What a joke this place has become. The nigiri sushi slices were so thin I could see through them. In fact some were stretched to fit over the rice ball and were torn from the stretching. Sashimi slices were so small I needed a microscope to see them and velcro on the chopsticks to pick them up. The maki rolls filling was so skimpy it was nearly invisible. If a food chain wants to pretend to do sushi then at least have the guts to give decent portions. What a joke! I'll never visit another Yo Sushi again. You lost another customer douchebags.
Oh, Yo Sushi, you promised us an "all you can eat" adventure, but what we got was an "all you can wait" marathon! My recent visit to Yo Sushi for their all-you-can-eat promotion left me with a tale of frustration, hunger, and a whole lot of underwhelming sushi.
As my friends and I eagerly entered the restaurant, our excitement was palpable. We ordered hot food right off the bat, thinking it would kickstart our culinary journey. Little did we know, we were about to embark on a culinary odyssey of patience. We settled in, ready to enjoy some hot, delicious dishes. However, it took an agonizingly long one-hour wait for our food to grace our table. In the meantime, we turned our hopeful gazes towards the conveyor belt of sushi, thinking it might provide some much-needed solace.
But alas, the conveyor belt was like a barren wasteland, with a seemingly endless loop of the same boring sushi dishes. There were a few sad-looking cucumber rolls, a couple of tasteless California rolls, and something that resembled sushi but tasted like a soggy newspaper. We watched as plates of sushi sailed by, just out of reach, like a mirage in a sushi desert.
Feeling our stomachs growling, I finally mustered the courage to approach a staff member and kindly pointed out the issue. I expected some form of consolation, maybe a sincere apology, or even an offer of something to snack on while we continued to wait. But the response I received was far from satisfying. The staff member shrugged apologetically and mumbled something about being swamped with deliveries, as if that were a valid excuse for the inexcusable wait times.
Frustration settled in like a heavy fog. With grumbling tummies and dreams of a sushi feast quickly fading, we decided it was time to cut our losses and leave. I left Yo Sushi with a mix of disappointment and disbelief. After all, if you promise "all you can eat, " shouldn't there at least be something to eat?
My final request was to have a take away desert as the experience dragged on over 2 hours - i was met with a roadblock of no it is not allowed as if security would tackle me to the ground if i did this. All i wanted was a sweet treat to finish my all you can eat but had no time to sit in and eat given the awful waiting game.
In conclusion, my experience at Yo Sushi was less of a delightful sushi journey and more of a sushi-slow-rollercoaster. I can't help but advise others to think twice before visiting this establishment, especially during their all-you-can-eat promotions. Unless you have endless patience and a love for conveyor belt sushi that's as monotonous as a metronome, you might want to seek your sushi adventure elsewhere. As for me, I'll be waving sayonara to Yo Sushi and steering my friends clear of its slow culinary conveyor belt from now on.
I visited for the first time in 2021 and it was the first restaurant with “driving sushi”. The last time we were in October 2023, we really liked the tea, the most delicious we tried in Dubai. There is Thai beer.
This place is a scam. If you use the belt prepare to be robbed. My group of 5 had a bill of 180AED per person, each person had 5 plates from the belt. The prices are not mentioned on the plates, just on the backside of the menu and are not explained prior to eating, this was done on purpose. The sushi is mediocre at best and definitely not worth the price tag. You guys are not nobu by the way.
Not much food on the belt, have to order everything which is pointless for a running sushi as u come here to pick up among a selection of food.taste is just ok, but nothing special, staff is very friendly. There are way better places.
Amazing experience.highly recommended.if you want a fast and frienldy sushi experience come and visit them at dubai marina mall.you wont regret it.keep it up guys.
Good quality especially considering the really reasonable price.had spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls, left happy and satisfied.would be 5 stars with seats on the Marina front
For starters I always loved Yo Sushi. We usually eat at the Mirdif branch where they know us well. As we were at the Marina we dropped by this branch in the Marina Mall. There were about 7 other people. As we consider ourselves friendly people we do expect to be treated the same way. I was shocked to notice how annoyed they were we wanted to eat of the menu and not the all you can eat formula. On top we asked for sparkling water, but since they did not had any they just served the most expensive glass botlled still water we did not want but had to finish since they already opened it. I even asked if something was off or wrong that night because they were so bored, ignorant and bad tempered. They just shrugged and turned away. I'll make sure to return to the Mirdif branch again next time although it means I have to drive 30 minutes. Please get the marina yo sushi up and running again.
Frankly disappointing. Prices have increased, selection has decreased and the crispy fried chicken was way too salty. Not in any hurry to go back there.even for all you xan eat. Unless its for a whole meal of sashimi
First time back at a Yo Sushi after probably about 10years and I have to say it is the worse service and worse sushi I’ve had in my life. Literally sat down and had to ask twice for cutlery and when asked for a dish for soy sauce the girl didn’t even know what I was asking for, until I pointed to the soy sauce and asked her where she expected me to pour the sauce into. After receiving my chopsticks and a sauce bowl I waited another 10mins before someone brought over the wasabi. Went on to trying to order some food from the menu and the waitress picked up a dish from the belt and said this is it, and placed it in front of me. I asked did I need to take from the belt or if I could order a fresh one, to which she said if there is on the belt then you take from the belt. It looked very dry and not appetising at all and went ahead to place it back on the belt and the waitress had the brave to say the rule is if you take it from the belt you can not put it back on. I reminded her I did not take it from the belt and that she did and to get her facts right. From my previous visit of yo sushi I seem to remember that a customer can choose to order a fresh sushi from the chef if he/she so chooses and does not have to take from the belt, someone update me if this is changed? Anyway didn’t think it could get worse and went to order a hot dish (chicken karaage) which was a disappointing as the rest of the meal so far. Bland balls of chicken meat (I think it was chicken) I’ve never seen chicken karaage rolled up in a ball shape before, is this me? Anyway -10/10 for this place. Avoid at all cost and don’t even think about coming here if you have any expectations of service, food quality or hospitality. Avoid like the plague!
Disgusting food, miso soup looks and tastes like the water in the dirty sink. Ramen soup is just onion salad in spicy water. Worst food ever. Order with Talabat, so no way to refuse the purchase.
It's quick, it is delish and the service is always perfect and very friendly. Tevin attended us today and he was really nice and helpful. Everyone here is super, we are now frequent customers and my favourite place in between running errands and school pick ups
I have tried this restaurant in multiple locations and I usually opt in for all you can eat option to try different food variations. This time, unfortunately I had to leave the restaurant without eating after being reminded 4 times that I cannot waste food as if they were talking to a child. I confirmed 3 times that I am familiar with the concept and in general I am not this kind of guy who waste food. I felt they just don't want to offer this package and it was certainly humiliating how the staff informed. I appreciate they have to inform people about food wastage but not 4 times. Sadly won't return again.
It was my first authentic sushi experience. The food was great, made from fresh ingredients. The staff was also friendly and patient with us. Overall a fine experience. Although the conveyor was not working when we visited, so couldn't experience that highlight of yo sushi
Tday i dined here for my dinner. Taste is awful and service also terribly bad. First taste is bland and taste nothing and they change other one it also they just put more salt and still awful. They ruin my mood and also service also bad. I will never visit again and if you don't want to ruin your wonderful meal DO not visit here
I recommend this sushi resturant. All staff are very kind and approachable to there customer even the foods presented nicely and the food are all delicious.
Ibrahim is 5 star comedian no comment on that, also the food is amazing the all you can eat offer is worth it! 100% would come eat again! Also mochi is to die for
Hungry? All you can eat baby! Great service! Literally eat till you pop! Taste everything. Most likely you will come back for more. This was the 5th time I’ve done the all you can eat! And wow. I ate enough for two days! Thank you thank thank you thank you! Please ask for Hazenn, she’s very caring and patient, and will give you a full stomach! Yalla!
Love the energy of the team here. They know how to create happiness in the workplace. Great to see the chef working hard and still managing to sing a few Tom Jones songs. This is what makes this place and fun and enjoyable to eat.
If I could rate this below 1 star I would! If people think this is sushi, you haven't really eaten sushi. Stale ingredients and the time sticker on the sushi is clearly wrong. If you plan to stay alive, don't eat this!
Great experience eating here at yo sushi dubai marina.fresh sashimis especially salmon selection.friendly staffs.thanks to our server reza for great service.i probably come again.
