An hour max drive from Dubai, it’s my fav go to hiking place in Dubai. It’s easy enough to hike at least 10K and hard enough to give you that workout/challenge. So many trails you can choose, you decide if you wana go easy or hard. Other option is the stairs but I prefer the stony walk. Take water, sunscreen, and most importantly wear appropriate shoes.

Such an amazing experience to connect with nature. Peace there is. Trek is beginner friendly but I suggest Download any hiking app as direction signs are not yet available (and we got lost because of that). Bring lots of water and sun protection and enjoy your hiking.

Showka trekking/hiking is a place to try for beginner. It is our favorite hiking area, just bring enough water and food, if you like to eat at designated stops. Be sure to bring your garbages when coming down.
Let us be responsible visiting Showka and other places to not spoil it with plastic, cigerette butts and other trash possibly.
Enjoy the visit, make sure you are early to enjoy the trek and come down on or before 9 am.

Easy and good trail for a long walk.
Distance: 12.83 km
Duration: 4 to 5 hours
Type: Loop
Difficulty Level: Easy
It's a good trail for a long walk. Not so great scenes. I didn't feel like taking out my phone for photos. But yes a good long walk of 12+ km. The view of dam from top it good. The return path from the other side of the mountain was better in terms of views. There are rest areas in between to rest and refresh.

A tough job to climb all the way up but the view from up top is really worth it and all the hard work is gonna pay off.

Best hiking place thanks to RAK govt to made stairs so its easy for all age groups to reach the tip and have a mesmerising view of the city and main high way.
