Fun hike! We went up to the bat cave and then up to a little village a ways above the cave; there and back from this pin was about 10.5 miles.
Just make sure to use the bathroom at the last gas station before you arrive since there's no bathroom nearby-Jabal Yanas is also a military security base not a hiking base.

We had such fun with the kids on the hiking trails. We spent the night camping, really nice being out in the mountains. There are lots of hiking trails out there.

This place has a realistic mountain experience. No fences, no concrete roads, that is a safety caution ️ but if uh going there please be very slow at hilly terrains and keep moving at those terrains. Other than that this place is so scenic

If you want to visit sa village above, do it on winter season and with a guide. There are wild life in the area which are very venoumous.

Amazing hiking path but never walk alone, there is no cellphone coverage and no internet connection. Better to be in a small group or at least with a friend.

A beautiful location. I've been here several times for hiking on different trails. A great experience but mandate to travel with an experienced guide.

Not worth a visit, honestly, unless you have some preparation and an unbridled desire to visit this place
A very difficult, long, sometimes dangerous route. But very interesting, varied and beautiful. We visited twice, the first time we stopped on the rocks, both times we didn’t reach the village, but the third time I won’t go until they cut a route along the mountain)
The road to the lakes and back took 5 hours
——
Very beautiful and dangerous trail. You should be prepared: good fit and equipped. Because it’s looks really dangerous sometimes.
We haven’t got village and don’t want to go there next time, until they make the easier. It took 5 hours to get ponds and return back.

It's a one of the most beautiful trails!

You need a 4x4 for some part of the way or otherwise you can walk it but it will add an extra hour or so to your hike.

I would consider the hike to be intermediate to advanced in some parts. You can also see water ponds after the rain.

Definitely gorgeous trail!

A proper place to trek.if going during late evening carry all the necessary things like torch n stuff.

Been there with friends, steapy and beautiful place. Heard few sounds over there which was an amazing experience. This one was tough as there is no proper trail, you have to create one for you. Leave marks for the trail you have used. The morning at this place is very pleasant. When sun rises from the other side of the mountains you will find bloody sky which is a true scenery for the eyes. You will say masha allah.
And when sun start shedding light on peaks on the mountains it looks like gold.
It was an amazing experience with friends over there.

Must visit place.

One of the best wadi for very adventurous hiking. Wadi has many trails with easy to difficult level and not suitable for beginners. Stunning view from the top of mountain, when you reach Al Sannat Village. Carry plenty of water, snacks and start trekking early morning to avoid hot weather. Lot of places for BBQ, family gathering and 4*4 is recommended to reach the starting point. Not suggested to do trail alone, as few locations are difficult to cross where you need to take support from fixed ropes at the mountain balconies. Keep the wadi clean, stay safe and enjoy.

If you were thinking to go for an easy walk with your kids in a wadi, then re-think your destination. Wadi Naqab is a stunning destination which offers a challenging hike. The start is easy and the first couple of kilometers will look and feel like your typical wadi. Soon, enormous rocks will appear in front of you and this is where a good conditioning would come handy, as well as good walking shoes. You have options to go around those rocks but most of them will require climbing on the side of the mountains. Beautiful, challenging and stunning views! A solid 4-hour workout.

A great place for trek. There are many trek paths or else you can park the car at the entrance and walk around, climb to too. As you wish. There is a military check post, nothing to worry you can go beyond.

I want to strongly advise this hike for one of the best moderate level hikes in UAE. Its suitable for families if you have done hikings before. The route starts when road finishes, you will see 2 plates Hazza Fazza there (please see my pictures). The route is going through the wadi (canyon), most of the time it dry and even not required boldering (only when it is wet). You need to follow yellow / red arrows. There are Hazza Fazza posts: 500 meters, 1 km, 3 km and when you reach the waterfall (no waterfall when its dry, only the pond). There are ponds on the way but not advisable to swim there as water is not clean. If you want to go up to the village then you will have 2 options.

Option #1: you reach the end of the canyon with long pond, go back about 100 meters and you will find the black rope to go up. Then once climbed about 50 meters you need to go left towards the rock fall which will lead you all of the way up. You will see some stone domes on the way marking the route.

Option #2: before reaching Wadi Koub post look to your right and on the hill you will see a post AlSanat village. Its not easy to spot ftom canyon. But once you find a trip follow the stone domes up.

To return back we used the same way only different descent.

Total distance from parking is about 10km.

Enjoy your hike!

Great views and lot of trekking routes available. Would recommend a 4*4 but small cars also okay. 1.5 hours from Dubai and a great mountain escape.

The trail was a bit confusing, at some point there are 2 directions. But overall it’s beautiful and must visit!

Very nice and beautiful place. Adventures hiking spot. The hiking doesn't start here. When you reach this spot you will see a road going to your right.take that road and go till the end of road. The road is rough so go slowly and carefully. You can go by car also, no problem, just be careful whiling driving.

When you reach at the end of road you will find a small board showing hiking start point. Whosoever has written that the difficulty level is moderate is completely wrong. It is difficult (al least for me). You will get confuse as there are no trail marks. You need to go through the river bed cross some huge stones and then you will see one trail marking board. The trail have two ways (not visible at all). Either you climb and go through mountain or go through the river bed. Please note, be very careful as the river bed huge stones are very very slippery. And the mountains have sharp edges and dangerous falls.

It says 8 km and takes 4 hours. Better you should start at or before 12 pm. Because it will be dark while returning.

Beautiful scenery - great place to get away from the city and all the big skyscrapers and blinding lights.

Perfect for friends and families who loves a little hike around a mountain. Some parts are steep so best to be careful. There are some flat areas that are perfect to settle down and have a little picnic while enjoying the scenery around you.

Amazing hiking trail, would not recommend for first time hikers, and requires okay fitness level, ascend is around 760 meters
02 April 2021 18:05
Beautiful hike up to sheri village passing a bat cave, look for rock formations to follow or go with a hike guide, don't venture alone or you might get lost like many do every year!
13 March 2021 11:51
Beautifull place for hiking, Track is 8 km long and take around 4-5 hours. Terrain is moderate level. Reccommend go early morning don't forget take: food, water, hike shoes, right wear, better hike in group.

Wadi Naqab is a natural beauty of UAE. The valley is surrounded by Rocky Mountains which in rainy season becomes a river bed.

Nice place for those of you who likes mount hiking and picnics with BBQ. Best time to be is winter time, gets cold at night so bring a jacket. Be sure to keep the place clean after your self. Save the nature.

Great place for hiking! If you don’t have a 4x4 the road is tricky but feasible! Just be very careful with the rocks!

Otherwise a bit challenging to reach Sherry village but really worth it:)

One tip to not get lost (like us) follow the small rocks tower done by the previous hikers ;)

Enjoy!

Excellent hike for advanced trekkers. You would need to keep an eye for the red marks to read to the end of the wadi (valley).
Small tip: Park at the end of the off-road (use a 4x4), we did a mistake of parking earlier and walking for atleast 30 mins before starting the trek.

Not enough clear signs in the area. Keep your eyes open!
