It's a beautiful beach but it not as I expected. Beach is under construction and full beach side is messed with in cement and sand. So it better to visit Dubai beach
Nice location but unfortunately it seems you can no longer camp or BBQ. We had set up our tents here at 2pm and began cooking around 4.30pm. Sadly we were told by the security/patrol that had to take down our tents and put out our BBQ within 5 minutes or there would be a fine. We were allowed to stay and eat our food as long as there was no tent, no fire or no BBQ. Has anyone else had this experience? There was no explanation given to us why we had to pack up and everyone around us seemed just as confused!
The place itself is a great camping spot with a beach front. But there's no facilities or restrooms nearby! I made 4 trips to the nearest petrol station which is not that near just to drop the ladies to use the restroom that was a nightmare on its own Also if you're not driving a 4x4 don't gamble trying to go to the dandy beach with your vehicle. People with kids will suffer
Crowded and very noisy during weekend. Camping is not a good idea as most of the people leave enormous quantities of trash around. It also gets noisy as during the night, people race with cars and quad-bikes. Not recommended
The first thing I saw here is Umm Al-Quwain Government's signs banning Camping, Fishing, and swimming. However, it was obvious that everyone's camping and swimming! There was even camping caravans for rent! We saw some people doing para-sailing. The water was not very clear. Sand seemed dark and polluted. And there was a lot of trash and plastic waste on the beach. This is just sad, I don't like this place at all, and wouldn't camp here even if it was allowed by the Government.
Go until the entrance of Marjan Island and then take the open beach exit just before entering to reach one of the best beach camping and barbecue spots in UAE. The place is around 80kms from Dubai and 50kms from Sharjah. You can camp on the beach side keeping the high tides early morning in the mind. So camp atleast 30metres away from the shore. You can barbecue, bonfire and camping around the beach with a lot of families doing the same on the weekend. Place is full on weekends with a mixed crowd including Europeans, Indians and Pakistanis. You can also do kayaking during the day and if lucky can spot flamingos during the day.
