Th service, food and ambience are absolutely wonderful here! I highly recommend that you try their lamb and even chicken biryani (so flavorful!) we will definitely come back!
Such a wonderful and elegant place. We truly enjoyed our dinner here last night. This restaurant has a very modern and inviting ambiance. We ordered butter chicken, tandoori chicken, chicken biryani along with raita and plain naan. All the dishes were very delicious and served just in the right quantity. I really loved the chocolate fondant cake. It was just luscious! Special thanks to Ms. Kalpana for providing us with the best service.
It was an Aromatic and spectacular journey through the diverse and tantalizing flavors of Indian cuisine. From the spices to the expertly crafted dishes, every element was a celebration of the rich culinary heritage that India has to offer. The authenticity of the dishes, coupled with warm hospitality and a culturally rich ambiance, makes it a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable Indian dining experience.
This is the first time I see a restaurant serving you something as hospitality Then they calculates it for you on the invoice What is this? This is a lie
You should tell the customer that this is not hospitality and you have to pay for it So the customer has the option to refuse the mandotary plate
The food tastes good though The food is very expensive and the quantity is small
Zafrani Biryani surprisingly tasted nothing close to a biryani and the chikken tikka masala was bland. You could easily find better quality dishes at half the price anywhere else than here.
The place is fantastic the people there were very good and humble specially the server there Rakesh who is outstanding in customer satisfied queries I wish them all the best for the future ahead.
Indian food on its origins

This was my previous review when eating this restaurant was great, today I was with there and asked for the food that is in the pictures. The bread is not cooked well. The paratha is also very bad, and the problem is that the butter chicken is like tomato soup and the biryani is very bad unfortunately and the chicken is undercooked.
Zafran Indian Bistro is our go-to restaurant for good Indian food. The interiors of the restaurant is Indian-inspired but with a modern touch. Their menu is elaborate with a wide selection of dishes. We absolutely loved the starters, Chaat, curries, Biryani, mains and the desserts. The service is faultless. A must-visit restaurant for Indian food in Dubai.
Last night I ordered Chicken Zafran Biryani to my guest through talabat, packing was in a small plastic plate, the portion was little comparing with the prize, I was so embarrassed to serve it to my guest. Not recommended at all.
It was not the first time experience from Zafran. The quality used to be good and somewhat value for money.
But our experience yesterday was very bad. The quality of food was extremely bad. Some of the dishes seems to be taken out fro fridge and served directly not even after proper heating up.
This will be the last visit. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.
Horrible experience. Asked for less spice and got food with extra chilly pieces and seeds and they were trying to convienne that this is normal spice food compare to other dishes. Waste of money and health. Will never visit again!
This is second time we eat these restaurant, 1st time it was lunch a bit disappointed with zafran biryani very less masala and not spicy at all, today l ordered 1 Zafran biryani and requested it spicy and more masala, also l added bindhi masala with plain naan bread, over all food l enjoyed the food tasty little bit pricey, but if your hungry and dont want to gamble outside then try zafran biryani now.
Wonderful experience. Must try is their Biryani as everyone order. My all time favourite is the butter chicken and Nan. So nice way of approach by the staff. Little expensive as usual, but worth for what we pay.
This is the best Indian cuisine your can find in Dubai. Super affordable price and you can use the entertainer app. The service is super fast and professional. Big thanks to Rizwan for his service. My 2 must try from the menu is the butter chicken and the prawn coconut curry. Jummy see you next time.
Worst Indian restaurant in UAE. Zero quality food and too costly, they charge 8 Dhs for small water bottle which is actually 1 dhs, such a shame. No taste at all. I don’t recommend this restaurant at all …
Even though I am a Filipino, I really enjoyed the desi food from Zafran! ️
We ordered our favorite butter chicken and papdi chaat. The taste is so superb.
The restaurant in Mirdif City Center has a spacious dining area, making our time very comfortable.
The service team are also very welcoming and caring, making sure we are enjoying our time all the way. Special thanks to Mr. Dhaval, Mr. Pawan and Mr. Peter for taking such good care of us!
We felt sorry to have chosen to dine in this restaurant Zafran in Mirdef City Center while there are so many other choices nearby. A big mistake which won't happen again.
V slow service.no one was paying attention to us.we had to literally get up and ask them for water, etc.food was also OK. Chicken tikka starters were a bit dry.lal maas too was ok.
Amazing Indian food made of the freshest ingredients and the best bit not too oily or spicy. I liked the presentation of the food and the friendly service.
Here is what I tried Feta and Rocket salad Malabar seafood biryani Ram Puri biryani Kebab platter Zafraan Raan Home style chicken curry Starter platter (street food starters) Mixed dessert platter
Let’s talk about taste Now. The salad and my starters left me wanting for more even though I ate to my hearts content. The chicken curry was authentic in taste and true to its name. I loved both the biryanis as they had their own distinct taste and the rice was cooked to perfection. The kebab platter was delicious as well specially paired with the three sauces that I was served with the papads. The raan again a must try. I seldom feel that I over eat and at Zafran I did. This is my set criteria for a 5 star! If I can’t stop eating that means it’s too good.
This feast had to have a fairy tale ending and mine was one with the perfect dessert platter where the warmth of the beetroot halwa combined with the kulfi was utter perfection. I felt no less than a queen dining in my palace, all thanks to the friendly staff and food fit for royals.
I’ve been dining at Zafran for years now and it’s been a constant favorite for adults and kids alike. The food quality is consistently good and portions are generous too. What I genuinely enjoy about Zafran is the constantly balanced taste, nothing is heavily spiced or oily so as to what you’d think of when you think Indian food. Their service is impeccable I went last night being a Thursday night, restaurant being full capacity we were served everything on time and hot food was hot cold drinks were cold so all a win win situation. We went for Biryani promotion, ended up trying two new things Chaat platter and Tandori chicken. Both were delicious! With Ramadan just around the corner, I couldn’t help but to think that this could be the perfect Iftar! You get a chaat platter, get some Tandori chicken it comes in half and full portions and voila you’re sorted and then offcourse Zafran has a lovely selection of hot and cold drinks ranging from Jal Jeera (featured below) to Masala Chai.
Now returning to the Biryani, Zafran is one of those rare places where I eat mutton, else where I prefer sticking to chicken, here it’s cooked to perfection, there no after taste or bad aroma hence mutton it is! So we tried the Rampuri Gosht Biryani.perfection! Generous portion, served on a huge platter enough to feed up to 3/4 people. Order some Kachumer salad on the side. We also had some palak paneer and Zafran special daal on the side. Ended the meal with Ghulabo jamuns.
Excellent way to kick start the weekend! #DineOutDubai
Best place to have authentic Indian mughlai food, satff is is very courteous, polite and quick. I always go their for my favorite chicken tandoori. But more than that I love their papad (poppadom) with date chutney and beetroot chutney. Must visit if you visit Mirdif city center
Everyone loves a good biryani. But finding these good ones needs a little time and a lot of calories. Let me give you the short cut and tell you that Zafran Indian Bistro has one of the best biryanis in Dubai. They’ve come up with a new menu called Biryani Tales featuring a selection of four distinct biryanis that come from different parts of India. Whether you prefer the Malabar seafood biryani from the south, the Kolkata chicken biryani from the east, or the Rampuri gosht biryani from the north, you’ll have a pick of everything you need. We opted for the Murgh pudina biryani which had a touch of western Indian influence along with a melange of Mughal flavors in its succulent boneless chicken pieces and heavy accents of mint supported by rich flavors of cashew nuts, caramelized onions, tomatoes and spices, all lovingly intertwined with ghee rice. All biryanis come with a side of raita, raw onions and green chilies. Albeit slightly pricey (AED 74-89), the portions are good enough for 3-4 people if you order a starter along with your biryani, or 2-3 people if this is all you’re indulging in. We tried some of their signature dishes as well which included their Chaat platter, Kebab platter, and Dessert platter, all of which were remarkable in their taste and portions. Zafran is located at City Centre Mirdif and Dubai Marina Mall + they offer home delivery as well, so you can choose to devour the rich Mughal flavors at their restaurant or in the comfort of your own home.
I was craving for somet hing sweet during shopping in mirdiff city center. So went to Zafran to try their dessert platter. It's beautifully decorated restaurant. Staffs are very friendly and cooperative. We ordered mango lassi, sweet lassi and dessert platter. At first they provided us complimentary papad with 3 type of chutneys.one tamarind chutney, mango chutney and mint chutney. Papad was crispy and served hot. Then they served mango lassi and sweet lassi.
Lassi was concentrated, not very liquidy. Taste was average.
But we are very disappointed with dessert platter. It consists of firni, eggless chocolate cake, rasmalai, gajar ka halwa.
Firni: strong predominant flavor of saffron. The flavor of saffron changes the whole taste of firni. It was not even close to authentic firni. 1/5
Chocolate cake: it was just a piece of dark chocolate. Nothing else. 1/5
Rasmalai: it was fine. 3/5
Gajar ka halwa: it could have been better. There is better gajar ka halwa in other restaurants in Dubai. 2/5 Not worthy at all.
At the end one of their staff came to us for review. He was very polite and listened to us.
Overall service was good. Want to taste their biryani next time.
Food 2/5 Service 4/5 Value for money 1/5
2nd review: wanted to try their biryani. So we ordered lamb biryani and prawn biryani. Quantity is enough for 2 person. They've provided us with salad and raita. Prawns and lambs are well cooked and full of flavor. Moderate spicy, rice were also well cooked and flavorful. They gave complimentary papad and 3 types of sauces. I ordered one kashmiri dew which was basically strawberry mojito. It was also very refreshing. Staffs were also very helpful. Ambience was cozy and nice. Total rating: 4/5
The food is always excellent. The menu changes from time to time so you never get bored. I am not vegetarian by any means but their veg menu always impress me. The service was efficient and the price was reasonable. Be sure to use your Shukran Card to earn points.
The food is just excellent and very tasty. We enjoyed it all. Service staff is very professional and friendly. In our opinion, Zafran could be after 2018 and 2019 the What‘s on Award Winner also in 2021 as Favourite Indian Restaurant (below 400 DHS). For sure, we will come back again.
We went there with a group hence I could try almost everything from their menu. Superb delicious. Must try items: 1. Palak chicken 2. THali meals 3. Garlic naan 4. Cashew biryani 5. Zafrani tea 6. Masala tea
The almond halwa is freshly made and yummy
In general blindly try any dish it's going to be fresh and yummy
Tried chicken biriyani.it was costly but the quantity was more.it was more than enough for 2 person. Biriyani rice was good and chicken piece was extremely good. Have heard a lot about Zafran biriyani that's why thought of trying but to be honest didn't get that wow feeling.
Having ordered takeout from this restaurant for 5 years, the food is great, but tonights experience with the phone operator who had no idea who we were or where we lived made us order from a competitor as the conversation was soooo frustrating. Sort it out!
Nicely located near food court, fine dinning resturant at very moderate price The best part is that we can order small portion of dishes which makes food price very resonalble Must try tea also
The manager knows nothing about food safety or hygiene. Grabbed a hand full of after dinner seeds with bare hands and ate it at the hostess stand even when a spoon is available. When told, he was resentful. Observed him throughout the visit rubbing his nose, scratching his head, and serving food throughout our visit. Discusting behaviour from one you assume to be a food safety professional.
Visited in this restaurant few days back. Staff was very prompt. I think his name was Rizwan. This is in midriff city centre. Nice ambience. Both veg and non veg options are thr.they give papadam in the beginning. Quite spacious.
Today we are visit in zafran it’s very good Indian restaurant we r try butter chicken and biryani both is very delicious nice recommend by munawar and service was very Weldon by gobinda thanks we are visit again definitely
Mr. Gobinda treated us very nicely and very friendly, he is the best here, ask for him when u visit zafran restaurant u will have a good time and service
Food quality is declining and the seating areas are overused. They have to seriously consider renew their decor as it’s the same for the last few years. The table we occupied was full of flies, although it’s not even fly season, I complained to three different staff but no action from their side, I’m wondering about their food and kitchen cleanliness. The fork and spoon were dirty and I requested plastics to use.
This place serves amazing Indian food. Signature Aaloo tikkia is a must have. They have plenty of menu options for veg and non veg lovers. So far Bhindi masala and laal maas have won my heart. Apart from food customer service is examplery.
One of my favorite restaurants for some lip smacking North Indian food. I visited last week for Iftar here and I really loved it. Good that I had made my reservation, the place was super packed and the aroma of that delicious spread just took me in with no efforts. Started off with dates and vimto and there it was a lovely array of starters having a mix of indian and arabic salads, and some pakoras, samosas, seafood.it was all that I wanted, then at the table was served some soft juicy chicken tikka and tandoori broccoli. Oh yes Tandoori broccoli probably was one of the best I have ever had so far. The starters were delectable and on the mains it was again overloaded deliciousness of rogan gosh, butter chicken and the fish in coconut masala. Every bite was a delight with those fresh breads served on table, we had some roomali roti, butter naan and rotis. I literally lost count of how many we had. Then we did try the biryani, steamed rice with dal makhni. Dal Makhni is again a must try here. From the desserts we loved the hot jalebis though they had a variety. We were served by Deepak who was very attentive and friendly. Priced at Aed 109 /adult and Aed 59/kids this is a deal you cant miss this Ramadan. Not that all they do arrange for the iftar buffet at home if you are thinking of having this delicacy at the comfort of your home. Lovely ambience, Excellent service, Reasonably priced, Amazing food. Loved the whole experience and this place gets into my list of favorite iftars this year.
