Beautiful breathtaking views, this is a must visit site in Ras Al-Khaimah. The sunset is just awesome, make sure you reach before sunset and if possible spend the night camping here.
Jebel Jais is the highest mountain in the United Arab Emirates, located in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. It offers breathtaking natural beauty and stunning landscapes. Visitors can enjoy activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and ziplining. The mountain also features a scenic road that offers panoramic views and is a popular spot for photography. Jebel Jais is known for its cooler temperatures, making it a popular escape from the heat of the surrounding areas.
This is last point beyond which the road is closed. You have few food trucks there and parking place. You can park on side of road and have picnic there. Biggest drawback is that you can’t see sunset from this point. Overall nice drive on beautiful road. Plan to be o early if going on weekend as parking place fill up fast there
Excellent point to take a exotic view of mountains wich has no tree or grass but rocks and pebbles. Quite cool temperature and pleasant wind from ocean is another reason to visit.
One of the best and most amazing drives I have ever done! For sure with a supercar make sure u don't drive more KM then your rental allows cause that will hurt your wallet haha. But look at the videos and photos!
It is a perfect camping spot. The sunset was so ethereal between the mountains. We took our food amd beverages and cooked there, enjoying the pleasant cold weather. While coming back at night, we halted at a dark place and star gazed. The stars were so beautiful. It was a view which I can never forget. One of the best days of my life.
Magnificent spot for camping. So many facilities available. A bit pricey but serves the need. If you brings all your belongings won’t have to bother. Make sure to cleanup after leaving since patrols issues fine for any left behind trace.
It’s a one of the best tourist points in Ras Al Kaima, United Arab Emirates. Sunset time is the perfect time to be here to enjoy the sunset. Temperature will be start reducing in night times upto 0 degree some times. Tea shops availability is one or two. People enjoy the temperature and prepare food like grill items for their dinner. There is no bus service to this place and people come in their cars usually.
It was a wonderful experience. Please note that the government have made arrangements for clean washrooms and you get basic food, Tea and even additionals from the shops located at every view point. Totally worth it.
Jebel jais is best place in UAE to get out of City on the go. One of the best place for picnic and family out, night camping. Make sure to double check your car and proper safety items before the long drive.
We drove for hours to see the beautiful view and when we got to the top, the road was closed. There should have been a sign at the base of the mountain notifying people.
Once in a lifetime scene for the people living in UAE and wants to have the mountains, cold whether, fresh air feeling. U must go and check this place out. Outing or night stat in camp can also be an option as it's very safe.
Excellent getaway for family or friends. Can do BBQ. But please clean up the mess afterwards. Remember we need to keep our beautiful country beautiful.
Be careful when you're driving or walking there. There are alot of reckless people. Also be careful when you cooking or making bbq municipality will wait a mistake from your side and will fine you with keeping your driving license or your Emirates id card till you pay the fines in rasalkhaima. So if you arecwilling to go there bring cash with you and wait till 10 am there to pay fines with bringing a copy of driving license and Emirates id with you or look for your actions carefully by not throwing garbages on the ground, throwing remaing charcoal in the proper places.
If you want some fresh air you can climb to Jabal Jais. If you want to barbecue you can climb to Jabal Jais. If you want to fly on the world largest zipline climb to Jabal Jais. If you some piece of mind climb to Jabal Jais.
The view here is just amazing. It might be a long drive but it is till worth it. (Winter is the best time to go there). Go to the top of the mountain at the cold times and get a sip of hot tea, it gives you one of the best feelings ever (my opinion). If you are lucky, you might find a goat to the way to the top. Best place to take some high altitude pictures.
One of the beautiful gem UAE has in it is the Jebel Jais, temperature drops upto 7-8 deg c or lower during the winter season. Littering is strictly prohibited and you will catch AED 5000 fine if you throw anything from your car or anywhere except the designated boxes. Security is very good as the police keep on patrolling at the point. Overall it is a must go place with a lots of awesome and lovely scenes of the nature.
Jebel Ali Jais was simply stunning! Best place to gaze upon the stars at night, do some grilling and watch the magnificent sun rise in the morning. The temperature wasn't too low when we were there. But I guess that depends on the time period when you actually go there. I've heard that it drops very low I'm late December and early January. There are washrooms setup every 200 metres up top. There are also a couple of small tea stalls up top.
This mountain is one of my favourite spots for winters. Mountain height is approximately1900m and is the UAE’s tallest mountain. Last weekend I visited Jebel Jais one more time (also visited the week before). Left frim Dubai at 10.00pm and took almost 2hours roughly to reach the top of mountain.
Beware - no lights while approaching the camping spots (camp spots have lights) - dangerous curves - loose gravels on road. Sometimes single track for two way traffic.
Temperature was around 20degrees with cool breeze at 12 o clock. We had setup our camps so that children could get in and feel cosy.
Mountain has outstanding facilities such as Toilet (v clean), Shops etc.you are allowed to do bbq as long as you dont spill it on the ground, if you do, than you should be ready to pay fine as muncipality personel are patroling round the clock. We were awake all night, did some bbq and waited for the sunrise. Finally at around 6.30 am we saw some light emerging in the blue sky, trust me, you dont want to miss this sight. It was an amazing experience.
Recommend it to everyone to visit this mountain and if you have sometime to spare, you should camp overnight.
