I visited maliha desert for camping n it was superfun, full night cool breeze with bon fire n barbeque (its essential to have a bonfire pit to avoid damage to sand). I found it safe n secure as cars were petrolling n security wise also safe u shuld carry a proper light. I would advise to reach before sunset to select the best location n put ur tent first.enjoy
