Group On Holidays

They are duping people with double currency charges. They are Dubai based so they can sell in AED.

On their website, they mention price in INR, then take payment in AED considering a rate of Rs 20. BUT, you'll again pay AED with your card at Rs. 23 + conversion extra(2-3%). Let's understand this fraud with an example:

India to Dubai Tour from Delhi: 45000 INR as per their website.
AED payment required as per them is 45000/20=2250AED.

Now you pay 2250 AED as per 10Jan 24 rate 2250*22.7=Rs. 51075+Conversion Charges.

By this simple maths, they will earn ~6000 extra per booking, with addons this would be ~10K per booking (and no tax because they are Dubai based) because they charge IMAGINARY conversion at Rs 20.

Ideally, either they should sell in AED and say honestly that their package is 2250 AED(Rs 51000) or accept INR 45000 with online payments(being Dubai based doesn't stop this).

If you're okay with this *hidden* extra, then go ahead.

Joined the group on Jan4,2024 to Jan 8,2024. This was an amazing experience. I will give 5/5 rating for Food quality, Hotel stay, Management and tour advice.

I bought a package going to Georgia for four individuals. This is for 21-24 September 2022 trip. They marketed the package as "Free Visa on Arrival" but this is not entirely true. I have two family relatives with me, my mother and cousin, that are with UAE visit visa but not UAE residents. GroupOnHolidays has failed to tell me timely that I still need to obtain visas for non-UAE residents, and just informed me about it two days before the trip. At this time, it was too late to obtain visas for them. I have asked GroupOnHolidays to move the trip to obtain first the visas but they denied.

We consulted with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Embassy of Georgia in Abu Dhabi and had a resolution that "international travelers who are holders of valid visa or/and residence permit of UAE may enter and stay in Georgia. " As my mother and cousin are holders of 90-day UAE multiple entry visa, we are of the understanding that they will be allowed to enter and stay in Georgia thus we still pushed through with our trip.

But then they were denied entry. Of course the final decision to cross the border is still at the discretion of Georgian Immigration Authority. This happened when my friend and I already crossed the border. We have been waiting for so long about the update but there was no even status from the officers if they were denied or not. We couldn't contact them as they did not have Internet connection and we tried to call as well but they were out of reach. We tried to consult with GroupOnHolidays what we can do but there was no assistance from them. After a few hours we got in touch with my relatives and fortunately they were fine and that they were back in Sharjah. My mother cried during the trip what could have been happy memories, I feel so devastated about what happened. As this was supposed to be a trip with four of us, my friend and I just decided to rebook our flights and leave the next day but GroupOnHolidays also said they cannot rebook our flights so had to rebook them on our own by contacting directly the airlines.

I understand that I should have been responsible with the visa requirements but I think that the reason why we also rely with travel agents because they are supposed to be the experts, thus would have appreciated if they have informed us fully beforehand. Otherwise, if I had to be responsible for all documentations then I don't see the point of buying tour agency packages moving forward and would have more peace of mind booking all things by my own.

These events led me to a conclusion that GroupOnHolidays are only after our money and I will never deal with them again.

This review system does not allow me to give 0 ratings, so I have to give 1 star. Pathetic service, bad arrangements, too many hidden costs and multi level marketing type of shopping setup. Tour price is very cheap because the itenary states visit to a tourist place and after going there the guide asks to buy the ticket of you want to go inside, otherwise you are back from the gate. He takes you to shopping to only those shops were he has commission per sale. No proper lunch or dinner arrangements. He asks you to manage on your own in that new place. Wouldn't recommend any body to consider them.

They are worst travel agent first they show you package in Inr then they will start changing you it to in aed. My personal experience is worst with this travel agent. Unnecessary conversation charges you hv to pay from the day one once you do first payment you are trapped till end.

Without doubt one of the favourite city in Georgia (tbilisi).

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Ani Gurguliani. The guide and tour was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that she deserves a special thanks. We had four great days there, which obviously also added up to the experience.

Ani is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!). I truly enjoyed walking through the old city of tbilisi. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a climate and peaceful environment. She explained each and evry history of Georgia

The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to all of us. All respect for Anwho does a great job there; a true sample of excellent tour guide!

I went to Georgia with their package on Jan 5th 2023. This is going to be a detailed review so please read carefully before booking with them.
I had an amazing experience in Georgia, experienced snow, Christmas market everything I wanted. Our tour guide Mr. Levani (posted a pic of him with my son) was such a lovely person, the first day I told him I am a vegetarian, he made sure that I got good vegetarian meal during the entire trip, took us to the best wine shop where we could taste and buy wine, dint rush us, gave us enough washroom breaks during the whole trip. That being said, will I recommend Group On Holidays to my family and friends? Definitely no. Reasons
I had booked my ticket 8 days before departure for 1699. No where in their ad have they mentioned that no matter how early you book you will get your air tickets only 4 days before departure and after that they will reduce to deal price to attract few more. We were a group of 7 travelling together. 4 of us had paid 1699 and 3 had paid only 1299 for the same flight, same accommodation, same shared vehicle. How are they able to arrange the same tour for so less, simple answer from the profit they make out of your money. Now, are you the one who is travelling in the lesser amount or paying more so that someone else can get the discount totally depends on your luck. Because you are not dealing with business people here, you are gambling. My advice if u still plan to travel with them wait till the last minute to book the deal, anyway ur flight tickets won't be booked until 4 days before departure.
Second they promise day tour in a coach with water bottle, that's a big lie, as we were only 7, we weren't travelling with other group in a coach, they had arranged 8 seater. There is no transparency of how and what will they arrange until we land in Georgia. There was another lady with her son travelling with us. We had to use our kids as shield to sit with strange men. 3 men 2 kids 2 women in total sharing the car like some family members which was so irritating, we had to sit like robots without being able to stretch our legs and feeling uncomfortable during all 4 days. Icing on the cake, during airport pick up and drop off there was no place to keep our luggage at the back so we had to keep the big suitcase on our laps sit closely tightly packed with strangers in a car. There was no coach. Again depends on your luck if many have booked or a few, again you are gambling with ur luck, not dealing with good business people.
Third Georgia is one of few countries where travel insurance is mandatory (agree that this is not their problem I have be aware of it and do some research) but the reason we book with tours like this so that they guide us with the documents we require to travel or else we can do everything ourselves. I was informed just 20 hours before flight that travel insurance is mandatory and they can arrange it for 100dhms per person (I got it done for 85 dhms total for 2 people myself and my son) if I new earlier I would have got much better deals on insurance, so don't opt from them, arrange it on your own.
Finally if you are a group of 4/5 plan it yourself, you will be able to arrange a private tour with amazing guide with some research. If u r a solo traveller or couples who are booking with them then be ready to test your luck, it may be good or may be bad depending on ur stars ;) as I said earlier you are not dealing with good business, you are testing ur luck.
Lastly refund or cancellation policy works only if you have booked too early (which i would definitely not recommend), if you have booked it a week or 10 days before forget about refund and cancelation. And this isnt run by some big organization, an individual agent kind of a person who is still figuring out how to make profit, that's how it looks by the way he is arranging the trip and dealing with customers. But do visit Georgia, it's a beautiful place.

One of the amazing trip i have been.before I booked the trip, I read the reviews about the company and everyone was giving good feedback about Ani " tour guide " and I was expecting to meet a good person but I met the best lady ever in this field, always smiling, give the trip a good taste and happy to help everyone. I am recommending her to everyone wants to visit Georgia.

Few days ago, we had a short tour to Georgia through travel agent GROUP ON HOLIDAYS. I would like to express our thanks to tour guide Miss. Ani who is a lovely and nice person. She is good entertainer and engaged us happily all the touring days. She has always smiling face and never got upset with us. She is one of the best tour guide so far I had seen. Such a nice place and group tour.

Excellent 4-day tour in Georgia. Beautiful place. Our tour guide, Ani Gurguliani, was fantastic; incredibly knowledgeable and gave us an interesting insight into the history of the country, art, culture, tradition n much more. She made excellent recommendations for food to try. She spoke english fluently and gave us a lot of useful tips and suggestions to move around the place safely. Highly recommend. Enjoyed our trip.

Pros
1. Tour operator was good providing all the required information
2. Bus provided was good and dropped us to the nearest dropping point where it requires very less walking.
3. Nice colleagues in the group who were always ready to help
4. Facilities in the hotel were good such as Breakfast, Steam bath and Sauna, Pool etc,
5. Limo Ride

Cons
1. TRIP Cost 53000 + 10000 + 10000 + (15000 for AED to INR conversion) = Rs. 87000/- Plus we had to pay AED 60 separately to the hotel which is not inclusive in the package itseems.
2. AED Conversion: Amount quoted for the trip (53000) was on an assumption of AED as 20 rupees. And the same operator was selling the AED at Rs. 24
3. Hidden costs: I paid token amount of 10K and later noticed that the same trip cost was reduced to 46000 since no one opted from Hyd. When I asked for the same he denied to reduce for me.
4. Price Increase: While booking the trip I've been told that Rs. 8000 (400 AED) will be for sightseeing for which I opted to decide later. Before the planned departure the price was raised to 500 AED. And we've been left with no choice to take it since the hotel booked (Holiday Inn Al Maktoum) was 80kms from Sharjah Airport. Literally a deserted place. Check in maps
5. Hotel: Even people who opted for sightseeing had to travel to and fro from Dubai to hotel everyday where we spent 2-3 hours every day (10-15 hrs in 5 days) which lead to waste of time & efforts, tiredness and shortfall of time for shopping. No scope for shopping anywhere else other than the two places suggested by tour operator
6. Shopping: Very less time provided for shopping. For buying Souvenirs we've been given one hour and for Gold Shopping we've been given 2 hours at the place where he recommends us to buy (In these shops making charges quoted for a simple chain or ring are 20% and negotiable till 12%). We've been given 30 minutes at Gold Souq where the making charges were quoted 12% and negotiable between 5%-7%). No time provided for shopping anywhere else such and Meena Bazar etc,
7. Travel insurance is not part of the package. Tour operator will provide this free if you ENDORSE their post and publicize Group On Holidays in Facebook which states the package cost is Rs. 40000/-. If you don't want to opt they can do it for you at a cost of 1000. (I took it on policy bazaar for Rs. 311/-). May be it is required but didn't get a chance to show it anywhere.
8. FOOD at Dhow cruise & Desert Safari was unhygienic. Desert Safari ride was for just 4 minutes.

My review is for the people to go with a mindset that the minimum cost per person for this trip will be 1Lakh.

Guys. Choose wisely as display Dubai tour Prices are in INR and asked to pay in AED which makes overall tour price very expensive than other group tour operators and be ready for last minute surprises for hafty chunks as combo offers, facebook account post for Travel insurance, limited shoping options.
Appreciating part is the good guide with understanding of Indian culture, Nitin Sharma & his wife personally accompanied the enitre tour which is really appreciated.

There are few improvements I would like to advise to Group On Holidays team:

1) You should use more comfortable and new bus for the tour as the places are far and drive should be more comfortable especially when kids and families are taking your tour.

2) I understand that the lunch during a tour day is going to be tough as the places are very far but it should be planned in a way that you should stop at some place during lunch time where people can take away some food …. I know you guys are professional and you have star tour guide “Ani” so you would be able to plan out this suggestion.
