so good! Their serving is pretty huge that your payment is worth it. Lol.

Their staffs are friendly and accommodating too. Them being cheerful is what makes our stay more comfortable.

Please visit Yakitate Ibn Battuta. Highly recommended!

Food was so good, place is a bit crowded at lunch time but ambience is great. Peach iced tea was amazing.

If you like Japanese food you will love this place. Pastry is amazing. Did not try lunch yet but sure it won’t be a disappointment!

The staff was professional, the food was perfect, and the outdoor seating was so nice. Everything was perfect except the music. The worst music u ever listen to. Very bad cheap karaokes for old school songs Literally it was very annoying and can spoil any mood and ruin the general atmosphere. Even teenagers would not like such a bad work on music. I requested to change it and put some House music which can suit almost every body's taste but unfortunately the guy told me that only 4 songs are there and all of them were that funky cheap karaoke songs. I gave 3 stars only because of the music. I love to go and dine in yakitate but now i have to think twice before going there. I hope the management takes this issue into consideration and solves this issue. Thank you and sorry if my words are not very nice.

Usually when ppl say Japanese food, I skip and don't go. But this was totally worth it. The food is so tasty, even if you're not suchi lover, you'll love their other dishes. Service was excellent. Prices are affordable. Highly recommended.

It was extremely delicious and so soft

Dinner @ Yakitate, ordered chicken katsu curry. Food was great, place was.well designed and has a very nice interior. Wanted to try the omurice next time.

Nice looking restaurant, staff were very nice.
Edamame was over boiled to the point the husks were falling apart in your hand/mouth. Very unpleasant.
The teriyaki chicken Hawaiian salad was enjoyable.
Overall was okay, but don't think I'd go back.

Amazing service.we had the Yakiniku Prime Wagyu Beef.scrumptious! The purple yum Neko.will definitely be back. -xoxo

Love this place i wish you have in. Great people friendly and so kind.just took coffee earlier before lunch time, restaurant is busy but hospitality is so great to me im sure to all too. Recomended, also be back in dubai soon for dining.

Ordered only a plate with different starters, and it was really good and very well presented
Unfortunately it was to hot outside to order more food, but we will come again and sit inside.

The Chicken Paitan Ramen is just perfect for my taste. Served in just the right temperature - I was in action immediately (and the service is just awesome)

Yes have a look at this nice restaurant with the Excellent food, from day to night, fast service, grate atmosphere and nice little outdoor space that you can smoke as well, with view at the Battuta archway gate and the floral entrance of the Mall.

Had coffee and few desserts (Basque cheese cake, Coconut Mochi and Vanilla Roll).
Coffee was very good but all the desserts almost had no flavours and Mochi was frozen i was literally chewing ice. Average at best.

Very cozy restaurant. The ambiance is great! The foods are absolutely amazing! The staff are very accommodating and friendly.we just love everything about this restau ️️️

Just had the worst Valentine's date in this branch. I love Yakitate but this branch just spoiled its reputation. There were many people, as expected, as it was Valentine's Day but it looks like the restaurant was not even prepared at all! SMH!

So we placed our order which were vegetarian bento, fried rice and 1.5L water. Immediately, the female staff who was taking our order told us 1.5L is not available then she went ahead to suggest us to buy iced teas instead. Fine, we took 2 different iced teas as she recommended. Then she informed us that the order might be a “little” delayed (thinking it will be max 30-40 mins) as there were many people that time because of Valentine’s (place was not 100% occupied) and told us “but don’t worry i’ll tell them to make your order first”. Kind right? No.

Then the waiting time began… We reached there around 8pm and placed our order shortly. The utensils and drinks came first then later on miso soup. The drinks were ok nothing fancy. Then we decided to open our gifts while waiting for our food. Alongside, I’ve been seeing people finish their food and going and new people coming in to dine. So those people placed their orders and even got their orders first before us. I’ve seen 3 tables too with 1.5L water! I thought there was no 1.5L water? !

Anyway, I checked my watch and it showed 8: 40pm. We were still waiting for our food. Other tables got theirs. Around 8: 50pm, we followed up our order, the male staff said “yes yes, it’s coming now”. Around 9: 00pm, we followed up again and still said the same thing. On our 3rd follow up around 9: 10pm, we just had enough and so is the table next to ours, who I overheard was already waiting for more than 1.5 hrs. 9: 15pm we decided to leave and just pay for what we had. The male staff who said our food was coming did not even hesitate to give us the bill. Now it got me thinking, were they really preparing our food or they did the other orders first before ours? ! Such a waste of time, that too on a Monday night! He was even telling us that some of the items in our order takes time to prepare. Like what? ! Frying the rice? Cutting the veggies? Just absolutely ridiculous! Worst branch of Yakitate! Wouldn’t recommend!

Probably the worst food during my time in Dubai, i understand it was delivered but the broth was all over the bag, didn’t take any of the specific instructions into account and the meat looks like cat foot ….

We both were new to Japanese cuisine and we decided to explore it. Didn't think so it will be so good and Yakitate was a perfect soft. We had a different perception on Japanese food as like it wouldn't be spice and most of the dishes would be raw. But it proved otherwise. We tried sushi and a combo. We didn't know to use the chop sticks LOL the waiter was kind enough to give us a automatic (self-made) to help us better. The ambience was fantastic and seesha was available also. Sushi was good and honestly we don't remember the name of the dishes.

One of the best Japanese restaurants I have been to especially being a pure vegetarian. The food was amazingly delicious and worth every penny and wonderful hospitality. Definitely gonna visit again and again to suffice my japanese cravings!

Their menu is big and has a lot of eye-catching, yummy stuff. Took me such a long time to choose. Their desserts are also so delicious. The portions are very filling and the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely go there again

I went to this place after almost 2.5 years with high anticipation as my previous experience was superb. Unfortunately this was such a huge let down the waiters and staff were friendly and helpful but the food was just not worth it. Since both of us were vegetarians they suggested shitake seaweed onigiri.fried mushroom balls. The oil they fried in it was definitely not fresh. Looked like what one would get at a road side stall in India (pakodas). The veg sushi was decent but had more rice then required and the ginger they gave with the wasabi was not at all fresh. I had a teriyaki chicken salad with pineapple without the chicken. This was good. I forgot what my colleague had for main course but he did not finish it as he did not enjoy the food. I had passion iced tea which was perfect and my colleague had a pineapple ginger honey which I tasted and liked. A big big let down. I do hope they raise the standards. Ginger not being fresh in a Japanese restaurant. Sacrilegious!

The food is immaculate, very tasty, unique, and haven't been disappointed since I started coming here 3 years ago. Every meal is a good surprise.

The food is an addiction and the menu is just a cry for list because you want to treat it like an infinite to-do-cheklist. You just can't decide what to choose and you want it all literally (just a matter of remembering what you ordered on every visit: 'D)

Ordered some ramen as it looks good in the photos but when it came to our table the ramen barely resemble the one on their Menu. Its like finally meeting your tinder date, they only look good in pictures.

When it comes to taste, the ramen i ordered wasnt near as close to the ramen I had it the real ramen place elsewhere.

As ive seen on other tables, they give a lot more effort on the food presentation such as those frozen ramen but unfortunately the quality of taste is lacking.

If you are familiar with Japanese food, i wont recommend the place but if you are into posting exotic looking food on instagram, this is the place for you but dont expect quality food.

Cozy place with great foods and service, had Raman and some other appetizer and tasted very good. Definitely must try it if you like Japanese food

They have 2 branches: one in Ibn Batutta Mall and the second one in Al Ghurair Mall. The only difference is that the one in Al Ghurair Mall has got an outdoor sitting area either.
Try their sushi burgers, pasties and the Japanese Coffee, they will bring the glass pot to the table and make it right there in front of you. You will enjoy the procedure

This is simply the best restaurant in this part of town. It's my third visit in 2 weeks and it's absolutely fabulous. Looking forward for my next meal soon. The shisha place is awesome next door of that's something you like.

Their cakes and pastries are freshly baked and quite yummy. The restaurant itself has two sections one to cater to smokers and non smokers. Their menu is quite extensive and can be quite intimidating if one is not very familiar with the cuisine, it makes it especially hard when one wants to grab a quick bite to eat and carry on with shopping or even get back to work.

I was confused however, when I entered the restaurant I was expecting authentic Japanese experience but I was not sure if I was in an Arabic themed restaurant or Japanese.

Overall as a brand, I say it has a lot of potential. It has a loyal customer base and people come back for more - I'm guessing it's because of the food? That's half the battle won!

Their food is great with many varieties, and their shisha is also good. Prices are decent and their staff is amazing. It needs more vegetarian options though. Overall highly recommended.

The food is amazing, but the staff needs to be trained I had to wait for chopsticks, fork napkin etc.then they brought out hot plate first and appetizer last?

Japanese Cafe Extraordinaire! Trendy, affordable (breakfast ranging from dhs 30-38, pastries from dhs 9 to 15), coffee bar, great service, convenient location at the entrance to the mall, fantastic presentation, TASTY, generous portion size and just different to other Japanese offerings in Dubai. Can you tell my mind was blown!

I recommend the egg white breakfast, fluffy cheesecake, avocado and salmon with egg special and the mango salad with prawns. I cant wait to go back this weekend!

The staff were nice and friendly. The food presentation was great and very unique. I have tried the sushi burger and it was by far the best choice I had for the past 4 visits I made to this restaurant. It is worth a try! Will always come here every time I will crave for Japanese food.
